Samira's Mind Space:
The spirits currently dwelling within Samira's mind and viewing the progress of their summoner's mission were completely unaware of their surprise visitor. Soon after Serqet had made her comment about their files being read and how it was unlikely that was even true, they had calmed slightly. However, it only lasted a few short moments. As they had just started to get off the idea of needing tin foil hats to keep the Kaori satellite signals from entering, an unknown spirit popped out of no where and in such a way that one would assume he had been there for who knew how long. He appeared to have no fear or panic over being out of his hidden form, although it wasn't as if he needed any sort of bravery. All spirits in the room were stunned and speechless at the random appearance, for more reasons than one. Their eyes had all gone blank and turned white, and their mouths went wide. Symbols consisting of ?! also appeared above each head, because in the celestial world anything is possible, including random grammar signs materializing. Not a single spirit currently present could make a move to defend the mind space. How were they to expect such an intrusion? It was their summoner's mind! A place only they should have been able to access in such a way! Even after the strange spirit had left they were all still standing there, looking like complete morons. Kali had been the first to recover, and the first to pretend she had completely expected such a thing to occur and be un-phased by it.
'Close your mouths, you idiots! You are all getting your drool on the floor.''Huh, I was right. Sort of. I didn't actually expect them to be so direct.' The rather carefree spirit shrugged her shoulders. No longer did she care or was surprised by the visitor. A shame he couldn't stay really. Although it was probably for the best given she anticipated a complete freak out in 3, 2, 1.
'WHAT THE HELL??!!!!!' A strong gust of wind blew through the mind space room as the wind spirit unleashed his anger and confusion. Board games and score sheets flew everywhere, as did all of the furniture that was placed inside the mind space and could make someone question how on earthland that was possible. Answer: magic! The spirit had been dressed as a sort of ninja, so naturally drawing a quick conclusion he had connected it to Kaori. She was a ninja styled mage while also being a summoner. That paired with having ties with Samira made it a reasonable guess. That timing though...was it intentional?
'That's it! I am not going to be under some weird supervision. We're spirits, not prison inmates!''Hmph, sometime is same thing,' Skadi commented, standing quite still and calm regardless of the strong winds blowing everything around. It wasn't enough to get her to move an inch even though everyone else were at different walls in the room. Some even the ceiling. Normally she wouldn't have been so grouchy and would not have considered the current environment as a cruel prison, but she had missed her chance yet again to hit a male with a giant ice rock. Her list of targets was growing. Speaking of, an ice rock formed in her hand. She easily walked over towards Susano and proceeded to hit him over the head with it, knocking him out to fall on the ground as well as stopping the strong blowing winds.
'Wind is unnecessary. Now have to clean up.''Serqet, what are you doing?' The cat goddess incarnation asked of the scorpion tailed woman as she took a stand from her corner and noticed the other spirit was turned away and doing something. Then Serqet turned around and held up her newest and quickly made creation; a hat made out of foil with two small antenna standing up vertically in the middle.
'Ta da! A tinfoil hat for all of our paranoia needs! It'll even keep the voices in our heads out so we can be the voices in Samira's head!' She tossed the newly made hat at Bastet and then proceeded to start covering the walls with the foil. Bastet and the others could only face palm, hoping that performing some sort of exorcism for unwanted spirits wasn't next.
Back In Reality:
Samira looked up, as if she could see could actually see her mind even though she couldn't. There was quite a ruckus going on in there with her spirits. So much so that she temporarily closed the link until things had calmed down. It was a quiet walk aside from the noises of the woods around them. Eclipse Team was behind the mage duo, watching the rear and probably keeping alert. That was the assumption anyway since she couldn't hear any sort of conversation from them.
"Allies is likely the proper term," Samira replied to the question asked of her in regards to the small unit. While Kaori was her friend that didn't mean everyone that surrounded her was. The people on the team seemed nice and loyal enough, but the summoner hardly knew them personally. Only when they were assigned as some sort of escort or security did she ever see them. Still, it was a little rude for Lucius to call them "weirdos". Just as she was about to scold him for it laughter erupted from all over the surrounding area. Eclipse had moved in closer and attempted to find the source, but the only thing they had found was a shadow in the shape of a little girl that soon consumed Eagle. Naturally the members were upset, one more than any as he seemed to let his emotions overrule his senses. Then she heard it; the label of "Cap's girlfriend." Honestly, where did people get that sort of idea? As far as she knew certain events had been kept a secret and Kaori wasn't really one to spread that sort of information. Her palm met her forehead as the ongoing battle of misunderstandings continued.
The group continued onward. Samira was a bit worried for the missing member, but on the outside she remained composed and un-phased. It was likely they would find Eagle if they found the child. An abandoned guild hall within the village area stood in their way and the squeaky sounds of the playground made the scene look all the more ominous. Samira nodded and gave her thanks after the scan had been complete and Ghost had given the location of the target as well as his plan to take care of whatever was ahead. The trio consisting of Bill, Lucius, and herself moved along on their own.
"Book? You mean the one I was asked to sign earlier?" She had not even thought more about it, but at least now she had some clues. Although if it was fiction there was no telling what the subject revolved around. Then Lucius had inquired further, going so far as to congratulate her and ask who was the lucky man as if she were engaged or something. Her cheeks had taken on a pink hue from that rather embarrassing misunderstanding happening again.
"Do not think too much on it. There are apparently rumors that keep spreading that are false. I am with no one, and it is all a misunderstanding that has formed due to not all of the facts being known. I wish to keep it that way." Her tone had been calm and polite at first, but by the time it had gotten to the end it had shifted to being more firm and annoyed. She was not going to trouble herself with giving details she would rather not. The whole conversation would also not have started to begin with if certain members of a certain team had kept their mouths shut. They knew nothing and were talking and making labels as if they were facts.
Soon the trio had entered a large windowed hallway and within moments were under assault by a large number of spears coming from the windows. Lucius was quick to act, using his gravity magic to send the spears upward the moment they got close. He appeared to have gotten a bit stronger as well it seemed. The spear assault came to an end, and Samira moved out from underneath the wall of spears up above. Once the gravity spell ended it was likely they would all come down at some point. Even if the pointed end was stuck in the ceiling she still didn't trust that natural gravity would keep it up there.
"Good work, Lucius. You have gotten better since that time in the sewers." Not long after her compliment low whispers started to echo throughout the large hallway. Creepy and incoherent, but otherwise harmless. Child's play considering she had been in facilities overrun by demonic spirit clones.
"If this is all we have to worry about I wonder how this child has obtained her reputation." No doubt the random appearance of spears may had killed some people, but it was hardly something worthy of a high tier mage. Thus far, not all that much was being done to harm the group. If anything the girl was toying with them.
The hallway had ended in a double stairway that led to the second floor. Samira climbed the steps, attempting to take the lead but would not stop the other two if they preferred it themselves. She was the more powerful one there where rank was concerned so she felt obligated to do so. The last set of stairs led into an even darker hallway with no windows but instead doors that led to many rooms. Most of them were closed, but a few had been opened, either due to the door being pushed inward or from being broken off completely. The summoner walked silently and dared look into one of the rooms out of curiosity. What she saw nearly made her jump right out of her skin immediately. There, lying in a rocking chair, was a creepy looking porcelain doll. A complete and total nightmare! She looked away from the room, ignoring that nervous fear building up inside, and continued on. Then the sounds of small clacks upon the floor could be heard before the door she had just looked in a moment before closed. She was so not going to go check that out. No way. Further on were more dolls laying around. Some were broken, while others were in various positions within the hallway and open rooms. All the while she could hear high pitched voices whispering and the small clacking sounds of small doll shoes walking on the floor. More playing around. Yes, that's what that was. No real dolls actually coming to life. None. At. All. Then a doll fell from the ceiling right on Samira. Well really it had fallen off a bookshelf that was in the hallway for some reason, but it was surprising all the same! The summoner yelped before grabbing the thing and tossing it aside. Without hesitation, she reached down to her keychain and quickly pulled out a key.
“Open, gate of the Avatar, God of Fire! Agni!”The two headed fire spirit appeared from the now open gateway, looking a bit disappointed that he had been summoned before his book hunt was over. Before he could even say hello to Lucius and Bill, Samira had been pointing at the doll that had been tossed with a rather hysterical and demanding expression on her face.
"Burn it!""Uh...what? It's a doll.""I am aware of that! Now burn it! Burn them all!""Look, Samira, you really should get over this doll thing." Agni told her with a concerned look on both of his heads. He knelt down and picked up the curly haired thing and held it out to her.
"See? Harmless!" The spirit turned it around to get a better look at it and even held it closer to his face.
"It's actually kind of..." Agni stopped his sentence as the doll he held pulled out a needle from its pocket and stabbed his hand. His eyes went wide and he instantly dropped the thing, not before setting it on fire though.
"OHMYGOD IT'S ALIVE!" Summoner and spirit both watched as the firey doll ran around in circles screaming before finally succumbing to its inevitable fate. The creaks of opening doors echoed through the halls, even the ones they had already passed. No doubt more of those things were coming. Summoner and spirit took off, leaving Lucius and Bill behind if they were still at the rear.
"I didn't sign up for this! Send me back!" "No! I need you to burn them for me!""You could have done this yourself without summoning me here!"The yells of the two arguing could be heard as they ran through the hall, and the light from the flames used to burn whatever dolls they came into contact with could be seen. They did not stop until they had reached the staircase leading to the next floor. Yep, true Lamia Scale Guild Ace quality.
