The situation was escalating out of control: guns had blazed, magic was heavy in the air, and it seemed as though an even more terrifying brawl was about to break out. The tension between both sides was so incredibly palpable that he could feel the clash of their auras in the air around them. Worst of all, Aven still didn't know where he was.
He calmed down as Haru began to talk, his mind kicking into overdrive. The announcement earlier had specified that there were hostile actions being taken against "the guild", and Lester, the rising star from Crystal Swan, was here. The ship was beautiful, and seemed to fit the rumors correctly about Crystla Swan, so it would be fairly safe to assume this was their base of operations, or at least, one of them. So, they were on Crystal Swan territory, and he'd stumbled into some kind of guild meeting, by the looks of it, since there were two strong Fairy Tail wizards present. Awful timing, Aven... Talks seemed to be breaking down, as the fighting had ensued over the other intrusion besides Aven, what sounded to be a dark wizard. His stomach knotted as the wizard screamed at their collective, berating them. He'd tried to understand them, he really had, but Dark wizards.... Aven's hand clutched his dress shirt, the dozen of brutal scars underneath aching with a dull pain. Aven focused his attention on the Fairy Tail flamer user's words. The Dark wizard was an old friend of his, that complicated things beyond measure. Could that Flame user also be on the darker side of Fairy Tail? He found himself torn, indecisive about who to believe: stand with his guild mates, ignoring their possible dark ties, or stand down, and allow what happens to happen?
Time seemed to freeze, and suddenly, Aven was standing before a wondrous Angel, with six flawlessly white wings, and a vibrant golden aura. It was difficult to look at the figure, for some reason, his face obscured by some unknown force: or perhaps, he was not yet strong enough to observe it. "Are you lost, young one?" Aven was dumbstruck, unable to answer, and the Angel shook his head. "Do not lose the hope in your heart, young one. Despite their faults, all people have good within them, and all people are worth protecting. You are troubled by your past, by the scars inflicted by the darkness of the human condition; but your soul is strong, and deep down, I know you already know what to do."
Aven could swear he saw a smile through the obscurity, before he was back in the midst of the chaos. He may be weak, but the situation did not require power: it required mercy. His eyes flitted around quickly. He was too far away from the action to get there in any small amount of time, not to mention the fact that both his Inertia circle and transformation were inaccessible in the heat of the moment. He could, however, sense another incredible magic presence nearby on the ship, and his eyes tracked it to meet a young woman with a sniper rifle. He could barely hear them, but it sounded like Haru was getting angry, and had started making veiled threats. I need to hurry! He quickly made his way toward the woman with the gun, hoping she would hold off on firing again for him to reach her, his cane tucked lightly under his arm. He waved, calling out as he got to the base of the building she was on. "Please, Miss, wait! May I please talk to you for a moment?"
