The ship containing Crystalli landed in a nearby town, and usually when this happened, there was a bunch of requests from the villagers mainly because there was no other guilds nearby. So most of the Crystal Swan mages have been out on missions and as a result of this, the guild hall was mostly empty most of the time. This was actually the first time Evan has seen the guild hall and he was making sure that he was able to identify it as well as he possibly could before he formally met his guild members here. Since no one was here, he was free to roam around the guild without fear that he would run into anyone that he knew. Smiling, the young mage would summon a screen as he typed up what each room was as he recorded a layout of the guild hall on a blueprint. This way, he knew where he was going and what he was coming from. While sitting at the bench in the hall way, Evan would raise his eyebrow as he looked at the approaching figure. The figure seemed to frantically search the hallways until they locked eyes with the young imagination mage. Chuckling as he awkwardly waved, the young man was somewhat caught off guard when the small family of three ran over to him. Tears decorating their eyes, Evan was leaning into the wall as they each spoke a mile a minute. Evan's mind was extremely hazy but his mind caught onto a couple of key phrases being: lost puppy, deadly forest, nearby town. Evan smiled his brightest smile, one that was usually saved for when interacting with the Magic Council as he said, "Ah! Okay! I'll bring your puppy back. Just wait here!" Evan would disappear in a flash of red as his body became a hologram.

Flying out of the ship, similar to a ghost, the imagination mage would rematerialize and begin to fall into the forest that was below them. Ah, that was rather convenient. Opening his palm above him, a holographic screen would be summoned as his palm stuck to it, allowing it to act as a glider. Smiling as he flew down to the ground, Evan would summon more screens around him as they filled him in the information that he was informed with. Ah, okay so they had filled in a formal request. Tapping the confirm prompt on the screen would alert the guild that he was taking on this job request personally. Summoning a bunch of screens in the pattern of stairs underneath him, Evan would walk down the staircase as he descended down into the aptly named Spooky Forest. Jeez, if they were this straight up with the names, it's a miracle the guilds were named something a little more interesting compared to what the landscapers of the past must have named things. Either way, it was fine. Upon reaching the last step, Evan would disperse the makeshift staircase that he made of the screens as another one hovered in front of the young man's face. It was a picture of the puppy that the family provided. Aw, it was really cute. Pomeranian was the breed and even had a small pink bow to indicated that it was their's. With how precious the creature was, Evan wasn't quite sure if he even wanted to give it back if he found it. Smiling as he moved the screen away from his face, another one would pop up. Groaning as the screens continually interrupted his line of sight, he'd glaze over the message that was written out.

It was a vulcan warning for the Spooky Forest. Feeling himself tense for a moment, he let out a small breath as he surveyed the area. There was nothing really close to him at this moment in time, but a little ways away, his tech picked up a life signal from something nearby. Snapping, the coordinates of the life signal were given as the screens were moved in front of Evan's eyes. Growing tired of the pop ups, he'd pinch the screen with his fingers to make it decrease it's size and move them to his peripherals as he looked in the direction of the life signal. At this very moment, the antisocial man was really praying that it wasn't another person because he didn't really want to meet anyone yet because of how horrible he was with talking to people. Letting out a sigh, the young man would adjust his glasses as he headed in the direction of the life form, hoping it was just the puppy that was just on the outskirts of town.

Very rare it was that his freedom stretched as far as to travel past the merciless torrent of Hakobe, the everlasting gloom gradually taking its effect on his form. Just barely had he managed, yet as the daylight peered through the breakage of the eerie canopy, his slumber on the earth gathered all that was necessary. The lashes fluttered, hazy for just a moment in the awakening as his thoughts quickly reminded him that despite the close proximity, this was the last place he'd been before ❝they ❞ had discovered his location. The place where his friend was traced by the presence of a fiery death and the greenery was tainted by the vile intent. He imagined in the fresh sprouts and singing of distant birds that it could have all been a dream. Suddenly however, there was a gentle whimper to the left, urging the once relaxed frame into a seated position as the gold noticed a well-rounded piece of fluff.

"How did you manage to get yourself all the way out here?" Theo questioned as if the jittery dog would muster up a reply, instead it decided to inch just a bit closer. Undeniably the meager company was adorable, and it seemed nearly impossible to disregard how vulnerable it was in this forest. "Come on then, I'll help you get home." assembling a quick response, he'd stand up with a heavy sigh parting from his lips. Thankfully it was still well within the afternoon, the skies were clear and the woods were no longer as silent as they'd been before. It was well presumed that there would be no travelers, as much as the eerie outlook seemed corrupt by ghostly beings, the cover was home to many. Just as it had been to him, there was a certain distaste for those that were nosy enough to come searching for myths or legends. The last time hunters discovered the feathery shadow, a spear had been lodged into his back. Perhaps without such a harsh encounter, he would not have been placed in such immoral group, yet darkness or sinister acts were the least of his worries.

As long as he could protect his friend— nothing else mattered.

Gathering the dog into his arms, a momentary stroke was motioned, finding the softness of its fur to be nearly addictive as it was to pet a certain feline friend. There was no path, only bramble and the never ending crowd of the trees, big and small. Beneath him the earth wavered, taking on straining slopes and jagged edges to the point balance had nearly been lost. Stillness was overlapping the relief of the birds from above, blocking out the light as the depth of the ❝spooky ❞ forest allow him to feel discomfort. The same feeling he'd gotten the last time the shadows had been watching, pursuing and stalking as though he were prey. Hardly allowing the weakening notion to take hold, it was all straightforward paranoia that settled at the back of his mind.

A wild animal was inferred in the current location, taken by surprise when he remarked the figure of another. There was relief, then came displeasure. He was looking for something, obviously— hopefully it was what was in his arms. "Are you lost?" Theo started with the mundane hostility in his tone and the furrow in his brows, few steps taken towards the stranger might have seemed intimidating. Though not with the intent of doing so. "Does nobody realize how dangerous this place is?" muttering in annoyance, fingers traced the back of the crown, ruffling few strands as the crimson was apparent just on the end. "Either you're an idiot for coming here or— you're looking for this?" referring to the little dog that was still tucked just within his arm, its little eyes twinkled as if curious by the presence of the newcomer. Oddly there still seemed to be something off despite the youth to his front. Surely he wasn't just overthinking what was and was not hidden behind the shrouds of green. There was always reason to be cautious within the forest.

Evan let out a breath he didn't know he was holding when he heard a bark. Oh, thank goodness. He didn't need to travel deep into the forest to find the dog. It simply wandered just into the forest and stayed near the edges of the forest. Summoning a screen to analyze how far the sound had traveled, a thought crossed the young mage's mind. If it was barking, it could have potentially gotten attacked by something. It was a little too quiet to be comfortable now. Evan looked around at the trees. If he could get a higher vantage point, he could potentially look, but then again, it wasn't a dog. It was still a young puppy, meaning it would be small and rather hard to see. Evan sighs loudly as he looks around as he hears the sound of a branch break. Evan felt himself feel on edge, as his hand filled with a dull rainbow light. He was ready to grapple out of there if need be but he needed to make sure the puppy wasn't harmed. Letting out a sigh, the imagination mage would look around and let out a relieved noise as he realized that there was nothing in direct vision of him. Thank goodness. The puppy was near which meant there was a very small chance that he'd end up having to talk to people. Summoning a screen and beginning to type up a report as to what happened today to the Magic Council, the young man would let out a somewhat undignified sound of being scared when he heard an unfamiliar voice speak out to him.

Evan quickly turned to the source of the voice, where his eyes met someone who had the nicest golden eyes. Evan caught himself staring a little bit before he heard the man mutter something underneath his breath. He couldn't really make it out but the annoyed expression and scowl on his face made Evan feel on edge. He unconsciously made a tether with his hands and flicked his wrist back in order to attach to a tree. If the man had gotten any closer, Evan probably would have propelled himself in the opposite direction to gain some distance. The young imagination mage was going to voice his thoughts, but nothing came out of his voice as he tried to speak. He felt his face heat up a bit. The combined threat he was feeling from the man and the situation of having to speak someone who clearly doesn't seem interested in talking had gotten rid of his ability to speak. "I..." Barely above a whisper, the Crystal Swan mage let out a sigh as he rubbed his hair. Tucking away as much as he could behind his glasses, Evan would summon a screen and type a message out. He typed extremely quickly and within moments, he flicked the screen over in front of the unnamed man.

Hey. You were right because I am an idiot but I'm actually looking for the dog. Sorry to disturb you.

Evan fiddled with his hands as he walked over awkwardly to retrieve the dog before a warning popped up in his peripheral that gave note that a Vulcan was on the way. Evan's breath stopped as he stopped walking over altogether. Flicking his wrist would cause him to launch to the tree as he felt a burst of rainbow magic within his right hand as his Sandhawk was summoned. Looking around, the notification would tell him approximately which direction the vulcan would be coming in, Evan would place two glowing blue fingers on his temple as another notification showed up on the screen in front of the tanned man.

I'm going to have to ask that you take care of the puppy for a second. There's a Vulcan that caught onto his scent. I'll take care of it.

He wasn't that confident in his shooting skills but it was better that he took care of this over the other person because he didn't know what could potentially happen if he had the puppy on him. Also, he didn't know if the man was a mage or not. Summoning another tether, Evan would beginning swinging in the direction that the notification told him to.

From the few seconds that relinquished within the silence, what stranger that stood before him had appeared as though a deer was enraptured by the light. Suspended by fear, unable to speak or move, there came the eventual noise that was almost overlapped by the quiet breath. Even then, in the fluster of the other, it still seemed hopeless for him to muster a word as Theo watched on with the furrow lessening in his features. The glare in glasses made it difficult to discern exactly what the issue was, yet by the notion of hands and the unattainable display of simply mustering up a response, it was quite easy to presume that the other had been nervous. Or something close to the matter— another sigh retreated. Perceiving such emotions were of simplicity to him, on the other hand he wasn't entirely adept with expressing himself in a manner that would not set those into the offense. Better suited for the stranger, retreat seemed most probable.

"What is it then?" pressing for an answer, the abrupt shade of a screen was brought to his gaze, "Huh?" more-so startled by the odd utility for speaking, there was the fact he'd recognized the insult to be true. Not that it should have been acknowledged at all, for Theo it was all harmless in the frequency of how often he'd use it. Then again it could've been the opposite for others. "No... you're fine," he said, speaking with a bit of hesitation, "Just get out of here before you get yourself hurt." readjusting the fluff so that the other may retrieve what he had been searching for was swiftly rebounded elsewhere— quite literally. Once upward at a reasonably high point, bewilderment fused with the returning depth of his frown. "Hey!" Theo shouted out, just so the voice was heard yet regarded of irritation, "I don't have time for games—" another flare of light appeared, the words which voiced what could not be spoken hovering in the air. At the mention of the beast, it had now made value of his previous feeling just moments before. Troubled and not entirely certain of how capable the other was, the sound of branches splitting against the weight, the stir of the fallen leaves and bramble signified that something had indeed been approaching.

From the opening the tall and impending size of a vulcan stepped through the green, another and another following behind in action. Theo could feel the small dog squirm in his arms, regarding how terrified it was of the animals that were now looking towards them. "You think you can handle them all on your own?" questioning the one that stood above, golden narrowed against the shade, hardly finding what current threat to be appalling as it was for what cowered in his hold. Three was threatening enough for one that could not defend, for one that held capability in the essence, more than three could've been an issue. After all, it was doubtful to presume that there were ❝only ❞ a trio. Vulcans traveled together just as the shadow of the wolves had done since the beginning of their creation. An animal he found to be much more terrifying than what was realistically more of a hazard.

Allowing the dog to be placed on the ground, as much as it desperately tried to cling on, it had nothing but the base of the tree to tuck itself against. The vulcan to the front of the other two let out a low rumble, through its massive fangs it seemed to be letting a cheery smile curl against its features. "Can't believe I had to wake up to this..." with a sputter of bitterness, the marking started to glow, little by little it crept from the top of his shoulder to the inside of his wrist. Flesh parted within the palm, giving show to the inside that was nothing but the void of light itself, spewing outward in slight drops that could've been considered blood. The opposing hand took hold of what had crept from the pocket, abruptly tearing out the blade as it gradually took shape. Power shuddered into the area, tickling his nerves and allowing the amber glare to shine more brilliantly then it had before.

What monkey that had been beaming in delight did not take the shimmer of the sword lightly. Rather than deeming it a threat, it had seemed more restless at the sight, banging the massive hands against its broad chest and whooping. A booming noise which echoed throughout the forest, urging birds and other animals into the other direction. Without warning, a boulder was gathered forth with ease, tossing it in their direction as if a game of catch. Instead what path had been presumed as his own was in-fact soaring towards the one in the tree. Alarmed, feet launched from the mossy floors, the blade tearing against the softness as eventually swung itself upward. Dirt and twigs scattered out as the weapon greeted stone with a forceful burst of light, causing what could have been considered solid to be separated now in half. The flare continued despite its intent, blinding the massive animals if only for a few seconds. "Pay attention!" Theo clamored, focusing what discontent he had for this situation on the apes that were making a racket.

The imagination mage wasn't that confident in his abilities to fight but he didn't really want to burden the person that he disturbed anymore. In addition to that, he had a feeling that he could handle a Vulcan. However, that confidence was pretty low to begin with. Sighing, the young magus would hold his Sandhawk in his hands. His hands were somewhat shaky so the gun was rattling somewhat. Taking a deep breath, the magus would swing from tree to tree using his rainbow tethers to gain some leverage.

The white haired male would hear a doubting tone emerging from the male from earlier. Of course he didn't think he could but he didn't want to inconvenience this man any more than he already has. Sighing, Evan would place his hand on his temple once again as his fingers glowed a gentle blue light.

As you can probably tell, I don't have the most confidence but I don't want to make you do any work you don't have to. I've asked enough of you. Let me handle it.

The young mage let out a sigh of irritation as he felt a small pain in his head. Lately, whenever he used his Cybernetics a lot, he tended to get an irritation within his head. He should probably go get that checked out the next time he went to the Magic Council. They really had a habit of making his life a lot harder than it needed to be. To be completely honest, he was sick of helping the Magic Council but at this point, he didn't have a choice.

Evan felt himself scowl when he realized the person who was holding the puppy was no longer where he left him. Sighing, Evan would look at the spot again and see a gentle light, growing into a soft amber light going to a strong one. Covering his eyes, Evan would look at the spot through his hands. The imagination mage would eye the Vulcans with his scanner as they glared at the dark haired man.

Twisting the grip of his SMG, the imagination mage would wrap a tether around his wrist as he swung above the Vulcan's shooting a flurry of explosive bullets. The weapon made quick work of the beasts, not even leaving. Evan sighed in relief as he shakily landed on a tree branch that was pretty close by the recently awoken sword wielder. His sword capabilities were quite interesting. Evan has never actually seen someone wield a sword in that way to be completely honest. Placing his two fingers to his temple, they would glow a familiar gentle blue summoning another screen in front of the man.

Okay, that takes care of that. Now, can you actually come over to here? I think from this angle I can get back to where I need to go.

Smiling, Evan would let out a sigh of relief as he released the tether and gently stood on the branch. The imagination mage would awkwardly wave towards the dark haired man to get his attention however, he was late in realizing the branch giving way. The branch would crack as it fell to the earth. About to summon a tether, the young male was unable to as he hit another branch on his way down, winding him and causing him to drift in a semi knocked out state as he fell to the earth. Guess taking the dog to Crystal Swan would have to take a little longer than expected.
