Questions to Members

Hey there, now don't panic I'm not really doing major rules updates, at most I'll be shifting around some range and speed numbers, (mostly in advanced spells) along with maybe their damage numbers, but those are fast fixes, no this is about the layout of the forum.

Some will have noticed a couple board have shifted around, such as jobs/dungeon, and earthland/unknown lands. What I'm here to ask about is, I was going to add in a character approved board for every one of the guilds, so say if you made a fairy tail character you would go in the "approved fairy tail characters" board. Now, would people want other boards like this for magic? What boards do you think we can improve? Should we add a top widget for a new users guide, and side widgets for the approval threads?

Basically right now we want to make the forum easier to navigate and find everything, but I just want to make sure nothing is overdone, so I'm asking the members.

A char board in the guild's area will be really appreciated. Will help a lot with a guild managing who has joined to get them settled into things quicker and easier. I'm liking how everything is being more organized on site too. There isn't much I can think of that needs changing but I have been here for years and gotten used to the different layouts so I tend not to notice anything negative about that but just adapt to it. Thanks for all the work, TAK.

I agree with Cirven but there is one thing I'd love to see is a section in the jobs section where each individual guilds approved jobs would go. It make it easier for people to find them instead of wading through waves of other guilds quests to find your own guilds.

I 100% agree with everything that's been said so far. Sorting the guild-specific jobs is definitely a biggie, because wading through them all looking for ones with your guild tagged in the title can be a big pain. And I definitely think sorting the magics the way the character sheets are now sorted would be very helpful. It would make specific threads a lot easier to find. Personally, I think it would be helpful if all of the approved forums were separated like that. You know, items, pets, etc.

I also think that adding a link to the approval threads on the side would be helpful, but for me that isn't a huge concern. Something that I do think would be very helpful is adding a link to the official questions thread, be it at the top of the page or under the quick links section on the side.

As far as reorganizing the order of the forum boards, I definitely think moving the quests section up was very helpful. If it were up to me, I would personally like to see the guilds forums pushed up to right below where the quests forum is now. I think that would make it a lot easier to get to, rather than having to scroll down past the umpteenth location forums. And because there only six boards in the guild section, you wouldn't have to scroll much farther to get to the location boards, if that makes any sense.

But anyway, that's just my two cents on the matter, so I'm definitely interested to see if I'm the only one who thinks like that...
