❆ Description: Frostfire is exactly how it sounds; flames that freeze, not burn. The icy blue flames produced by frostfire magic consume and spread just as flames would - anything normal fire could burn, this one will consume too. However, frostfire has the added benefit of spreading across ice and not requiring heat to survive. On the contrary, too much heat can cause the flames to become ineffective as any ice they apply is immediately melted. To activate a Frostfire spell, Ash claps his hands together in front of him, and a coil of frostfire surrounds both of them. The following gesture defines what spell Ash will use.
Ash uses frostfire as a close range magic, creating waves of flames and swinging around entire plumes of flame in large arcs like a snake. Additionally, he also imbues his legs with frostflames to increase the power of his kicks and apply ice to those he attacks. While frostfire isn’t quite as effective at creating structures as other Ice magics, namely Ice Make, with a little time and effort, the ice created by the flames can eventually create crude weapons such as daggers and spears, or small structures like walls and towers.

⽕ Phoenix Style ❆
Phoenix style strays away from the application of Frostbite. Instead, most Phoenix Style spells focus on using the extremely cold frostflames produced by Ash's Phoenix lineage to rapidly create ice weapons such as arrows, swords and knives. In addition to this, Phoenix style spells that utilize the flames themselves do not inflict Frostbite, as the frostflames are so cold that they burn instead of freeze.

Strengths:
- Spoiler:
❆ Frostflames do not require heat to survive and cannot be extinguished by water or cold temperatures.
❆ The ice left by frostflames can create crude structures such as weapons and battlements.
❆ Frostfire spreads much faster than normal fire, as it can spread across the ice that it creates.
Weaknesses:
- Spoiler:
❆ High temperatures can easily melt the ice from the frostflames as quickly as it is made, rendering the ice useless.
❆ Extended use of frostflames around the user to the point that the ice clings to them can result in frostbite, hypothermia and lack of energy.
❆ The structures that frostfire can fashion are far less structurally stable than those created by Make magic, and takes far more time to accomplish also.
Lineage:
- Spoiler:
- ⽕ Phoenix Fire
- Spoiler:
- Before there were Dragons, there were great Phoenixes. Their flames symbolized life and rebirth instead of death and destruction. One Phoenix took care of an orphan boy, the phoenix raised him and when he was old enough he was given the powers of the phoenix. His powers were incredible and were passed on through the generations, but with each passing one they grew weaker. Mages with phoenix blood today still carry the most important ability of the phoenix: Rebirth. However, it is very limited. They need fire ( any fire ) to manipulate it and grant it the magical powers of the phoenix, then they have to be consumed by the flames entirely. When the flames fade ashes will surround the user will be rejuvenated. The user consumes flames to recover their HP by 25% and their MP by 25% and if they are killed they will be revived and healed of their injuries with 25% of their HP healed and their MP is set to 25%.
⽕ Ability- Spoiler:
- Manipulating fire, the user can utilize flame as a weapon within 20 meters. The manipulated fire can be used to deliver melee damage of rank at range + 50%. Flame strikes at 15m/s speed to anywhere within the area of control.
By directing this fire to envelop their own body they can regenerate 25% of their HP as well as 25% of their MP. If killed during a thread the user can be revived by consuming nearby flames and be recovered to 25% HP and their MP is set to 25%. They have 25% fire resistance.
⽕ Usage- Spoiler:
- Manipulating fire lasts 3 posts with a 6 post cooldown and needs some fire to be be manipulated within 20 meters of them. Recovering HP and MP is once per thread and reviving from flames can only be used if they have flames near them and they have not used flames to recover HP and MP before. Also the revival is once per thread and after being revived the user cannot use spells for 1 post due to having just died. For the HP/MP recovery or the revival flames need to be within 5ft of them to be absorbed.
Unique Abilities:
- Spoiler:
- ❆ Phoenix Flight
- Spoiler:
- Using both his frostflames and his Phoenixborn lineage, Ash can fashion his flames into wings that grant him flight for as long as he maintains focus on the wings.
❆ Waterwalk- Spoiler:
- By projecting his flames onto the water in front of him, Ashtver can lay out a carpet of solid ice along the surface of the water, granting him transit across oceans and other bodies of water.
❆ Frostbite- Spoiler:
- The frost left by the flames on the environment and opponents causes their movements to slow gradually as the cold seizes their muscles and sends their body into a frantic, clumsy jitter. Due to this, many spells apply a 50% slow. At B rank, this is increased to 60%. Repeated applications of Frostbite will not stack, only refresh it. However, fire mages are resistant to the slow effect of Frostbite thanks to their magic melting the ice quicker than it can freeze them, halving all Frostbite debuffs.
Additionally, the fire manipulation portion of the Phoenix Fire lineage also benefits from Frostbite, equal to his rank, if Ash chooses to use it to manipulate the Frostfire instead.
- Spoiler:
- ❆ Frostfire Breath
- Spoiler:
- Rank: D
Type: Fire, Ice, Offensive, DoT, AoE.
Duration: 3 posts.
Cooldown: 4 posts.
Cost: 20 MP
Description: Ash cups his hands around his mouth, breathing out sharply and firing a 6 ft wide plume of frostflames forward 20 meters from his hands and mouth. The flames catch onto all targets caught in the plume and deals 10 damage to each target, damaging them over time for the same amount for the remainder of the spell's duration. It also applies Frostbite for each turn they are damaged by the spell. In addition to this, the spell also saps 5% mana from enemies each turn they are damaged by it.
Strengths:
❆ Very fast to initiate and quick to reach its max range.
❆ Bathes a large area in frostflames, making it difficult to avoid at close range.
❆ Deals damage over time, more damage while in the spell than outside.
Weaknesses:
❆ Can be easily countered by an equal or stronger fire spell.
❆ Deals very little damage.
❆ Highly ineffective against fire mages, as the frostbite does not affect them and they take less ice damage.
❆ Frostfire Fortress- Spoiler:
- Rank: D
Type: Ice, Fire, Defensive, DoT.
Duration: 3 posts.
Cooldown: 4 posts.
Cost: 20 MP
Description: Ash pushes his hands outwards to either side of him, causing frostflames to surround him in a 7 foot wide circle and hinder sight into it, but allowing him sight out of it. The flames will defend against most non-solid spells such as water, light and electricity, but can easily be pierced by metal, wood, ice and other solid materials. It can take up to 2 D rank spells or equivalent before being extinguished. Additionally, ordinary flames can quickly extinguish the frostflames, counting as one rank higher than this spell. The circle can also be broken with a melee attack, but it will apply rank D Frostbite for the remainder of the spell's duration.
Strengths:
❆ Covers a large area.
❆ Somewhat fast to activate.
❆ Absorbs most spells.
❆ Applies Frostbite to melee fighters.
Weaknesses:
❆ Easily pierced by solid magic attacks (particularly Make magics).
❆ Easily countered by fire mages as they can extinguish the flames, and the Frostbite does not affect them.

❆ Very powerful in close combat.

❆ Easily able to apply Frostbite through repeated attacks.
Weaknesses:
❆ No long range capability.
❆ Frostbite is ineffective against fire mages.
❆ Does not apply frostflames to the arms and therefore melee attacks with arms are ordinary.
❆ Can be cancelled early by high temperatures.

- Rank: D
Type: Ice, Multi-target.
Duration: 1 post.
Cooldown: 2 posts.
Cost: 20 MP

Strengths:
❆ High total possible damage compared to other D rank spells for Frostfire.
❆ Long ranged.
❆ More effective against fire mages than other frostfire spells, as it delivers instant damage and does not rely on Frostbite or damage over time.
❆ Can either attack a single target or multiple targets.
Weaknesses:
❆ Requires a short amount of time to form and fire the arrows.
❆ Does not apply Frostbite to targets.
❆ Can be interrupted while forming the arrows.
❆ Each individual arrow only deals a small amount of damage.
❆ Can be quite easily dodged at long range due to projectile travel time.
❆ Phoenix Blade- Spoiler:
- Rank: D+
Type: Fire, Ice, Burst.

Cost: 30 MP

Strengths:
❆ Very fast activation.
❆ Very powerful in close combat.
❆ Difficult to avoid due to the speed and length of the blade.
❆ Very quickly applies frostbite.
❆ Cannot be blocked by solid objects.
Weaknesses:
❆ No long range capability.
❆ Frostbite is ineffective against fire mages.
❆ Solid materials pass through the flames, so the spell is useless when deliberately attempting to strike an object.
❆ Can be extinguished with fire magic or intense heat.
❆ Does not guarantee the enemy will leave close quarters.
