Job Description: The success of the two Crystal Swan mages in their expedition to further the studies of dark magic bore fruit when Vincent was tasked with finding a lost Wizard Saint. With the journal of the aforementioned wizard as well as the support of the Magic Council, Vincent managed to finally track him down to a small village in the heart of Iceberg. Equipped with key information from this wizard, Vincent hopes to break the curse looming over him and Elvira which are keeping them linked to the force from which the lost Saint has been hiding. The lost Saint will accompany the two to a basin of pure magical power located in the heart of Sevenwood. Entering this basin will transport those within it to a floating circular platform where all of their negative ailments will be healed, curses included, should they successfully complete the trials presented to them.
Enemies:
Weak: Eternal Guardians - These guardians if the of the basin are truly powerful pure magical entities will which not raise their weapons to any living thing. Instead, they maintain a magical barrier which will only be lowered in the presence of a truly powerful magical being.
Normal: Oathbound Magicians - These Oathbound Magicians are mages who, in the past, attempted to Trial of the Basin prematurely and failed. Two options were presented to these Magicians, either serve the basin in testing future trial goers or perish. These Magicians chose to swear their allegiance to the basin and had their ailments healed and their magic strengthened. Their magical abilities are quite fierce.
Strong: Lux, The Basin Tender - Lux was the first mage to successfully complete the Trial of the Basin. Out of gratitude to the basin for healing her terminal illness, she accepted an offer to stand as the last line of defense to the final platform of the basin. Her requip magic is fearsome and incorporates natural weaponry such as spears made of wood and composite bows which are enhanced through the pure magic of the basin. Is the power of the basin that powerful?
Boss: The Queen of the Basin - The Queen of the Basin is the final trial that anyone who enters the basin must face. Most succumb to the power of Lux, but those few who make it to the Queen herself rarely make it past her. She is the embodiment of the basin and created the trials to give a second chance to those that deserved it. Her magic is not elemental in nature and seems to fall under a caster categorization. Fighting her is ill advised...
Reward: 75k Jewels each from the Magic Council for the safe return of the lost Saint.
