Darkness..that was all Rosabell saw in front of her. She was standing somehow, the gaping hole in her chest still all too visible..but strangely there was no blood. As a matter of fact she seemed to be completely clean for some reason, as clean as she was before the whole ordeal with Lothric started.
She tried to move, finding it surprisingly easy to do so. Yet still, all she saw was darkness. It was in every direction, even under her. Was this hell? Then suddenly as if in response to her inner question a light appeared in the distance. Having nothing better to do, she immediately ran over to the light, happy to see that her body wasn't in pain at all, yet in shock as she seemed to be walking on nothingness. Figuring that this light would lead to a way out, she would immediately jumped through.
She would come to regret this decision.
As soon as she stepped through she came upon a familiar sight. A wooded battle field with two broken bodies in across from each other. One being herself, bleeding profusely from the head and crawling towards the other body her wings and tail seemingly starting to dissipate into sparkles of magical aura. The other body..it was Lothric. Her eyes immediately widened in fear as she realized what was about to happen. "NO! STAY AWAY FROM HER. SHE'S GOING TO KILL YOU!" Her voice was one of grief and desperation as she tired to go and rescue herself from the fate that was to come.
Yet, she couldn't get there. No matter how much she ran, no mater ho hard she tried..she couldn't get over to her body. It was like she was on a treadmill, desperately trying to reach a fruitless goal..
She watched with horror as the scene unfolded, using every bit of energy she had to heal Lothric, her enemy. Being lifted up ever so gently..and then the skewer of stone.. She did what her body could not do in that situation..she screamed..she screamed in unending agony and sorrow, the hole in her chest suddenly burning as if set on fire. She fell to her knees..sobbing her eyes out in pain and sorrow.
Suddenly..the floor began to crack the whole scene beginning to shatter as she saw Lothric pick up her own blade, and then it was gone. She fell, fell into blackness landing on her legs the pain now in her chest now gone. With a choked and broken voice, she called out to the emptiness.
"H-hello...?"
But no one came.
Tucking her knees into her chest she began to sob more, the emptiness consuming her. Suddenly amidst her sobbing she saw something, red eyes piercing the darkness, looking at her hungrily. She tried to back up, but then suddenly a new pair of eyes appeared, and another, and another, and another..eventually she was surrounded. She was shaking in fear, the fright far to much for her to handle and then suddenly she felt it. One of the eyes lashed out with a shadowy hand grasping her shoulder roughly. Soon all of them followed suit placing their hands on her body, her legs, her head, her stomach, her bosom, even her throat. Then like a bell reverberating throughout the darkness..she heard it once again, her eyes filling with fear.
"Earth Dragon Skewer."
She awoke with a scream. Her golden eyes suddenly seeing the clear blue sky.
She was covered in sweat, her dried blood all over her body appearing moist and fresh. She looked down at her chest to see that the gaping hole was no longer there, an extremley ugly scar in place of where it should have been. The back of her head hurt like hell, and so did the chest wound but to a much lesser degree than she remembered earlier. It was at that point that she realized that she was alive.
But how? No one could survive a wound like that, especially nt someone as weak as herself..
Then she noticed it..out of the corner of her eye was Lothric..dead in a kneeling postion. Looking over at her 'murderer' she didn't understand what she felt. No anger..no sadness..no greif..not even confusion..she just felt empty..apathetic. Rubbing her chest wound once more she looked over to the woman the realization of what happened coming to her at full force.
Lothric had healed her..whether she killed herself out of guilt, or beacuse she didn't want her pain to last..she would never know. If only she hadn't been so weak..if only she hadn't been so..so..useless. If she had been stronger, she could have just knocked the woman out and left, but beacuse of her..she was dead.
All of this..all of this was her fault..amd there was nothing she could do to fix it. Tears fell once more.
"I-I'm sorry..I'm so, so sorry.."
