Out and About [Callie]

Some time had passed since Callie first ventured out from her regular home into this wide variety of new and interesting sights. Yet it almost felt like she could wander around forever and still never manage to see everything in all it's beauty! The young vixen would smile peacefully as she wandered around, not knowing which way to even face her head to be able to take in as much as possible. With a light flick of an ear, the girl would dart around to look at her small fox like companion who would nudge the back of her leg before pointing out a close by area. Some form of park, a place of wide open space and nature. A perfect place for a little game~! The pair would look towards each other, the same idea racing through both their minds. No words even needed to be spoken aloud before the pair would begin dashing their way across the park in an attempt to out pace one another.

They had no clear goal of where they were racing too, nor knew where they were even going. All they knew is they had some space to stretch their legs and have some fun so were taking the opportunity given to them. It seemed for the most part neither could clearly out pace the other. That was, until the girl began to run out of breath and was forced to slow down as Terra taunted her by running circles around her. "Oh hush you." She'd say with a lighthearted giggle despite being at a loss of breath before stopping completely and bending down, panting heavily as she tried to regain her composure. "I'll beat you one of these days, I promise you that!" Shaking her head, the girl would pick herself back up right and take a gander around herself, noticing a nearby bench she could use. Without giving it much thought, the young girl would flop onto the bench beside someone who was already sitting there. Terra would quickly hop up and sit on her lap before being the first to notice that not only was the person they were now beside was asleep... They had a bird atop their head?

Not wanting to be rude and wake the guy up if her little escapade beforehand hadn't already, Callie would initially bring her finger up to her mouth to make a hushing motion. However, once she herself noticed the bird perched in the mans hair, despite all her willpower trying to resist. She couldn't help but try to sit up right and reach out a hand to possibly pat the small birds head.

Reaching up for the bird, Callie would jump as it suddenly flew off. Even if it was to be expected that a bird would spook like that to most, the young girl had hoped it was the guys pet or something and had been trained not to fear people. Though as she jump and quickly went back down to her seated position, she'd stare off in another direction, quickly pushing the hair that now lay across her eyes out of her view and pretending as if she'd done nothing wrong as the man beside her began stirring awake. Not knowing what to do with her hands afterwards, Callie would simply begin stroking Terra, whom despite her best efforts to avoid him from doing so, was still just staring at the man beside them.

Though the vixen would release a small sigh of relief as she heard the man speak, fortunately he seemed more just confused than annoyed with her in anyway. In fact he didn't even appear to believe it was her fault in any way. Score! "Oh! Uhm..." The blonde haired girl would begin awkwardly before allowing a pleasant smile to take hold of her face and calm her down. Pointing over towards where the bird had flown off to and re-landed, she'd continue. "That bird over there seemed to believe your hair was some kind of nest. Or at least that's what it seemed like to me. When I came over they were resting on your head, I uh, might of accidentally scared it off when I sat down. Whoopsie~!" Although cheerful, her words had an apologetic tone to them as the girls tail flicked nervously. It was weird for her to feel like this, she still wasn't used to talking to people away from her home she supposed. Though as long as they were nice she was sure it wouldn't take her long to adjust!

Callie would continue to idly fiddle with Terra's fur between her fingers as if trying to distract attention away from the fact she'd done anything wrong. Though it appeared the guy wasn't upset about it, if anything he sort of thanked her that she'd managed to get rid of it before it had done something unpleasant in his hair. Which, uh, she hadn't even considered as a possibility! Though she had thought she had done an act of annoyance, she in fact was the heroine again! The girl would giggle at this thought as she watched the bird who'd been resting on the guys head hop around on the ground. "Maybe they're more smart than we give them credit for! Perhaps he was plotting to do something bad all along but I whooshed in just in time to foil their plans!"

The vixen would grin as Terra clambered up onto her shoulder, wrapping his tail around her neck for support as he reached across to try and sniff at the guy they were next to as the man greeted them. Callie too would tilt her head back around to look towards him for the first time since she'd scared off the bird, noticing that the man had rather odd looking eyes as well as big ears like her own. Whilst not leaning in to be as blatant about it, Callie would follow Terra's lead and sniff at the air to catch the guys scent to see what she could learn from it. "Hi!" She'd reply cheerfully to the greeting, waving a small finger wave. "I'm Callie, the little one trying to smell your face off is my friend Terra. It's nice to meet you~!"
