It also shows the change in the ways of life that she was not supposed to have, as well as the change to going to the outside world. She was blessed with the butterfly deity in order to help her.
She is immune to dying of old age due to the blessings of the all might animal deities.
Personality: Mer was born in a mystical forest that locked in anybody who entered. She grew up with a mysterious tribe that taught her everything she knew. She was born with the religion of the animal deities. These animals were all assigned mystic traits that America has prayed upon every day. She has been a girl of religion ever since she was born because of her ability to speak with the deities. It has made her a true believer of faith, and a lover of nature. When she was still in the womb her parents went on a journey into a forest one day. It was a tour of some sort and they got lost while wounding up in the mystical forest. After they entered this area they reached a village where they would stay for forever. However the deities of the animals had blessed the Mer with their abilities. When Mer turned 13 the deities gave her chance to see the real world instead of just the inside of the forest. The catch was that she would never be able to come back to the forest. They gave her a week for her decision and her parents had convinced her to take the offer. This gave her the qualities she has now such as her qualities of the good and bad clearly being shown because of her need to show the world everything, like how the deities have showed her the world. Mer is also determined because she sacrificed everything she had to be normal and in the real world instead of an endless forest. She did all this so she could have a real/good life and she is determined to make that true as well as make the world as good as she believed it to be. This is also why she can be seen as a heroic figure that can stand against all evil. She is very ditzy at times because of her amazement of the world around her. Mer cares for everything in the world. Although she is not evil she respects the evil for being who they are and doing what they care for. It may seem odd but she is one of the most excepting people someone will ever know, which makes her a trusted ally.
In battle Mer is a true born leader because of her ability to work well and communicate with others no matter what circumstance they are in. Also because of her ability to understand the emotions and systems in life allow her to create excellent strategies and manipulate others through words. It also allows her to become more trustworthy when it comes to others and make her more like an encouraging light in the world. The light shines to others and keeps them inspired and motivated which allows Mer to be a leader while being trusted enough by others. When in battle she likes to take charge and fight on the front lines so she can protect the new people she had cared for because she was sheltered as a child. She wants the best for every body and she will make sure they will receive the best even if she dies in the process.

-Truth-Being truthful is the most important thing to Mer especially since she was taught to be truthful throughout her life
-Friendship-Being in the forest was very lonely since villagers were forbidden to reproduce under the effects of the mystical forest
Dislikes:
-Electronics-Living in a forest for all her life left little to electronics. This makes her feel very awkward when she comes into contact with electronics
-The Quiet-It was never quiet in the forest because everyone tried to have as much fun as possible when in the forest. This makes her hate the quiet because of the need for her to feel energetic
-Reflections-Staring at her reflection is hated by Mer because it makes her feel awful about herself. It reminds her of what she had done and what she had done to get there.
Motivations:
-Getting Back Home-Although she knows she can’t go back, Mer wants to so badly so she can tell every one of her adventures
-Honoring Her Parents- If it wasn’t for her parents, she wouldn’t be in the outside world any longer. Because of this she wants to honor her family so she knows their sacrifice was worth it
-Exploring-Exploring the world is very important to Mer because of her need to make her journey to the outside worth it as well as learning what this new world was like

-Disappointing others-Being in a place that was so tightly knit made Mer hate disappointing others, especially the deities. She tries her best to stay as strong as possible in order to impress everyone else
-Chaos-Living in a place so sheltered meant no chaos, but in the real world there was no sheltering. This scares Freya because of the difference in insanity in the forest and the insanity in the real world
-Death-Since it was sure that no one could ever die in the mystic forest, it made Mer feel safe, but now she lived in a world where she could die. This terrifies Mer completely.
