Recently she had been out doing a task with another member of the West Fiore Trading Company, she had been given the job to do by Sol as was how it often was done. The job was in Lavanitir port city, it had been requested by the magic council to find out which of the four suspects had caused the explosion that had sunk the ship. She had been at ease taking this job as it was something that she was good at, the person who had come with her was even of use, though he was armed to the teeth. After the job however they went their separate ways, she wanted to do some shopping in Shirotsume since she needed some new clothing, makeup and accessories and it was close to the mountain her closest friend called home. Deep down she hoped he had been wandering trying to find her again, he had said he would make plenty of opportunities for them to see each other. She guessed this time she was the one who had done it, she was lonely and who knew when the next time she would be able to sneak off on her own.

It was while she was shopping in a nearby village it happened a sudden chaotic storm almost like wild magic, it ran rampant through the town destroying everything in it's wake. "Not good?" she whispered; she knew deep down she was able to stop it but she had never done something like it before so had no idea what to expect, but she had to protect them right? That's what was expected of her now... wasn't it. She moved her hands together making an orb of spirit and darkness pushing them forward making three blooms, she hoped that it would be enough to stop whatever was going on. "Now what?" she asked noting how the nulling spell took most of the power from the spell but it was coming. With a deep breath she started sucking in the elements that remained before falling to her knees coughing, blood escaping before she fell forward unconscious. When she woke she was in a patch of grass on the roadside her hand going to her head, she looked around trying to figure out where she was but nothing.

After a few moments she started to get up only to fall down again, tears falling as she had no idea what on earth was going on. It was almost like her legs forgot how to move but it didn't deter her as after the sixth or seventh attempt she finally stood only to fall after taking her first step, again she kept at it till she could move slowly and unsteadily towards the town exit. She had so many questions and had no idea how to get them answered, she just hopped that someone she knew would find her and soon.

Cool air, brisk winds, and a colossal rock camouflaged in silver, Mt. Hakobe afternoons had never been so punishing, and yet Ahote's wardrobe seemed even crueler. Socks, shirts, and even pants would be tossed to the ground as quickly as they were plucked from their drawers, Ahote fumbling through the darkness of his wardrobe in what looked to be a panic. A perturbed frown stretched across his lips, topaz eyes glistening with apprehension, "You've got to be kidding me. . ." his hand would press against his forehead and run up across his unkempt raven hair. It had grown exceptionally long in recent hours, so long that it nearly covered half of his face. Even though it didn't, a shock of raven black threads would still conceal his right eye.

Ahote sighed, wearily tossing himself onto his bed, skin bare and body naked. He leaned over the side of the bed, "None of my clothes fit. . ." he groaned to himself in a hushed voice, tightly clasping his hands together. He raised his head, topaz hues gazing deeply into the mirror just in ahead of him. What gazed back had been nothing more than his magical abnormality at work. What was once a normal teenage boy now in the body of a young adult with a look of dread etched on his pale countenance. His metal arm coiled itself around his fleshed shoulder, too tight for comfort, too small for his size. Ahote dipped his head down again, another sigh escaping his lips, "I need to buy some just to get by. . ."

It was then that a wave of mild determination encompassed him, plucking the thickest of his coats from their racks, the loosest of pants from their hangers, and new leather boots he had purchased in anticipation of this event. He tucked a small bag of jewels into his woolen pockets and hastily paced out into the winter. He and his mother had known too well about this abnormality, and it had only been just recently that Ahote found time to research it in depth. But it was no matter now. A decent set of clothes was the priority, it would seem.

The settlements had been of no help in this problem, as everything was far too expensive for him to purchase. Of course, stealing had come to mind. Or perhaps some violence. But the settlements had been too important and too close to home to stir ire with, and the young man had a mind far too clustered to even consider the idea. So, Ahote indignantly made way further from his home to Shirotsume.

Out of all of the towns, Shirotsume had been the one he had been most familiar with and never did he feel such excitement and zeal from the thought of freshly woven linen against his smooth complexion. The thought alone made his body hot with anticipation!

Through an incredibly awkward train ride and a small jog across railroad tracks, topaz hues had finally had the small town of Shirotsume in sight! Ahote's cheeks flushed rose to both the coolness of the chilly air and the relief of fabric just ahead. The bustling chatter of townspeople, the clean and strong buildings neatly aligned into avenues, Ahote always admired the architecture of everyday towns. However, stepping foot into the normally noisy town of Shirotsume, no bustling chatter rattled his ears, nor did the smoky smell of cooking fires fill his lungs. It had been disturbingly silent.

"Strange." Ahote chirped to himself, lumbering into the dirt roads of the town with a look of curiosity more than discomfort. Step by step, breath by breath, Ahote ventured deeper into the settlement with eyes wide with astonishment. Small buildings in shatters, as if a stampede of bulls had trampled through the town. No one had seemed to stay to admire the destruction that had taken place. Ahote smiled, "Impressive. . ." he whispered, stroking his jaw as if pondering about something.

The destruction continued up until a point, where footsteps and small drops of blood stained the ground. Silently, his interest had been further piqued as he would follow the trails of small footsteps in hopes that it might lead him to either a corpse bearing free fabrics or perhaps a better surprise. He hummed tunes that had been sung to him before, though their names remain a forgotten memory, as he sauntered down the clumsy path, leading him to a staggering figure. They wore beautiful clothing, thoughts of his much-loved companion flickering in his lingering thoughts. The staggering figure was small, a several inches shorter, it seemed. A girl, maybe?

Awkwardly, Ahote approached the troubled stranger with a simper stretching across his lips, reaching out his metal limb to gently grab their shoulder "Are you struggling, miss. . .- !" he paused midsentence. This smell, these fabrics, the hair, the skin! Abruptly, Ahote stepped to their front.

Topaz hues wide with disbelief, it had been Yuiisai! A battered, bloody Yuiisai at that, but Yuiisai nonetheless! Ahote caressed their cheek, "Yuiisai! What are you doing here? And those injuries. . ." his eyes flickered to the crimson smeared across their lips, metal and flushed thumbs rubbing gently across his smooth cheeks, "You must be treated immediately. Where does it hurt? Can you walk?" he queried impatiently. His eyes were wet and glistening with concern, a frown morphing his lips. Never did he think he'd be reunited in such a horrific way.

Yuiisai had continued to stumble forward the steps that had once been beautiful and graceful now were sluggish and held all the grace of an elephant trying to do ballet, still she was on her feet and moving forward, bleeding onto her clothing holding her ribs. People watching her quietly or completely avoiding her, she want to ask them why they were looking at her as if she was some kind of monster while others looked at her with pity; to ask them for help but she herself was far to afraid to ask them. How could she ask them with all those eyes on her? She didn't know much but understood that she was in bad shape and wondered why no one offered to help her, was she a bad person? Did she do something bad, she paused looking around at the destruction around her and shook "D.. Did I cause this?" she asked herself her voice shaking mirroring the fear she felt "I.. is this the reason they won't help?" she continued before starting to stumble forward once more wanting to get out of there as soon as she could, afraid that she had caused what had happened and not wanting to harm anyone.

She stopped leaning over to cough blood briefly unaware that there was another approaching her, she shot up hearing a voice behind her, she winced due to the sharp pain through her ribs. She didn't have any clue who she was so it was no surprise when she looked confused at the other, even if she hadn't had lost her memory with such a big change without looking too the others eyes she would have easily mistaken him for another. Seeing the other abruptly step in front of her she tried to move back fear clearly seen on her face, panic written in her eyes. "P.. please don't hurt me... i.. if I've wronged this place I'm sorry.." her voice was in pain and shaking as tears welled in her milky blue jade eyes "I.. I'm jus-" she was cut short as the other cupped their cheeks rubbing their thumbs tenderly over them. "Who are you?" she asked not even taking in the first part she was just so shocked at how the other was treating her "I find it hard to walk but can, my body hurts so bad and I don't know why.." it would be clear she was confused by the tone and her reactions "Do we know each other?" she asked hoping that he could answer some questions for her.

Ahote continued to rub her cheeks with his thumbs as tenderly as he was capable of. It was just as soft as he remembered, even if it hadn't been that long since the two had last seen each other. Even with the crimson smeared across her chin and lips, she smelled of pleasant scents. Scents he could only associate with flowers. Her skin was smooth and white as milk, her eyes round and wet. Yuiisai had truly been a beautiful human being, and Ahote couldn't help but admire her physical aesthetic even in this time of crisis.

Honeyed words escaped Yuiisai's trembling lips like they would normally have, though the words that had rolled off her tongue and into his ears had widened his eyes as if he had just seen something astonishing. Even so, his apparent astonishment was brief, as his topaz hues quickly narrowed and a weary sigh squeezed out of his chest. "It's me, Ahote. But this is a conversation we must save for another time." he insisted impatiently. He hadn't even begun to think of what she'd say to a strange man suddenly grabbing her, even if they did know each other. What else was she to think? How was she to know that Ahote had such a change in appearance? Ahote licked his thumb and began to rub it against the drying blood smeared across her mouth, "Look at you. . . you're an absolute mess. . ." he whispered to himself, a frown morphing his lips and his face scrunching together, a look of a man who was determined to "clean something."

Ahote would sigh against, continuing to clean her face with brisk movements. His eyes fixed on her skin, he continued to frown, "In any case, we need to get you looked at. We at least need to stop the bleeding until I can take you back home with me. So. . ." he rubbed his thumb against his clothing, along with any thin layer of saliva and blood that was on it, hunching down with his arms extended and his hands approaching the upper and lower parts of her body, ". . .up we go?" Ahote smiled nervously. He felt almost foolish to ask to lift her when she was in dire need of medical attention. But who was she to refuse?

Yuiisai looked to the taller male in front of them through their milky jade blue eyes unsure how to take how he was reacting, the touch was indeed making them shake but that was due to a stranger touching them. The others touch however was so gentle that they didn't pull away, they were just glad that they didn't want to harm them. She listened to the other as he spoke tilting their head, he spoke as if she should have known him but she was drawing a blank "A.. Ahote?" she whispered her voice holding the confusion that was written over her blood covered face "D.. do I know you?" she asked she would feel horrible if she had and couldn't remember him but then there would have to be some sort of way for the other to prove what they where saying, she may not remember anything but she knew better than to just take everything a total stranger said to her as gospel. "I'm sorry for not remembering but I don't even remember who I am..." she bit her lip looking down but released it quickly tasting the blood.

"I.. I'm sorry for asking but do you have any proof we knew each other?" she asked feeling even worse now asking for him to prove his word, she didn't know him as far as she understood everyone was a stranger and that included herself. She stood there as he other started cleaning the blood from her flawless skin, almost like she was a doll to the other. Yuiisai didn't want to offend the other if this was a normal interaction between the two but at the same time she was curious if this was normal. "Would you happen to know who I am? Where I live? My family?" she would eventually ask him in a quiet voice, these questions were basic things anyone should know about themselves and those closest to them would know the answers to them; she just had to hope that after proving they knew each other that he would tell her the truth but she wouldn't know either way.

"I apologise for my appearance, I don't mean to look messy for you or anyone else. I know that it's unacceptable but something happened I think" she knew little but it was instinctual that you needed to look neat in front of others. She winced as his brisk cleaning of her face started to hurt and so took a step back rubbing the soar spot gently "Sorry, it was starting to hurt." she looked down apologetically only to look up as he spoke about getting her seen to before taking her home with him. 'Does this mean I live with him? Then why did he seem so surprised to see me?' she thought to herself her eyes staying locked to his bright topaz ones. "We live together?" she asked wanting to confirm things with him. "How did I get hurt? Why don't I remember?" she was close to breaking out into tears as was shown in her eyes and the breaking of her voice she was so very lost and confused at current. She nodded knowing she was in no shape to refuse someone's kindness but was still wary of this male as he had wanted to assist her when others had moved away.

Yuiisai barraged him with questions he could barely count on his fingers. It was to be expected from someone who apparently had experienced something spectacularly destructive, and yet she failed to recall the name of her companion. Still, Ahote could only acknowledge a small amount of those questions. Things relating to her appearance or her issue with how hard he was rubbing was of little importance to him, after all.

Ahote could simply say nothing to Yuiisai's shocking words and instead wore a gazing countenance, eyes flickering between her bloody face and the destruction that was in her path. He stepped back from the weary Yuiisai and ran his metal digits through his unkempt raven locks, "No, I don't have any proof of us knowing each other. Well, at least on me. But someone, as battered as yourself, should accept any assistance you can get, yes?" he insisted. There were a few tangible things that he could've shown her if he hadn't kept it at home for safekeeping. How would he have known that he would have to bring it with him today of all days? It was as if his life was filled with misfortune. Ahote continued, "Your name is Yuiisai. But as to where you live and who your family is. . ." he paused with a soft, quiet voice. Where exactly did she live and who was her family? Any friend would know these basic things, but it was a fact shrouded in mystery to the bewildered Ahote. His lips briefly quirked into a frown and expression transformed into something far bleaker. Giving an honest answer wouldn't help his case or persuade her to come with him, he thought. With such thoughts, a smile returned to his pale complexion, "Yes, we live together. Us and many others live not too far from this place. We are, by all means, your family. And as such, you need trust my word and return home with me. Yes?" he hummed patiently. How much trouble would he get into for letting such false words cross his tongue? Whatever the amount, the idea was exhilarating.

Ahote stepped towards her again, gently caressing her hands in his own, "I'm only trying to help. So, if you do not return to your family, misfortune only lies ahead for you. You don't want that, do you?" he smiled again, his eyes narrowed so thin that it looked that of daggers, as if looking at a small, pretty thing. The destruction within the town had never been so painfully obvious as to who brought it. Ahote could hear them. See the townspeople glare at her and speak of her only in fearful whispers. Yes, he heard them all and dreaded the thought. Yet, the dread filled him with zeal. "Oh, what magnificent power!" Ahote thought. He had been thoroughly determined to nurture her ability to its greatest extent.

She hadn't meant to bombard the other with questions, but what else could she do? She was without her memories and so had a lot of questions that needed to be answer. "I'm sorry for asking so many questions but..." she trailed off hoping the other would understand her predicament and so be patient with her, her eyes were so filled with confusion and sorrow she knew something bad had happened there but she had no idea if she was the cause or not. It didn't matter at the end of the day however as it was traumatising enough that it had made her forget everyone and everything she once knew. She paid little mind to her clothing it was torn and dirty but it covered her properly, she was also warm and dry for the most part so the rest didn't really take priority at current anyway.

She could see that the taller male, the one who had dared talk to and help her shocked at how she was behaving but that wasn't her fault... or was it? How she wished she could remember what had happened but guessed that would all come back in time. Yuiisai blinked as Ahote took a step back looking between her bloodied form and the destruction around them, at that moment she felt self conscious and scared of herself and what may have been done. Still she watched his actions silently turning her eyes eventually, on hearing that he didn't at least not on him her gaze went back to him "You have proof that we know each other though?" she questioned again though hearing his words she looked down, she couldn't deny his logic but there was reason to her asking. "You're right but at the same time I need the proof... I wouldn't want to be trusting the wrong people... who knew what they would do with me." she said her voice shaking as she thought the worst "You understand... right?" it was like she needed his approval and understanding on such a thing.

She continued to listen as he gave her, her name back and smiled a little "Yuiisai is such a beautiful name." she said but even to her lost self she could tell it wasn't a common name so now wondered where she came from, but that would have to wait for another time. She took notice however on how he paused but she thought it was him finding the best way to tell her more information since most things where complex, still silent she observed his movements but tilted her head as he spoke of them living together. "We do live together?" she repeated though she was confused as she was told that many others lived with her. "Many others? Home is big?" she asked these question she couldn't stop herself from asking. Hearing that where she apparently stayed was close and that he and these others where her family and had to trust his word and return to where they lived she bit her lip nodding "When we get home you will show me proof of this? I'm not meaning to call you a liar, it's I fear someone will contradict or that I will be told false truths." she just wanted to feel safe in knowing that she wasn't being taken advantage of in her current condition.

She looked to him as he once again stepped towards her taking her small gentle hands in his bigger, stronger hand ever so delicately caressing them as he spoke once more to her. She listened intently to his words at how he wanted to help her, take her home, that misfortune awaited if she wandered from her family. She now wondered if that was what had happened now, she had wandered from home when she wasn't meant to and what ever happened was the result of her disobedience. "Ahote, did I wander from home? Was the destruction and misery that happened here my fault because I left without telling someone?" She asked she prayed the answer was no but deep in her gut she was afraid he would say yes. She looked to him close to tears in fear that it was her fault "I'm so sorry I left, I don't want misfortune on anyone." she spoke hearing the whispers of those close by of the villagers, she had no idea that she hadn't been the cause only that they blamed her as they had seen her put an end to the chaotic magic that would have surely ended the place.

Ahote smiled weakly. The bewildered Yuiisai’s bombard of questions pounded against his ears and made his flesh hot with vexation. Peevishly, he rubbed his left temple with a slow, careful movement with a smile still quirked on his lips. Never did he wish for her silence so greatly as her constant stream of questions became nearly obnoxious. But the patient Ahote wallowed in these trifles in silence and in the darkness of his mind.

Ahote sighed and nodded wearily, “Yes, yes, to all of your questions. We live together with many others, all a part of our family. When we return, I will show you all the proof you need.” his eyebrows scrunched together and lips quivered as if he were holding something back. Although his vision had been occupied with the full view of the struggling Yuiisai, his head had been clustered with thought.  What was he to say in response to her confusion? This destruction had something to do with Yuiisai, Ahote had been sure of it. “Yes,” his lips curved into a more prominent, stretched smile, “you wandered too far for comfort. And look at the mess you’ve made!” he proceeded to wave his hand in the general direction of the shattered windows, crumbling buildings, and the fearful mothers holding their sons, “if we didn’t live the way we did, we’d have to pay for this with the money we don’t have. Even worse, what if some Rune Knight scum had caught you?” Ahote began to rub his forehead with sympathetic fingers. Shirotsume was a relatively remote town, as Rune Knights were a rare and special sight in these streets. Yet the thought was as stressful as the reality of it, and still he wore his smile, treating it almost as an simple accident. Like spilled milk!

Metal digits ran through his unkempt raven locks only to fall back to the right side of his face, obscuring sharp, almond shaped hues. “Now can we please get going?”

Yuiisai may have not have had he memories but she could still read the others body language and could tell that his patience was becoming thin with her asking so many questions even if he still wore a smile. She diverted her eyes feeling like a bad person for bothering him with such trivial questions, she moved her left hand to her upper right arm. It would be clear that she understood she had somewhat upset or annoyed the other, she just wanted to run away but where could or would she go? She had just been told that if she turned her back on her family misfortune would follow and given the scene around them she had no reason to doubt that "Sorry Ahote..." she whispered not wanting to break the patience that he did currently have still, he wanted to ask him if that was the reason he was there but thought things like that could wait for now. She felt like a pitiful shell of a person, almost hollow yet if he wanted to feel complete she'd have to ask questions, what she was struggling with was how to get information without being a bother.

She thought that time would be the thing that she would have to count on for much of the information, but who knew how long that would take or even if this was a common occurrence with her. Hearing the other speak she couldn't help but flinch at the tone he was using while answering her questions in very quick succession, she just wanted to break down and cry; to tell him not to bother with any of it before running off, hiding away from everyone. As she thought on this her eyes welled up with tears, she tried to fight to hide them but right now that just wasn't possible. She didn't mean to cause misfortune on anyone, her legs gave out and she fell to the ground tears pouring out of her eyes and down her gentle eyes. "I.. I.." she choked on her words as she quickly became hysterical, it was clear even now her gentle spirit was still there undamaged "I'm sorry... I didn't mean to Ahote..." she managed eventually to get out looking up to the other with stinging and blood shot eyes.

She didn't know what a Rune Knight was but with how Ahote seemed to loath them it was clear they weren't good people "I.. I.. I don't know.." she whispered placing her hands flat on the ground in front of her she quickly placed her head on them quickly, though it was excruciatingly painful given what she had been put through she followed her instincts and bowed to the one whom seemed to take care of her. "You would have been so worried and angry..." she said not sure what else to say as she was sure what he was saying was true on this matter "I.. I'll help rebuild the village if it makes things better." she had no idea if she knew she could do such things or he would allow it even if she did, but she felt so very terrible that she had caused such pain and misery as heard in her cracking tear filled voice. "You should just abandon me to the whims and harsh judgements of these people and the Rune Knight so I don't cause more destruction." she said finally sitting up looking to him once more not sure why he would want someone like her back home.

Ahote's face became hot and pink with the rushing blood beneath his flesh at the sight of her eyes become wet with tears, his sharp, topaz eyes wide. He could hardly believe that his companion would abruptly break into a fit of tears and what seemed to be sadness, but such disbelief became a mild shock in realizing how overwhelmed she looked. Her complexion was ghostly pale with smudges of what he assumed to be her blood smeared across her perfect skin, not to mention the trampled constructions scattered about the battered town, and the prying eyes of the townspeople. Any child would break under the weight of the situation, and perhaps the normally strong-willed Yuiisai as well.

A frosty cloud of breath escaped his mouth as the awkward Ahote sighed, kneeling down and placing both hands on Yuiisai's shoulders, rubbing them quickly and gently, "No, no. I won't abandon you here, we'd all be devastated if that were to happen. Quiet now," he began to make shushing noises, "your face will be covered in both snot and blood if you continue. Not the best combination if you ask me." Ahote giggled. He would shift his hands from her shoulders to her cheeks, lifting them up so their eyes might meet, "This destruction is an example of strength. Don't feel ashamed of it and instead use it for the right things. I'll tell you all about those things when we get home, okay? So stop crying, you'll get wrinkles!" a grin would begin to stretch from ear to ear. He would try to comfort her the only way he knew how. With his gentle rubs and playful grin, all his pearly whites had been exposed in hopes she would reflect the same cheerfulness.

Suddenly, his eyes would light up as if some spectacular idea had come to mind. Gently, he cupped her cheeks in his metal and fleshed palms, leaning in to press dry lips against her cold forehead. If his cheerful grin had not been the answer to this situation, surely this act of kindness would! Ahote smiled weakly, "Can we stop somewhere before we depart, though? I know you're in pain, but I'll freeze to death if I don't purchase at least a set of shirts." he rubbed her temples with his chilly thumbs, "I'll even get you something. How about it?" he insisted. Although, the townspeople were most likely securing their markets from Yuiisai's own destruction. But, there was nothing a little extortion and threatening can't do!

Yuiisai hadn't meant to break down like she was it was just something that happened, she had apparently done something wrong not only to this village but to her family and guild by leaving the safety of their home area. She wished she could remember so she could have figured out what she had done and why she had done it, for now however she was coming up with nothing but blanks which wasn't a good thing for her at least. Her watering eyes then looked at the other noticing the pink in his normal paler complexion, she had to wonder the reason behind this change. Was it because she was crying, was he was embarrassed or was there something more to this that she didn't remember. She didn't want to really ask anymore questions but there was one that she needed to know now from the other "Ahote, I will only ask this one last question till we get home; what is our relationship to each other?" her voice showed her confusion, she hoped that the other would understand why this was so badly needed by her and would fill in one of the most important the blanks at current at least. For now she tried to push the surroundings from her mind, if she had done such a terrible thing nothing she done now would change it.

Feeling his strong hands on her small, fragile and now trembling body made her want to cry more, this was more into his chest for comfort and the want to feels safe but managed to prevent such actions taking place. She however brought up her left arm and wiped her eyes with the tattered willow sleeve of her clothing as he tried to calm her, she knew he was trying his best but in her gut it didn't feel right and she had no idea as to why; it did work on some level as she stopped crying but continued to sniffle as she got herself together. She was surprised to hear that he wouldn't leave her there at the whims of the people and their laws, that her family wouldn't like it. 'Is this what a family does?' she thought to herself after quiet contemplation she decided that it must have been the case as why else would he really care what happened to her. Hearing his words about how she would look if she where continue she used her sleeve to fix her face the best she could, she found herself happy that she wasn't wearing anything on her face or the tears would have ruined it and so make her even more a mess than she already was.

As Ahote's hands moved she didn't fight his direction looking up at him listening intently to his words, she didn't understand why he seen what she did as a good thing, she was glad however that he wasn't overly angry that she had done such an awful thing. She nodded hearing that she shouldn't be ashamed but use her power for the correct reasons, she now wondered what they where and was relieved that she would be taught what these where instead of having to ask or work it out on her own. "Thank you Ahote, I'd like to remember that." she said her voice gentle as it normally was as her emotions seemed to now begin to stabilise, her nose instinctively scrunched when she heard the word 'wrinkle' that was one thing she seemed to dislike on a deeper level "If I get wrinkles then I won't be attractive to people like you." she said with a pout as she started to get up on weak and shaky legs, she felt almost as if she was ready to fall several times and so held onto the other for support.

It was when she was fully standing she felt the warmth of his fleshed hand and the cold of metal one gently cup her cheek, she had no idea how something so cold could feel as tender as the other but here she was experiencing it first hand. A sudden gasp escaped her delicate lips eyes going wide as she felt his lips going to her forehead. "I-I don't know why but what you done... i-it feels familiar." she said a small smile on her lips as she started to feel at peace, hearing the others wants she nodded quickly "My pain can be ignored for a while, if you need clothing lets do that." her words small as she continued to hold onto his arm heading towards the frightened stall and store owners.

Yuiisai had proven to be more of a handful than Ahote had originally anticipated with the sobbing and a barrage of questions so colossal that it seemed more like a storm of arrows than queries. The man wondered if he was anything like this when she was in her right mind. Was he this needy? Yet, it was hard to call her desperation and frightfulness neediness, as it was the behavior any confused and disoriented person would have if they had been in the same situation. Or so Ahote thought.

The quiet chatter and whispering had died down and many of the bystanders had retreated deeper into town or what was left of their homes. But Ahote had no reasonable doubt that they would continue to speak of this event with only bitter words and of Yuiisai in fearful whispers. It was a sacrifice every criminal and ne'er-do-well had to make at some point in their lives, the people's fear for you as opposed to their love or respect, though at times Ahote's convinced himself that was only a vague difference between the three.

Ahote's topaz orbs glanced over the scattered rubble hidden under layers of dirt and dust from the damage through his shock of unkempt raven-locks. The air was dry and smelled of burning coals most likely secured deep within the fiery hearths of the homes that still stood. It had almost smelled of the fortress's tavern, but he could only smell it longingly, for the town had now been as silent and bitter as his home was. Quietly, he'd peer back over to the inquisitive Yuiisai with a bleak smile plastered across his face, the wetness of his eyes would glisten in the dim sunlight as if someone had dripped morning dew onto his orbs. Though his pale complexion was stretched with a curve of the lips, a transparent crestfallenness could be seen deep within the topaz crystals, as if he were witnessing some bittersweet thing. Peals of soft, empty laughter trickled from his lips like waves, offering an arm out to the stumbling Yuiisai, "I'm flattered," he'd chuckle breezily, "As for our relationship? Well," Ahote looked down at his feet, his lips still quirked up and eyes staring blankly at his toes before raising his head to face her once more, "we're friends, that's all. I'm doing as a friend should, Yuiisai, so don't think too hard about it, alright? Now, let us be off, or you'll freeze to death before you bleed to death." Some people simply had tragedy written in their blood, and others simply wanted to clothe themselves, it seemed.
