Despite all the frustration that Eoduun Eero had put her through, near the end Leona felt some sympathy for him. She could identify with his statement about feeling the thrill of battle. Maybe that was why she went after Jacob Goodnight and the necromancer cult. She did not know. But what she did know was that Eoduun was openly offering her a chance to get rid of him once and for all.

He had dropped to his knees and informed her that the strong feelings that allowed him to physically manifest were beginning to fade. He seemed concerned that his time was nearly up. What should Leona do?

A few days ago chances were high that Leona would have taken him up on the offer after all the trouble he had caused in Spooky Forest and Capital Crocus. However, killing him just because he had inconvenienced her would make her little better than Jacob Goodnight. She was not someone who killed for fun or because someone got in her way. She would prove that to Eodunn right now.

"I'll admit that you've caused me some difficulty, Eoduun Eero. But that's not worth a death sentence. I don't have any right to judge you." Leona voiced her refusal to kill him. The blonde hoped that she was making the right decision in refusing to kill him. She felt like that she would not get another chance to make the right one.

He was confused, to say the least. Eoduun Eero was giving Leona the chance she was waiting for but she was refusing to end it? He couldn't comprehend that decision. But it was hers to make and he couldn't change it, only influence it. He would shake his head in disagreement. At least she admitted that he was a thorn in her side. "I don't get why you chose to spare me, but it's your decision to make, not mine." He would say and force himself to stand back up. His legs were trembling, threatening to break under him again.

His initial instinct told him to scream at the sight of blood and acid on his hands. Was that what he had eventually become under Eitur's tutelage? Was that other him.. him? If these scenes were to be believed, which he had no reason not to, then it would mean that what he was currently was him from the past and his other self was what he became later on. So that meant that they were one and the same. Now separated, but able to stand alongside one another. Not exactly standing alongside one another, however. In his ignorance he cast him away, because he was scared and wanted to run away from a side that he didn't recognize. But it was so clear to him now. As he felt his consciousness wane, he heard a voice. "From now on, you shall be known as Eoduun Eero." Eitur. Her voice echoed through his head. He started to wonder if she was the one who was directly tied to his missing memories.

Eero groaned. He was laying down on the hard ground as he opened his eyes. The sky was above him. It looked kind of pretty. But then he remembered what he had been doing. Chasing his oth- Eoduun Eero and exploring the artifact. Right. The boy sat up and looked around. He noticed Leona and Eoduun standing opposite of one another, Eoduun being visibly in a bad shape. /"Did something bad happen?"/ He questioned the situation in his head as he stood up. Eoduun noticed him standing up. "What did you find?" He would question him immediately. "I'm sorry." Eero would reply and slowly walk towards Eoduun Eero. Eoduun's face turned into an expression filled with worry and sadness. The boy would stop few steps away from him. "I understand now." Eero would say quietly. "But now.. Now I want to know what else is hidden inside." He would gently touch the artifact hanging on his neck. Eoduun smiled weakly in return. "You do you. If you can find out what exactly happened to us, we could leave our worries to rest, at last." He would say, quietly.

Eero would turn to his guildmate. "Leona.. I know I have been a burden and that I have been asking for too much from you, but I have one last selfish request to ask of you." He would say, sheepishly. "I will be.. away, for a while. Please, treat Eoduun as you would treat me. We are one and the same, after all." Eero would place his request, hoping that Leona would come through one last time. The boy would then turn to Eoduun with a sad smile and extend his right arm. "I need your strength." Eoduun Eero mirrored Eero's motion, placing his hand in Eero's. "...And I need your kindness." He would say with the same sad smile Eero wore and the boy pulled him into a one-armed hug. The dark aura that had been surrounding Eoduun slowly vanished into the air, leaving no trace behind. Eoduun Eero then started to disappear, as the artifact faintly glowed. Eero closed his eyes, as he felt his soul being tugged away into the artifact. Within a few moments, only Eero's stood there, alone. But it was taller and his face features were sharper. He would turn to face Leona. "I will make up for the mistakes I have made and the deeds I have done. I hope you can trust me."

[Job - Leona & Eero] Our Answer - Page 2 Empty Re: [Job - Leona & Eero] Our Answer

Leona wondered if she had made the right choice in sparing Eoduun Eero's life. What if his whole spiel was just a trick meant to buy Eoduun time to supplant the original Eero? What if she had just been played like a cheap kazoo? Leona spent many agonizing moments worrying that that frightening possibility had come to pass. That apprehension only increased when Eero finally came to.

When Eero turned and spoke to her, Leona was prepared for the worst. Eero was speaking as himself and he had one last "selfish" request for her. Now she was really worried. Had she indirectly killed her guildmate by not eliminating Eoduun Eero while she had the chance? As it turned out, she had no cause for alarm.

He wanted Leona to help Eoduun and treat him like she had treated Eero. So Eoduun had not taken over Eero after all. Leona breathed a sigh of relief because the original was still alive and well, but only going away for awhile. She did not know what that meant, but she did not feel any sinister undertones from the statement. Everything was going to be OK.

"Sure, Eero. I'll look after Eoduun while you're gone." Leona affirmed to him. Moments later Eero stood up, but this time he was taller and exhibited sharper facial features. Taller Eero was kind of attractive... but now he was called Eoduun.

"As I said before, I don't have any right to judge you for what you've done. I've done quite a few things I'm not proud of. I know you hate sappy stuff, but I'm gonna say it anyway. We'll get through things together. Now let's go home." Leona said to Eoduun. She did not know where their adventures would take them next, but it did not matter. They would get through them together.
