Job Description: A client has come to the guild with a ‘simple’ request. To give them an everlasting flame. While this sounds completely ridiculous, I mean it’s got to run out of energy at some point right? You still decide to take it upon yourself to do just that. However, before you get started you decide to do some research in the guild library, where you and your team discover that there is a rumoured everlasting flame said to exist in Desertio, the kingdom of the burning sun, and so you must trek out there to find if it is true, and if so, a way to harness it for the client.
HINTS TO HELP:
Within the book it reads ‘In the centre of the triangle you will find the flame that burns eternally.’ which one would only assume is in correlation to that of the location of the three great cities of Desertio.
Once you finally get to the location you will find the top of a buried tower in the sand. You will have to enter the tower and make your way around the twisting staircases to find the room with the flame.
From there you will learn through whatever means you wish that it was put there by a dragon over 1000 years ago as a gift to the ones that lived in the castle that is now covered in sand for their noble deeds. You can make up a means of capturing some of the flame if you wish, or say that it was not able to be removed. Either way you will report back to the client with your findings and force them to pay for your services.
Enemies: No specific enemies, however, “Desierto is a sandy expanse of slave trading, mineral and metal farming, and crawling with enough rogue bandit tribes to rival an army.” Therefore, it is highly recommended to be on your guard at all times as you attempt to find the location mentioned within the book.
