[OPEN to SW] Poko's Predicament Empty [OPEN to SW] Poko's Predicament

Poko’s groaned as her eyes fluttered open. The morning sun had chosen to shine brightly in the sky today and straight through the stained glass window and onto the blonde girl’s soft face, causing her some discomfort. The past few weeks had been quite an ordeal, Leila, Silver Wolf’s guild leader was gone, no one was sure what exactly had happened to her, but it was assumed she would never return. Some members had left, Poko couldn’t blame them, what kind of pack doesn’t have an alpha after all? Worried that the guild might collapse completely, she had taken it upon herself to ensure that the guild would stay strong, taking it upon herself to become the new Alpha. It was not an easy task, but someone had to step up and take action lest her family collapse.

Poko closed her eyes, letting the morning sun warm her skin briefly as she sighed before forcing herself out of the comfort of her armchair. The young maiden was uncertain what the day would bring, but she was sure that it would be no less tiring than the last. With a quick stretch she made her way swiftly through the halls towards the kitchens. The guild leader wasn’t the only member missing, one of Poko’s favourite chefs had seemed to vanish as well, Mizumi. The blonde hoped that the bluenette would return soon, but she kept her hopes to herself, she couldn’t let the other members know just how sad and broken she was, it was her job to keep their morale high after all. Upon entering the kitchen, Poko watched as a few of the cooks had already begun serving today’s breakfast. Not quite as luxurious as it usually was, but that was to be expected now that the guild halls were so empty. She hoped one day to see the guild return to its former glory, a new dream to help paint her future and one that would require a great deal of work on her part. Unlike the previous guild master Poko was nowhere near as strong, but she prayed that her hard work and training wouldn’t prove completely fruitless.

The blonde grabbed herself a couple pieces of half burnt toast and spread some goop from an unmarked jar onto it, while it looked and smelt like strawberry jam there was no way to be completely certain before biting into it. Fortunately, upon biting into the toast Poko discovered she had been correct in her assumption and enjoyed the sweet taste of strawberries fill her mouth before chewing slowly and swallowing the first bite of her breakfast. As she continued her meal she thought of what duties she had to attend to today, firstly she had to check on a few of the researchers in their labs and check that they were all somewhat on track. Guild funding was after all reliant on them being able to create, trademark and sell magical inventions and the like. While most of these were sold legally with the magical council’s approval, some of their more ‘dangerous’ contraptions had to be kept away from the council’s prying eyes and sold to less than savoury clients. However, money was money and they always ensured that they only marked items that were considered legal with the Silver Wolf emblem, lest they fall into the wrong hands and the magic council found out about any shady business. They couldn’t exactly afford to be marked as a dark guild after all, not when the majority of their products were sold directly to legal guilds. Without the profits of their research the guild was definitely have no chance of survival after all.

Poko thought on this subject a bit more as she strolled towards a set of stairs that would lead down to the laboratory below the kitchen, munching on her toast quickly as she went. Upon entering she noticed a few mages working diligently on their work, the blonde nodded in approval. It seemed they were doing well enough for now and she was careful not to make too much noise or disrupt them as they worked hard while she completed her patrol of the lab. Poko would be sure to join them once she had taken care of some other business for the day, she was after all their leader now and felt it necessary to help out in developing new magical items. After all how is a leader supposed to lead without first offering to show others the way? Once she was satisfied with everyone’s work, only stopping to comment on one particular mages work did she head silently back up to the kitchen. Next she had some paperwork to fill out in her new office on the second floor, she hadn’t had the heart to take over Leila’s room completely and had instead had simply created a new room using the guild’s magical attributes.

Poko pushed the wooden door open gently, revealing a fairly well lit room with cream covered walls. Bookcases lined the walls completely, filled with relevant texts for both her research and those on Fiore that she felt were necessary for the political side of her new role. Besides the bookcases the room was barely furnished, with only a small wooden desk, a chair on either side, one for herself and one for a guest, a rare occurrence other than the odd guild member to be honest, not that she minded. No guests meant she had more time to spend on more important matters, the blonde spied the pile of papers on her desk, no doubt she had a fair amount of work to get on with and she wasted no time in taking her seat and pulling the first of the pile before her, carefully scanning over it to discover it was a new request, one that she would have to put on the guild job board later in the day after she had completed the rest of her work. With a small sigh she moved it across, repeating the process of picking up the next paper and reading it over, paperwork was ever so dull.

It was another day in the guild for Leona. Wearing an olive green t-shirt and khaki shorts, she was kind of bored. She was looking for something interesting to do. Instead of looking for a serial killer or a gang of bandits to beat up, maybe she would do something guild-related for a change. Then she spotted a flash of familiar blonde hair.

    Poko Monstar.

Leona had not seen Poko since Truth Or Dare night. She had wondered where Poko had went but had been too preoccupied with jobs to look for an answer. Leila had also disappeared. Again Leona had been too busy to look for an answer. And before Leona even knew what was going on, Poko had become the new Guild Master of Silver Wolf.

Leona approached Poko. The latter looked concerned about something, possibly a mound of paperwork. Being Guild Master was about more than being the strongest in the guild. It meant being a master of bureaucracy and doing the paperwork needed to keep the guild running. Leona did not envy Poko at all.

"Hey Poko, how's it going?" Leona asked the other blonde.

Quill had been super busy with many things over the pass couple of weeks, for one thing the stuff he had set up with Leila had to be re-documented and re-word and many other things. But he did find the time set out and find Poko a gift but also had some paper work for her to fill out as well so it was a double edge sword, he walks in with a pillar of paper for her to sign since Poko was now in charged of the guild."Okay poko, here is your gift and here is all the paper work you have to fill out on my end. Yes I know, its way to much but its all voided so i have to work my ass off getting this all worked out, all of this is just so all my resources can be used by members of SW." Quill just gives her a bundle of papers and said,"You just need to read this one thing, sign it and you're done on my end. I am sorry but it must be done, I will be making you snacks later so just hold out for a little while longer" Quill kinda feels bad for Poko because she has to do all that paper work for the guild but he needed that stuff signed so he can still give SW resources.
