Strengths:

• This weapon is merely a close-combat weapon - it can be lethal when an opponent isn't prepared or experienced.
  
• They can block certain objects/elements (depending upon the form of the element).
  
• This weapon allows Riza to get up close and personal with her opponents - she can whip it out in a flash from its concealed slot in her clothes and harm her opponent before they know what hit them (stealthy).
  
• Because this appears to be a normal fan, opponents mightnot see an attack coming.
  
• Can cut through rope
  

Weaknesses:

• This weapon cannot be used for long-range, leaving Riza at a disadvantage with long-ranged opponents.
  
• While they can block certain elements/objects, they cannot block, say, a boulder flying at them. The block range is the length of the fan and its wind blade, nothing more. (Things like fire cannot be deflected yet - when this weapon is ranked up, I hope to have it be able to give shorts bursts of wind to have blunt deflect power.)
  
• Deflecting only works if the object/element is the size of the fans and its wind blade or smaller (about two feet by one foot).
  
• Unless an opponent initiates the attack, Riza is left with your average fighting fan. (She can still attack with it, as it is made of steel, but it won't be as effective.)
  
  

Description: These fans looks like the average hand fans used by women all across Fiore, except that they're made of steel. During certain circumstances, a blade made of wind forms across the curved edge of the fan. It is one foot long and as strong as the actual steel fan, so objects cannot pass through it. (Thus it may be used for deflecting things like bullets or throwing knives.) Riza hides the fans in the satin belt thing around her waist (she tucks these in.)

Description: A blade of wind one foot long (1/3 meter) forms from the curved edge of the fan. It is as hard as steel and sharp at the edge, although invisible to the naked eye.
Strengths:

• It's sharp enough to slice through skin and make marks in things such as trees or brick.
  
• Depending upon the force Riza uses and the distance/reflexes of the opponent, the cuts given may range from tiny scrapes to painful but not deep gashes.
  
• The wind blade is invisible, as wind itself is not visible
  

Weaknesses:

• Only when the wind blade forms during a fighting circumstance can it be used. Riza cannot summon it by mere willpower.(The normal fan function can be used, but not for fighting.)
  
• If Riza isn't careful, she may cut herself (as she cannot see the blade, but vaguely feel it).
