Personality:
One could say that Miyamoto Ikana is a girl that thinks of herself to be an aspiring mage. She has a cheerful disposition most of the time but is capable of making jokes or statements that seem a little bit dark. In combat, she is not the kind of person that messes around and prefers to be horribly minimalistic in both movement and attacks in order to end a battle. This does not mean that she ends battles as fast as possible, but she launches the most effective attacks possible to tilt the battle in her favor. She often scopes out the capabilities of an opponent, waiting for them to be too wounded and or incapacitated to end with a decisive strike. On top of this, she thinks like a tactician, thinking of strategies beforehand on the opponents she will be facing and devising countermeasures to defeat them. The girl’s a decent team player and she’s pretty open minded to working with others and working under them as well.

Out of combat, one could normally find this girl studying all she can of magical theory, training, and or spending her time cooking. Occasionally also she goes hunting or on the search for the occasional job offer. She loves jokes, people that make her laugh, and she appreciates it when people try and enjoy her cooking. She typically enjoys living life on whims, though she has few long term goals in her life to guide her on the road to success. One could often see this girl as a selfless/selfish person in some regards. For one, she will never hesitate to feed people food as it’s something magical in its own right. All people should be entitled to something delicious and all people deserve goodness when it’s present. Though she’s selfish in the sense that she has vanities such as desires for loot and items. There’s a value to everything and it’s a sin to her if they don’t put it to good use. Though, her definition of loot isn’t coins and jewels. It’s the treasures and mementos such as that shiny dagger you got off a goblin. Or maybe it’s that pelt from a direwolf you fought the other day? In a sense, she loves adventures for the experience AND the reward equally. That’s what makes the whole world for her magical.

Likes:

• Food: She’s worked as a chef for a good ten years in a little backwater town with little knowledge on magic, so before she practiced magic, cooking for others was the thing she was really into the most. She likes the praise and also enjoying food overall. This by extension also goes to living off the land through hunting, fishing, and foraging. These are also excellent little hobbies of hers.
  
  
• Magic: Coming from a place with little magecraft, when she saw performers enter town with magical knowledge, she was ecstatic every year to watch them perform their tricks for the simple minded populace. It’s something that was a wonder to her for quite some time and it’s something she pursues.
  
  
• Adventures: For the loot, the experience, the people you meet, and the fact you could get a little reputation out of it definitely makes it interesting. It’s something she could definitely get used to and embrace in her life. Besides, life’s too short to ponder and lounge about in a restaurant or house forever.
  
  
• Knowledge: She loves magic and so it makes sense that she’d desire to learn as much about it as possible. Besides, it allows her to gain insight and theorize how to improve her own magecraft beyond just the mediocre/average. It’s something she wants to hone and treasure to become a part of her like an art. It’s a brilliant tool and knowledge of it is the foundation to greatness.
  

Dislikes:

• Idiots: Well...it’s sort of self explanatory. She doesn’t mind idiocy persay if the person’s willing to learn, but ignorance makes her really disappointed. A normal idiot at least you can educate or help them out on. Though, it’s not exactly something that makes one happy to deal with. Still though, she’s patient enough to give it a try, considering she too was that “idiot” way back when.
  
  
• Being Hungry: She’s sort of impulsive when it comes to food and chances are, she’d likely go around and eat whatever she feels like. However, whenever she’s hungry she feels a bit more irritable than others. On top of that...think about treating her food or the ingredients with disrespect and you’ve quickly gotten yourself a pissed Ikana.
  
  
• Being Relied On: Having a person to do things for you is a privilege, not a right. She doesn’t like being relied on all the time because frankly it’s not something that’s her duty unless she’s designated herself to do so otherwise. Being told that she has to do something as if it’s an expectation makes her run up to your table, then demand an explanation on why she has to do so. Though, this isn’t always true.
  

Motivations:

• Magic Knowledge: This is pretty much the main reason for her trip other than adventuring, loot, and some reputation on the sideline. She wants to know how to harness magical power beyond what she already has in order to really get to understand something so mysterious that seems so important in everyday society.
  
  
• Influence: She’d like her name and her presence to actually mean something in the future. Ikana would love it if someday she had a community that really knows and respects her and perhaps for her to be even adored. However, she doesn’t expect that sort of thing right off of the bat. Though she hopes that at some point she can make the world know her name so that she can shine like that freshly caught spring salmon dipped in oil as it fries and sizzles on a pan.
  
  
• Loot: Frankly...she’s really into loot. There’s so many cool items out there to get and she’d frankly like to have a ton of them on her after some investigation. Besides, they have so many cool utilities and such that she’d love to have on her journeys. Who WOULDN’T want something cool on them that is also useful?
  

Fears:

• Monsters: To an extent she fears them as she knows they are unpredictable in nature at times. They can and have killed people in the past for either nature and or more sinister purposes. However, she does have the courage to face them if she’s confident she can actually do something about them. Besides, they’re good for cooking and eating up. It’s a wonderful time to really experience working with fresh ingredients you work with yourself.
  
  
• Having No Talent: That’s one of her worst fears. Discovering that she has no magical talent and that the dream she’s chasing after is just some impossibility and that she’ll be working her job as a restaurant chef forever. She wants to believe that the world is rich and that she herself can have a major part in this magical world other than being on the sideline forever.
  
  
• The Dark: It’s an internal fear that she can’t quite help or explain. She fears darkness and perhaps moreso the things within it. She has a vivid imagination and sometimes she can scare or conjure up evil things. Sometimes she imagines that the things she imagines are not imaginary creatures. Now that’s the scary part.

Appearance:
A somewhat skinny and scrawny looking girl, she’s short. However, she is stronger than she looks overall. She has long white hair of which some lingers in her front in the form of bangs and somewhat freely in the back but yet also has it tied in the majority as a ponytail. She sometimes wears glasses and very commonly wears the simple adventurer sort of garb. She wears a large orange backpack, some nice fur boots, long white cotton socks, a modest skirt, a simple white blouse with fur jacket, the occasional red wool scarf, and on top of her backpack rests a large wok that’s big enough to cover her back entirely exposing only portion of her neck like a turtle shell. She has no flaw in complexion and looks a bit more babyfaced than her actual age. Still though, she’s quite the pretty girl and she’s definitely the more “book worm” type.
