- Alchemical tattoos rest on the palm of each hand. On each hand is a triangle inscribed in a circle with alchemical symbols in the center of each- the sun symbol on the right and the moon symbol on the left. Around the main alchemical circle is smaller runes. Besides that, he has a photographic memory which allows him to recall information or visual images with great detail. When in a psychotic episode Valamir will become more animalistic in appearance: with his pupils constricting and limbus darkening, and his canines becoming more pronounced when smiling.
Personality:
- Out of battle: Valamir tends to be a wolf in sheep’s clothing and he does holds some belief that would be consider unacceptable to the social norm. For the most part he seems to be a likable guy, mannerly, seemingly cool and collected. If he accidentally knocks someone down he will take the time to help them, and if one of his comrades has fallen on the ground he may help them. Some people may find him to be a little disturbing or a little odd due to his shrewd and confident demeanor, a trait which at the same time attracts people to him. Despite this he is considered oddly charming, and an excellent host, who loves to put on many extravagant dinner parties for his friends. Valamir was known to have possess a genius level intelligence which was contributed to his photo graphic memory, which allows him to recall almost any information. Furthermore, he was an expert rhetorician and could argue his view point well enough to silence most naysayers. At a young age he was naturally able to recognize the flow of alchemical energies, and for this reason he was taken into the village’s alchemist apprentice ship. Even at this time Valamir showed remarkable talent for the manipulating others, and he manipulated his mentor into teaching him some of the more destructive techniques of alchemy. Later he would become an analyst of human nature and an avid philosopher, and throughout his life he was driven by the concept of ‘survival of the fittest’ and even a little in ‘Manner maketh manners’. Another ideology that he firmly believes in is the laws of cause and effect, and fully acknowledges the fact that one day he will become subjected to this law. Being someone who is easily driven to boredom Valamir left his apprenticeship and joined the rune knights when he was of age. Valamir was feared among his peers for his savage and cruel methods, which was often describe as destructive and merciless. He would often remind his comrades that they were soldiers and as such their job was to bring forth death and mayhem. Valamir had a dark and twisted sense of humor that only he would find to be amusing. At the time he would carry out his missions without any remorse for the lives that were affected or lost while he was carrying out his mission. Oddly enough it should be noted that Valamir held a twisted sense of justice and loved to punish people whom he considered indecent.
- In battle: In tune with his belief of ‘survival of the fittest’ and ‘the laws of cause and effect’, Valamir views combat to be the ultimate test to determine if one is suited to survive. If someone does not survive the confrontation or shows weakness within the battle, then they obviously do not deserve to continue living, and should be wiped out. Even his own life is accountable to this rule and he actively seeks out danger to challenge himself, just to prove that he is someone worthy of life. At the same time, he recognizes that many people many not agree with this point of view, and thus would save comrades that he is tasked with working with or protecting. In rare cases he would show mercy when people show strong willpower and conviction, or when he owes his life to someone else. When he fights he does so with a tactical mind and would spend a moment or two gathering information before going on the offensive. In the case that Valamir enters battle without any preparation or prior knowledge, he would treat his opponent with caution and quietly analyze his opponent’s movements and techniques. During this time, he would commonly keep to defensive techniques, and only use offensive techniques to probe opponent. Once he has a decent gauge on their techniques and skills Valamir would either probe them while waiting for a weakness, or attempt to overwhelm them with a bombardment of explosions. However, he prefers to enter into combat with some preparation and truly does believe that knowledge is power. Preparation can come into two forms one, stalking his opponent for days if not weeks and then carefully setting a trap for his victim. The second form is similar to the first one, but simply involves plotting out the battle a day before, setting traps, and then luring his victims into those traps. In both situations he uses his surroundings to his advantage, and overwhelming his opponents. Valamir can commonly be seen laughing like a maniac in battle, and he can enter a ‘battle high’. Which can cause him to become reckless and clumsy.
Likes
- Cooking: He was considered to be a excellent cook, who would create exotic meals for his friends. Whenever he gets the chance Valamir would take time to learn new recipes and try new food. Cooking was something he learned under the apprenticeship of his town’s alchemist, and something he has loved ever since then.
- Classical Music: Something which he developed a love for during his childhood: seeing that his master wouldn’t listen to nothing else. When cooking he would commonly listen to classical music, and he would even create explosions based off of certain songs.
- Destruction/Explosions: There is nothing more exciting then hearing the sounds of his explosions, and seeing the destruction left behind. He considers his explosive technique and the destruction caused by it to be the highest form of art, and constantly seeks to perfect it.
Dislikes
- Rudeness: He considers rudeness to be extremely hideous and find those who are rude to be primitive. When in a good mood he may let some rudeness slid but don’t push him buttons. Constant rudeness can anger him and cause him to act out on impulse, or forcefully correct that ill-fitted behavior.
- Indecent People: This can be people who are unsavory criminals that preform disgusting crimes, in which he would be more than happy to dispose of. Or this can be people who dress in indecent manner and express no taste whatsoever. His intolerance can very from people to people but he usually controls himself.
- Indefinite Answers: He doesn’t like it when people gives him indefinite answers and finds it annoying when people gives him a ‘maybe’ on important questions. Giving him an indefinite answer will drive him mad and well he would find some way to get a definite answer from them, either by the use of force, or by the use of manipulation.
Motivations
- Thrill: Admittedly a little bit of an adrenaline jockey himself, Valamir is always seeking some to avoid boredom and add excitement within his life. Usually he finds thrill within the most dangerous of activates such as combat or something life threatening. Basically he doesn't like to be in a constant state of boredom, and will do anything in order to avoid it.
- Aesthetics: To clarify things he wishes to not only orchestrate the perfect explosive theme and thus achieve his master piece. But the man reason why he does anything is in order to experience the beauty within it and admire it, the fact that it is coming from his hands is only a bonus. So this motivation can be applied to his explosions, to his cooking, and well to everything that he does.
- Observation: Above his desire to find excitement within his life and his aesthetic desires, Valamir primary motivation is to observe how the world evolves. He takes pleasure in determining whether the will and/or strength of one person or party is capable of overpowering another. Believing that the greatest changes go with the greatest troubles.
Fears/Phobias
- Loosing Inspiration: He considers himself to be an artist and his alchemical induce explosions are his artistic creations. Without finding inspiration within the destruction of buildings, the screaming of millions, and the smell of gunpowder: Valamir would find himself in a state of permanent boredom. Something which he doesn't want to experience.
- Constant Boredom: Valamir is a man who is constantly seeking some form of excitement, something to keep him occupied, or something entertaining. Boredom is something that he cannot stand and must avoid at all times, for Valamir is someone who is constantly in motion. To him boredom is a fate worst than death.
- A stupid death: In truth Valamir doesn’t fear death in of itself, after all it a natural part of the world. Instead he fears that he would die in such a stupid manner that it would prove that his years of survival was pointless. He does not want to die because of some sort of stupid reason or by a stupid person, that would be embarrassing. If he dies he wants it to either be because of a good battle or from old age.
