The night was surprisingly warm as Jester skipped through Oshibana, his curled-toe shoes bouncing off the ground as if he were weightless. Swinging his arms and body back and forth, he hummed as he went. Another task, kill a dog, just a dog. Easy money. Jester didn't quite like having to do things for money, he would rather just take want he wanted. But killing a dog, a bad, bad dog, that he could do, even for the sake of a human. He bore no love for animals, humans or anything really. Plus dogs were especially displeasing things, their unyielding love for a human was not something Jester could understand. To love a being that has abused and neglect your kind for years. No, dogs were too forgiving. He would much prefer a stronger more defiant pet, such a Sheeba the tiger from his circus days. A sassy, imprudent thing, often killing more trainee tamers than the ring master had cared for. But Jester had always found her amusing, hence why he had left her go. Letting such a vicious creature live was a much more fun option. Where she was now, he knew not

The clown arrived at the home of the client, he paused to look over it. Rich folk clearly, with a black and gold fence, flower beds lining up the path to the house. Greedy folk, "Want, want, want but never enough." He said aloud, people such as these would bring about their own suffering, although it was one of the least satisfying sorts in the Circus Mage's eyes. He turned and began walking straight past the extravagant home, he didn't need or care to see them to fulfil the request. He arrived in front of their neighbours home, a much more humble and normal household. A wooden fence, designed for privacy, rather than to show off any wealth. Stepping up to it, he peeked over the fence, his golden eyes skimming the contents of their front garden. Their garden wasn't quite as well groomed as the other, most likely due to the pet. Reaching up, he grabbed onto the top of the fence, bouncing a few times. He pulled himself up, hooking his foot over the top, he used it to push himself up until he was balancing on the thin wooden slats. He was used to balancing on such small objects, it was a refined skill of his. He eyed the garden, "Oh beasty~" He said in a sing song voice, there was a snarl in the background, vicious, uncontrolled, and music to Jester ears. His face lit up delight as the creature stalked its way out of the dark shadows of it's garden. This was unlike anything Jester had expected, overly muscular, a wide mouth split in a threatening manner. Rows and rows of teeth, dripping with drool, and positively grotesque. Jester did a little intake of breath, bringing his hand to his chest as though looking as something cute. "Well aren't you a beauty," He said softly.

The creature let out a loud warning bark, deep and volatile, Jester did a little giggle. Bending his knees, he jumped out, doing a flip in the air and landing smoothly on his feet. The creature snarled once more, realising that the strange looking man hadn't taking it's warning seriously. "Shame, shame, beautiful violent beast. Soon to be beautiful violent dead beast. Shame, shame." Jester said, his magic twisted inside him and as he held out his left palm, a stack of cards appeared. Jester took the cards in both hands, then proceeded to shuffle them in an elaborate and spectacular manner. The dog let out another bark and charged forward. Jester smirked, the card flew forward, twirling through the air in a spiral pattern. They began to slice the dogs flesh, sliding across it's fur, cutting deeply. This only made the dog more volatile, much to Jesters pleasure. The card flew away, circling around and attacking the creature with another bout of cuts and slices. A relentless attack, almost like a swarm of never ending blades, cutting and cutting and cutting. Blood splattered all over the garden. He bit his lip, hugging himself as he watched. He spotted the King Card hovering over the creatures head, before driving itself down into the beasts temple. Immediately releasing a stream of poison into the creatures blood stream. Jester began to laugh once more, still hugging himself, he hopped from foot to foot with excitement. Jester let go of himself, holding out his hand, three rings appeared. He adjusted his stance, sticking his tongue through his teeth in a look of concentration. He eyed the thrashing dog that was still trying to fend off the deadly cards. He swung his hand, as though throwing a ring toss as a fun fair. The ring spun through the air, the cards parted to let it through, as the ring caught alight and landed around the creatures neck. Setting it's fur on fire. The creature let out a terrified squeal, thrashing even harder as it burned. Jester ordered the cards to continue their onslaught. Although it wouldn't be much longer. Between the poison slowing it's movement, the cuts from the cards severing it's muscles the deeper  they cut and the burning ring around it's neck. The creature was a good as dead. The creature managed to dislodge a ring only to have Jester throw the remaining two. The rings smashed into the dog, wounding it further.

After a few more moments, the cards stopped. Flying away from the dog and disappearing as Jester returned them to his store. The dog stood there, whining in pain, it looked at Jester taking a stepped forward, before collapsing to the ground. Blood pooling out beneath it, it shivered for a moment, then became still. Jester stared for a moment, biting his lip as he looked at the dogs eyes glazing over and it's tongue lolling out of it's mouth. Jester did a little shudder, as he felt the adrenaline and thrill of the kill coursing through him. Then turned, leaving the dead dog owners garden, smiling as he imagined their horror when they found it the next morning, a single word leaving his lips as he left.

    "Woof."

    END
