Palms sweaty, limbs weak, and a pit of nerves swirling around in the pit of her stomach. Amalie did not feel good, not in the slightest. Why oh why did I agree to this? She thought in panic. All the available mages had been sent out into this night to deal with this invisible thing that had taken over and caused mayhem. She didn't know if she could cope with it, what if she had to kill, she didn't want to have to fight? What if she lost her footing and ended up dead? She didn't want to die, she had her whole life ahead of her. She wasn't even sure what she wanted to do anymore. Maybe be a teacher? Or a carer? She liked people didn't she? At this moment in time however, all she wanted to do was curl into a ball and hide, to wait it all out and hope for it to pass. The emotional rollercoaster she was on today was exhausting, every little thing seemed to set her off. Am I always this sensitive? She wondered. She felt like she was having a panic attack, a feeling she wasn't used to.

Amalie walked through the streets of Crocus, arms crossed over her chest. She was wearing this a white tank top, denim jeans and black boots, for some reason it was the only thing in her wardrobe that was overly revealing. She was so confused as to why she didn't own more conservative clothes, everything was so low cut or tight. At least this was somewhat normal, although the boots were a little high for her liking. She didn't seem to own any normal shoes, she wondered how her feet weren't covered in blisters. She arrived outside of popular café. All the lights were off throughout town. People were most likely inside hiding, terrified by whatever it was that was cloaking the world in darkness. Amalie really wanted to join them. Their was talk about family or friends not acting like themselves. In a rather oblivious train of thought, Amalie was just grateful she didn't have to deal with that.

She waited anxiously for the arrival of the mages she was supposed to be working with, she hoped they liked her and they got along. It seemed she didn't have anyone to reach out to at the moment, it was strangely isolating all of a sudden. To realise that you had no one, but she couldn't fathom why? Maybe she wasn't a likeable person. But she used to have friends didn't she? a long time ago. Amalie stood there, arms wrapped round herself. Her pale blue hair that was normally down, fixed into a tight bun on top of her head. Her eyes darted back and forth, scanning the area repeatedly. She jumped at every small sound or sudden movement she heard, terrified that something was going to get to her before her companions could arrive.

Post by Yuri and Yuli 16th October 2018, 10:10 am

The recent few days had been truly a rollercoaster of events that Aspen Laeta Azarov had not been prepared for. Some time had passed since the girl had joined the guild that called itself Silver Wolf, she had had no idea what a guild even was before that, though it was still a recent event for sure, especially considering that the girl from Pergrande had spent many a sleepless night in the expanses of the mages guild's library to learn more and fill in the gaps in her knowledge. There was one thing the young dragon slayer couldn't make sense of though, or rather, anyone else couldn't make sense of the same event much the same, either: The world had turned dark. Literally. The night sky had darkened above the guild hall in the phoenix mountains, even the snow falling from the sky had turned into an eerie black, and Aspen had the feeling that something was different. In truth, the girl couldn't quite put her finger on it. In any case, she was happy as ever, a big grin on her face as she walked around the guild hall, ready to go out and help the people of Fiore like a good and upstanding mage. "I wonder what my partners will be like" she could be heard mumbling sentences such as this "I hope they're nice" or "I'm super duper excited for my first mission as a guild mage !"

In fact, however, anyone who knew the real Aspen would feel creeped out, at the very least, seeing her like this. The normally so reclusive, emotionless girl who kept everything to herself unless she couldn't at all avoid it now seemed friendly, outgoing, happy and lively. It was quite the stark contrast, if not even the exact opposite of her regular personality. In any case, Aspen had work to do. She had gotten into contact with some of her fellow alliance members, which she of course thought was a valuable union that brought benefit to everyone, to inquire about the eradication of the threat to Earthland. For some reason the girl had the strong urge to be the hero of the situation. There was nothing quite like the kick you got when putting your life on the line for a just cause. So it had happened that she had been directed to a city called Crocus. In honesty, she had never been there ... or even heard of that place, but anything to protect the innocent populace of Fiore from the evils of another realm ! So it had happened that Aspen found herself stumbling through the streets of Crocus, her Iron Key dangling from side to side around her neck as she made her way down a dark alley. She had to admit, this kind of was creepy, that's probably why no one was around in this darkness, she thought. Turning a corner, her expression brightened up again though when she spotted an unfamiliar face. Was this someone she was supposed to be working with ? Asking, as with all the best things in life, was free. "Heeeey. Hey, I'm Aspen", she exclaimed with friendly tone before running over to the person, immediately going in for a hug "It's SO nice to meet you, oh my god. How are you today ? I'd like to say wonderful weather, but it's eh. I hope you're good. I love your hair. Oh my gosh I'm so excited like, let's totally kick some monster butt woohoo !!"

Truly, this was far from the real Aspen. The "Night of eternal Darkness" or whatever it was called truly was a strange phenomenon ...

    Adalinda Ortinbras

    Iron Dragon Slayer
Adalinda was grumbling to herself as she runs her hand through her hair. She really wasn't in the mood to deal with this... whatever darkness bull malarkey that was going around Earthland and all. It was bad enough that Tamaria, her exceed, decided she didn't like being all cutesy anymore and was now trying to make herself seem older when her own little magic did so much. Her normally cutesy and annoyingly chattery cat, had decided she wanted herself to be a 'grown up' and made her human self seem much older than she really was. It was the strangest thing that the purple haired neko decided she was gonna put her hair up in pig tails and start wearing short shorts with fishnet stockings with some strange sneaker-like heels, and a crop top while wearing red 'smokey' eyeshadow on her right eye, blue on her left, and apparently had gotten her hands on some hair dye and died her left ponytail neon blue, while the right was a neon pink. This Tamaria, wasn't Tamaria at all. This was a little... for a lack of a better word, bitch. She walked around worse than anyone that the dragon slayer had ever seen, even Veles couldn't believe it and was shocked silent with the transformation of the exceed to this... thing...?

"We got to get to the bottom of this..." Adalinda grumbles to herself, figuring that this darkness stuff was half of the reason, or all of it. She couldn't tell anymore. "Tammy! Get over here and lets go! We have to go do a thing." Adalinda had willingly volunteered herself to help out with this Eternal Darkness whatever thing, especially after Tammy started being like this. She yanked off her white company coat from where it hung on the coat rack in her home, and shoved her arms through the sleeves rather aggressively while she watched the small neko- exceed seem to prance down the stairs happily. "So I get to have the chance to kick someone's butt and annihilate them?" "I'm ready to kick your butt and annihilate you if you don't knock it off." She was already on her last nerve with this exceed. She already came to the conclusion that she was gonna die if either of her triplets decided to pull this on her too when they got older. The young mom was just thankful that they're babies right now and couldn't at this point in their life yet.

It didn't take Ada long for her to get to Crocus after she had transformed into a dragon and flew there, but she honestly didn't feel comfortable doing so in this now dark world... She wasn't going to do it again and would have to suffer with a boat if it continued after she finished what she needed to. As she was walking through Crocus, Adalinda yanked her black hair up into a ponytail and kept her eye on the exceed, who seemed to be skipping with a smirk on her face, looking for something to hold. "Ooh! Lets go in that store!" "You keep your grimy, kleptomaniac hands, to yourself. My eyes are on you, Cat." The name came out like venom from the slayers lips as she makes her way to a café she was to meet two others at. 'Look. At. You. You've got that mom voice down pat! You can totally strike fear in the children's souls when they get older. And this time, I'm not kidding.' Veles snickers to her as the slayer kept her eyes on the exceed. She needed to represent and try to be people friendly again, despite her annoyance skipping ahead of her. She tugged on the bottom of her white jacket, making sure her matching pants were fine, and that her company pin was on her collar, nodding silently to herself as they were in place and well. 'Hey, look up, you can make lady friends.' Veles' voice made Ada roll her eyes before she glanced up and put on a terrible attempt of a smile right now. Two girls. Hopefully she could deal with them. At the café, she noticed that one of the people there, was a fellow guild member, whom she only met once, and the other was a new person.

"Hello, ladies. Nice to see you again, Amalie... I hope the company is treating you well," She nods to Amalie as she had recognized her. 'Good job! You remembered a face from seeing them once, for once!' She then looked to the other, and smiled a bit sweeter to her before bowing just slightly as well. "Hello, I'm Adalinda Ortinbras, and that neko there isn't a child, but an exceed, so don't be alarmed by her current appearance. She is also called Tamaria, or Tammy. I'm assuming you two are here to help with this... problem that the Magic Council is having with the Moon Pollen and whatnot?" She raises an eyebrow to the two of them, trying her hardest to ignore Tamaria as she was seeming like she was dancing a bit. She then clears her throat to the two of them as she nervously smiles now. "Ignore her if you can, but make sure she doesn't run off into a store still please and thank you." She was mentally swearing that she was gonna take a long vacation after this if she could, away from Tamaria, if she didn't kill her by then. Her bright blue eyes lifted as she was allowing her ears to listen around them. The silence of the city turned her on edge, and she hated it. Anything could come out at a moments notice, and she wasn't wanting to deal with 'scary spooks' in the middle of the night. Maybe it could scare Tamaria back to normal though...

Amalie gripped onto her arms nervously, her heart pounding in her ears. Oh gosh, what if they don't come? What if the monster get here and I'm all on my own and they surround me. What If they try and eat me? I don't want to be eaten alive!! Her breathing quickened significantly, her vision blurred slightly as she felt the onslaught of a panic attack begin. However a sound disrupted her, she jumped at the friendly greeting, looking over at the girl who walked over excitedly. Big grin on her face and a picture of happy, Amalie slowly came to a calm as the girl spoke. Relief settling in as she realised she wouldn't have to do this alone. The girl hugged her, and Amalie hugged her back, not wanting to let go. It was nice to be greeted so kindly, she couldn't remember the last time she'd been treated this way. Amalie let go, embarrassed to admit she may have held on too long, she didn't have any girl friends after all. Why is that? She wondered offhandedly, Am I not likeable?

"Nice to meet you, I'm Amalie! You're so confident, you think we can...k-kick butt that is? I'm not much of a fighter." She said biting her lip. Shortly after Adalinda arrived accompanied by a provocatively dressed young girl in pigtails, Amalie's face lit up at the sight of her fellow guild member. "Adalinda! My gosh, how pleased I am to see you here. I was so scared out here on my own, I thought I might get eaten!" Amalie looked at the young girl as Adalinda explained was actually Tamaria, Amalie gasped dramatically. "Tammy, that's you! My goodness, you look so... that attire is so...well... " Amalie cheeks flushed warmly, "Surely you must be cold." She finished, unsure of how else to word it.

There was an eerie whistle in the wind, Amalie felt a chill run down her spine and she robotically glanced around to the steady sounds getting closer. Bobbing up and down in a group of eight were horrifically mutated giant squash like creatures. With row upon row of teeth and fruity inside hanging down like entrails. Amalie let out a series of screams and darted around behind the other two girls. "What on earthland is that!" She shrieked in a panic. There was another sound and as she glanced behind her, she spotted another group sneaking their way towards them. She let out another girlish scream, Oh no, oh no, oh no, what do we do ? WHAT DO WE DO? She thought jumping from foot to foot. She didn't like this, not at all, she suddenly had the great desire to run into a store and hide. But that would mean abandoning the others and she couldn't do that either. I don't know if I can even fight though.. She thought, feeling her self-doubt growing. She had to do something, they were surrounded and the squashes would be on top of her any second. Well, here goes nothing!

She quickly turned to face the creatures, "Frost!" She cried in an unsure tone, there was whoosh from within her as the words came out. The air around her grew cold and the wind suddenly picked up. Suddenly as if from no where snow seemed to fall, swirling around in the wind until it developed into a full blown blizzard. Slowing down the oncoming pumpkin monsters, significantly. Amalie's jaw dropped for a moment, before she began jumping up and down with glee. "I did it! I did it!" She exclaimed happily, before coming to a stop. A confused look falling over her face, "What do I do now?"

Aspen grinned broadly when the other told her that her name was Amalie. She really liked this woman, she seemed so nice and kind and -Oh, she had been asked a question. Aspen spun around playfully, jumping from one foot to the other as she spoke "Of course we can, Ama. We'll be heroes ! We'll be cool and awesome and totally popular with everyone ! Wouldn't that be just be the best ?", the casual use of nickname being more of a spontaneous reaction than a conscious effort. The girl was already getting excited. Amalie seemed a few years older than herself, but she had no doubt the two would become great friends ! Before they could go on though there was another new arrival, another woman this time followed by what appeared like a scandalously scantily clad girl flashing in all sorts of neon colours. Aspen couldn't help but think that she would like the same colours for her hair. It would get her some attention, and if there was one thing that Aspen Laeta Azarov loved, had always loved, at least from what she thought, was attention. "Omg Hiiii Adalindaaaa" ran over to her excitedly, clamouring with friendly tone as she went in for the next hug.

She immediately continued "I have no idea what an exceed is, but it's nice to meet you nonetheless, Tammy" she smiled "Yeah, I'm here to defend Earthland against the onslaught of monsters and become a hero ! But I haven't even introduced myself. I'm Aspen, and I'm from Silver Wolf, and it's so nice to meet you, and omg I like your hair, and I like Tammy's hair, and you look really good in white and ..." she sniffed for a couple of seconds, her heightened Dragon Slayer senses ringing like an alarm bell "And oh, are you a dragon as well ?" the girl asked with wide eyes and open mouth, her curiosity and excitement making her unable to hold herself back. It was only now she realized that the woman was booming with magical energy. "Woah, you're so cool. I wanna be strong like you !"

Before she could do or say anything else though, the Metal Dragon Slayer turned around, the creepy sounds approaching from the distance already reaching her ears, her eyes widening with joy when she spotted the pumpkin monstrosities that seemingly floated through the air, slowly making their way through the empty streets of the city "Omg yeeeessss finally some action ! Let's kick some monster buuutt !!" Aspen immediately shouted excitedly, taking the Iron Key from her neck and swirling it through the air, the magical item instantly transforming into the most beloved piece in her collection with the spoken word "Ignorance". Man, how she loved guns, but ... why did she give all her spells such grim names ? Couldn't "Cool gun number one" basically do the same job ? She'd worry about that later. Carefully aiming the weapon at one of the pumpkin things, Aspen was ready to shoot when from her newfound best friend, Amalie, erupted a storm of cold, snow and ice, bursting at the pumpkin creatures that were immediately slowed "That's so cooooool !" she commented, taking another second to hesitate. If everyone else would be doing their best then so was she ! Speaking another word, "Narcissism", a subtle, grey aura surrounded her, boosting her magical abilities before she took aim again, releasing 3 shoots at the first pumpkin creature that was unfortunate enough to stumble into her sights. The brief, but intense flashes of light illuminated the street, all 3 shots connecting thanks to Amalie's slowing ability, it made them fairly easy to hit, especially at this distance, the pumpkin was pierced by one, two shots before finally exploding into chunks of pumpkin and juice. A pleased smile on her face, Aspen took aim once more, unloading the entire magazine into the group of 7 that remained before them, the hammering of the explosions and the muzzle flashes filling the air for a few seconds before the gun was empty. She had taken out 2 more in the volley and severely damaged another 2.

Content with the effect of her weapon, Aspen turned around instead of reloading to face the group of monsters behind them, the weapon in her hand shifting back into the Iron Key that she snapped back onto the chain around her neck to free up her hands. "Alrighty, time to unleash the dragon !", she clamoured excitedly, thrilled by the opportunity to use her Dragon Slayer magic for the first time. She still wasn't that good with caster magic, but she had to make do with what she had, and she knew what people said, "Practice makes perfect". Taking a deep breath, sucking in the cold night air that filled her lungs she uttered "Metal Dragon's ..." before unleashing a storm of air and sharp metal fragments in a cone before herself "Roar !", the metal shrapnel immediately slicing, stabbing and cutting the pumpkin monsters before her into tiny pieces, destroying them. Aspen gasped for air. This was so amazing. Dragon Slayer magic truly was a in another league entirely ...

The dragon slayer smiles slightly to Amalie while she held back a small snort. "I don't think it would be wise to do this on ones own, not without a partner at least." She was about to say more when she was attacked with a hug. Her eyes went wide as she didn't know how to deal with this, and hesitantly moved her arms to pat the girls back. She was used to being the one throwing at least an arm around others, or hugging Yuudai and her babies, and occasionally Tammy when she wasn't being... this, so this was a new thing for her. "Hi... Aspen? Did I hear that correctly?" She questions. Tamaria looks over to Amalie and just grins to her. "Nah! Thanks! Isn't it cute?! And it's not cold at all. It actually feels great. I can't wait to annihilate someone!" "You're not touching anyone, Tamaria..." Ada's voice was a growl at the exceed. She then looked at Aspen again. "An exceed is basically a magical cat that can fly. They can learn magic like transformation magic, like Tammy is doing now, but most times they can just fly fast." She explains quietly. Aspen introducing herself made Ada nervously smile. She had accidentally heard her from a distance away and realized she had asked at first. She couldn't help but chuckle a little at Aspens' outburst and near constant talking. It reminded her of Tammy before. How was it that she was missing that already? Maybe since it was a constant thing that she had gotten accustomed to by now.

"Yes, I have a dragon within me, but I'm mainly an iron dragon slayer. And... I still have a long ways to go before I'm strong in my opinion." She nervously scratched the back of her head when she was let go. Ada wasn't used to being gushed over like Aspen was. 'Hey, stupid, does she smells similar to you in any way at all...?' Veles question, making Adalinda blink as she slowly sniffs the air a little bit. "Wait... Are you a... are you a dragon slayer as well?" She couldn't help but question the girl who had hugged her. A flash of anger had flared within her for a moment. If Metalicana ditched him to teach another child... she swore she was gonna pummel that dragon if she ever saw him again.

The whistle that had come from the wind, made Adalinda quickly turn her head, body already shifting to that of her scales that she quite often needed... They were quite helpful with how she fought. The smell of... squash came to her? Her bright blue eyes look over to the group, and she raises an eyebrow. "Welp, Amalie... I would have to say the party has finally started. Lets show the guests a good time. Shall we ladies?" She couldn't help but snicker while rolling her shoulders out a bit. Her nose picked up more of these squash things behind them, and she feels Veles getting all excited. 'I want to fight them... but at the same time... I want to see how these two do their thing.' He whispered in her ear. Ada couldn't help but feel the same way. She looks over at Aspen, and couldn't help but grin at her with her enthusiasm. She was itching to jump in as well now, but Amalie cried something out, and then the temperature got cold around them. Tammy had been giggling in excitement as she ran up to Adalinda to grab the slayers sword. Ada slapped the exceeds hand away without looking at her. "You want to fight, fight with your damn hands. Till you're back to Tamaria, my Tamaria, you're denied my sword, Cat." She hisses. Of course she didn't trust her, not till she was back to her sweet Tammy again.

Ada couldn't deny she was actually impressed about the key on Aspens neck turning into that of a weapon at the same time as Amalie using her spell and Tammy attempting to take Talizar. She snickers to herself, and clenches her hands before slowly opening them and a pair of closed steel fans were in her grasp. Overkill? Probably. Did she care? Nah. Would Amalie's frost spell thing effect her fans? Yeah... so she would have to make the best of this since cold wasn't too nice to the majority of her spells. She quickly flicked the two fans open, and snickers to herself while she waited for the girls to be done with their bit. Part of her wanted to show off to the girl who was also a slayer, but she also knew she should behave herself a bit. "You fight, Amalie. That's what you do now. Just try to not get hurt. I unfortunately don't have any healing spells for others..." She was about to go out after the little nightmare things, when Aspen had yelled out something about unleashing the dragon. She had to see this girls technique. 'It's not every day you meet another slayer like yourself.' Veles told her, making Ada just shake her head a bit. She stopped as the girl use a spell one similar to her own spell. The roar. A grin spread across Adalinda's face. There was another metal slayer like herself that was a dragon slayer. She then dashed past Aspen with her fans to the original group she had shot at, and jumped up a bit. She used her strength to use the daggers at the tip of the leaves to slice two of the squash monsters, that Aspen left damaged, in half. 'Better thank me for the extra strength I give you.' "Shut up, Veles! They're food, not a thick skinned and boned beast!" Ada growls as she throws her arm out at another squash, but Tamaria had gotten in her way, making her have to quickly twist her arm to miss the neko child. "Tammy!" She shouts in anger.

The cat had managed to get herself a baseball bat that had part of the top smashed up already. The cat had found it not too far away from them, in an ally, clearly discarded because of how broken the tip of it was, either that, or the person abandoned their weapon of choice. Tammy was snickering as she looked a little crazed. Adalinda snapped a fan closed and quickly yanked her back and threw her on her back before she used her other fan to slice the other squash that was closest. She then snapped her closed fan open once more, and threw it at the other one right next to her, letting it slice through the thing while spinning around.

Amalie smiled at Aspen's enthusiastic response. The girl was just so energetic and peppy, Amalie could really get on board with someone like that. Maybe they would be friends after this, Amalie would like that. It would be nice to have someone to talk to sometimes. Although she wasn't sure about the popularity thing, Amalie didn't want a life like that, she preferred the idea of a quiet humble future. Making a group of friends she could share fun memories with. Not having to deal with scary things like fighting or monsters. Maybe even meeting a kind, handsome man who would sweep her off her feet. Falling deeply in love and getting married. Perhaps they could move out to the countryside and grow old together, what a pleasant dream that was. Living a wild, fast and famous life, who would want that? This type of lifestyle sounded far too hectic for Amalie's liking. "I'm not sure about being a hero, I'm mean I'm sure you could but I don't know about me. No matter what though, I wanna do my best and help you guys!" She said with nervous hopefulness. Hopefully she could stand by and provide support for them, the less she had to fight the better. She wasn't sure how much help she could be however, she had used her magic before surely. Yet somehow the idea of it seemed so violent and scary, she didn't have any supportive magic. On top of this frustration revelation there was also the paranoid thought of what if she just wasn't strong enough.

Amalie nodded at Tammy's response, smiling softly, "Well if you're not cold that's good, I could never wear anything as brave as what your wearing. Although my wardrobe does seem to have a lot of revealing clothes for some reason, maybe I should go shopping and buy some cardigans. Hey maybe we could all go shopping together...oh...umm I mean if you want to, you totally don't have to or anything, I was just saying it cause.. Umm.. I mean, forget it, that's was dumb, I shouldn't have asked."  Her self-conscious rambling seemed to drift off, followed by Aspen's own enthusiastic rambling. As the girl from Silver Wolf introduced herself to Amalie's guildmate, Amalie couldn't help but wish she had that kind of confidence and energy. It would be nice to be so relaxed, and easy going. A bundle of positivity energy. Amalie caught the end of the conversation and gasped dramatically. "You mean you guys are Dragon Slayers, oh my, wow. That's so impressive, you must be so strong. Oh I hope I don't hold you back," She added, Dragon's were supposed to be really powerful right? So what did that say about the type of people that slayed them. Amalie couldn't even fathom what these girls were capable of.

After experiencing the terrifying arrival of the squash monsters, Amalie heard Ada's comment and gulped, Party? PARTY? This did not feel like a party. Parties had music and cake, maybe some dancing and the exchanging of pleasant conversation. If this was a party, then it was not the kind of party Amalie wanted to go to, one with scary monsters, and the prospect of death. After successfully delivering her Frost spell, Amalie glanced over at Aspen's gun. Eyes widening at the sight of it, Where did that come from!! She thought, weren't guns really dangerous? She couldn't even imagine having to handle such a powerful weapon. Amalie's attention was drawn by Adalinda who instructed her to fight. "Oh neither do I, I should really learn some. They would probably come in useful!" She went on for a moment before realisation she was beginning to ramble once again. Oh yeah, I should be fighting. What spell should I use? Shards is such a violent and cruel spell, but Burn isn't much better. Oh, I mean they are monsters but still. Killing just seems so mean... She turned back to the Squash monsters, only to realise that while she had been faffing with the internal debate on what spell to use. Most of the Squash monsters had already been destroyed between the two Dragon Slayers. She was proving to be a useless companion already, she felt herself grow sad. She felt like she was letting them down, I'm so useless! She thought.

The sound of growls filled the air, Amalie's looked around, The next set of monsters making their approach. "Oh look doggies!" She said in a perkier tone, only these weren't the playful puppy kind she thought they were. These beasts had black fur, patches torn out to reveal mutilated skin beneath, each bearing the bony body of an hungry creature. Protruding from it's skull and spine was what looked like wax, a set of candle adorned on each of the wolves foreheads. "Oh they don't look too friendly..." She added upon realising the dogs were snarling at them viciously, these had to be another set of monsters to fight. Amalie bit her lip, clenching her trembling hands. I have to...I have to do this... She thought. Her body shook, slowly the magic welled up within her, filtering up through her throat. "Shards."  Although the spell had been spoken in the tone of a hoarse whisper, it was especially loud, and could be heard throughout the area. The air around Amalie began shimmer and vibrate. Upon closer inspection the shards of broken glass that collated around her could be seen, flickering in the reflective light of the wolves candles as they danced in the air.

From an nearby alley, another pack of wolves were emerging, creeping their way slowly towards the group of girls. Okay, now I really have to do this. She told herself, she couldn't let them get swarmed again, these monsters looked even more dangerous than the squash monsters. They stepped into the space the blizzard was still encompassing, slowed by the spell but moving faster than the Squash monsters had. Amalie took a breath of cold air, trying to muster up the courage to attack, with a ferocious growl a pair of wolves leapt in her direction. They seemed to have target her, whilst the others decided to move towards the other. With a scream of terror, Amalie's shut her eyes and threw her hands forward. With this movement the shards darted forward, like a swarm of insects they began to attack the wolves. Each jagged piece hammering into them, bit by bit they glass attacked relentlessly in a bloody display of brutality. Amalie kept her eyes shut, but this didn't help. Due to her magical connection to the shards, she could feel everything. Every cut and slice, she felt bile rise up her throat as the sensation of flesh being torn. This felt so cruel, so malicious and cold. Was this really a spell of hers?

She swallowed back the bile, I need...to be brave. She thought, and throwing up in front of her comrades was not the way to do that. She slowly opened her eyes taking a peek at the wolves, between the cold from her frost still dealing damage and the shards embedded in their bodies, they had crumbled to the ground. Struggling to stand from their damage their flesh had ripped apart. Amalie's eyes widened in horror, she brought a hand to her mouth. This was her doing. "Oh my god, I'm a monster!" She cried tearfully.

Post by Yuri and Yuli 22nd October 2018, 3:10 pm

"Yeah, I'm Aspen" the girl danced around when the other Slayer pushed on further, her mouth falling open a little at the explanation of an exceed. "Woaaah ! That's pretty damn cool. I've never heard of something like that before !", seriously baffled by the concept of a magical cat that can also transform AND fly. "Impressiiiiive", she mumbled to herself excitedly before her mouth fell open once again, the girl releasing an audible shriek. "WHAT ?!", she would call out in sheer awe at what Ada had presented as a passing comment "You have a DRAGON inside you ?! Ohhhh myyy goooosh ... how COOL is that ?!", tears building up slightly as she looked at the Slayer with sparkly eyes. To her right now, Adalinda was the epitome of coolness, a role model that was worth pursuing. Excitedly she stumbled over her own words when asked a question "Y-yup ! Aspen Laeta Azarov, that's me, hehe ... Silver Wolf's resident Metal Dragon Slayer ... B-but, well ... I'm not as cool as you ! I always wanted to learn Dragon Slayer magic so- ... so I crafted myself a lacrima ...", really hoping that the other slayer didn't take offence to Aspen basically trying to copy her magic, not intentionally still, but that was what Aspen felt it might sound like. A magic was a magus' personality, the essence of his soul, in a sense. Of course that could be a bit personal.

The girl was about to explain how she had only done it to compliment her holder magic to have something to back her up when Amalie spoke, a small grin immediately returning to the Metal Dragon Slayer's face, stretching out a thumb pointing upward "That's a-okay, Ama. Let's just do our best to help the people of Fiore ! I still have to pay them back for their incredible hospitality ~!", bringing her back to her past in Pergrande once again. Now that she was thinking about it though ... why did she leave Pergrande and the Paladin's behind again ? The life of a Paladin was basically everything she wanted in life. Fighting, drinking, ... oh right, the whole deal with magic being basically outlawed and punishable by death. Yeeeaaahh ... no, she decided that leaving had been a good idea. She wanted to keep that magic of hers now that she had finally learned how to use and shape it effectively. Still, she couldn't help but feel a bit of nostalgia, a thought process that the normal Aspen would despise herself for. Anyway, she didn't want to deal with that for too much longer, Amalie's comment coming just in time, her face lighting up with a big smile "Omg Yeeeeessss !! I love going shopping ! We absolutely have to, that'd be so much fun !". Though ... the smile did lose intensity with the blue haired mage bringing up the topic of Dragon Slayer's once again "Oh no, please don't say that Ama ! I- uhm ... I hope that I'm not holding you two back because ... well, I haven't been a mage for long. I've only been in Fiore and used magic for a couple of weeks so ... please excuse my inexperience ! I swear I'll do my best to make up for it ..."

And do her best she would. Already stuck in the thick of the fighting, Aspen took a deep breath, flashing a big smile. "Whew, these breath spells really are something, nearly knocked me off my feet. But I'm good to go again !". While she was still trying to deal with the fact that she had just used her own body to cast a spell, Adalinda had already made her move and, seemingly with playful ease, freed them of the rest of these pumpkin monstrosities, Aspen again opening not being able to help but open her mouth in awe, whispering to herself "Woah, what a level of power". Aspen couldn't lose any time with standing there and admiring what was essentially her Dragon Slayer senpai, yeah, she liked that, since as soon as they had dealt with the little floating monsters they were immediately swarmed by what looked like wolves, but those didn't seem nice like the ones she had gotten used to from the guildhall of Silver Wolf. She didn't really want to hurt wolves, she liked them, but these were ... different. Not only that, they seemed kinda weird with their wax and fire and candles. In any case, she had to do something ! To save the innocent townspeople of this ... whatever it was called again ! When Amalie blasted the wolves with shards she moved over, tapping her on the shoulder with a "Good job girl, my turn" before storming past. The broad grin spread across her face as her skin turned changed texture, turning into grey, shiny scales of pure metal, her eyes shining with bright amber colour as they turned into reptilian slits. The Iron Key in one hand, the magic item changed shape again, this time forming a pitch black, single edged sword in her had, the other free hand surrounded by a swirl of dark metal that formed a claw. "Metal Dragon's ...", storming straight at one of the wolves that ripped open its menacing jaws "... Titanium Fist !" jamming her dragonic hand straight into its maw, its skull cracking audibly as it fell limp.

Without pause, Aspen pulled the blood smeared, scaled hand out of the creature, her dragonic eyes finding a new target as she pointed the sword at the next wolf which snarled threateningly at her while circling the girl along with one more of the canine creatures, both monsters trying to flank her. Aspen reacted quickly. A grey liquid oozing from the hilt of the blade, it turned into another Iron Key, the girl throwing this straight up as high as she could, the item suddenly flashing up with a bright explosion of magical energy before standing still in the sky, countless other copies of the Key popping up around it. "Let's see how you deal with this then ... Awaken, Spear of Lugh !", every single version of the Iron Key changing shape at the same time, forming a cascade of long, needle like steel spears, Aspen raising her sword up before swinging it down, the onslaught of spears bursting towards the ground. The wolves were quick, no doubt, they managed to avoid the first one, two, three ... until one of them was pierced through the leg with a loud yelp, the other distracted for only a second as it, too, was struck by a spear. Held in place, the beasts couldn't dodge any more projectiles, immediately pierced by a barrage of steel. Aspen grinned. "And now, for the grande finale ...", snapping the fingers on her free hand, all of the spears suddenly and violently flaring up with intense heat and flame that illuminated the dark streets of this city. The wolves would be reduced to nothing but ash in a matter of seconds. Oh, this long wasn't all the young Dragon had to give.

Adalinda waved her hand at Amalie. "I think you'll do fine. Just focus on what we're to do." She listened to her talk to Tamaria, and takes a deep breath. With how she was talking and seeming confused about her wardrobe, Adalinda figured the girl had something up with her personality too. Best not to say something right now. "I'll pass on the shopping. It's not really my definition of fun. You two can go on a shopping spree if you want though." She says as she turns her head and looks around. When Aspen got all excited over Ada mentioning a dragon was inside of her, Ada had winced a little. "Unfortunately... That's not cool. My dragon inside of me is rather... annoying... majority of the time." When she said she had a lacrima crafted, she nods with an understanding. 'So that's how the child has it... I see... Fake dragon.' Veles' words made Adalinda close her eyes for a moment before she smiled to Aspen again. "That's cool you have a lacrima. I found them to be useful when it came to helping my own magic. If you'd like a tip or two. Don't hesitate to ask. I may not be a good teacher, but doesn't mean I can't try, right?" She snorts a little. She looks over to Amalie as she says she hoped she wouldn't hold them back, and nervously rubs the back of her head. "You won't, neither of you will, trust me... I'm still trying to get the hang of the extra stuff Veles, the dragon inside of me, gives me... So I may be the one to hold you guys back possibly..." She chuckles nervously.

A chuckle comes across Ada's lips as Aspen commented about the breath spell being something. "Well, just lock your knees, might be able to hold your place. Also helps if you've trained your body strength wise sometimes." She says as she's slicing the squash in half before Tammy got in her way. As she started to pick up the noise of growling, Adalinda groans in slight annoyance. "Doggies of death, sweethearts! Not with those noises they're doing!" The dragon slayer didn't like the sounds of those growls, and they didn't even seem like they were friendly when they came into view either. A growl escaped her lips as she counted them quickly. She didn't get to finish as Tamaria jumped off of he back. "Tammy! Get back here!" She shouts. 'Let the cat die. You wouldn't have to deal with her anymore.' 'Zip it, Veles!' She already disliked her dragon, but now he was really getting on her nerves. She looks over to see Amalie saying another word, and snickers at the glass that was around her before she glanced over to the alley. Great... more... There are always more somwhere. She just wanted to stop this. Especially with whatever the heck was going on with her companion, and probably Amalie too.

She quickly snapped her fans shut and stuffed them under her arms as Amalie attacked the wolves with the shards. She quickly darted towards her and put her hand on her other shoulder. "Keep it up, Amalie." She couldn't help but grin to her, figuring she needed the encouragement. "Just know, it's not a clean business, but to protect one another and keep others safe, things like this are necessary. You're not a monster. It was self defense anyways, at least in my eyes." She glared up at a wolf coming towards them. With her fans still under her arms, Adalinda quickly slammed her hands down on the ground and closed her eyes for a second. "Take that, bitch." She only assumed the canine was a female at least. After she had casted a spell, she ripped her fans out from her arms and grins wildly. "Veles, do that strength thing again." She tells him as she snaps the fans open and runs after them. She completely jumped past a wolf that was struggling to get to her and Amalie, but her spell she just casted had thrown a pair of metal snakes into the ground, in which one of them popped up at the wolf and wrapped it around the body. "Spooky Spikes, huh?" She snickers just as the second one came out and wrapped around another. At the same time the two snakes tighten themselves and started to get spiky on the wolves, making them release whines of pain from the combination of the constriction and the spikes shoving into them till they were drained of their energy.

Ada glanced over to the other dragon slayer, and saw the multiple keys. At her words, Adalinda quickly felt the need to jump out of the way, and just in time too as a spear had landed between where her feet had been. As she jumped, she felt something grab under her arms, and knew it was Tamaria, but as soon as she grabbed her, she dropped her. Of course it was the rude one still. Why couldn't she have her Tamaria back? At least she dropped her away from the fire of the spears. Her couple were down without much of an issue, but she didn't want to get caught in Aspens fiery reign over there, and hoped that took care of them for her. While in the midsts of her thoughts, Adalinda picked up on another scent. More pumpkin scent. With these candle wolves gone, and Aspens spell lighting up the place a bit, she noticed something over some buildings. Of course she silently thanked the dragon slayer and dragon in her for that extra help to see it. "Guys... I think the wolves are the least of our worries." She says as she let her nose lead her a bit. The slayer was slightly aware of a nature type park located not too far away from where they were, and this pumpkin scent was in that direction. "Either of you smell an intense pumpkin smell?" She asks as she walks to the park without so much as a second thought to it.

As she approached the park, she stopped. She honestly couldn't believe what she was seeing in front of herself. A tower... of pumpkins... "What is with these damn pumpkins?! They're nearly as bad as enchanted purple plants!" She shouts in anger. She growls as she grips the fans harder. Her snakes had dug themselves into the ground after the wolves were taken out, and quickly burrowed their way after her. As her anger over the pumpkins begun to flair up, they jumped out of the ground and wrapped around a single pumpkin together, stabbing it with their spikes as Adalinda went running after the very pumpkin and swinging her fans out, till it spit out some flaming seeds at her. "THE HELL?!" She screeches as she quickly dodges to the side and jumped back a couple steps. 'You're useless... let me take the wheel.' 'No! I got th-' "Shush it child... You weren't using your senses..." The voice that spoke, was a bit deeper and more gravely than Ada's, and she now sported a grin, that clearly wasn't Adalinda's, upon her lips. Her irises were that of vertical slits, and her scales seemed to hardened themselves a bit more upon her body. "Let your family help you out every once in a while." Veles cackles before he throws himself at the pumpkin from the side just as some vines came after her. Adalinda was still holding onto her fans, and used them to swipe at them since they were in her hands. "Sometimes her spells are actually useful..."

A couple of the vines had the tip chopped off, and Ada went after the pumpkin to be out of spraying of fire seeds range of the bottom most pumpkin, till another sprayed some. Curses were muttered as a couple hit, and Adalinda swiped her fan to knock others away, and went after the bottom pumpkin again.

Post by Amalie 28th October 2018, 10:20 am

When Aspen agreed to the potential shopping trip with unrestrained exuberance, Amalie face lit up with a happy smile. She had never gone shopping with anyone before. As far as she could remember she had always gone alone, as a child her Mother's just dressed her in whatever she could find. Old clothes t-shirts, or bits collected out of a lost and found. Even her school uniform was stolen from another mothers shopping bag. The prospect of having a girly trip out with a real friend seemed like a fantastic adventure, something she never imagined she might actually get to experience. She couldn't remember wanting it before, but boy, did she want it now. She could picture it now, the three of them walking from store to store. Comparing each others styles, trying on dresses together, laughing and chatting away. Having a great time and cementing their bonds as women, it was a wonderful picture, almost perfect in fact. Only her dream was short lived when Adalinda declined the offer. Amalie couldn't suppress the bitter disappointment she felt, and here she thought she was possibly making friends. Her face fell and she nodded sadly.

She didn't have much time to focus on this however because they were soon facing off with the candle covered dogs. After doing what she had done with her shards, Amalie felt horrified at herself. She didn't know if she could do this anymore, seeing what she was capable of, all that bloodshed and horror. It was just too much. However reassurance came in the form of her new companions, each doing their bit to encourage her to fight. First of all, she felt a tap on her shoulder from Aspen, followed by praise in regards to her attack. Then Adalinda joined in, telling her to keep it up before explaining that this was necessary for them to succeed in this job. She was right too, it slowly dawned on Amalie. To protect her new friends, she would need to do this. Her mortification faded and she felt a little more at ease. I can do this! She thought with newfound enthusiasm, she had faith in her companions and they in her.

Amalie shook her head, a meagre attempt to shake off any residual nerves. It didn’t work but Adalinda and Aspens support ad. Watching the two of them fight in together a long with Tammy the Exceed, who was especially into the fighting. Aspens impressive display of weaponry and Dragon Slaying, expertly combined. Using Iron keys that changed into blades and spears before annihilating the remainder of the wolves fearlessly. Then you have Adalinda whose skill and power was especially impressive, her metals fans dealt some serious damage, and at the sight of the snakes Amalie cringed in slight fear. Watching as they embedding the creatures with spikes. The two of them were clearly great mages. It was an inspiring sight and enough to give Amalie the kick that she needed. First of all, she had to deal more damage if she was actually gonna be any use in this fight, she had a spell for that right?

She felt her magic stir up from inside, a pool of energy waiting for be released. It flow up through her, she parted her lips calling out her command.”Empowerment.” Again the word came out with surprising force, reverberating through the air. The invisible magical energy surged around her, pulsing slightly as it rapidly increased in power. Ready for her to harness and fight with. Next she would need to protect herself a little, getting hurt and being rendered useless would be pointless, for the sake of helping the others she needed to toughen up, literally. The magic came out of her once more as she called a second command. ”Resistance,” followed quickly by ”Restoration,” These commands created an additional two pulses of energy. She felt an invisible force of energy form around her body, as well as the magic within slowly begin to replenish a small portion of what had been used so far. Now that her body was ready, what was to come next was the fighting spells. As the wolves were finished off, Amalie glanced around to see what she could do.

She quickly spotted it, it seemed another figure was stalking towards her, a wolf perhaps. She turned to face it properly, it's body revealed in the light of Aspens fire as her blue eyes took it in. She quickly realised that this wasn’t a wolf, but something much more menacing. These animalistic creatures, had the hide of a pumpkin, awkwardly elongated to a form similar to the wolf. Two curled horns, beady black eyes and a toothy maw. It looked as though it had come straight out of a horror story. As it moved closer, Amalie realised there was three more of them, all of which had her sights set on her. She wanted to scream, she wanted to run and hide. But this didn’t seemed like a good idea, because leaving Amalie and Adalinda would be worse than having to face these disgusting creatures.

The closest one moved forward, as Adalinda's advice rang through her mind once more she remembered what she said. She to do this in order to defend herself and to defend others. This was the only way she could protect those around her. She brought her hands in front of her, palms facing outwards. As the Kinpup attacked spell rushed out of her, ”Burn.” From her hands, a magical fire erupted. She directed it forward, hitting the Kinpup directly in the face. The fire attack managed to stop the creature in it’s tracks as it’s entire body was engulfed in flames. She continued her flame attack, using this opportunity to manipulate her glass. Piece by piece the shards began to reappear around her, collating together into a mass. The reflection of the flames flickering vividly in the glass, making them easier to see. The glass shifted through the air, surrounding the burning Kinpup, their jagged points all turning inwards towards the beast. Amalie took a breathe, I have do this, she told herself for the thousandth time.

With the simple flexing off her fingers the shards shot inwards, ramming into the creature on fire. An onslaught, they also sought after the three that were approaching cautiously. These creatures seemed to be smarter than the candle wolves, more cunning in their attack. They attempted to dodge the shards, but with little effect, the shards would chose them down until they were successful impaled. Meanwhile the first one couldn't move, still struggling to cope with the intense flames, Amalie felt nauseous at the smell it was emitting. Still she kept going, her fingers moving almost in a dance as she gave her glass directions. Slowly the pumpkin beast was ripped to pieces, chunks of it's meaty fruit flying everywhere. Amalie suddenly realised that one of the other Kinpups had moved around the other and was making it's way in from her left, snapping it's jaws at her. Without thinking she summoned her magic, calling out a spell instinctively, "Flight." She suddenly lifting off the ground, shooting upwards and out of range of the creatures fearful bite. Phew, that was close. She thought in relief, only to realise that it probably would have been really useful to have cast that spell earlier. Up here the creatures couldn't reach her, she watched as they attempted to jump up and bite her but with no success. This new sense of safety filled her with a slight boost in confidence, waving her hands over the creatures. Her shards began to pour down on them, much like rain.

As the Kinpup that had received both the fire and the shards fell, Amalie cheered triumphantly, she had actually managed to kill one. Maybe this meant she could take on the others without having the relying on the girls. Suddenly there was a massive boom as the body of the fallen pumpkin beast exploded, Amalie was blasted upwards into the air, spinning as the force of the explosion blew her away. She caught herself, stopping the momentum of the attack, she coughed, head spinning slightly, eyes watering from the pain. Ouchie... She thought. That had really hurt, if she had known these things could explode, she wouldn't have been so close when she killed it. Pulling herself together she dropped down, her shard attack had stopped the moment she had been hit with the explosion and the Kinpups were looking for new targets. Oh no, I need to get them away from the girls and kill them as quickly as possible. Amalie racked her brain for ideas, trying to figure out the best way to manage this, as she glanced at her shards a thought came to mind. It was a crazy idea but it worth a shot.

Spreading her fingers, shards began to fill the sky, even more than before. Multiplying and growing in mass, she panting a little from the exertion, she was using a hell of a lot of magic right now but it had to work. She waited until there was so much glass around her that the sky was thick with it before finally beginning her attack. Directing the shards toward the monsters, the wave of broken glass darted underneath them. Embedding themselves under their bodies and slowly lifting them upwards into the air. Amalies body trembled as she forced this glass to carry the creature, she had never used the spell this way and it was by no means easy. One by one lifting the three remaining creatures into the sky. Raising them higher and higher, all the glass  embedding them each with wave after wave of attacks. Bringing them away from the girls to the point where she knew the explosions couldn't harm them. Blankets of glass surrounded the pups bodies until they could no longer be seen. Glancing up at them would only reveal balls of glass floating in the sky, inside which the creatures writhed and fought to escape to no avail. Beads of sweat dripping down her forehead, arms raised upwards and palms outstretched. Finally Amalie clenched her fists as the glass shot inwards, crunching and crackling as they crushed and stabbed the beasts. This went on for several moments until finally, Amalie felt each creature slowly stop struggling, each of them falling dead inside the glass spheres. Amalie waited a moment before quickly dematerialising the glass. Just in time as each pumpkin beast exploding in the air like a fruity firework, raining everywhere like a sea of fleshy chunks. Amalie stared at the sky for a moment, unable to believe what she had done,

Feeling triumphant, she turned to grin at the other girls, feeling for the first time since coming here, not completely useless. Only her smile dropped because in her obvious battle with the Kinpups a new monster had appeared. A tower of pumpkin heads, Amalie stared in shock at the sight of it. However after her moment of success with the other beasts and the sight of her friends fighting, Amalie shot down without hesitation. There was no time to waste, shards rematerialized she came down on the creature with a somewhat awkward battle cry. Joining the fray of their final fight.

"That'd be awesome, thanks !" Aspen replied when the woman offered her tips on how to work with Dragon Slayer magic, though frowning slightly. She couldn't imagine that having the power of a dragon inside you would be anything but cool, that's why she had created this lacrima in the first place, but played it off as Adalinda being humble. The first tip had already come shortly after, when Ada explained that there was something wrong with her stance. That made sense. Something inside her clicked. Of course a magic contained by an inadequate vessel would be harder to control. The Dragon Slayer from Silver Wolf couldn't just rely on her magic, her knowledge or her weapons like she had done so many times before. She herself would have to keep up, physically, for her magic skills and abilities to progress. While she had tried to escape the endless drill and training of the Paladin Order ... she acknowledged the fact that she, while she had obtained Dragon Slayer magic, hadn't made much progress in the last few weeks. Giving Ada a nod before she stormed off anew, the girl grinned fiercely. She would follow the woman's advice.

The wolves flaring up with flame Aspen firmly grasped the hilt of her blade with her right hand. This first hurdle she had mastered easily, smiling as she created another copy of the Iron Key in her free left hand, turning towards the other two women. About to express her happiness with the developments, she noticed the other two deeply involved in their own fighting, with Ada easily destroying some of those wolves while Amalie seemed busy with ... something that reminded the young Slayer of a mix between an animal and a fruit ? Either way, these things seemed more than hostile, the girl with the light coloured hair jumping back slightly when one of the things exploded after Ama had finished it off. "Woah, I didn't expect that ! I'll keep that in mind ...", she whispered to herself while giving the blue haired woman a thumbs up "That was awesome Ama ! Keep it up". Before she could intervene in any of the other fights however the same beings came darting from a nearby alleyway in a group of four, charging at her with the sound of feral snarls and barks. Without hesitation, Aspen aimed the point of the black blade in her hand at one of them, 5 identical swords forming above her, hovering there for a second before bursting forward at the creature, piercing it's orange skin at 5 points and turning it into a skewered pumpkin, the fruity juice covering the street below as it collapsed forward, slamming into the cold stone. "One down, three to go !", the girl thought, readying herself to produce more blades when she suddenly found herself surrounded. The beasts had been quicker than she had expected and had outmaneuvered her. One to her right, one to her left and one behind her, the monstrosities of this never ending night started circling her, the Slayer's eyes darting from side to side to try and anticipate an attack or find an opening, but the things moved in perfect synchronicity. Something had to be done. Quickly sidestepping, dashing to the right she swung her blade at the Kinpup, the swing missing the creature, that simply dodged with a leap, entirely. Startled, Aspen was defenseless for just a second, enough for the Kinpup behind her to react.

The horned monster jumped forward, opening its massive jaws, the dark teeth shining in the glow of the burning spears for a second before sinking into the Slayer's right shoulder, Aspen letting out an audible yelp at the sudden shock and pain. Small streams of crimson liquid slowly starting to run down her arm, forming droplets that separated from her at her elbow and hit the cold stone ground below, Aspen tried to grasp for the pumpkin beast that had attached itself to her and wouldn't let go. The adrenaline kicked in, the pain turning into a universal numbness as she started shouting with intimidating tone "Let me go you stinking, half rotten excuse for a fruit !", trying to shake it off before mumbling a "Fuck it", her instincts and automations kicking in, the Key in her left hand changing shape in the beat of a brow, forming a pistol of charcoal steel. Aspen used her free hand to press the weapon against the Kinpup's head at point blank range, growling "If you're so hungry then try and eat this" before unloading the entire magazine into the creature, 9 consecutive flashes of light illuminating this street, each projectile drilling a deep hole into the monster before finally, it let go. Immediately, the soldier girl seized the initiative, the black blade in her right turning into liquid metal as she brought both her hands together, forming around them a set of two steel gloves, blue runes covering their surface. Dashing forward at one of the remaining monsters, the beast steadied, swinging a claw at her as soon as she came in range, the girl vanishing in a brief flash of light before the strike could connect and reappearing directly behind the Kinpup, her fist crashing into the back of its fruity skull, turning it into mush with the sizzle of electricity, tiny, blue lighting bolts flashing between her fingers. The last remaining Kinpup took a few hasted steps back, turning around in an attempt to flee, perhaps to find a new group of monsters to start a second assault, but Aspen wouldn't let that happen. Vanishing once more, this time in a swirl of what appeared like liquid metal, Aspen reappeared in front of the monster, the gloves now booming with electrical charge. She lost no time, extending out her hands, shouting "Gigawatt Burst !" before bolts of blue electricity surged from the ReQuip, slamming into the beast of fruit, its entire form lighting up before falling limp, the smell of burned pumpkin filling the air as Aspen ran as fast as she could to avoid the ensuing explosions.

Aspen breathed heavily. The wound on her shoulder was still very much present, and very much pulsing with pain as well. The gloves changing back into an Iron Key, the mage from Silver Wolf quickly took it before touching her open wound with it, a silvery liquid oozing out of the magical item before covering her wound, seemingly being absorbed by her skin before vanishing entirely, leaving behind only what appeared like perfect, untouched skin, the only sign of injury the bloodstained jacket lazily thrown over the girl's shoulder. "Phew. That was close", she took a few steps back, leaning against a stone wall at the side of a building, her breath visible as her chest fell up and down with each bit of air she took in. Trying to take a short break after the intensity of the last fight, she heard Ada call out, something about the smell of more pumpkins when the ground in a nearby park began to rumble, from it bursting a monstrosity of yet unseen proportions, vines wrapping around eerily grinning pumpkin heads. If the glowing grimaces were any indication of the fearsomeness of this creature this would be a ride that the young slayer wouldn't forget too soon. In any case, she straightened her back, joining the other two women, running forward and closer towards the beast. "I'll help out ! Metal Dragon's ...", the girl shouted before dropping to the ground, touching it with one hand as a faint grey glow flared up, a silver coloured magic circle appearing where she had cast the slayer spell "... Brass Chains !". With another rumble, chains started bursting from the ground around the massive pumpkin tower, immediately starting to wrap around each of the pumpkin heads, its body and the vines, pulling in towards the ground to hold them in place and give them a good squeeze. "We'll turn you into pumpkin juice ! Meta Dragons ..." the girl clamoured before readying another spell, a burst of liquid metal erupting form her hand with a sweep of her arm "... Lead Wave !", the cone of sharp, liquid metal slicing cleanly through two of the pumpkin heads, the chains releasing the dead plant matter as they fell to the ground with spurts of pumpkin juice. The girl wasn't done however. She could feel her magic power quickly running out, but she wouldn't fall behind. She would go out with a bang. "Time to rock this show !"

A smirk spread across her face. She knew a way she could help out Ada, who seemed to be fighting a pumpkin head as well, and damage the thing at the same time, the gloves around her hand changing back into an Iron Key. The magical item, for a second or two, seemed surrounded by a glowing swirl of liquid iron before the mass of metal shot upwards, Aspen calling out "Punishment", the metal spreading before it turned into countless more Iron Keys, each individual key starting to immediately change shape into dozens, scores, hundreds of various knives, daggers, swords and lances before bursting down with great force, slicing, stabbing and cutting into the monstrous pumpkin boss, turning 2 more heads into nothing but pumpkin juice in the process, covering the entire beast and the immediate area around it in a bunch of weaponry.

The dragon slayer blinked as she noticed Amalie starting to seem upset about her rejecting the shopping trip, and rubbed the back of her head. It wasn't her thing to do. She wasn't girly like other girls. She was the rough and tough, punch a hole in things kind of girl. She just shook her head and shrugged her shoulders. She wasn't going to feel bad for what she didn't like.

While she fought, she heard Amalie casting more spells, and couldn't help but grin a little as she nods to herself. "Keep up the work..." She mutters quietly to herself, even though it was for her guild mate, figuring those spells were to help her out. Before she had gone after the pumpkin tower, she noticed the pumpkin creatures that were coming out of alleys, and groans a little to herself. She was kind of glad Amalie and Aspen were already focusing on them. Could they get this group without her though? 'Don't be a dummy, Adalinda... You know you're going to help them.' Her snakes were already heading towards one of the creatures under the ground. A silent cheer went to the blue haired girl killed one of those pumpkin monster things, but held her arm up to shield her face from the explosion, just barely covering it in time. She makes a face as she didn't like that feeling of pumpkin guts on her at all. "Never carving pumpkins... ever." Ada glances over and sees Aspen nearby with five swords and her own monsters to fight. She guessed those two had their own... As she turned quickly on her heels to get out of there. That was the plan, till she smelled blood. She turned around and saw that Aspen was bitten by one of the pumpkin monsters. She was about to go and help again, but Aspen seemed to have her set of monsters under her control as well. "Guess I didn't need to help you two out." She snorts as she was making her way towards the pumpkin tower thing.

A grin was on her face as the girls came to assist her in fighting the tower of pumpkins. Now she bet they could get this thing gone and done with. After a moment of using both the snakes and her fans, Adalinda's currently deep voice grumbled in agitation. She had only gotten two pumpkins, so four had been taken down and at least the rest injured. This was taking too long for Veles' liking. "Fine then... Lets speed this up..." The snakes and fans both went back into Adalinda's hands as she took a couple steps back, jumping out of the way of a few more fire seeds. The next thing to go was the scaled body around her. Her lips curled into a grin as Veles manipulated his hosts body into that of a full sized iron dragon. He was at least careful to not hurt his hosts companions in the process. "Back off." The already deep voice of Veles through Adalinda, was even deeper, and reverberated now with the new body as he warned the girls that he was going to do something that could hurt them. Veles lifted his front right leg, and brought it down on the tower, using his dragon body's strength before he pulled his head back. "True Iron Dragon's..." He opened his maw, before he leaned his head forward. "Roar!" He was quite close to the tower as he let out a tornado of iron shrapnel at point blank basically. More, smaller pumpkins had come around as the pumpkin head on the top was screaming at them, but the iron tornado that was raining down on the tower, was making quick work of them like they were nothing, since they practically were.

In no time, the tower and the little pumpkin creatures, seemed to have ceased. Veles decided to give Adalinda the rains to her own mind again just as he was in the middle of shifting the body back to the human form, in which Ada happened to fall flat on her face from a short distance above. She instantly feels her body slacking, and shakily gets to her feet. "Damnit Veles! Warn me next time..." She mumbles as she makes her way to her feet slowly. 'Just thank me.' "Not with your attitude... ass..." She didn't think of the fact that she was talking to a being in her mind, aloud, and was probably looking kind of crazy talking to herself. She then patted her legs and takes a deep breath. "Well... I don't smell anymore pumpkin besides the ones here covered in iron... don't use them for pies, doubt they'd taste good..." She weakly grins to the girls, giving them a thumbs up while Tamaria had grabbed her. She was already ready to pass out, between the strain of turning into a dragon, and Veles taking over her body at the same time, it was a bit much for her right now.
