- EVENT INFORMATION:
- Hello everyone, and welcome to the first annual Fairy Festival! This is a fun social event with plenty of activities included, meant to bring the guild closer together with our influx of new members, as well as to just let everyone have some fun x3
Our first event will be The Parade, an event that will consist of two threads. This thread will have several volunteers put on performances, each on their own parade float.
A second thread will be a spectator thread where people of any guild and any alignment can mill around, and have fun celebrating the Festival as well as watching and responding to the parade. This thread can be found here.
Yep, that's right - this event is open to EVERYONE on FTRP! Our only rule is that any PvP be taken outside the thread, and that people should wait at least 24 hours before posting again to prevent spamming of messages.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact myself or any of the guild aces! Please enjoy the festival~

EVENT
Sorano sucked in a breath of air, arranging her face in as pleasant a configuration as she could. It was the day of the Fairy Festival at last, and it was her and her guild’s job to ensure that the event was as good as they could possibly get it. Slowly, the letter mage made her way up onto the stage that had been set up outside the guild hall. The entire front of the guild had been transformed today, the front being opened up fully with a series of rather complicated architecture spells and allowing anyone to go inside and enjoy a meal at the famed bar. Already, people were coming down the street and crowding around the main road, waiting for the first floats to come out. While the Fairy Festival did include parade floats from various Magnolia organizations and whatnot, the highlight was always the floats of the mages who performed, creating stunning displays of magic and power that always awed the citizens. This guild-hosted festival was a way of thanking the citizens of this town that had so supported and helped the guild out in even their hardest times, and as such, not a single thing could go awry. It would have to be perfect.
She looked out at all the other people standing out around the guild, and knew that there were screens set up all over the city as well. Everyone could see her face right now, and she had to show them all that she was truly the calm, strong, and collected Wizard Saint the media portrayed her as. A carefully designed holographic magical microphone hovered down next to her mouth, and the guild master tapped it twice in a signal to get everyone’s attention. “Greetings everybody. Thank you for coming, and welcome to the Fairy Festival.” Here, the letter mage paused briefly, letting her eyes sweep over everyone she could see. “I am truly honored to be able to host this event this year, and hope you will all enjoy what Fairy Tail has set up for you all today.”
A smatter of applause rose up from the audience at her statement, and once more, Sorano paused until the clapping had died away. “Now, I don’t want to waste your time with pointless blabber, so let’s introduce the events today!” The aces and herself had organized a full day of fun and activities that would hopefully bring attention to their guild from potential businesses and clients, as well as raising their reputation around Fiore and even the world. It was an excellent move of PR, as well as simply providing a fun time for people to relax. “First off will be the parade you are all gathered here for, a collection of the best quality floats from various organizations around Magnolia, and some even beyond the city boundaries! Naturally, our guild will also be providing you with plenty of entertainment with our own special performances, presented by some of our chosen members.” Nessa, Althea, Arcadia, and that new mage, Mia, had been invited to set up floats at the event, and Sorano was certain they would create floats that would be the talk of the town for weeks. Even she herself had yet to see them though, so there was certainly possibility of error. She had confidence in the girls, however, so there was really no need to worry.
Once more, a smattering of applause and a few enthusiastic whoops were heard from the amassed people. “Afterwards, feel free to browse all the booths set up along Dragonborn Lane and Main Street, eat some food, and have fun with your loved ones. If that’s not really your thing, we will have duels set up with select Fairy Tail mages against mages from around Fiore! If you’d like to watch intricate battles between powerful mages, this is your opportunity.” It was the part of the whole schtick that Sorano was least comfortable with – fighting rarely turned out well. But the chosen mages should all be able to handle themselves well, and the arenas were very carefully spelled to prevent excess injury.
“Finally, the festival will be concluding with the lighting of the cherry blossom trees, creating glowing flowers for all to admire in a very romantic setting. Magical fireworks set up by our people will finish off the night in what we hope will be a praise-worthy evening finish. Other nighttime activities will include paper lanterns and a bonfire for people to dance around, and a 50% discount at Fairy Tail’s bar.” Finishing off the description of the festival, Sorano gazed out at the sea of people once more, before clasping her hands together.
“Now, without further ado, let the Fairy Parade begin!” Stepping towards the entrance of the guild hall, closed off by a shimmering orange ribbon, the guild master twirled her fingers, manifesting a pair of ornate shears. The sharp blades sliced easily through the fabric, and instantly, it disintegrated into colorful confetti, setting off a complicated sequence of events that the aces had carefully planned out to the T. It was time for the parade.
