Just Like The Story (Guild Intro) [Open]

Vhesira adjusted the bag hanging over her shoulder absentmindedly, glancing around as she slowly put one foot in front of the other. She could swear she'd been walking more and more slowly the closer she got to her destination. This was a bad idea, wasn't it? She shouldn't be doing this. There was no way she was going to be accepted! Her pace faltered, before she forced herself to continue forward. No... she couldn't think like that... she had to push on, and stop putting herself down like this. She took a deep breath, and picked up her pace.

If she kept shrinking away from taking chances like this with people, she'd never get anywhere! No, she could do this! To do what she wanted to do in life, she had to join a guild. And of all the guilds she knew of, Crystal Swan seemed to be the one that suited her best. Her nerves started to creep up again, her grip on her bag tightening. "Geeze, girl, pull yourself together..." She shook her head in annoyance. Why did she have to have these second thoughts and doubts? Why did she always have to assume people would reject her outright?

As she rounded a corner, her destination finally came into view. The Crystal Swan Guild Hall. One foot in front of the other.... just a bit further. "It'll be just like the story... the ugly duckling grows up to be a beautiful swan, right?" Vhesira took another deep, shaky breath... and... froze. She was a good 100 feet from the front door, her heart hammering in her chest. She was usually more confident than this, but when it came to putting herself out there and asking people to accept her... it was out of her element.

"Come on.... come on, Vhesira... dammit, you can't come all this way just to chicken out now...." She grit her teeth, squeezing her eyes shut as she willed her body to take one more step forward... except it didn't come. She was effectively paralyzed, trapped in an endless loop of self-encouragement and self-deprecation, with nothing to break the stalemate. Vhesira's eyes began to water, but the tears didn't fall yet, even as she bit her lip. "Dammit... dammit..."

They had landed in the city, not particularly beautiful in his eyes as the idea of architectural beauty had diminished in his eyes after being to so many places. He sat on a small stool, wood worn with chips and deep scratched occasionally his hand would move to trace the line on it, feeling each deep notch taken out of it. The wind dragged slightly at his back, making the loose shirt he wore slightly flap as he peered closer. There spanned a great many plants on the exterior of the Guild Hall, as it was an area accessible to the public he preferred to keep them all healthy. Almost official, although unofficial the youth had fully embraced his niche amongst the guild, tending to a few of the gardens and plants around the area when he had time spare from his own greenhouses. Half rolled up the sleeve slid down his forearms before being shoved back up, the material of a deep green hue continuing to stay above the crook of his elbow this time. Small and sleek the pair of scissors he had held to clip away the aged leaves were placed back into the bag at his feet.

Perhaps it was time for a break? He hardly knew the time yet a feeling deep within indicated that it was time to refill his stomach. Arms above his head a stretch racked his back, the scarf around his waist the soft green a nice break from the darker shades that clad his body. Scraps of mud and plant debris fluttered to the ground. It seemed to be a rather normal day, people entering and leaving, yet there was one who appeared, well rather stationary. As if the world flowed differently and she had little clue of the vibrancy which it held.

Her dark skin was an odd change for sure, whilst he had seen visitors and other nationalities such as Yuiisai and that Darius lad had been she still appeared slightly different from them. Her expressions was painted with anxiousness, tucking his gardening gloves in his pocket Lester carefully made his way over, he managed to pick up a few words of what she was speaking, anger at herself almost. "Excuse me miss, is there anything I can help you with? You appear to be a little- not okay." Watermelon eyes filled with what he hoped was a calming warmth, emotional people were not exactly who he was best at dealing with yet, and gods would she even want to talk to someone who looked like a tramp or a gardener? "I'm Lester Drynedi by the way! I'll be able to help you with anything, is there something I can help you with? would you like a flower?" Perhaps he had been working a little too close to the flowers and their spores, he spoke a little too much for his own liking. Yet with the ship docked on land it was common to have the public explore the area, and often get lost or separated.

While Grubnard and Nyx were shopping for no clothing Snowy had on a adorable dress on that one of their guild mates made for her, she then spots Lester a Ace of the guild. Snowy had followed him to a area she has not been to yet, she stopped and hid for a bit then charged at Lester at full force and slamming into him,"Hey mister Snowman how are you today." She was smiling like she normally do which made her look more adorable with the dress on, Snowy then saw a woman with dark brown skin. She has yet to see someone like her and this made her excited, she jolts to the front of the woman and with starry eyes said,"WOW, you're so pretty miss, can we be friends." Meanwhile Grubnard and Nyx are both freaking out that they can find Snowy anywhere.

Vhesira was startled from her mental war with herself by the sudden appearance of a man that was seemingly her opposite. Nearly a foot taller than her, with soft white hair and pale skin, the man was definitely a surprise. She shifted a bit as he spoke to her, blinking slowly when he randomly offered her a flower, while her eyes darted downward. There seemed to be small traces of dirt on his hands and clothes. Considering all the plant life around the guild hall, perhaps he'd been tending to them? Before she could properly respond to the newly introduced Lester, however, more people showed up.

A man about as tall as Lester was suddenly clinging to him, urging her to take Lester's advice and flower. For a brief moment, she was starting to wonder if 'take his flower' was a euphemism, when her train of thought was completely derailed by the second man saying they would 'adopt' her. Her eyes widened.... and now there was a little girl with what looked like cat ears and a tail clinging to Lester and hugging him tightly. Did these people have some sort of radar that told them when people approached the guild so they all started swarming?

And now, the little girl was in front of her, calling her pretty, and excitedly asking to be friends... and then the second man lost his balance and fell, dragging Lester along with him. This series of rapid, somewhat ridiculous events was too much to bear, and she burst into laughter, unable to help herself. She covered her mouth to stifle her laughter, trying to calm herself down. Once she had finally gotten herself under control, she reached up to brush her hair from her face, and carefully adjusting her glasses as she took a deep, calming breath. She'd answer them all together.

"Well... I'm Vhesira Lithvir. It's nice to meet you all and, uh.. well, I came here..." She took another deep breath. "I came here to join Crystal Swan... if... if they'll have me... and having friends would be nice..."

Snowy's eyes brighten when she saw yet another pretty lady but this one had pink hair, she then ran up to her and the lady asked what her name was while petting Snowy. Snowy made purring noises when she was petted then she said,"My name is Snowy, may i call you Peachy miss?" She then did the cute kitten eyes at her but then she saw Elvira slamming her head into Lester and was somewhat drunk. Snowy then walked up to her and place one of her Icy heal snowflakes on her,"Are you okay Vivi?" Then rubbed her head once on Elvira and walked back to the pink haired girl and did the cute kitten eyes again. She then asked,"Peachy can we be friends."

More people were showing up, and Vhesira was quite glad that she wasn't actually a very shy person, or averse to crowds. Her nerves were purely due to fear of not being accepted, but these people... seemed pretty friendly. She could only watch as a woman about an inch shorter than her flopped down on top of Lester and... the other man, cuddling up to them. And out of the corner of her eye she saw another woman, rather busty by the look of it, skirting around them before tripping and falling into a flower bed.

At this moment, Vhesira's mouth started to twitch into a small smile. This place... if these were the people she would be seeing around at this guild... she really hoped they would let her join. At Rin's question, she nodded a bit. "Uh... yeah. I'm hoping to join Crystal Swan..." Then the newly dubbed 'Snowy' started giving people nicknames, and she was wondering if this was just what she did... she was adorable though.

Theo swung an arm around him, well, he had forgotten his teammate a little, in the deep rooted pain that had started setting into his stomach. It was nice to have the comforting embrace of the other, even if it was just for a few moments before an unfamiliar force bowled into the duo. Causing them both to collapse on the ground. He crumpled ontop of theo. His breath had been slightly blown out of him, and for some reason Theo's shirt had gone over his head so lacing sight and nose full of his favourite scent. Although he could still hear the words, Ms. Vhesira Lithvir wishing to join the Guild. Well it was fairly common for the public to approach the guildhall with hopes of joining, still there was a vague excitement that came with a new face and brain to get to know.

His brain was a little busy, with thoughts of Theo flooding his mind Lester carefully rolled to the side, with Rin ontop of him, and his own body weight as well Theo would be rather squished. Scooching slightly until his buttocks rested upon teh ground Les gave Rin a small poke. As his slight smile flashed towards Rin then Elvira whom he had briefly met eariler when she had joined the male motioned at his peach hair squadmate. "You okay there rin?" The small snow leopard child, there were quite a few names to remember indeed. "Right, well. Excuse us but the floor is rather comfy, elveria, the woman in my Flower bed will be okay. I'm Lester, this is Theo and Rin. Um, well welcome to teh guild." his hair had slid across his face again as he brushed it away "Before we get you officially in could you help Rin up? I'll get Theo up and hopefully Elvira will um, she'll be fine."

Theo didn't really want to get out of the pile. Lester's garden scent was earthy and wild, just like the plantlife he'd climbed out of just moments ago. As Rin joined, he pulled her close and still kept contact with her even as Lester shifted to try and make sure Theo's lungs could fully inflate. It was warm and he was sluggish and feeling super snuggly, but it was probably pretty weird for a newbie to see. His two favorite people were right there with him, though, so he was starting not to care about how weird it was at all until Lester started the process of untangling them, getting to his feet and turning to retrieve Theo.

Fine.. Theo grumbled in his head as the white-haired male's hands gasped his own. With some effort between the two of them, the ebony haired mage made it back to his feet, though it was clear he'd rather still be on the ground, cocooned in the warmth of his team mates. Attempting to stretch the laziness out of his bones, he grinned at the new recruit. "Yeah, welcome! You're lucky, because Lester's actually just the person you need to see to go through the process of joining. You get a cool mark and a cool room and...it's so cool when we're flying up high in the sky..." Theo trailed off into a daydream. His brain really was very foggy right now.

The little bobbing head of the furry child startled him out of his mental trip. Was that the kid he'd heard earlier? The one that presumably knocked him and Lester over to begin with? What was a Snowy and a Peachy? Where did she even come from? He quirked a brow, glacier eyes following her, though he made no move to address her.
