Name: M1 Garand
Rank: Weak
Type: Weapon, Gun-Type
Description:
Strengths: The semi-automatic operation and reduced recoil allowed soldiers to fire 8 rounds as quickly as they could pull the trigger, without having to move their hands on the rifle and therefore disrupt their firing position and point of aim. The M1 rifle is fed by an "en bloc" clip which allows for ease of reload as it ejects the existing clip and leaves the slot open for a new clip to be inserted. The M1 Garand uses stainless steel for its gas tube, which prevents corrosion.
Weaknesses: As the stainless metal can not be parkerized, the gas tubes is given a stove-blackening that frequently wore off in use. Unless the gas tube could be quickly repainted, the resultant gleaming muzzle could make the M1 Garand and its user more visible to the enemy in combat. The "en bloc" clip also only held eight rounds, and frequently had to be reloaded between firing sessions.
Abilities: It has no abilities, because its just a standard firearm. Nothing special.
