Her wind abilities were always one of the biggest blessings she had ever received, being able to manipulate the world around her as if she could touch it in spite of the fact she couldn't. While her winds were no substitute for the physical strength she had lost, sometimes they let her pretended it had never happened. Right now? Was another one of those times because she was venturing forth towards the silver moon inn, under the cover of nightfall with a silver bundle held in her arms as if it was an infant, only it was the wind holding that bundle for her.
Pale skin cast in an even paler glow she uttered a nearly whispered phrase. "We're almost home my pup." Ever since she had found this creature and gotten it away from the crystal swan member who would have killed him? Jiyu had been hiding out with the puppy in a series of caves and other hideaways as they made the trip back to the city. Of course, in the end, she decided it was best to bring him into the city under the cover of darkness when fewer people were out, that precarious time between the nightlife and the morning bustle where everything stood silent. "It's quiet now, but one day you'll get to see this place bustle." just soon as she helped him overcome that nasty habit of trying to kill anything that moved, so he wouldn't kill some random citizen or his sister.
The bell to the restaurant rung softly all chairs expect one tucked into their place for the night, that single chair containing a half-asleep kitsune child who had clearly been watching the door with whoever else had stayed up to watch her. "JIYU!" short purple hair swayed as her kimono nearly tripped her when she ran over to hug the short mage around one leg and look up happily. "I'm Home." the comment was given as one hand with the aid of her winds lowered to ruffle the silverish ears of her adoptive daughter, soft smile on her mouth. "What do you have mum?" the little girl tilted back onto her heels a habit she had picked up from the other mage. "Makoto, I need you to be a big girl now alright?" the little kitsune nodded in response to her comment. "I found an orphan wolf pup of some sort in the woods, he's going to be your brother and he's going to need a lot of help." the little girl seemed incredibly excited and instantly transformed into her kitsune body so she was taller and thus able to see her new 'little brother' as her adoptive mother had put it.
Jiyu crouched down and 'set' the pup on the floor, however, she kept a portion of her wind attached in case she needed to stop him from trying to kill something. Of course, she had fed him a deer before bringing him into the city so hopefully, that bought her some time before he was hungry enough to be violent again. "I'm going to need a different room starting tonight." her own was no bigger than some walk-in closest, nowhere near enough space for two children to grow! Aqua optics grew wide and slightly teary as her mind briefly debated giving them the life she had growing up until her own mother's death, that sheer bliss, so far away from any bustle where they could hunt prey and run wild in the forest and fields surrounding that village, splash through streams. "Can someone watch them for a minute? While I get my stuff ready to move into another room." she didn't have very much so it would only take her a few minutes, just enough to get that ridiculous idea out of her head. She could never go back there!
