Akily looked at the note she had just received that day to see that the writing was frantic, almost like she wrote this as quick as possible. The note made her seem like she was paranoid about something. She seemed to want Akily there as soon as possible. Although Akily didn't want to talk to an adult, she thought it was probably be best since this lady was a person who dealt with nature and such. Akily guessed that this lady was an okay adult, and plus she was probably one of the few ways to make sure this corruption doesn't spread to unwanted places. As she looked back towards the letter, she read the address and began to prepare to actually go to it instead of just let it be like last time. She began to walk towards the door as she shoved it open and went to the train that she went to last time.
It only took her a few hours to get to the train stop. So, she stepped off and began walking into the forest that the herbalist was holed up in for most of her years. Every time Akily would step, she would hear a crackle behind her as though someone was following her. She tried looking back to see who they were, but she couldn't see them anywhere. She was wondering if she was just imagining things, but she truly felt some sort of unknown presence near her that gave her the chills. Most of the time Akily wasn't wrong but maybe she was right now. As she neared the house, she looked back one more time to see if there really was someone following her. Since no one was there, she entered the building to see the herbalist observing the sample. She seemed to have a serious look on her face that made Akily wonder what was going on. What she explained was, that the plant grows it's roots through literally anything, breaking down the physical material in order to spread. Once it has spread a good deal, it's roots sprout to the surface and begin to form into a new plant. Akily nodded at the info, as though she perfectly understood what it meant. As she questioned its corrupting abilities, the herbalist almost said something but then noticed as a man was on the other side of her window.
With a scream, the herbalist falls back onto her couch as the man begins to run. Akily summoned to her hand her card of surprise as she turned invisible. As she dashed towards the man, he seemed to realize where she was, so he pulled out a black rapier that seemed extremely deadly. Sadly though, Akily was more deadly. Which meant, that she clenched the handle of her card dagger as she appeared right behind the stalker. With one strike, she stabbed him in the back of the neck as he fell to the ground with a pool of blood coming from it. As Akily got back, she said to the herbalist, "I apprehended the stalker, so we should be fine now." As the herbalist got on her knees, she began crying and thanking Akily. Akily rolled her eyes and just took the bag of jewels on the desk of the herbalist as she walked out of the room while the girl was still in obvious shock. With that, she just walked home and went on her way back to the guild.
