A tall blonde haired woman with a willowy frame stood before a job board, looking through possible gigs she might be able to take. She had the distinct fragrance of lavender that fit perfectly with her purple dress. Her jacket was less fitting, a pure black peacoat, but it was classy. And all of this she had bought with not a dime of her own money. She’d had to rob a man back in another town to get the train ticket to here.
And accidentally killed him. Her brief stint with Basilisk Fang had left her a little morally compromised to say the least. But at least they were probably dead now that their fortress blew up. So far as she knew they were inside it when it’d gone up in flames, so it made sense that they’d be dead.
But just in case Akeldama had taken the precaution of wearing sunglasses. Pretty much the only thing she couldn’t change about her appearance was her face and eyes. And if Iris happened to get a look at her eyes… She wouldn’t doubt that he’d be able to recognize her in an instant.
Even having finally bathed and dyed her hair blonde. She’d even cut it short. It felt weird… And likely wouldn’t stay like that for long with as fast as her hair grew. For the millionth time Akeldama really hoped the guild members of Basilisk Fang were dead. She had a feeling that even with all this it might not be enough. Her only chance was if they assumed she had burnt up in the fire.
