Making his way back up the mountain ranges he used to play in as a child was fun. Every detail, every rock. He knew it. Even certain caves, he knew there were bears in. The thick woods and air reminded him of home the closer he got to it. Eventually, he passed a few people on his way up the range. He was carrying nothing but a travelers pack and himself. Rose elected to stay behind at the guild to help Sorano with paperwork as usual. Sometimes he wondered if those two got off on it or something. But he couldn't help but to love them both in their own ways.
Soon the road got more packed, and was bustling literally with people and wagons back and forth. Haru even began saying "hi" and "excuse me" to people as he made his way through the crowded road. Up ahead, a drawbridge as the forest broke into a huge city across from the bridge suspended over a huge canyon below.
Mountain Village. In the background, a city built on the tallest mountains in Midi fashion. His home, where he'd been raised, schooled, and grew up before running off to Fairy Tail months ago. Founded by the Fire King, a mage and past wizard saint and close friend of his families. In fact, he carried this man with him everywhere he went, as his middle name was in fact "Ardere" a nod from his mother to her Uncle figure and mentor. While he'd never met the man himself, as he'd been born during Infinity Hydra's last days; he always had looked up to him and the various bits of information he got from the town itself, and from the townspeople on him.
As he moved through Mountain Village people literally yelled at him from their houses. His neighbors, some of which had kids too around his age who he'd grown up with. Coming down to play from Terra Ignis with them from time to time. He smiled a rare smile at this as he waved back and socialized a little with those he knew well from his childhood.
As he made it to what some called the Steps of Fire, a wrapping staircase up a singular mountain to the city of Terra Ignis high above. He got nervous as hell. His mother was waiting for him up there. He didn't know whether he should continue or press onward. Deciding he couldn't stay away from home any longer, not being so close; he stepped one foot forward and began to walk upward on the stairs, up, up, and up he went.
"Here goes nothing." he said as he shrugged his bag and gripped it tighter with both hands as he stepped.
