    Spoiler:
When it came to helping the adorable young twin exceeds, he and Adalinda had both volunteered. This was how he ended up in magnolia, making sure that a certain necklace was hidden under his grey dress shirt and white vest. He calmly walked over to the building, glancing around a bit before walking in. Even if this wasn't a job, it was always good to be safe rather then sorry. Their youth made it hard to not want to cuddle them, it made it hard to stay in male form. Still, he needed the calmer mind of his male side. The male side was gentler and calmer, more ideal for situations that required deeper thinking. In this adorable star and moon themed icecream parlor? It had a lot of kid customers, even a few teen couples sharing sundaes, icecream floats, and the like. Dark blue iris's moved in the aquamarine blue sclera of the eyes, the expression on his face looking akin to an old grandparent hawking around for any possible trouble. It didn't seem like the danger was anywhere near the area. Looking around for trouble may have seemed a bit paranoid, but this was something the shrimp always did anyway. It was just one of the things that having an entire soul made more clear. Get to know the two young new members to the guild. The workers at the counter seemed to be relieved, likely spotting the guild pins? He waited for the others to enter before those demonic eyes of his fell on the two young exceeds. "I'm sure you both know that I'm one of the guildmates that will be helping on you around today, I'm Haraka Omaras. It's nice to meet you both. Why don't we all order something, have either of you tried icecream yet? Hamburgers? They serve hamburgers here too."

It was their first job and the twin exceed were super excited for it. The night before they left Grappa had been tickled pink with the thoughts and sights that they would find here while Jellisha played along until she fell asleep after a few minutes of it. When it came time to depart, they donned their official guild uniforms (Jellisha helping her sister with her tie and skirt as she couldn't really do it herself) and flew to meet up with the other members of the guild that had agreed to help them out. They bid everyone at the guild goodbye before flying out to the agreed meet up spot. "You know that we didn't have to say goodbye to EVERY person in the guild hall, right?" Jellisha asked her sister, who was too busy doing tricks while flying and rolling around. "Nope!~ But we're guests and we should be nice and stuff. Plus, when we get super famous, we'll be nice and help members like our two friends!" Jellisha puffed her cheeks out and looked beside her. She hated it when Grappa had a good point. She remained quiet for a bit before speaking. "I guess you have a good- Hey!" She had looked back to find that her sister was busy inspecting a leaf nearby, watching a small insect slowly crawl across it. Grappa seemed amazed by the small brown creature before Jellisha grabbed her and huffed again. "We have a mission to go to! We can look at...whatever that is later."

    "But Jellisha..."

"Later!" The serious of the two yanked her sister away as the two got back on track. Grappa was a bit upset at being pulled away from that bug but soon got over it as they arrived at Magnolia Town. A nice and quaint little town that was perfect for starting their first real job! Grappa wanted to explore every nook and cranny, and probably would have if it wasn't for Jellisha grabbing her back the back of her uniform and pulling her along. It wouldn't be long until they found the shop in question, mostly because of the fact it was an ice cream shop.

"What do you think ice cream tastes like?" Grappa asked as they stood near the door.

"I'm not sure. Maybe like cream. Really cold cream." She answered before flying up to pull it and moving inside. There would be people already there, children, teens, even adults that were quite busy eating their frozen treats. A male with the guild's uniform would greet them both. He introduced himself as Haraka as Jellisha moved forward. "It's nice to meet you, Haraka. We're the new exceed in the guild. I'm Jellisha and that's-"

Grappa had plopped down on top of Haraka's head and was hanging down to stare at him. She smiled widely and poked his nose. "You have pretty eyes." Jellisha paused at her sibling's actions and furrowed her brows. "Grappa." She said and let out another huff.

The Zombie Snow Empty Re: The Zombie Snow

Post by Lethe Fri 29 Jun - 16:35

Adalinda sighs as she rubs her face a bit. She's been having busy days lately, especially since it's getting even closer to her and Yuudai's children coming out of their pods. She was getting antsy for it. The iron dragon slayer walked in after the twin exceeds with Tamaria running past her legs behind the children. She was going to give a small 'job' to them to help them get used to the way things go on around here, and figured letting them come to the ice cream shop for a reward afterwards would be great for the children exceeds. Tamaria was excited while she stood next to Ada as she grinned. Finding out that there were more exceeds, excited the little cat, and she couldn't wait till they were able to help out as well. As she knew everyone was there, Adalinda grins to them all.

"And I'm Adalinda, that's Tammy. I'm the one who invited you two here for a small job. I'm glad you guys are excited." She grins as she runs a hand through her black hair. Her bright blue eyes looked at the young exceeds as she crouches down to the ground to be more level with them. "Well, I'm excited to say that your first job is to-"

"Oh my god! She's back! Crap!" A worker mutters rather loudly as they were cleaning the window. Adalinda had overheard it with her hearing. the workers words caused her to be a bit worried and stands up to look at them. "Excuse me... is something wrong?" The worker turns around and rubs their head. "There's a customer who comes here quite often... and they nitpick their food to no end, when there's nothing wrong with it, and likes to cause a scene over it... apparently a few days ago, she got mad enough she vowed revenge on our shop... and we're kinda worried about what it could be. But I also think they're just idle threats."

Adalinda frowns and nods a little. She was about to open her mouth to say something again when blue snow started to come down outside. She frowns and looks behind her. "Food will have to wait... Haraka, Grappa, Jellisha... I'm having a feeling something's going on outside..." She motions for the three to follow her as Tamaria was already hot on Ada's tail. Ada unhooks her sword from her hip and drops it down to the purple exceed, who caught it in both of her paws as she continues to walk outside. As soon as Ada steps outside though, a small child immediately attacked her side and was screaming something about ice cream at her. Most of it was incoherent as she didn't understand all the child was screaming over, but the moment she looked at their eyes, she knew something was wrong. The blue snow was on the child, and their eyes looked like they were looking right through her. Ada looked up and saw the mother of this child, who was scratching at her shirt and side trying to get her to get them ice cream, was starting to storm up after her. "Jeez Louise!" Ada shouts and pries the kids hands off.

Adalinda looked back to the exceeds and motioned to them to come to her. "Hey! Jump onto my back!" She cries out to them. She bet the children would hurt the exceeds if they saw them, and didn't want that happening. Tamaria was already hanging on the back of Ada's shirt as she had the sword over her back. Of course Tamaria could change into her half-human self, but she didn't feel she should just yet with the children about, they would probably just hurt her as well.

Post by Haraka Omaras Fri 29 Jun - 18:13

On the half demons cheeks and the base of the nose crept a shade of iris purple, deeply steeped upon the skin. He hadn't expected to have one of the children to crawl on him and compliment his eyes. Most people wouldn't, they were clearly demonic in appearance. It was flattering, but also a reminder of just how innocent and new to the world they were. 'Enjoy the innocence while it lasts, but keep yourself in control.' The half dragon mentally reminded himself so he would not let how precious Grappa was distract him from acting proper and polite. "Thank you, they help me see in the dark and under water." Everything seemed nice and calm, like it would be a nice day. This was until the workers had started to panic.
It wasn't long too long after the ice cream parlors staff started talking that a blue snow started outside. For a moment he had forgotten the adorable child was on his head, rushing himself to the doors, then outside. In the snow his eyes gained white slit pupils, the cold seeping into his skin. Children, parents, both seemed under a spell of sorts. It was easy enough for him to guess why, but it was likely due to a mix of medical experience and having seen so many wars in his life. The blue snow can affect the minds of those who don't have enough in their forms to use magic. If those who could use magic were affected, then someone in their group would be acting zombie like.

This meant the kids and parents were innocent. There was only thing that broke thoughts, something warm on him. If Grappa remained on him, she might really freeze! "Adalindas body is warmer." It wasn't a command, but it certainly was meant to sway the tiny person to go for the warmer adult. Now, what to do? He tried to use his magic to make plant fibers into fabric. Where most of the time he wove it into clothing, this time he tried to make it into the shape of a net. It worked, a non magical net was created. It would be good against fish in the sea, but would it be good against people in the snow? There was only one way to find out. He was going to try it on the duo near the iron dragon slayer, but he noticed something coming through the blue snow. "Adalinda." He called out before bundling and tossing the net. He wasn't sure if it would hold out well in the cold, the cold tended to make certain things more brittle.
Taking a deep breath, he ran for whatever he saw approaching. Getting close enough to make out what it was didn't make the ice blue skinned person any less confused. It looked too smooth to be snowmen, too soft to be ice... "Ice cream man?" This wasn't the time to be confused! A blue electricity started dancing on one of his arms before the young looking man started to charge the strange living monstrosity. A pulse of blue lightening went through his arm, hitting the ice cream man thing on impact of a punch. After the spell he continued attacking, but did manage to get hit once before the thing fell apart in a pile of... icecream.

"I like them. They look like ours but less catty!~" Grappa smiled. She leaned back up while atop Haraka's head to make sure that she wouldn't fall off and looked down at the rest of her party. Jellisha would greeted their remaining two team mates, Adalina and her exceed that was being a pretty good mom to them, Tamaria, greet them and begin to give a quick rundown of what the job would entail. Or at least, she tried. It wouldn't be but maybe a sentence into the topic before a cry came out of an employee's mouth. Both twins' ears would flicker at the sudden yell, their attention focusing on the man by the window. Jellisha looked up at the other two and gave her version of a "concerning glance" and then summoned her wings to fly up to a nearby counter top so she wouldn't be the smallest thing in the room. Adalina would take charge and question the employee for a reason to his yell. As it turned out, there was a particular customer that was giving the workers here a hassle. They had been kicked out and sweared revenge, even if they were always so picky over the food. "That's so mean! Don't worry though! We're here to make sure nothing bad happens. We're from..." The green eyed exceed hesitated before pausing and looking down at Haraka, Tamaria and Adalina. "Umm, what's our guild name again?" The sounds of Jellisha groaning could be heard as she hid her face in her paws.

Adalina broke the bad news to the twins, both of them frowning at the idea of not getting food like they were planning to do here. "But we're really hungry..." They said in unison, Jellisha puffed out her cheeks and crossing her arms. All those plans of dining on whatever food that the humans made here, it all looked so tempting. Why did the villains and evil organizations always have to show up at the worst times? They followed everyone outside, Grappa still riding atop Haraka's head and Jellisha floating beside Adalina. Blue snow was falling outside, but wasn't it just a normal sunny day just minutes ago? "Wow. This weather sure is weird." The sudden attack on Adalina by a frenzied child spooked the twins, Jellisha making sure to keep her distance above the ground level. She wasn't going to be tampled on or have her tail yanked on the first job. "Anybody else get the feeling that something's not right?" Jellisha asked with enough sarcasm for about ten exceeds. Still, Adalina was worried enough for their safety. She gave them the command to jump on her back and Jellisha obliged. Grappa hung back to shoot Haraka a look that meant for him to be safe and then raced over towards her sister and Adalina. The twins then hung back to rest on the female's shoulders, each exceed resting on either side. Their fur was warm and felt surprisingly soft. Haraka would take off into battle as Grappa called out to him. "Be careful, Haraka!" Meanwhile, they would look at Adalina while awaiting her orders for them. They were pretty new still and had some hang ups. Jellisha wouldn't attack with a command and Grappa was too worried about the other two members of their group to go off on her own.

The Zombie Snow Empty Re: The Zombie Snow

Post by Lethe Sun 8 Jul - 21:41

"We're West Fiore Trading Company, Grappa." Tamaria had told them before she went into action with Adalinda. "I'm sorry kids! But we gotta take care of this. I'll buy you ice cream when it's done and over with." She tells them before she fully leaves the building and was attacked by the little heathen of a child. As the twin exceeds were on her shoulders with Tammy in the middle of them, Ada jumps back a couple steps to be on top of a table that was outside. The slayer didn't mind Grappa calling out to Haraka, but she was a bit rattled by the yell in her ear. She didn't mention it to the exceed though, they were in a tight spot. Ada watched as Haraka threw a net on the child that attacked her, and the parent. They seemed a bit confused by the action and were trying to get out of the net. Ada then turned her head when Haraka called her name, and frowns at the giant thing coming at the shop. She let Haraka take care of what seemed like an ice cream snow man thing, and frowns at it. "Hey Grappa, Jellisha... What do you two do for magic? I was gonna give you something simple to do to play around with your magic for, but it might be useful here too." She says as she notices that there was a second ice cream snowman behind the first. "Crap..." She hisses under her breath. "Tammy?"

Tamaria giggles as she dropped from Ada's back and shifted to that of a neko child with purple hair and the same purple eyes, ears, and tail while donning purple clothing. She held Ihai Agneya Talizar up and clicked a button to make the scabbard light aflame. "Melt it?" Ada chuckles as she nods and Tamaria quickly launched herself into the air and was starting to fly at the second snowman before it launched a ice cream cone at her. She screeches and flies out of the way of the missile, and looks back as Adalinda called out a three-sided corkscrew looking sword made of iron from the palm of her hand. "Okay! Time to tear apart these frozen treats." She chuckles before she glances to the children on her shoulders. She pouts a bit as she looks back to the ice cream snow man and then to her sword. Then a snicker escapes her lips and she chucks the sword at the ice cream snowman and piercing through the snow. It made the ice cream snowman drip down from the three holes within it. "Tammy! Now!" She shouts as Tamaria went charging at the ice cream snowman with her flaming sword scabbard. The slice she did with it melted the heart of the ice cream, and she used her wings to shoot herself up and cut the ice cream man in half. As soon as the fire scabbard was out of the ice cream, the rest of it started to melt into a puddle in the snow, freezing over slowly.

Adalinda takes a deep breath and looks around. "Keep an eye out you two... I feel our culprit for the snow and ice cream men are bound to be here..." She mutters to the twin exceeds. She then gasped and pointed to Tamaria. "Go up with Tammy and search for a lady who seems to be using snow or ice cream type magic. Give Haraka and I a heads up about what you see. But be careful to make sure that it really is the lady. She seems to be hiding right now, since one of the workers saw her before the snow." She tells the two and starts relying on her dragon slayer senses to try to at least hear for the lady.

The Zombie Snow Empty Re: The Zombie Snow

Post by Haraka Omaras Tue 10 Jul - 17:26

There was something incredibly unsatisfying about beating an enemy only to have them turn into a massive pile of icecream. A person wasn't saved or killed or chased off, it was just a pile of food. Was it even edible? Haraka knew he probably shouldn't, but curiosity got the better of him. Ice blue fingers dug into the pile, but the flavor that delivered down his throat with a bite wasn't exactly the most satisfying. What remained in his hand was shaken out like it was infected with something, but in his mind? It was, with a terrible thing called bad taste. "She has the gull to complain about someone elses work then make enemies from sub par icecream? Did she make this? Because I know the shop shes trying to attack has a much thicker and creamier base. This flavor also tastes artificial, despite that it was created by magic." He wasn't trying to anger the unruly customer hidden somewhere in the blue snow, but it really felt like the ice cream monster had been made from sub par material, even artificial flavoring. How did the cranky customer even manage to create such sub par icecream? He had always imagined there would be something special about magically created icecream, maybe the half blood was too used to all the love he got from his own. 'Ahh, that must be it!' Omaras thought to himself. "I get it now, this ice cream's so sub par due to the kind of emotions that went into it's crafting." Now, were there any other people effected by the snow?

    ...Not many.
It seemed like most people had been somewhere else, or already in the star and moon themed icecream parlor. What should he do? The others weren't exactly aiming at any one person, but the kids and parents all looked a bit like the first two- mindlessly droning towards a goal. There were six kids and three parents that were still loose and out on the snow. Well, a net worked for the ones that attacked Adalinda, maybe it would work for these ones too? With a little focus, a net was made, bundled, then tossed in that direction. Four children and one adult was caught in the net, but now two kids were slowly walking off and two adults were working to try to break the net from outside? Or as much as people acting like brainless zombies infected by magic blue snow can. This is how Haraka ended up trying to make a plant fiber net for another time, bundling it and tossing it. This time he got the remaining stragglers, but he also knew that the only reason the nets worked was that these were not fighters. The net was only a bit stronger than his own clothes because it takes more plant fibers to make nets. "I think that's the rest of the people effected by the snow magic, but I don't know for sure." If only there wasn't so much snow in the way!
