- Job Details:
The clock was tickling idly on the wall of Nessa's office, her violet eyes were face down, skimming through tables. A Long white feathered quill in her hand, she scribbled the figures from the weekend, tallying them up. Her free hand was tapping away at her calculator. Her eyes were tired, and her shoulders stiff. She had been shut away in here for a few hours now, catching up on her paperwork. It had been a pretty crazy couples of week, what with the preparations for the Fairy Festival. She had become torn between helping the guild prepare and order necessary materials. It wasn't a cheap endeavour, but it was worth it. There was also the free time she was putting into rehearsing for it. Then actually performing, and judging, it had been a lot of fun, but had taken up a lot of her time. She also had to squeeze in jobs whenever she had the time. She hadn't seen her friends for a while; she caught Arcadia now and then. Aven, however, hadn't been around much lately, but that wasn't exactly a bad thing. Nessa wasn't quite ready to deal with him, not since she found that note. When they did meet it was bound to be an awkward and uncomfortable experience, she didn't even know how she was going to handle it. But that was a concern for another day.
The room was quiet, every for the idle sounds here and there, so when there was a sudden crack, Nessa jumped. A Will O Wisp had appeared in her room, she stared at it, hand over her heart which was racing a little. The wisp dropped several scrolls onto her desk before disappearing once more. Nessa's stared at the space in which it had vanished, before glancing over the pile of scrolls that now littered her desk. Of course, she was in charge of handling job submissions and clientele requests. She had hoped to leave this until tomorrow, but from looking at the pile, it didn't like a great idea. She sighed deeply, before reaching over and picking up a scroll. Pulling open the wax seal, she used her left arm to sweep some of her scrolls to one side of the table. Before spreading the now open scroll in front of her, her hands skimmed the contents. Her eyes widening slightly, what are the odds... She thought as her jaw dropped slightly. She pushed her chair back, reaching into one of her draws, she pulled out a blank piece of parchment. Grabbing her quill once against she began to scribble a rough letter. Once done, she stuffed her letter along with the newly opened scroll inside a fresh envelope. She stood up, quickly heading out of her office. She rushed down the stairs towards the business desk; she reached the Will O Wisp that waited there obediently. "Send this to the West Fiore Trading Company, For the attention of Johann Von Weiss as soon as possible. This is urgent." She ordered it, she handed over the letter, and with a crack, the wisp disappeared, along with her letter.
Nessa had finished up what she could before handing her work to her fellow aces, informing them she would be gone for a day or two. The next day, she set about travelling to Shadow Island. Where hopefully she would be meeting up with Johann to deal with this specific issue. It seemed that the Clockwork creature's they had handled a while back were back, and worse than before. She knew the sensitivity of the issue at hand; if they were still attacking the Garden of Eden, then she knew Johann would want to see to it personally. However, that was yet to be seen, either way, she felt responsible somewhat. She thought they had dealt with the creatures before, ended the problem and continued on happily. Perhaps they had missed something, either way, she felt obliged to check it out.
As the boat she'd hired made it's way to Shadow Island, she couldn't help but noticed that the closer the boat got the darker the skies were. The skies were thick with dark clouds, she could feel the stars, but she couldn't see them. This was always a little off-putting to her, but still, she was well prepared for the potential fight ahead. The creatures had been pretty rough last time, not so much strong but great in number. Plus there had been that monstrosity at the end, thank goodness Johann, and Mars was so powerful. She hoped she would prove more useful this time, she had gotten a little stronger after all. Although she had to admit that her last experience with these creatures had been a massive contribution to that.
The boat pulled into the dock, and Nessa made her way off of the boat. Her eyes began to glow, and the symbol on her neck lit up. "Tiphanae." She summoned, as she continued to walk along the air next to her shift. The wind suddenly picked up, and in a gust, the wind Valkyrie emerged. Falling directly into stride alongside Nessa. Nessa had already contacted the Valkyries and prepared them for what her intentions were, so Tiphanae was fully aware of why she had been summoned. The fair-haired Valkyrie glanced around, "The air feels...impure." She told Nessa, Nessa stopped, looking around to see if Johann was here yet. She didn't actually know if he was coming, but she could only hope, cause whatever this was, she really didn't fancy facing it alone.
