Normally she didn't stray very far from her guild for long right now, especially not without one of her guildmates, but she had lux with her and this was important. Today, Nyx was heading out into the Lycan Woods in order to solve a problem she suspected originated there. Of course, she had not formally taken it on as a job considering her status as both dark mage and ghost, but the attack that had taken place had been serious enough to reach her ears. The other villages putting up those jobs for someone to come take care of the werewolves, it was rather pointless in the end, because she would be taking care of this herself.

"Lux, light the path, we have to find them before the next full moon." something was causing a particular group of wolves that would normally stay within these woods or at least not stray far, to go out and attack villages at full force. While she accepted that she may have to kill a good deal of creatures to get to the bottom of this? She would rather look and fix the problem then simply stop the werewolves that had attacked otherwise whatever made them lash out was just going to affect another group making a repeat tragic story. "If we don't figure out what's causing their behavior, then another village of innocents is going to get cowardly ambushed." and that went against everything not only within herself but also within her religion, such weakness to attack another group without giving them any chance to even know it was coming. Pruning the weak in honorable combat was one thing, but this was just shameful.

A whole village ravaged by a pack of werewolves? It was more than necessary for him to deal with, because the issue with monsters in Fiore hadn’t exactly gotten better since the random magic circles and the far lands where he had been. Therefore, when his eyes laid upon the job paper, he didn’t just accept it; he took it to himself and his very soul to stop these assaults. As far as his knowledge reached, werewolves were often influenced by the full moon which changed their brains’ functional system and made them do the unpredictable. “I… I don’t think that I’ve faced werewolves before,” he mumbled to the two ghost balls beside his head. Kyuken and Zirconis threw a glance at each other for a second by the comment.

“Are werewolves new to you, Zirconis?”
“Not exactly. They never posed too big of a threat back in the era…”
“Huuuuh… sounds like a fascinating being. A werewolf… let’s hurry up, so I can see one!”

And as per his wish, they found themselves in the location mentioned on the job paper. It was a large forest that simply smelled dog. Looking around, Mura began to think if he had a chance to see who were unfortunate enough to be bound under the blood of a wolf like this. It sounded like the same case with vampires… and he did have experience with those bloodsuckers, but this might turn up differently.

This was supposed to be another simple 'job' where she just investigated and solved the problem. Nyx had done this dozens of times before, though sometimes her solution was to simply murder everything in the name of her god, one way or another, things got resolved. On average the only thing she ever had to deal with outside her goal was the occasional nosey mage that she had to keep under control until the job was done, easy enough. Of course, today had something else entirely in store for the ghost and she could now feel that creeping up her spine slowly in spite of wishing everything would just go normally. At this point, she was beginning to wonder why she felt so sick to her stomach going towards this mission, it was incredibly unusual and a feeling she had not experienced for some time.

During the time she spent wandering through the wooded area with her living lantern, the guild master found the response to her question of why she felt so doomed walking into this land. Nyx felt her breath catch deep in her throat and even though she had no 'blood' now she could feel it run cold in the sudden emotional change within her. No, was the only thing going through the head of the brunette soul as her muddy colored eyes gazed straight ahead. In front of her, was someone she had not seen for some time now, since the day she died and it was one of the last faces she recalled seeing at her first death. Nyx could have lived her whole unlife without encountering her old 'friends' and she would have been perfectly happy! However, she now was staring directly at Mura wondering what she was supposed to do about this if she could get away before he noticed her.

Cowardly running was not the way she was supposed to live her existence now and she grimaced at her own religious ideals as she realized that she couldn't just leave. "I wouldn't be too eager to see the wolves if I were you, there's something wrong with the packs in this forest." her voice spoke up entirely unchanged by time considering the fact she was dead and had been for some time now, her ghostly form lit by the pale blue light ebbing from the floating lantern beside her. "Take it that you are also here to deal with them before the next full moon can enable them to take out another village?" he was here to kill them no doubt, all their old group ever did was kill everything without ever thinking first! Nyx was fairly sure that she was on their hit list as well. "If that's your goal than just leave Mura, I am not going to let you blindly kill them like all of us used to do, killing them won't solve the problem only subject another pack of wolves to whatever made this one go nuts." what else was she supposed to think? She had lost her own life because they blindly attacked someone that she now came to find was not all that bad, realized the error of their old group and even her own former hatred of the supernatural.

This day could turn out in such unpredictable ways. It was always like that - there wasn’t a single day without something ala a revelation or a huge mystery. However, for a wizard who had adapted that kind of life, you would think that surprises were mundane by now. Far from. Mura had to give himself a few seconds to understand that the person, the lady who spoke to him just now, was no stranger at all. How many tears he had cried back when she left him… she… she talked to him. After all this time, despite being in such a form that Mura was more than used to, they finally met again.

“N-Nyx..?” he asked in recognition. She appeared much calmer about the situation than him, though, as if she was but a familiar acquaintance. However, her next words removed the last drops of doubt that was hanging on Mura’s heart; the phrase ‘like all of us used to do’ rung the bell clear enough. She still remembered the group of Onmyōjis that she and Mura had met each other in. Did that mean that she also knew of Mura’s doings now? Perhaps he should take the situation more professionally in order to find out.

“Y-Yeah… I’ve been asked to stop the ambushes,” he replied as Nyx showed awareness of the job that he had accepted. She had changed drastically since he last saw her, both physically and spiritually. Her aura, too… it leaked a familiar energy. A small one, but an energy not exactly belonging to her. She also held a grudge against killing, a thing that Mura didn’t feel associated with given his magic. She showed the same compassion back when she was alive. “I’ll stay and make them stop otherwise…” he responded softly, “Besides, time has passed… we’re not like we used to be, Nyx. Or rather, the two of us, that is...”

Most people tended to think that every single day was a revelation, that everything was some great mystery to be solved. However, the world was not quite like that. In the eyes of Nyx, every answer someone could ever need was already in plain sight, everyone in the world was just too blind to read out those responses from the world around them. Even a feral dog issued the challenge briefly before it attacked. Sometimes she really regretted the times when she as well was far too blind to seek simple answers sitting right in front of her. How many lives could she have saved to foster more bloodshed later on if she had just known the nature of the beasts their group had been going after. Of course, she needed to go through that so she could find herself and find her god.

"Took you long enough to remember who I am." she sighed it out with a slight smile that faded quickly with her comment, wishing she could conjure her flames to play with, but her strength wasn't enough anymore. "I don't go by Nyx anymore though, Minx most times." she wasn't going to tell him about being called 'Fluffy' as well, he didn't need to know that had been her, that all that hate could be contained in someone he once called a friend. Even if she held no fondness for their old group? Mura had always been like her, he had been different from them, always seemed a bit out of place more then even she had.

He was not going to leave and the ghost didn't know exactly what to feel about that, honestly, she wanted to get rid of her mortal emotions. "If I can't make you leave, then you should meet Lux." after she spoke the latern she had set on the ground shortly before levitated and unraveled its handle to reveal it was a 'living' thing. "This is Lux, he isn't alive in the typical sense but he is a sentient representation of my power and remaining lifeforce. So if we have to fight stay out of our way, he will be the one using my strength." she didn't want to rip something open in front of Mura if she could avoid it, so she would let lux do her fighting this time. "Now let's go, we have to find the den so we can see if it's anything in there causing them to go insane." she turned around with that comment, secretly glancing back once.
