Consciousness of your flaws became an important concept for Lothric once she was orphaned; but she never heeded it. She kept making the same mistakes, she found, and only hurt people by doing it. Her isolationist life wrought nothing but harm. Once upon a time Lothric would have scoffed at the prospect of pity, of being looked down at. Would have tried to fight someone for so much as suggesting she was weak. Would have made every conscious effort to appear as calm and confident as possible.

Lothric holds little back among friends. She says what she wants to when she wants to say it, seemingly with little care for those close her. For lies, she learned, do nothing but prolong would could be said now. So, then, she does not have little care, she has great care; for to lie to those she trusts would not be trust at all.
Perhaps she still doesn't really get socialization. She knows she doesn't have the best grasp on it. The difference is, she's become willing to improve.

Lothric is a cautious and untrusting individual. She does not break bread easily and, as a result, is not afraid to lie through her teeth if it means getting what she wants. With her words, or with her actions; Lothric plays a constant deception if it means she does not expose herself; not for fear of pity, but rather for a reason she doesn't quite understand. Perhaps she simply does not like feeling like she's on the backfoot. She always was a bit of a control freak, after all...

After taking a recent three-year journey of self-improvement, Lothric has steeled her nerves and calmed her ass down. Abrasive and rude she quite clearly is, but it pales in comparison to how she used to be. Her self-control has improved astronomically and she, for better or for worse, gained a sense of honor. Not a... significant sense of honor, but it exists. It's better than she used to be, without a doubt. A sort of awareness of another's life and the worth it has. Reawakened, evidently, to her sense of guilt. The weight of lives is a heavy burden, but she has a newfound appreciation for carrying it.
