Maximillian Jerzanixon
Gender: Male
Age: 63
Birthday: 30th March
Sexuality: Straight, but he is actually uninterested.
Special Characteristics:
-Max has eight small scars that are over his eyes, a result of an incident in the past where he had been filled with anguish and confusion and in turn scratched those scars over his face with his own fingers.
-His extremely old age comes with the expected experience and knowledge, as well as the reputation and foundation it has set for his return from retirement. Though his power has mellowed due to a long period of retirement without any proper maintenance of his magical skills(the reason why he is back to D rank), Max is still very knowledgeable of the many higher-ups in both dark and legal guilds, to the extent he can also identify any guild-master, Council Member and Wizard Saints by sight. If there were any changes, Max also has a very long and deep network of connections and informants that he had established in his past life, hence keeping him up to date on power struggles and changes in leadership and positions. Secret schemes and plans, however, will still be unknown to him.
-An Old Man's Curse. Will be elaborated on in the magic application.
Personality:
Transmission begin.
"Oh, you mean Max? Aye, he's changed, and by a great deal. Used to be an avid supporter of the legal guilds ever since he was 13, when he begun his first job as a Fairy Tail mage. He was of many roles; so many professions. Guardian, escort, negotiator, dueler and some people even said he was an assasin sometimes. However, probably what he was most famous for was him as a war-fighter, back when the days were tough and conflicts was like a fashion trend gone viral. Many wars he had participated in, a lot of people he has killed to ensure the 'peace and harmony' etc all that propaganda that the Magic Council would feed you. Then he retired; after being a mage for 45 years, he suddenly just got up and left. I remember that day. Bad day. His eyes, when he stared into mine just before his retirement, were like those of a someone teetering on a damn fine and shaky line, where a mere breath of a breeze would send you plummeting off the edge. And I think Max had bumped into that breeze. Before he was not the most talkative person, but he was a jovial, gentle man, never uptight with formalities; The best type of guy for your boss, as he was mine. But that day, the air around him just seemed to chill. And when he gave his retirement letter to the master, the expression on his face was not one of sadness or lament. No, it was a smile, a smile of triumph. Right there, he looked like a beast who had managed to bite its collar off."
- A subordinate of Maximillian in his old days as a Fairy Tail mage.
"I thought we would never see him again. I mean, we had our hopes for the first two years that he would return and continue to work alongside us as a reliable proxy from Fairy Tail. He had a very impressive and well-rounded track record. One that we had not seen in the replacement for a very long while, but when he had totally gone off the radar for a whole 5 years, we eventually decided that he would never come back. Now.....to see him return after such a long absence, it makes me wonder (and shiver) at what thoughts he might be having for getting out of retirement. He might not be the Max we were expecting all this time. Reports of his return are coupled with signs of great depression, berserk-like rage, malicious mockery and erratic pulses of magical energy from him. What I can confidently identify as symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. I've seen such cases among our own troops, especially after very long and grueling fights. However, Max's disorder is slightly different; I have never seen a disorder that potent and advanced before. He is obviously not as skilled as before, but he has become outright unpredictable. Who knows? After all, we have been getting reports of him seeking out the dark mages. Maybe.......our old friend might have became our enemy.....And my heart convulses with that thought."
-An old Rune Knight who had worked together with Max in cooperation operations between Fairy Tail and the Magic Councils.
"My, my, this is a surprise. Mother'freaking Maximillian Jerzanixon has returned?! Oh man, this is going to be such a painful thorn in our sides. Yeah, I know the Fairy Tail mage. I met him in battle. One of the old guild wars, too long ago for the youngsters these days to even know. See this stump of an arm? See my mechanical leg? He took those off. Cleanly and painlessly. Those blades of his, just sprouting out from almost everywhere on his body, it just made him look like a oblique sphere of powerful energy blades, dozens of those dangerous edges coming at you from almost every direction. I wonder if he can still do that, with his age and his long retirement. Because I do hope to challenge him again, if he really is back. He probably still have those goddamn drones that pop out from his back. If you don't take care of noticing those little buggers, you will get zapped whenever you are opened. And when you get zapped, you are not gonna get back up very soon. The way he fights, with a mixture of brutality, speed and ferocity, all the while keeping up a very staunch defense, it just pisses me off to the core. And the way he leads his 'comrades', it just make it so hard to counter him when he is backed up by a group. He usually takes up the front-line and cut enemies down, but he can just as easily switch to take a support role or a back-up sniper. And he does it almost ALL THE TIME! It's just so frustrating to be locking blades with one mage, only then to be bulldozed down by that hulk of a man! Oh, and need I mention the fact that his comrades barely get a scratch on them? ANDdddddddedede.....d-damn you.....Max...."
-One of Max's old enemies, deceased from an attack during the interview.
"..............."
"Who the f**k are you?"
-Maximillian Jerzanixon
End of Transmission.
Likes:
-Killing when necessary. Max actually relishes the very act of killing. However, at the same time, he has a hard time convincing his old conscience that his killing is actually morally right. Thus, acts that necessitate him killing help him to deal with his own moral conflict, while still getting the chance to bath in the thrilling shower of blood whenever he disposes his foes. Necessarily, of course.
-Seeing the young grow strong. A preserved fragment of his original personality, Max finds himself still feeling a warm feeling grow inside him whenever he sees a person of the new generation grow strong, be that person dark or legal. However, a skewed way to interpret this feeling would be to see that he recognized the person's growing strength and hence was drooling over the opportunity to have a enticing challenge when he gets to kill that person.
-Freshness. A like that is at least not related to his killing, Max finds himself admiring anyone who can put a degree of creativity, or in his words "freshness", into their actions. The range of actions can refer to magic, hobbies or simply actions that seem to show character development in the person. For example, if a coward now decided to attack him for the sake of his friends, Max would comment on the freshness of seeing such a development. Before biting off the person's skull to taste whether the meat had gotten fresh as well.
-The battlefield. A very sentimental old sod, and a very unstable one as well, Max loves to revel in the memories of the thrill and arousing excitement of killing and fighting. The fighting grounds feel like his own home territory.
-Reading. Being an old person has allowed him to find solace in the timeless act of reading a book. His favourite genres are tragedy and mystery, with humour sometimes being uplifting as well.
-Calm. In truth, Max is indeed suffering from PTSD - a result of the many wars he fought and the many people, both dark and sometimes legal mages, that he must slaughter for the sake of the maintenance of peace. While in the eyes of many his actions were heroic, he has seen them as atrocities and thus that mindset has eroded his original personality and sanity. Thus, his final like is to find a way to calm the guilt inside his head. The methods don't matter, be it imprisonment, vows, atonement or death.
Dislikes:
-People who keep on denying him his kill. As a direct obstacle between him and the blissful pleasure of murder, he sees such people as being brats that do not know their place and thus need to be removed.
-People who claim to be just like him. This is especially true if it is someone young and inexperienced. If anyone who spouts out their own life tragedy tries to make this presumptuous claim despite not even going through what his entire life has been, Max will not even giggle as he destroys the offender.
-The battlefield. A very tricky subject of both his like and dislike, the grounds of battle are a joy to him at first, but eventually the guilt that comes with the memories of his past kills come clawing back after a moderate period of time, causing Max erratic pain in the form of a neural event in his head.
Motivations:
-Who wants to talk about murders? Max does and he likes committing them as well. Being drenched in the bloodbath of his enemies just juice him up just like drugs, hence allowing him to forget for those precious seconds the very guilt he feels in his heart.
-Guilt. As mentioned before, he sees his acts in the past as a period of great sins and hence he is burdened by his own perception of guilt that he gives himself and thus he seeks vehemently many ways to rid himself of it, or at least deceive himself into believing its non-existence.
-PDST. Post-Traumatic-Stress-Disorder, this disorder has become a integral part of his mind, to the point that it gives him visions and ghost-like objectives in the form of his own wrapped voice in his head. These objectives usually point to the art of killing and frequently is accompanied with a sense of joy for the very act.
Fears:
-Solitary Confinement. Being forced to be imprisoned by himself is a hellish experience for him, for not only does his old self yearn for a friend's voice, but his murderous self also screams at its inability to kill, due to the lack of targets.
-Time. His advanced age has already been giving him trouble with lapses in magic and in strength but most of all, Max is beginning to fear the prospect of dying of old age. The indignity of dying from natural causes after such a life of violence and fighting just makes him quake in fear at the inevitable curse of time.
-Magic Overload. An unlikely scenario but still very widely grappled with in his mind, Max fears that he might possibly kill himself if he overdid. To die by his own hand rather than someone else's just does not sit well with him.
-His memories. The very source of his torture and agony, his memories return every once in a while to wreck havoc on him, writhing in torment and screaming cries of woe.
General Appearance
- Spoiler:
Weight: 300 kg(due to his cybernetic parts) Real Weight is 110 kg.
Hair: A swept-back mess of hair that reaches down to the bottom of his neck, it is mostly black and gray, with streaks of deathly white on it.
Eyes: Glowing red. The eyes glow in darkness.
Skin Tone: Dark Beige
Appearance:
Tall and broad, Maximillian is a man of massive proportions, his powerful and deeply defined psyche accentuated by the mechanical and hard look of the black-and-white cybernetic armor that covers his entire body. His face is solid and almost impregnable, minus the eight small finger-sized scars over his eyelids, the scars pulsing red with his every breath. However, around all that hardness is a lingering threat of madness, coming in the form of deep lines that crease at the side of his eyes, deepening whenever he gets enraged. A thick shadow has also formed around his chin and mouth, reinforcing his unstable look.
Beyond the armor, Maximilian also wears a graying high-collar trenchcoat that is sleeveless and has a hard-looking chest area and soft fabric trails. Originally the trails would form a single encompassing piece of fabric that would cover Max's sides and back. As a relic of his past, however, the cloth has been torn into six uniform tails, the ends rotting with age and darkening with dirt.
