Personality: Hot headed and defensive at times. Reserved and quiet at first around people he doesn't know. Big heart buried underneath a rough and tough exterior. At least 300 words. An avid defender of the "underdog" and those who can't defend themselves. Tends to get into fights due to his hot hotheadedness but is a brilliant tactician and uses his lineage abilities to overpower or out maneuver his opponents. Follows orders well and is a good team player UNLESS he sees what he thinks is a better alternative. As a leader, his tactical nature shines and is able to handle high stress that comes with battle allowing him to make the tough decisions that others might not have the mental fortitude to make. Is willing to sacrifice himself for his friends and teammates or those in need. He grew up under a narcissistic and alcoholic mother who would verbally/physically abuse him as well as the men she would often invite into their home. He had a younger brother named Jael and the two of them ran away from home to escape their nightmare at home. Jael was killed by a group of thugs which caused Malachiel to awaken his Chimeral abilities in a fit of rage. He learned of Fairytail and how it accepts all people from all walks of life and decided to travel to the Guild to hopefully be accepted and find a new family and help others as a way to atone for his inability to save his brother.
Likes: (What does your character like and why?)
1) Training - Being strong and pushing himself to the limit is a way of life and what has allowed him to survive and help others.
2) Strategy Games - He discovered early on that strength does not always guarantee a victory in battle but being smart is equally as important.
3) Reading - Reading was always his escape from his awful life as a child and that love for reading has always stayed with him into adulthood.
4) Eating - With all his training and hard work or perhaps due to his Chimera blood lineage he has a voracious appetite and despite his slim physique is able to out eat men of very large stature.
5) Fishing/Hunting - He uses this activity as a form of training both physically and mentally and helps calm his mind and satiate his appetite.
Dislikes: (What does your character dislike and why?)
1) Discourtesy - This is something he finds as an unspeakably ugly trait in some people and has led to fights due to his hot headed temperament.
2) Harm to kids - Due to his own past, he can't stand idly by as any form of harm is being done to a child even for something as small as a disciplinary act triggers a PTSD like episode for Malachiel.
3) Drama - He stays away from drama as much as possible as he views it as a waste of time and has better things to do.
4) Poorly prepared food/food waste - His appetite is voracious and good food is important, takes the wasting of food or awfully cooked food as a personal insult and has led to fights.
5) Drunks - Anyone acting a fool, trying to sexually force themselves on others or being plain obnoxious due to alcohol, again due to past, just irritates the heck out of him and has led to fights.
Motivations: (What motivates your character in life?)
1) Defending the underdogs and defenseless - Being one himself early in life and having no one to stand up for him he has decided to be someone who will stand up for others in need often throwing himself in harms way without thought to do so.
2) Making money - More money means more books, training equipment, games, and most importantly more FOOD!
3) Family - He has longed to be part of a place to call home and to be surrounded by people he can call his family due to his past and treasures this so hard that he will throw himself in harms way to defend it.
Fears: (What does your character fear in life? Can be phobia or anything else.)
1) Being weak - If he was only stronger/smarter then his brother would still be alive is what is constantly going through his mind and why he works so hard to be stronger and smarter.
2) Starvation - With his huge appetite a major fear is not having any access to good food.
3) Heights - Despite one of his abilities being Eagle's flight, while not using that ability he has major cases of vertigo when up in high places; however, for some reason he can use Eagle's flight with no issues.
4)Spiders - Of all the things he has fought and overcome, those eight legged freaks just freak him the F out no matter how small and is picked on for this fear which has led to fights.
