    Spoiler:
This was the first time The half demon was going to do a job with someone from another guild without being with another west fiore trading company guild member. This job had been picked in much the same way the majority of his jobs had been, eyes closed and fingers grasping at the job board. The job was what lead to him finding out someone else from another guild had also signed up for the job. This was why he was In a forest at dawn, waiting for a stranger to arrive so they could both enter an awaiting gate. Of course it wasn't like he got there over night, or that he had been approved for the job immediately.
Getting there had taken a bit of time, which was why he had a large bag slung over one shoulder, it's contents hidden until someone decided to open it. Inside of it was just a few items that made traveling a bit easier to handle, nothing that was actually job related. This made arriving at a good hour easier, as well as in fresh clothing. He was wearing a deep grey dress shirt, white dress shirt, white slacks, and black dress shoes. The small touches to the clothes being the cloth that kept his hair tied up and his guild pin.
Hopefully the guild crest would help the meeting go smoothly so they could get right to the job together. The thought of taking too long caused worry, what if the situation they had traveled there to address got even worse? This situation felt a bit nerve wrecking to wait for someone he was unfamiliar with.

What if this stranger saw the sea demonic and ice dragon features mixed upon his flesh and assumed he was a monster? ...No, deep inside the young looking old man knew that was mere paranoia. It just felt a little nerve wrecking meeting someone new without some amount of confidence that in the end they would have to try to get along and understand each other in some way eventually. "I need to relax, over thinking things isn't healthy."
The person spoke with his gentle and soft voice, eyes looking around the forest for a bit. It was a 'cursed land', but it was hard for the doctor to believe in such a thing. Wasn't it more that people believed it was cursed due to how the land worked not going with what many thought was what it should be like? In any case, looking at the trees mellowed frayed nerves. Omaras arched his back a bit, pressing one hand on each side of his back. Stretching felt nice, but like always there was no popping sounds.
"Keep calm." The mixed blood gently reminded himself before putting his arms to the side and relaxing his body. There was some cool tea already brewed and sitting in that bag. Maybe it wouldn't hurt to take a sip? Nothing smooths his heart quite as much as nice tea and good food. If the other arrived right now than it would only take a few seconds to put the bottle of tea away. After a long deep breath though? He decided against it.
Truth be told, it was very easy to get distracted by tea, also what kind of impression would that make? Hopefully the other was ready to meet and work together. Being strangers shouldn't matter too much when it's for the sake of doing something right, well it didn't to him. Did the other feel that way too? Well if they didn't, there was always the reward money.

Rina had been looking off into the distance as she felt the train beneath her move forward. She knew that the journey ahead was going to be tiresome, which was why she decided a train would be able to get her there as close as possible before she would have to walk towards the specified area. For now, she would just sit in the little booth provided to her and think about things to come. Not things about the job per say, but more about her duties as the defender of the heavenly garden. It was a title given to her by the Heavenly Garden Goddess herself. She had said to her that it was a title that would give her amazing new powers. Ones she would be able to fight with. Rina didn't completely know what these powers were, but she had guessed that they had to be of great strength if they were cast upon the goddess herself. Rina wondered if she would be able to hold the title for along time, or if the fight against the Goddess's brother would cause her to lose her power. She began to clench her fist, not wanting to think about losing the battle to the man. She would never allow someone corrupt to rule the Heavenly Gardens. She would not allow it, even if it killed her. She would use every breath she took to fight against him, and get stronger. That is why she must do the jobs she is doing, so she can do what was told of her. That place is what gives her her strength, and gives her her will to survive. She will never just hand it over to someone who will rip it apart shred by shred. She must not, not if it will harm the goddess and the creatures taht worked so hard to give her her powers. There are creatures in the Heavenly Gardens that depend on her. They are depending on her to keep their home. So, she will fight with all her strength once the time comes.

As she looked down at her hands, she saw that there were marks where her nails were. She had apparently been clenching them so hard that there were marks left behind. With a tiny smile, she laughed off the seriousness she had just expressed and began to look insane. People around her were just glaring at her with an annoyed look on their face as Rina just couldn't stop her laughter. It was so bad, that after a minute, she began crying tears of cheerfulness. As she finished up the little insanity spree, Rina took her arms and wiped away the tears, not even caring what other people thought of her. She was a mage that was strong. She had strength in her blood, and she knew that she didn't need acceptance from anybody else besides the Heavenly Goddess, and she was the one that found the beauty inside of Rina. So, Rina didn't care about the people staring at her, because even a goddess found Rina worthy of her time. So, as the train stopped, she got her things ready and began to set off outside of the train and into the woods.

As she walked into the forest, she could feel the nature spring from all around her. It was very beautiful in its ways, but yet creepy. She couldn't believe 2 things that were completely conflicting could be housed in an area like this. She loved nature, especially after being homeless for years, and not being able to travel places, experiencing things like this made her feel happy. As she looked at the trees, she saw their branches look beautiful in the mist, but they striked fear into her as well. Although they were dead, they had mutliple effects. The eeriness of the mist mixed with the dead trees made things less than ideal, but the mist brought out the aspects of the branches, that only made them seem beautiful. She looked ahead of her to see a very tall man. She tilted her head in question as she looked towards him. She didn't really know who would be out in the woods like this unless they had a job. Then, Rina felt a little thing in her head clicked. She had wondered if that man was the same one that had been randomly paired up with her for this job. With that, Rina became to slowly jog forward, trying to catch up with him. As she came up towards him, she slowed down and made a tiny stop in front of him. With a smile, and look of question on her face, she asked him, "Are you here for the same job I am?"

Post by Haraka Omaras 22nd July 2018, 12:21 am

The young looking old man looked over at the female that approached. He had no idea how the job partner was supposed to look. This meant if he said yes and just went along with the stranger, he might be lead along to the wrong job and that just wouldn't do. Since the person he was to meet with was a stranger, going on looks alone would be rather pointless. What would work for clarification? Names, guild name, and the current mission. Both he and the other had been given names of the person they were waiting for, at least he hoped. It had been given to him, as well as the other persons guild. Then again, anyone can agree or disagree if they are or aren't a person. Did he have form of proof of his identification? Well, there was his ID for traveling, but that should be treated more like backup. What was he scared of anyway? No sane person would pretend to be someone than do that someones work for them. Well, there are those who would do that, just not anyone sane. Not being a therapist, he shrugged a bit at his mind. "I'm Haraka Omaras of the West Fiore Trading Company. I am waiting for the arrival of a Rina Everglades from Fairy Tail, are you that person?" It seemed like there was an unspoken rule to starting a job with a stranger, confirmation of their identity. The sooner everything was confirmed, the faster they could start getting things done. If they were that person, then they would know the right mission they were going to do.

He stretched a bit, letting out a sigh. Think about this, would she be out out there for any other reason? Yes. A land like this had to have a lot of things people worked on. But the again... It didn't sound like he had anymore time to wait. There was a sound in the distance, it resembled something like the older machines that relied on gears and cogs. That must mean it was time to stop waiting and start moving. If he wanted to find out where those things were coming from, Omaras would have to follow the sound. He should wait longer, but he had no idea when the creatures would come near again. Though... he still needed to work on learning how to be silent, at least the half dragon wasn't being loud with footsteps either. If only he knew that the woman there was the one he was going to work on this job with, the job that had started on its own without consent. Thankfully there were mote than enough trees to keep hidden with. He didn't try to see them, a fear he would be spotted. The first part of the job was to find where these clockwork contraptions were coming from. Of course, this isn't exactly how he imagined the job would start, but it could be worse. Maybe the machines wont pose a problem after all? But the jaded side of him highly doubted that. Machines don't just pop in a forest without rhythm or reason.

Rina saw the tall looking man beside her, as he asked for her name and guild. She raised her eyebrows, wandering if the man was really that straight forward with his approach. She was hoping for some small talk, or maybe even a little smile, but all she got was a little question. With a small frown, she said back to him with a bit of sadness in her voice, "Yes, I am Rina Everglades, Ace of Fairy Tail. I was sent here to do a job with a partner, most likely you. We were both sent here to review sightings of strange mechanical creatures roaming the area." Just like that, Rina began to get a bit perked up as she continued, "Anyways, aside from the formalities, what kind of magic do you use? I myself use a supportive light magic, if you couldn't tell from the glowing of my body." Rina did a gentle smile as she asked the question, clearly curious about what the tall man right next to her could actually do. Hopefully, he was able to fight, because at this point in time, Rina was mostly supportive with her magic. Sure, she had her spear and was able to create ranged weapons with her hands, but that didn't mean her magic didn't consist of mostly supportive magics. She looked around, to see that the area was very lit up. She didn't realize how bright her light actually was, until she looked straight at the ground. It was night time, making the area seem very dark and spooky. The fact that she was able to spread light around the area, made her feel almost like a portable lamp. As she began to think about her being a lamp, she began to laugh a tiny bit, hoping she wouldn't scare off her partner.

All of a sudden, Rina heard a loud shift in gears coming from a bit farther away from the point the two were at. She had suspected that was one of the weird sightings in the area. Rina gritted her teeth as she began dashing forward towards it. She began to dim down her light enough, to where they wouldn't be easily spotted. She then summoned to her hands her Heavenly Spear, and prepared for what was to come. Coming across the area, she saw some sort of portal like area. With question in her eyes, Rina looked past the tree she was hiding behind, to see what looked like 10 mechanical beasts. They were walking out of the portal, slowly but surely. Rina got even more confused the second she realized that these weren't just regular old beasts, they were chickens. Something about this worried Rina, because it seemed like they were plentiful. However, they didn't look that protected, thanks to them being so small. So, Rina was sure that the two of them could wipe them out quickly and efficiently. She just hoped that the man before her had something that could help with defeating them. She knew she had something, but she didn't want to blow it too soon. So, she looked over to the man, and signaled him to go in first, hoping he was able to see her.

Unnatural Echos Inside(haraka/Rina) Empty Re: Unnatural Echos Inside(haraka/Rina)

Post by Haraka Omaras 2nd August 2018, 2:04 pm

Half ice dragon was glad to know this was Rina, but part of him wished that she had started off with introducing herself. Sure, you don't normally do that when it comes to casual conversation. This is a job where they should both confirm their identity though, as this was their first meeting. She didn't even read the name of the person she was supposed to be working with? Did she read their guild at least? The young looking old man started to wonder if she was forgetful to some degree, or carefree. 'No, don't assume anything yet.' He mentally reminded himself. That's right, they hadn't known each other long enough yet. He would have replied to her question, but for now it would have to wait. One doesn't exactly small talk while following the clockwork sounds. At least watching and observing was easy at the moment and... why was she motioning for him to go at the creatures? He didn't want to give his position away, but he had to see what was going on before making a decision. His tall frame moved a bit, steadying his feet and legs so that he could bend his torso ever so slightly and peek over. It was strange to finally see what he had been following along, a small group of clockwork chickens. A gate? That was when the small group became a not so small group, ten all together. What were they up to? He didn't want to go after them without knowing that. The best thing to do would be to watch what they do, so that was what he continued to do until they all left through the gate.

It was after they left that he finally got out of the sneaking position. They were gone, so he didn't need to be flat against any trees and be careful how he moved. Speaking could even be done! "I don't want to disrespect the ace of a guild, but I am not going to kill without reason. Our job is to watch until we find out what they are doing, only attack if they pose a threat to others." A life was still a life, even if it was one run by cogs and gears. He stretched his body a bit, arching his back pretty far in the process. Like always, he hoped for a popping sound that he knew would never come. At least it was a decent stretch that helped him feel less stiff. Omaras really hadn't expected the job to start this soon, but there they were near a gate that had been used by clockwork chickens. Where did it lead to? Only one way to find out, but he wanted to finish something first. It was the conversation they had been having before the job started on its own. "I use ocean magic as a medium to connect to elemental and plant spirits. My three elemental spirits are wind, lightening, and fire." He had a lot of plant spirits, enough that he wasn't going to mention them. "Also some ice dragon slayer magic. Is your magic purely supportive?" It would make it hard on some missions, right? He started walking towards the warp, but did not plan to go through it quite yet. It felt like if they rushed through it, all that could be focused on was work from there on out.

In any case, this person made him realize that he probably needed to go to a smith. He needed to tuck away anything that stood out on missions like this, not just light. The necklace under his clothing was only good to wear for certain missions, as his own light was not the only telling thing of him. The half demon half dragon self of his was written of in certain history books, horns and all. Then there was his saltwater smell, something that stood out enough that he was like a small walking ocean... which honestly wasn't too inaccurate in a sense. It didn't matter too much that he wasn't glowing. He was lucky that it was unlikely that clockworks knew about or cared of history pertaining countries that haven't existed for thousands of years. At least he knew a lot of merchants and some smiths, after this job he could try to have something made. At least so far his scent hadn't gotten in the way, but it didn't mean it couldn't happen. "Ready to approach the gate, dive in, and find out what or where is on the other side?" He stopped walking just a step away from the gate. It certainly looked old, but also something he hadn't read about, nor knew anything about. It was a little daunting, but this was the only way to keep doing the mission. So Haraka took in a deep breath before walking the needed step to enter.

Unnatural Echos Inside(haraka/Rina) Empty Re: Unnatural Echos Inside(haraka/Rina)

Post by Musicalbunny 7th September 2018, 6:58 pm

Rina felt her blond hair as it rustled in the wind. She was surprised by the sudden statement made by the black haired man. She bit her lip, and then looked back towards the mechanical chickens. She wondered how long it would take them to hurt somebody, if they were truly dangerous. As she looked back towards her partner, she knew that she couldn't argue with him. She just couldn't. It was not her place to argue with someone she was working with. The only thing that would lead to would be the destruction of the job itself. If they weren't able to work together, the thing that was creating those evil looking chickens, could cause mass destruction. At least, if the things coming from that portal were dangerous in the first place. With a tiny mutter to herself, Rina said, "You must work towards the source of the problem to solve a puzzle." It was a phrase she had learned when she was young. Although it wouldn't seem like something they had, her family always had this one puzzle that they worked on little by little. Most of the time, it was the only source of enjoyment the family could have together. They had no lacrimavision, Ilacs, none of it. All they had was one plain, and non magical puzzle. So, what her mother always said to them, before they started, was that they had to picture the bigger picture, instead of each piece as a singular object. Now, it that moment, she understood that her mother didn't just mean puzzles, but life itself. So, as she bit her lip in sadness, she looked up from the ground and said to the man, "Okay, I respect your decision."

So, from there, Rina began to slowly get up from the tree she was leaning on and walked down the pathway with Haraka. She didn't exactly know what to say, especially with what just happened. She stayed silent for a tiny bit, hoping he would be able to start some sort of conversation that didn't make Rina feel so bad anymore. So, she smiled a tiny bit the second he began talking again. It made her happy that the man still remembered what she had asked before. Listening in on it, she thought that the magic could be interesting to see. As he asked her about how supportive her magic is, she giggled a tiny bit and said to him, "In all honesty, it isn't as supportive as I make it out to be. For right now, my spells mostly just allow me to be more of a ranged tank. It helps me regenerate, shield myself, and lets me keep my range just in case of an extremely strong monster. Doesn't mean that my magic is completely selfish though, I do have multiple spells that will help my allies on the field. I'd show you now, but that would just be a waste. So, I guess we'll just see on the battle field. " With a gentle smile, she tilted her head and closed her eyes gently, to show a sign of cheerfulness. Even after all that talk about her magic, Rina felt the need for her to become stronger. She wanted her magic to manifest into something more. She did want to have more supportive magic. There were times on that job with Nessa, where Rina wished she could do more, like heal her better. Either way, she wasn't going to show that tiny distaste for her magic. Especially since she held it so dear to her heart, literally.

As she finished up her talk with Haraka, she saw the portal before her. It really was a beautiful site to see. She looked as the beautiful gears moved together, doing what they do best, turn and turn. They looked like they moved in complete harmony as it gained the essence of the nature around it. The beauty of it all really was something. Looking back up from the beauties of the gate, she looked over to Haraka and said to him, " Yeah, I think that now might be a great time to go in. I mean, if there's chickens like those coming out of the portal, there's no doubt we'll find some sort of trail that leads us to the source of those chickens. With that, Rina phased her hand through the thin sheet of portal as she felt the stale air hit her hand. Unlike the world she was in at that point, the wind was pleasant and gentle. What was on the other side of that portal, was feeling as though there was some sort of distress. She could feel the thumps of something big, as it began to stomp off into the distance. Along with that, the wind seemed to blow, but something about it made it feel empty. Everything about this was just plain odd to her, but she just decided to walk into it. The first thing she had seen through that portal was a girl, and something about her felt a bit off. However, she wouldn't go into it until Haraka came out of the portal completely.

Unnatural Echos Inside(haraka/Rina) Empty Re: Unnatural Echos Inside(haraka/Rina)

Post by Haraka Omaras 8th September 2018, 5:15 pm

Haraka smiled a bit, quietly nodding. The magic still sounded vague, but that was fine. If any fighting happened on this job then he would be sure to find out more about her magic than the words would do anyway. Her magic might be something hard to get a good idea on without seeing it yourself, some things were just like that. He was lucky that his own magic was easier to describe to others. Maybe he was better with words? He barely knew her so the answer could be a number of things. Oh well, that didn't matter. In any case, this gate? It didn't look like a violent place, but he could practically smell the unease and fear drifting around. Not being an empath but still being able to pick that up? Probably not the best sign. A green wind started to twirl around Omaras briefly, a voice coming from it. "She's a ghost." Honestly? Everything looked so strange, the presence of the area was so different than the nature surrounding. Being told she was a ghost was almost a relief, if it didn't mean something bad. Ghosts don't stand before people calmly unless they need something done in order to rest. What would a young childs ghost need of them? It takes effort to show yourself to a living person and she didn't seem violent. He stood there for a few minutes, eyes taking in the details of the area as much as he could. It didn't take much for his mind to put the pieces together, even if he didn't like the results. Still, maybe he was wrong. It would be better to be wrong about something bad, not right about it.

Should he walk over and wait, or ask? Well, stalling and assuming are both bad things. Taking a deep breath, the young looking man let the calm of his breath roll away the negative feelings from the land before walking towards the young looking spirit. "May I ask what holds you at unrest?" The half demon asked calmly, voice as gentle and soft as ever. It was hard to make out where the ghost was looking or its expression with how distorted their face looked. Still, the young voice had a force behind it. "Machines invaded our world. We don't know why, but our world is in danger. Please save us GulBekif." It was mildly surprising to hear that name, but not too much. The goddess GulBekif had been well known to care for the sickly and protect those in need. It did give him the feeling that this ghost hadn't died as recently as he had imagined though, or perhaps those old myths were popular here? There was no use in fretting or wondering though, only action. "I'm not her, but we can help. May I ask the name of this land?" But this also meant something else, he should have destroyed the strange chickens. His dark colored eyes looked to Rina apologetically. "It seems you had the proper instinct to kill the chickens, sorry. I just wanted to be sure first, always." The half demon knew it was a mistake, but did not regret making it too much. There had been know solid way to know before now. "This world is named Eden."

Should more be asked? perhaps. Well, maybe this was what made letting the chickens live a good thing. He looked back to the ghost, nodding. "Thank you. I will track the creatures to the source. If they are invading then it must mean there is a leader among them. With the leader destroyed, the remaining will flee back to where they came from. Rina, I know this isn't our original mission, but will you join me?" He couldn't demand someone go off the job. Honestly, they did what the originally job asked so far. If going back with this information, the portal could easily be used to keep the clockwork creatures inside. But that wasn't what Haraka wanted to do.

As Rina looked at Haraka, she gasped at his words. A ghost??? Rina had only heard of creatures like this through her parents from whenever she had been homeless on the street. She had heard of the dead being able to form spirits from their life essence, essentially becoming a ghost. Due to the fact that the figure in front of her looked so young, Rina didn't even want to know how she died, and why she looked so young at that time. Rina felt chills going down her body, wondering what could've happened to a girl that young. She had to be at least 2 years younger than Rina. Rina couldn't believe someone like her would've died at such a young age. Rina wondered what in the world she could've done to become one of those creatures. However, looking over towards Haraka, he seemed calm. It was almost as though he had encountered a creature like this before. He didn't have the fear on his face that Rina did, his expression seemed to be calm, or at least something that resembled it.

So, as he began talking to the little girl, he seemed to be knowing what he was doing. He asked her about her "unrest" or whatever, which completely knocked off Rina's knowledge on what was happening. Either way, Rina understood the feeling of fear, as she saw it in the ghost. Something about her made Rina question everything about the job she was on. What was exactly happening from that point, and how did someone just stumble upon this. The more and more Rina looked into it, the weirder it got. Either way, she just cleared her mind of it and continued to listen in. With that, she began to realize that the chickens she had previously seen from before were actually dangerous. As she began to grit her teeth, she hoped for dear life that the chickens from before wouldn't get a chance to hurt anyone. Right now, Rina's hope was to shut down all of the mess in the new world was in, which would hopefully stop the chickens from doing any real harm. She just didn't want random people to stumble upon them, and die from their curiosities. She hoped on the Goddess of the Heavenly Gardens, that she would be able to guide the paths of people away from there. With that, she looked back up to see Haraka apologizing for not taking action earlier, and although Rina felt a bit of resentment, she decided that it wasn't worth it. Not when there was a whole world to be saved, so she looked at Haraka and with a gentle smile, she said to him, "No worries, guess that just means we have to be quick. Maybe if we find the source, the chickens will die. So, lets not get our hopes down!"

Rina looked at Haraka and said to him with glee, "Well duh. Even if you decided not to, I made it my mission to protect everyone those clockwork like creatures dealt with. Seeing how troubled the ghost girl is, clearly shows that they have to have been doing something bad. So, let's see now. Do you know which way we should go?" Then, she looked over to the ghost girl, showing that she was asking her as well as Haraka.

Rina seemed all too gleeful over the idea of the chickens falling over dead when the leader did. The mixed blood wasn't actually sure if they would die or leave once the leader died. The young looking man was more than willing to fight and kill either way, but he wasn't going to take pleasure in it. Well, some youthful people were this way, driven by their passions. Omaras was mostly sure that such a step in the half dragons life was skipped due to life circumstances. At least he got to watch someone fully embracing that sort of energy was enjoyable. Ahh... did something bad? Was she under stating the severity of the situation, or didn't fully understand? The ghost shook her head when asked if she knew which way the two should go. Well, it was time to head out. "The leader is easy to find, the mal intent in their magic makes an easy spot." At least that was true. It was a little strange though, since he hadn't felt anything like that from the chickens. He rolled his arms a bit, letting out a pair of massive dragon wings that were coated in a light armor like skin on the top side that seemed a mix between scales and a carapace. What also came out was an abnormally long shrimp tail that was coated in the same sort of deep sapphire material. They didn't act like parts that had been pulled from out of the flesh or created with magic. Their appearance actually meant Haraka was no longer using magic to hide them, a small bit harder to feel out. The limbs had looked more like they had come out of hiding, waiting in hiding. It caused some bits of clothing to no longer exist, but it would at least be a bit easier to move.

The added balance of having the limbs out would also make it easier to move around. "People already died here before we arrived, so let's avoid the small fries as much as we can and attack the leader. Is there a way for you can glow less? It will be easier to get there without wasting a walking beacon of light. The more time we waste on small fries, the more damage the leader could be causing." This was the only hitch in his plans. It was a lot harder to sneak up to a target hard, fast, and unnoticed when one member had a glow on all the time. The half demon didn't want to wait longer to go, but he knew that it was better to get things ready, not just run in blindly. If you run in without a plan, then things could take a lot longer to do. The longer they take, the more damage could be getting done. It was easy to focus on the minions being released, they are most often the ones doing all the leg work. In the end they have no idea how many creatures are serving the leader, but its likely an entire army if enough of them were brought to give anyone the impression that the entire place was going to get destroyed. It was that, or enough force to take down a pacifistic area but not quite army sized. It was hard to be patient, but easier when he reminded himself that it could help them remove the danger as a whole faster. "I can use plants in my magic to make a thick material if you think that putting something like that over you would help. If not and you have no way to cover it, then we will just have to run through as fast as we can and try to avoid getting seen that way." He was not out of ideas yet.

Rina looked about the tall man as he began to form wings from his arms. Rina looked in awe, thinking about how she never truly would've seen such a sight from the alleyway of her homeless life before. Rina thought of the stories she could tell her mother and sister whenever she was able to. Although being ace was taking up her time, she loved it a lot. It gave her so many new experiences to share with her family once she was free from it all. I mean, how could she even give this up? The truth is, she couldn't. This was the one thing in her life that she had loved the most. Not more than her family, but more than everything below it. She couldn't believe the things she has seen or done. The people she's met. The people she had brought into the guild, the people she have made feel welcome. So many amazing journeys and people had gone through her life since she joined Fairy Tail. And honestly, it was sort of amazing. Being able to reminisce over her good memories was truly amazing, and it all started with those wings. The wings that her partner had been hiding. Anyways, she decided to go back to the seriousness of the situation as she began to feel everything grow dim again. Although her light shined, she could still feel the emotional dimness of the area. The terror and the horribleness that had grown through the land.

As she focused more on the wings of her partner, instead of just thinking about the good memories it brought her, she began to notice how intricate the wings were. They were honestly quite beautiful even if they were out of place on someone like Hara. As she looked at him, she saw a few other changes to his body, and wondered if this was either something caused by magic, or something caused by the lack of it. She had known multiple humanoid creatures before that have had the ability to conceal their unhuman like features, and she wondered if that was that, or either some sort of takeover magic. Either way, she didn't believe it was a good time to ask.

Instead, she focused on what he said. She heard his pleas, and Rina gladly complied, as the glow began to dim down extremely as her features began to be shown more. Her smile, although beautiful in the light, was even know more beautiful as only a soft glow had been blessed upon her. The glow really emphasized her features, but yet, it wasn't noticeable to others that were farther away, only to those extremely close to her. With that, she asked him, "There! That she be way better. My light is extremely attuned to me, I can control it pretty well. So yea, no need for any plants or whatever you wanted to put over me." She did a gentle smile as she looked forward, trying to scout out for any onlookers. As far as she could see, there was no one there, but something felt a bit off to her. She kept looking, thinking she would find something, but yet nothing was there except for the silent wind. As she looked over to Hara, she said to him, "Something seems off. It feels like we're being watched by someone, or something. I don't know what it is, but it definitely doesn't feel friendly. We should go towards the leader, but keep an eye out. Something doesn't feel right, like at all."

Unnatural Echos Inside(haraka/Rina) Empty Re: Unnatural Echos Inside(haraka/Rina)

Post by Haraka Omaras 2nd December 2018, 12:24 am

The mixed blood could feel the eyes on him, causing a slight discomfort. Since joining the west fiore trading company, looks seemed to only mean positive things when coming from other mages. At the same time, memories of not so friendly staring rang into the mind. This was why he knew how to smile so gently, why his voice was as soft as it was. The ever present reminder that there was some amount of bias that still existed in the world against those who were not the most human in the world. But this was irrelevant to now, which was why he ignored the uncomfortable sensation. At the least, it seemed like she found a way to dim her light down. How much did she have to focus? Was it her first time? It probably seemed like an unusual thing to ask. If not for ruvel, Omaras would have been unlikely to have thought about needing to hide it to avoid putting others at risk until a later point. Most people seem more busy looking to the beauty in the radiance of light to notice its faults. The explanation to the light that was given was interesting. It certainly explained why she was able to change the brightness. Somehow, it felt like he should comment on it. "You did a good job, we should be able to move along without being detected, so long as we are careful. The ability to control the light well must come in handy, with and without can both be useful." His own light? It was hidden by an item with no way to control it.

It wasn't important to bring up either. This wasn't bonding chit chat time, so there was no reason to bring it up. Both of them having light was odd, but not too odd. They both worked differently. His own light wasn't created by magic, nor was it something he could control or manipulate. It was simply the result of him being half deep sea creature. In any case, it seemed like Rina was getting more aware of her surroundings. This was a good thing, it caused the pale blue skinned person to smile. "That's the feeling an area gets when it's being invaded. It's left over from the souls of the dead unable to rest for some reason or another and other things. But you are right. Now that your light is dim, we definitely should hurry towards the leader as quickly and quietly as we can." With that said, he started moving along. Haraka knew what direction they needed to go into. It was also simple enough to look for the evidence left on the ground and plants to see if anyone or anything came though, if they were careful, if they were not. He was planning to continue this way, silently using the shadows and trees to move along towards the goal, watch the scenery waft by. There was a sort of calm feeling that fell over him. Running during a time of strife was very familiar, though normally he used such tracks to go in the opposite direction. The youthful looking elder was a different person than before.

Back then he was weak, without hope of gaining strength or confidence. Back then there was a certain level of fear in running away. The why was simple, someone who is weak and running as a reason to be afraid. All you can do is run away when you lack the power to confront anything. Over time you find ways to cope with the fear, but it doesn't go away. "Fate is an interesting thing. As a person without power, running away is exhausting and tiring. As one with it, finding a way to be calm is easy. Running towards it, I don't think I would have imagined myself doing that a few years ago. Demon hunters, dragon hunters, other demons, normal life dangers, all that really matters to me now is helping and getting to the core of issues." He spoke with his quiet soft gentle voice. It was one that could easily get drowned out by the sound of even a loud gust of wind. It was the sort of voice good to use when you didn't want to be seen. The world was a strange thing that hadn't let old age take hold, but it hadn't stopped people from threatening him 'in the name of justice' in the past either. Some people could only see and hear one as evil when finding out someone was part something. Not everyone agrees with the concept that the world is full of many shades of grey, that you don't always fall under dark or light for being born something. "..We can still talk, as long as we both do so very quietly."
