Akryn let out a low growl of frustration as he marched through the streets of Tolgalen, his sword on his hip but his massive shield no where to be seen. After his last job the shield had been damaged, a dent in its nearly impervious face, and he had had to send it off to be repaired. Due to its rare material, and its insane weight, few black smiths could work it back to perfection, and none of them lived in the new little kingdom he now called home. Still, it could be worse, at least he had reunited with his long time partner, the particularly cold and calculating dragon slayer, Akeya. Or at least, that was the way the rest of the world viewed the dragon who even now was hiding in his shadow. He had grown accustomed to her behavior by now and had learned to read her, at least as well as someone could ever hope to do. She was far from as cold and heartless as she acted.

"Alright then Akeya, welcome to the island, if you can call it that. Population, too many rich and greedy bastards and not nearly enough people to fight. Oh, and the guild." He said out loud, seemingly to the air. Several passerby took a moment to eye the strange, giant of a man who was speaking to himself, but no one would dare question someone of his size, especially not when they bore the mark of the ruling guild, the trading company. Fallng out of good graces with the could cost a merchant his right to trade on the island, a most lucrative location, and so the many merchants and workers happly tolerated all sorts of oddities.

Post by Akeya 8th February 2018, 4:12 pm

A whole island... A curious idea. Blue Pegasus had been situated on an island, but it hadn't been in charge of it. It had been a single group amongst many. Here it seemed like the trader's guild was the one with the power over the entire area, and under the surface it was a disguised guild for mages who, if Akryn's description was to be believed, didn't have much interest in being stuck working for the benefit of Fiore but also didn't want to be seen as nothing more than murderers and criminals. The way Akryn talked about it the guild Black Sails also put a lot more importance into cohesiveness and working together, with very strict penalties for anyone who caused trouble for the guild or brought misfortune upon one of their fellow guild members. Like the traders company that acted as their 'positive' face they wouldn't tolerate questionable behaviour.

For Akeya this had both downsides and benefits, the shadow dragoness hidden in Akryn's shadow as he led her towards the guild to be officially enlisted. She would be amongst the first to admit that she wasn't the best at playing nice with others: while she was willing to work together as the situation required she didn't have the right personality to be an enthusiastic team player, and beyond that her set of ethics was rather harsh and focused on pragmatism to the point where many others would call it excess... Which meant that if she was working with others she could end up thinking of plans on how to use them as unwilling bait or sacrifices to best achieve the actual goal. She always dismissed those ideas because the short term benefits pretty much never justified the long term costs (as a Rising Star getting partners killed was very bad for your reputation), but they remained in her mind.

However despite her personality not being the best for getting along with people she had put a lot of effort in gaining enough self control that if she had to work together with someone she wouldn't do something stupid or harmful out of frustration. It wasn't perfect, but she was pretty sure that she was actually safer for her partner than a lot of mages out there. And beyond that there was the fact that if you were part of a guild you had a reliable home to return to when necessary, and if push really came to shove there was a group of people willing to watch your back as long as you didn't betray them or their code. That and since this guild in particular already put a lot of effort into disguising, deceiving and hiding one assassin would be easily overlooked.

But first she'd have to be accepted. Akryn was willing to take the risk bringing her here, but a guild with such extensive security measures wasn't going to accept just anyone. If it were tests she could probably handle them, but... There were alternate options. There wasn't a lot she could do about any of that at this point except adapt to the circumstances.

Akryn showed no hesitation speaking openly to her despite her hidden status, the dragoness raising her eyebrows as she noted that the people around were giving him stares. It looked like Akryn didn't care what they thought, and nobody felt like reacting to the giant of a man acting like a crazy person. Still, Akeya would have to reply, even though she didn't want to reveal herself...

As nothing more than a shadow she slipped through Akryn's clothes, sliding up his back before popping out of his collar right as she changed her shape into that of a grey rat. Sitting on his shoulder she looked around, imitating the mannerisms of an actual rat. Together with how she had revealed herself anyone who noticed her and who wasn't already suspicious to begin with would think she was just a rat. While her rat-self looked around with beady eyes she whispered loud enough for only Akryn to hear.

"I don't remember there ever being enough people for you to fight." She replied as blankly as she could while being a rat. Akryn wasn't necessarily a restless warmonger but his desire to spar and fight was strong enough that from him that sentence could mean that one in every four people on the island was ready to punch your lights out. "Let's head for the people in charge for now. I can go sightseeing after we've handled that, and the longer I'm on the island without the permission of the higher ups the more likely they are to be suspicious of me." One thing about a guild where everyone disguised themselves was that it was a near certainty that the members wouldn't be quick to trust. After all, if all your allies wore a mask, how could you believe that other people didn't?

"If I am vouching for you then you will be fine. Besides, we get plenty of foreigners on the island for a variety of reasons. As long as you aren't breaking the rules you could strut down main street and be mostly unbothered." he replied to her, as he stared down a passing merchant who had stopped to stare curiously at him, promptly sending the shorter merchant scurrying away with a new sense of purpose. Aryn liked his reputation on the island as such a large and frightening person, it kept people at a distance from the mostly anti social individual.

He had to admit though, Akeya was right. He had brought her along to get her inducted properly into the guild, and the longer they put it off the less likely it would be that they would catch Cirven in his office. With that thought Akryn turned down the main street and started making his way towards the guild, the crowds parting before him as he made his way. "Oh, I should warn you, the guild has a sort of.....dress code. They like their white colored outfits." He grumbled, glancing down at his black armor and red cape. This was his preferred look, and color scheme, and he all but despised the bright display the guild put on. It was a necessity though, and a necessity he had to admit would entertain him. "So, tell me shadow dragon, how are you you gonna look in a white outfit?" he asked teasingly, shoving open the guild doors and stepping inside, the little shadow rat sitting on his shoulder.

Yona had had her arm lifted, ready to practically punch through the main guild doors on her way to storm outside of the building. She was beyond heated, feeling pernicious, ready for a fight, and downright furious. She had done everything they had asked of her. She had finally made the switch to the impractical white clothing, for them. She had even started to watch her mouth a little more often, being careful around the VPs and even more so around potential clientele. Yona had even shown herself to be a hard-worker for the guild, doing measly boring jobs like farming in a random field. How had everything she had done to change herself, not been enough? Yona knew that Ruvel had the ability to allow her to relive the memories from her childhood fire. And she needed those memories to glean information on the man she wanted to pursue. Yona had gone right to the top, asking Cirven to make Ruvel do this for her and he blew her off, talking about how he was 'currently preoccupied'. He wouldn't even give her the time of day.

Enflamed, the green haired woman had stormed down the halls, out of Cirven's office with a slam of his door, and towards the doors, ready to just blow past them and sit outside. Maybe somewhere near the sea where Yona could let the waves soothe her. Maybe she would jump into the sea and literally cool off. Still, she wasn't in the mood to be soothed and having gone to push open the door in haste, the emerald eyed woman hadn't reacted in time to slow or stop her actions: her lifted arm and open palm had bludgeoned into the chest of the large man who had opened the door and stepped just inside. The force with which she had run into him should have knocked him off balance, possibly even knocked him over, but it was her own momentum that was her demise.

Yona hit the man like a stone wall and fell backwards, stunned and tripping over her feet in surprise before colliding with the floor. She looked up at him slackjawed for a single moment, noting a rat on his shoulder. The man was huge and she was, upon actually taking the sight of him in, no longer surprise that she had not stormed through the man and simply bounced off. Her legs, adorned in knee high white boots were bent as she started to get up. Yona wore the full white uniform: cropped and loose tank top, short shorts, and a too-big pearly white coat with baggy sleeves and shiny buttons. The coat splayed around her like a halo but her sharp voice shot upwards at the weirdly tall man and his rat.

"Watch where you're going, oaf! And stop bringing vermin in, we don't need no problem with rats!" Her words were thoughtless, her anger at the guild was spilling out of her mouth without any form of filter. She just felt the need to establish herself as the victim in the stranger's wrong doing and snapping at him gave her little relief. It was his fault he got in her way, after all.

At first Akryn was surprised by the shorter womans sudden appearance, and subsequent collision with his large frame. Very few people could move him without serious effort, and so he was not surprised she had fallen, only that she had been there at all. He had actually been on the verge of offering her a hand to help her up and be civilized, until she began to speak, and the tone and words hit him, causing the giant to frown deeply down at her. "Excuse you?" He started, his deep voice a menacing growl as he stepped closer to her, his wide shoulders and long cape blocking the sunlight from outside. one hand coming to rest lazily on the hilt of his sword, the other hand hooking a thumb in his belt and hanging, as he offered to her an impressive glare of disdain. "First of all, girl, it was you who carelessly collided with me. It is hardly my fault that your own lack of caution ended with you on your ass. Secondly, if you call my friend here Vermin again, I shall tear out your tongue and feed it to the dogs. This 'vermin' has more experience and wisdom than you should hope to have if you live half as long as she will! Now I demand an apology, at once, for your rude behavior. I will not stand for such brash and childish behavior." He lectured to her, a deep frown on his face. He had been told when he had joined that he needed to play nice with the others, but he was a very proud man, who happened to be in a very sour mood himself this day. He would not stand for it!

Post by Akeya 21st February 2018, 4:00 pm

"I do not inspire much trust in people. Your vouching for me can be sufficient, but I'd rather not put it to the test." Of course Akryn had a point that they weren't going to attack on sight, but Akeya lived by the rule that caution was always better than taking things for granted. Taking things for granted was what got you killed in the long run. Besides, it wasn't like the island was going to change drastically in between now and the time it would most likely take to get enlisted. They could afford to prioritize the enlistment.

Akryn meanwhile was making it clear that he had given himself the reputation of a big scary man, which she assumed mostly worked on the visitors and the tourists. While mage guilds were meant to mostly be a form of employment for the mages many guilds promoted unity between those mages, and it was difficult to intimidate someone you were familiar with unless your familiarity was entirely built upon that intimidating presence. Then again, no telling how good these people were at making friends with the djinn... He wasn't quite as fond of his privacy as the dragoness herself, but he still wasn't what she would call a people person, even if his motivations were completely different from her own.

As they walked towards the guild the rat looked around, taking in the sights while keeping herself under the guise of a completely normal rat. As a pet rat it'd make sense that she'd stick on Akryn's shoulder even as she looked everyone, moving her snout as if trying to taste the air, something which she was, in fact, doing. She might be no animal but her sense of smell was still good enough that she wanted to get familiar with the scents around here. There was of course the salt of the sea, and a fainter smell for the many rocks... and a mix of scents from various people wandering about here, along with wood for the buildings. She wasn't too good at distinguishing between different types of rock or wood yet... Was tricky to get the opportunity to practice that sort of thing.

When Akryn warned her that the guild had a dress code Akeya suppressed her desire to shrug, since shrugging wasn't something rats were known to do. However she did whisper something in his ear. "I'll figure something out." Granted Akeya wasn't very fond of bright colours, but as a shapeshifter she couldn't exactly become picky about something like that. It would be too impractical to refuse to take on certain colours just because she didn't like them herself, and one thing about being a shapeshifter for a prolonged period of time was that you became less nervous about what you looked like. Of course, that was the case for those for whom shapeshifting came without drawbacks... Those whose shapeshifting had stricter limits attached weren't quite as relaxed about their appearance.

Looking up at the large doors which functioned as the entrance to the guild Akeya was about to say something to Akryn when the doors burst open and someone charged straight into Akryn, leading the rat to wince slightly as she was well aware how well that worked for most people. And indeed the woman fell back onto the ground, Akryn barely even budging as his large frame made him act more like a boulder than a person at times. Fortunately he had learned to not take too much advantage of it when dealing with those who were supposed to be his allies: when he was a bit younger he sometimes had a habit of getting too reckless.

Unfortunately it looked like this time he wouldn't be able to control his temper, as the woman began to yell at him and the djinn bristled in offence before replying. The rat resisted the urge to sigh as she saw this develop, instead studying the woman closely. A mage, one who most likely was part of the guild if her white outfit was any indication. Being called vermin didn't matter too much in this situation since she had of her own will taken the form of a rat, but she'd have to prevent this turning into a full blown fight. Many people might shrink back when a giant like Akryn was angry at them, but mages tended to be made of sterner stuff and this one didn't look like she was in the mood to defuse the situation. If her entrance into the guild was accompanied by a fight it'd make a bad impression, even if it wasn't her fault...

Well, time to see if she could get the two to stop fighting. Since she was an outsider simply asking them wouldn't do much: even if Akryn might listen he'd still be offended, and this mage didn't know Akeya at all which, combined with Akeya not being the most social of people in the first place, meant her persuasive power wasn't all that high with her. So she'd have to throw them both off balance and then remind them that fighting in front of the guild would be a bad idea. Of course if she tried to force the situation it could still cause trouble for her, but it was better than watching the two potentially come to blows.

It was a good thing that the rat already had a dark form, so she could use a shadow illusion to make it look like the rat was still on Akryn's shoulder while she herself slid down his back, turning herself into another shadow which joined Akryn's and then smoothly linked with Yona's as well. Since the two were focused on one another they shouldn't notice her careful moves until she was ready to act. Concentrate on the form she would take... Akryn told her that a white outfit would be preferred, but beyond that she'd have to do something fitting the scenario... Akryn had accidentally told Yona that the rat had wisdom and experience, which gave away that the rat wasn't normal if the woman took it seriously but could be used to Akeya's advantage here...

While Akryn and Yona were arguing with one another suddenly a subtle slithering could be heard around their legs, and one quick look down would show that they both had their legs wrapped up in large, blue-scaled coils which then suddenly pulled so both djinn and nature mage were thrown off balance, more blue coils catching the two of them so they landed gently while above them another figure arose, crossing her arms and looking somewhat disappointed as she folded her arms and looked down at Akryn with a slight pout.

    Appearance:

"Akryn... You told me you'd control yourself as long as we were here. Didn't we want to make a good impression?" She had made her voice sound a bit younger and gentle than her usual cold voice, matching her current appearance as she looked at the djinn a bit longer before turning to the nature mage, using her coils to carefully push her back onto her feet.

"I'm sorry for tripping you, but I feared that if I didn't distract the both of you a fight might have broken out, and since we're on the footsteps of a great company that might have caused trouble for all of us. I hope you weren't injured." While Akeya wasn't very social herself she did know how to imitate a social person at least for a short period of time, as she gave Yona an apologetic smile before turning around and pulling Akryn up with her long coils as well, although her nearly endlessly long tail still surrounded the two of them as she kept her arms folded. "Now, can all three of us agree to behave? Akryn and I are in a bit of a hurry, so if we just put this behind us I think it'd be better for all of us... Since you looked like you were in a hurry as well." She added the last part subtly in the hope of distracting Yona from the current situation.

Yona felt her jaw shake as she wrestled with her anger. She was as prideful as the man in front of her, and none too willing to hold back her emotions. She had already been angry, and now she had someone to unleash it on. He frowned down at her, talking to her like she was beneath him. He threatened her, daring to speak on removing her tongue and feed it to dogs. And then, the nerve of the male!- he demanded an apology. How did anybody ever expect an apology when they threatened and put them down first? And how dare he insult her intelligence by comparing her to a dumb rodent? Like Yona would ever lower herself, lose her dignity by taking this kind of thing from an utter stranger!?

Yona had leapt to her feet, shoving a finger up at the tall man's chin and shouting recklessly, unconcerned if Cirven or Ruvel or anyone heard her doing so. "You can take your higher-than-thou attitude and shove it up your behind!" She curled her fingers into fists, shaking it at him fiercely, her bright green eyes shooting metaphoric fire at the larger male. "And if you want to rip my tongue out- ohohoho, I would love to see you try. I might be small but I can knock you upside your idiot head and--" As Yona went on shouting, threatening and otherwise insulting in a pursuit of aggressive dominance (showing she was the "alpha") the female had not noticed the shadow which was once a rat moving about.

She hadn't much noticed the rat other than to simply spit out words in the first place, uncaring if they had real meaning or not. There was no ill intention towards the animal of course, the woman had just been bitter and angry enough to take it out on the guy she crashed into. Yona licked her lips taking barely a breath, deciding what to shout out next, and was interrupted. With the sudden sensation of being taken off her feet, her eyes widened momentarily. She observed, practically helpless, as she fell and was caught by blue coils. A female appeared with a softened face, though she appeared to be unhappy with the male. As the disappointed woman chided the man, Yona felt mildly relieved, going quiet. The woman had ingratiated herself with Yona by reprimanding him. Yona believed he deserved much more and her anger had not dissipated, but for the moment, she gave pause to allow the female to say her piece.

By the time the strange female had turned her gaze to Yona, her voice had a gentle tone to it, further putting Yona at ease. She asked if Yona was all right, and assured her that she had meant no serious harm. She also brought up a good point that Cirven was probably going to be very unhappy with her if she chose to start a fight with another member. That didn't mean she wouldn't or that she didn't still want a fight, but the stranger with blue coils had given her a little perspective. Yona curled her upper lip in distaste, looking back at the man. "I think she's right. I can always deal with the lowlifes and riffraff off guild property. And you can expect that I will," She narrowed her eyes, "But for now, well." She shrugged and looked back at the woman. "I don't know who you guys are, but its a good thing you took control of the situation. Next time, you might think about getting a leash for him." Yona offered her a friendly smile, but who knew if she was joking or if she were serious. What was obvious was that Yona wasn't going to suddenly lash out physically towards either of them. She considered in her mind, rolling it around in her head, of telling the woman who was on her way to see Cirven presumably that the guild leader was a real piece of work. Yona was still upset with him for blowing her off but she decided not to smear the man's name when he wasn't even around to defend himself of it.

"WHAT!?" The voice of the devil echoed down the halls around his office. He had jumped up from his seat with a face that was covered in surprise and then he looked down to the floor as if his mind was running over any plans he could come up with. "Alisha,
I need you to go to the docks ahead of me and make sure they do not get off of them. We cannot afford them to get any deeper into the country. Not yet at least. I'd go myself but that might end up badly with who they are. We need to approach this the right way.
" Alisha stood in front of the CEO and nodded. She was the one who had brought him the information that sent him into thinking deeply over a plan. "Looks like the old man is stuck doing most of the paper work again. Man... We really need to get a group of people for this stuff, huh?" He grinned as he looked over the pile that was building up over his desk that he now had to have sent to Johann to handle. With her orders given to her Alisha shook her head with a smile on it and started to leave. "One of these days you will have to do it all yourself and know our 'joy' of working." She walked out of the office and moved quickly through the building to the docks.

The devil was busy getting his thoughts together and figuring out a plan when Yona came in and basically ordered him to tell Ruvel to do something completely selfish for her. He didn't have any time to deal with her request, well more of her order to him and instead quickly sent her out saying 'I am busy with something important right now, sorry. I will help you later'. She did not take it well at all and rushed out of his office and slammed his door which caused his thoughts to be polluted by what she had just done. The idea of how selfish and arrogant she could be was causing him to not be able to focus on the task at hand so much so that he went after her to reprimand her for how she was acting so childish. He didn't do this in any regular fashion though and instead he followed her by jumping into shadow to shadow. This lead him down through the building and to the entrance where he watched from the shadows as both Yona and Akryn started to bad mouth each other and got close to fighting each other; something he would have jumped in to stop but was stopped by the sudden arrival of the dragon-like woman who he did not completely recognize but he quickly knew who it was by just how she looked and the random rat on Akryn's shoulder that he spoke so highly of.

"Akryn. Yona." Cirven's voice spoke out as his body formed out of the shadows near the double doors that made up the entrance of the building. "You are both lucky that the female dragon stepped in when she did. It was going to give me an excuse to punish both of you for not acting like proper members on premises. Now I only need to do so to one of you for being such." An orange glint came over the devil's eyes as he focused on the area the three were in as he cast his spell over Yona. It allowed him to see her mind a bit and dig into it to find a dark memory which he could use his illusion spell to pull out for her to see but he found something else from the minds of Akeya and Akryn. Akryn had told the dragon woman about Black Sails, something that only he and his chosen VPs could only do. Something they had the only right to do. "Never mind. Looks like the Djinn actually did something deserving of my punishment..." The entire area around Cirven and the other three would become enveloped in a dark mist quickly, leaving the orange glint in the devil's eyes to be seen again. The mist was more like a coating of complete darkness that the three would find themselves completely stripped of their ability to see and hear.

Yona would suddenly see flames light up around her with the familiar smell of burning wood around her. Before she could investigate into things, a small ball of flames would move towards her from the fire. "Sister... Why did you let me die...? Why did you not protect me...?" The voice of her younger brother would come out from the ball of fire that she would be able to make out was a burning body. Her brother's hand would reach out to her trying to touch her.

Akryn would suddenly feel the sharpness of something tear through his neck. No pain would be felt but an uncomfortable feeling would be felt by the Djinn. As if he was not himself completely. The grip of a hand on the top of his head would come over him and he'd not be able to feel his arms or any part of his lower body. If he looked down he would see that his lower half was missing and would safely be able to assume that he was simply a head being held up by someone. "Akryn." The devil's voice would speak out from behind Akryn's head, seemingly sounding like the one holding his head up. Akryn could only stare out at the darkness and listen to the words spoken to him. "There are things you do and don't do in the guild. You help your companions, you do jobs to make yourself and the company more jewel, you get stronger and in turn make the company stronger. Those are some do's. The don'ts are a bit different. You don't fight with your fellow members and find ways of getting along, you don't kill unless needed and you don't ever speak of Black Sails to those who aren't Black Sails unless you have that right. That last one is the biggest betrayal you can do, you know? So big that..." Cirven's words were almost passed outward to someone else as a familiar voice took over. "...I will be taking you home." Akryn's father would suddenly appear from out of the darkness and speak to his son who could not get away from him. His father's hands would reach out to him where they were about to touch him when suddenly the darkness was sucked away and he was back in the grasp of Akeya with Yona. Yona would also be pulled out of her illusion before her brother could touch her. Akeya would not be shown anything for the short time she was in the darkness but she could have possibly noticed the reactions from the other two as they were trapped in an illusion.

"Yona, you need to not be so brash with what you do. It will only end in repeats of your past if you don't think things through enough. Might even end up worse. Akryn, you know what you did and you know what the consequence would be next time. Take this as your last warning-" Cirven's last words were cut off by a loud voice yelling out. "CIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIRRRRRRRRRVVVVVYYYYY!~" The feminine voice caused the devil's eyes to widen as he looked over and saw a woman in a purple dress rushing towards him as her magic power was erupting around her and ripping the ground up and blowing away anything around her as she charged towards him with her arms held open. "Damn it, Alisha!" Cirven quickly put out a barrier of black electricity out around him and the others as the girl jumped into the air and slammed into the barrier around them causing an explosion of the magical powers connected with each other to be sent out which shattered the WFTC HQ's windows and damages other parts of it. The girl bounced off of the barrier and put on a face with puffed out cheeks. "Cirvy, why did you not let me hug you?" Cirven sighed at the woman. "Because you would have literally blown me up with that, Erliza! You lost control of your magic power as usual! I was trying to meet you at the docks after you calmed down a bit with Alisha talking to you!" He yelled at the woman. With the woman closer the others could see she had pointed ears like Cirven and her eyes were similar to Cirven's as well as her hair. "You mean the cow you sent to talk to me? I beat her up and my men on the ship put her in the brig we have.
She made it sound like she was yours so I naturally had to hurt her and put her away so I can deal with her later while I went to find you, my love!
" The woman spoke out causing Cirven to put a hand over his face. "I sent her to talk to you and make sure you were not going to lose control around me." He spoke with his hand over his face in annoyance.

The girl seemed to not be completely listening as she noticed the other three standing near the CEO. "Wait... You wanted me to be away from you for a bit? Were you trying to hide these women from me and use that man to trick me into thinking you were not doing anything with them?!" A magical power built up over the girl's body again that started to destroy the area around her. "I will kill them both!"

Akryn would raise an eyebrow at Yona as she began to snap back at him, the frown on his face deepening. Before he could respond to the petulant young woman though his legs would be squeezed by a set of powerful, blue scaled coils, causing him to stumble, quickly yanking one leg free and planting it back behind him to keep his balance, his scowl lessening as he turned to look at who had done it to him, a form new to him but easy enough to recognize, considering how long he had been with her. She admittedly had herself a good point, pointing out to both of them that they were here for a reason and reminding him as to the necessity of a good impression. "Very well, you are of course correct my dear." Akryn replied to his Lamia friend, his right hand coming up in a fist to rest over his heart and bowing his head slightly to her, meanwhile throwing a nasty look Yonas way. Theres was a fight not yet finished.

Before anything else could be said though a flash of an image came to Akryns mind, courtesy of Cirven. An image of Akryns father, a tall and muscular man very similar in appearance to Akryn, though somehow appearing younger and less damaged. The color swiftly drained away from Akryns face and sweat began to bead on his face as Akryn made an effort to draw his sword, an effort that he would succeed in doing in reality, though in his nightmare trance he would be helpless to do, if only for a moment. Once the trance ended Akryn quickly began stepping back, his long, black sword held in one hand and a glance of murderous hate being spared for Cirven for just the briefest of moments. "I don't know what that stunt was just now Cirven, but do not do that again." he growled, glaring daggers at his new guild master, his teeth grinding furiously. "Cirven, this is Akeya. Remember her? She was in the sewers with us, when you recruited me and invited me to join? I revealed little to her that she wasn't already aware of when you brought it up." Akryn spat at Cirven, obviously on edge and now even angrier than before. This foul mood was only compounded by the arrival of yet another new person, some apparently haughty woman with some sort of fascination with Cirven, making threats of violence against the females present, earning yet another sneer from Akryn. This was quickly becoming a very bad day for Akryn, and when he had bad days he tended to have others have bad days as well.

Slowly Akryn turned to face this new woman up and down, his one good eye turning a deep, blood red color as he slowly began to size her up, his nasty sword held low but ready. "And who the hell are you? Another arrogant little twat, here to pick a fight?" He asked, the wind around his feet starting to kick up and swirl. "You know, today was supposed to be a good day. I had a nice breakfast, some good coffee, was going to bring my dear friend into the guild. But no, its been one shit show after another with you arrogant bastards, and I am getting very, very frustrated with all of it." Akryn snarled, blue starting to show on his skin as his murderous intent began to show around him as a faint red mist.

Enter the Dragon Empty Re: Enter the Dragon

Post by Akeya 3rd March 2018, 11:18 pm

It looked like her plan had worked, more or less. Both the woman and Akryn appeared to realize that fighting in front of the guild's entrance would be a bad idea, and while neither of them showed much willingness to reconcile at least they agreed to leave the matter alone for now. Akeya would have been a bit happier if the two had shown themselves willing to put what happened behind them, but honestly she wasn't that eager to try and make sure the two got along to push any further than what she already got. Granted whether Akryn got on a bad footing with someone mattered little unless that person could be of use if friendly or a great threat if an enemy, but Akeya had known Akryn long enough that he'd have it a lot easier in life if he was a bit better in keeping his temper under control... And the way he and Yona took care of the current situation showed that it was still an issue of his, even though she was already pleasantly surprised that he had managed to avoid resorting to violence. If it had come to blows they'd have to deal with a lot more trouble.

Speaking of trouble it looked like, even though an actual fight had been avoided, someone had still taken notice and decided that they weren't in the mood to tolerate such hostility right in front of the entrance. As Cirven stepped out the transformed Akeya turned to face him, only letting out a small sigh to express her mild disappointment at the way both Akryn and Yona were still basically threatening one another in a more subdued tone. At least the both of them had responded positively to her, so it was still a net gain for her.

But Cirven still seemed to be none too pleased with the situation, and there was nothing Akeya could really do about that other than watch. At least he didn't out her true identity immediately, which she was grateful for even as she felt the man's magic concentrate around the green-haired woman. She relaxed her stance a bit, her coils loosening as she settled down, only for her eyes to narrow as Cirven suddenly turned his attention back to Akryn. That was bad news, and when the darkness formed around them Akeya pulled her coils back so she could move quickly and she wouldn't risk getting entangled with the ones with legs. The darkness was blocking her vision and preventing her hearing anything, which meant that either Cirven was pouring a lot of magic into it to make sure it'd block the vision even of those with the ability to see in darkness or it wasn't darkness but some kind of black gas. Either way, Akeya was forced to rely on her other senses, closing her eyes as instead she smelled the air and felt the way the magic swirled around her and flowed through the world.

The magic was spread thickly throughout the entire area, but there was a thicker concentration around Akryn and Yona. She couldn't hear what was going on and there were no special scents, but it was clear that while she was just blinded and deafened those two were receiving more than that. Although being left deprived of two of her senses was already problematic and unsettling enough, Akeya minimizing her movements and concentrating on her breathing while she waited. As long as Cirven was using magic he wouldn't be able to hide his own magic presence, so if he moved towards her she'd be able to tell... As long as she remained focused. The magic in the air was also making it harder to locate Cirven.

Once the dark mist faded away it was pretty obvious that whatever Cirven had done, it hadn't been very nice as Akryn looked ready to murder someone. He'd already been on edge because of the green-haired woman and Cirven wasn't helping, leaving Akeya to wonder what method she'd use to get things to not explode. If Akryn completely lost his temper he'd get into trouble and that'd be bad for the both of them... For now she kept a more passive role as she observed Akryn forcibly regain control over himself so he could introduce her to Cirven, shooting him a small frown as he mentioned her by name. She had been planning to keep her name hidden until they were in private, since the less people were aware of who she really was the better. Well, no use complaining about it, better to figure out how to best roll with it.

When someone else also suddenly ran up to the while surging with magic Akeya's frown deepened, her young face expressing mild concern and confusion which quickly turned into alarm as Cirven and the woman together produced enough magical force to deal some real damage to their surroundings, including the building they were all standing in front of. Going by the intensity of their magic... Akeya had to resist the very strong urge to pinch the bridge of her nose as she stood there. She was starting to lose her patience as well, especially since this last addition to the group didn't seem like someone that could be reasoned with, and her magic made it difficult to take care of her in a less friendly manner.

The tip of the dragon lamia's long tail flicked from side to side as she looked strongly concerned and somewhat offended, then gathered herself and presented a calmer appearance, if not as friendly as before Cirven and Erliza had arrived. How would she deal with all of this...

Well, first of all she had to make sure Akryn wouldn't lose his cool. By now she was having a hard time blaming him for getting annoyed, but they still couldn't afford actually going wild here. Cirven along was already strong enough that opposing him would be a very dangerous matter, and the woman was also a powerhouse. The guild moved the option of fighting from 'very inadvisable' into the 'absolutely not' category.

Trying her best to relax a bit Akeya moved over to Akryn and curled around him, several of her coils wrapping around him as she also placed her hands on his shoulders and placed her forehead against his. "Ssshhhhh.... It's all right. Just take a deep breath, close your eyes and focus on your breathing. It's fine, nothing's gone wrong that can't be fixed. Just try to take it easy, once we're done here we can find something more pleasant to do." She gave him a brief embrace before letting go, at which point she shifted and reformed until she was standing about a foot away from Akryn, her more polite and gentle demeanour disappearing even as her form returned to what could be considered her standard appearance. Piercing emerald eyes focused on Cirven and the woman called Erliza even as she folded her arms underneath her chest and folded her wings on her back.

"Now, to keep it simple: Akryn indeed told me little I didn't already know, and whatever you did to him I advise you don't do it again right now. He received the message, now focus on me instead. I'm the reason he's here to begin with." She then looked at Erliza and held up four fingers. "One, you trust the one you're so passionate about so you don't actually suspect him of cheating on you, two, you have anxiety issues and you accept that your suspicions might be unfounded when he tells you he didn't do anything, three, you're irrational and don't actually care for him, you're just obsessing over him." With each of her 'points' she folded one finger, simultaneously walking away from the other four people in case she provoked the wrath of Erliza.

Looking at the power the woman had displayed so far she was a magical powerhouse who would let her magic go on a rampage with little real control, given how Cirven was the one who kept it from actually exploding. The advantages of this were that with such raw power she was difficult to deal with, since even if Akeya might be able to sneak up on her if she got close unnoticed the only thing the woman had to do was cut loose and Akeya would already be in real danger. The downside of such raw power was that it was pretty much always very straightforward and because of that easier to deal with as long as you didn't get too close to the source. Potentially provoking the woman while moving away from Akryn and Yona would give Akeya the chance to dodge if the woman decided to attack while minimizing the chance of collateral damage.

"Four, I don't care for demons. Passion or obsession, whatever it is you feel for him isn't shared by me. You sound like someone who has little to no control over herself and I'd actually be worried for my mental health if I shared my preferences with someone like you." Akeya wasn't too experienced with this kind of personality, and honestly this was just as much her having trouble controlling her temper as her actually trying to make things better. Looking at Cirven again she shrugged. "I'm not trying to cause trouble, but I hope you won't play favourites and let her do as she wishes. She came here and immediately threatened not only me but the green-haired one as well."

Post by Zincarla 4th March 2018, 11:13 am

As Yona stood there besides Akeya and Akryn, her anger leveled out to a dull edge. By the looks Akryn had given her, she could see he agreed tacitly upon a fight with her where they would not be interrupted or scolded. That was at least one thing that they agreed on. A voice carried out from the shadows, stern and low in tone enough to suggest the air of disapproval to say the least and Yona turned her pale face to see Cirven emerging from the shadows. What was it with shadows today- as if no shadow could be trusted! Though, it was weird to expect anything natural in the guild in the first place. He only said her name and Akryn's at first, implying the female was a dragon whose actions were done well because a fight was not appropriate in the guild entryway.

Yona frowned as Cirven seemed to speak directly to her, insinuating that she was deserving of some form of punishment. "Yeah sure, punish the small innocent girl when this oaf is clearly at fault. Why am I not surprised that this is what you would do? Punish even before asking what ha--" Her voice was cut off as Cirven continued on, the green haired female allowing her own words to fall into background grumbling. He was the guild leader and she had to at least let him speak. The darkness filled the surrounding area quickly and for a minute, Yona's body locked up in primal fear-- needing to see and hear to be able to protect herself. She wasn't afraid of the dark, but she was not fond of the man keeping her literally in the dark for his admonishment. Dread surfaced in her mind and she practically felt the oncoming punishment- whatever it was. Yona couldn't see or hear, lifting her hands to wave them around seemed ridiculous and she even wondered if she had lifted her hands. She couldn't see them and couldn't actually pinpoint their location in the shroud of black gloom.

A bright light made her flinch for a moment, closing her eyes to the sharp contrast of fire in this dark world. Yona's  hair stood up on her arms and she swallowed as she opened her eyes back up, smelling the burning wood. The crisp resin smell brought her in a deep instinctual way back home to four years ago, the night her family was killed. From the fire's bright dancing lights, a hand reached out to her- the hand of a dying burning body, the form unrecognizable but the voice a palpable entity of horror. "S-sato?" Yona whispered. She closed her eyes, the voice still clear despite the crackling flames, calling out to her, "Why didn't you save me?" Yona felt nauseated, sick with the pain, the guilt, and the fear. She reached out for Sato's burning hand, wondering if just maybe there was a chance that she could pull him from the illusion and into her real world. The fire burned her hands and she yelped, jerking her fingers back. Just as she did, the fire and the darkness began to vanish and her green eyes widened. "No, no!" She cried out, reaching for the fire, but not even the warmth of Cirven's flames remained.

Her hands trembled, anguish crushing her spirit, one hand still reaching out even as the darkness faded and the people were clear in view. "You shouldn't be so brash," Cirven had rebuked from somewhere nearby. Her emerald eyes would not focus, still staring at the spot where Sato had been. Her little brother had to have been real, her fingers still felt the sting of a burn, glowing red where the spell had actually harmed her. Yona was filled with temporary confusion and then acceptance. Cirven said something about how her actions would give her similar results to her past if she kept up the way she was going and Yona clenched her hands into fists. Insinuating it was her actions that had caused her brother's demise, waving Sato's image and voice in front of her like it was his memory to toy with: it sent her into a blinding rage. A quick glance towards Akryn made her realize that it was likely he had experienced something equally loathsome. She saw Akryn's fury, the brandishing of a black blade and even heard the words he was saying to insist that he was in the right and had done no wrong.

Yona stepped forward, her green eyes shimmering and her jaw set. She had waited long enough for Akryn to get his words out, but where Akryn had the dragon to soothe him, Yona had no one. Her cheeks were reddened by her anger- how dare he? How dare he take her private pain and play with it just to get to her? Was there no other way he could inflict punishment? "Those were my memories. That was my pain," Yona whispered, taking a step towards Cirven. She took another step, her voice rising, "You have no right to use him to get to me. I swear it, that just crosses the line." Yona licked her lips and uncurled her hand, stretching it outwards, clearly about to do a spell. Despite that red mist was seeping out of Akryn, Yona's bloodlust invoked was not directed towards the person who might have been easier to hit or the person who had helped goad her into an emotional state just mere minutes ago. Before she could take a third step, Erliza burst into the room, her purple dress clinging to her in an unappealing way.

Yona was mildly trapped in a moment of shock and abhorrence, forced to pause mid-spell- who was this lady? She looked completely out of her mind. "What a psycho," Yona murmured, looking her up and down. Even as Akryn had somewhat insulted Yona, she had little energy to turn and quarrel with him. The woman went on about beating up a lady named Alisha and upon seeing Yona and Akeya, chose to threaten them. "You're going to kill me? Because you think I want him?" Yona stared in disbelief, still choking down on her fury within, her eyes narrowed on Eliza. "You're damn right I want him--" Yona added, an eerie level of that bloodlust leaking into her tone. She wanted to unleash her anger on Cirven, though she obviously didn't clarify that for the psycho-dame.

Yona wanted to stride straight in, heading and aimed already for Cirven. He was the one to set her off by ignoring the importance of her request. He was the one to punish her using her most intimate pains. He was the one who crossed all the lines. And a small voice somewhere inside also thought, he was the one who would be able to handle anything she threw at him. Yona liked the guild and she had no intention of truly harming another if it put her membership at risk. But her ability to control her temper was pathetic at best, and worse when her little brother was brought into the picture. She could still hear his voice in her head, calling out to her, and she could still feel the sting of the burn on her right hand- the same hand still lifted and aimed at Cirven.

She felt her magic roiling in her, ready and eager to burst forth. Just one spell. Just one spell. Her arm wavered as she stared Cirven down. Erliza was actually causing damage to the guild entryway, and an actual fight brewing here was far a more serious crime against the guild than her near-miss with Akryn. Yona appreciated that Akeya had moved and called out the crazy woman, drawing out any animosity away from the two guild members. The dragon lady definitely had Yona's respect and admiration to some extent- she could handle herself damned well. And in that moment, when she felt it safe to assume that Erliza would have to deal with Akeya and Akryn, Yona's hand shivered. She just needed to flick her wrist to shoot the spell out, to feel the pleasure of releasing that overwhelming pain and consternation. Yona licked her lips slowly, trying to calm down and think it through.

But all she could hear was Sato's voice asking, "Sister, why didn't you protect me?" She released her spell, firing three large bamboo shoots through the guild floor and up towards Cirven. Yes, yes, Cirven would feel the pain and Cirven would feel her vengeance. He would pay for what he had done to her. At the last second, Yona wavered, something changing her mind, her hand tilting acutely upwards, and cursing out loudly as she did so. If Cirven chose not to move, the bamboo shoots would come up in a row, right in front of him, just inches from his torso and legs. "You used my brother!" Yona shouted at him. She had stopped short of actually attacking the guild leader and for the first time, he would witness her ability to gather control over her emotions. Oh, Yona wanted to fight him, she wanted to make him pay. Even threatening him in this way was sure to garner punishment, but Yona could not bring herself to turn all the hate she felt upon Cirven. That was meant for the man who had killed her family- not the man who had brought her into the guild, even if he had purposely used the memories against her.

    Spell used:
    Bamboo Rend - D rank
    MP - 10%

The devil did not completely know what to do in the situation. Everything seemed to be going a in a different way for what he had planned and he was starting to lose control over everything. The two hot heads of the guild being Akryn and Yona were not the best two to have around when it came to delicate situations and after what his 'aggressive' way of showing them that the way they were handling things was wrong, things would only get worse. "I noticed who she was fairly quickly. I heard you talking about the rat on your shoulder being wiser than Yona. It was an easy thing to figure out. Just remember that I have a lot to look after with being the leader of this place now. I can't afford to have any sort of holes in it and lose everything that everyone has built up here so I am sorry for using such dark means of showing you how bad things can get but I felt it was necessary. The same goes for you, Yona." The CEO spoke up quickly as Erliza started to move forward with her Crash Magic aura starting to build up again.

Erliza seemed to be lost in her own mind but Akeya's words caused her to stop in her movement, almost as if the female dragon had found a way to calm the raging inside of her but that did not last long as certain words that Akeya spoke were thrown out towards the blue haired girl. The assumptions and 'words of wisdom' coming from Akeya caused Erliza to stop in her tracks but the aura around her intensified slowly. "Akeya, can we not put words into her head before sh-" Cirven tried to get out but suddenly he was forced to hold his ground as a wave of powerful magic came off from Erliza and pushed him back across the ground a bit. "WHAT DID YOU SAY!? ARE YOU TALKING DOWN TO ME!?" Erliza's magical power seemed to be growing with her anger and she started to take steps forward towards Akeya. Each of her steps seemed to intensify her power more. Cirven knew he did not have much time before the girl released some sort of powerful attack that would destroy a chunk of the island and knew he had to act fast.

In the craziness of everything it was as if Erliza and the others had not paid much attention to Yona but the woman spoke up with more words that only served to increase the anger in Erliza and make her stop and glare at Yona. "I WILL SHOW YOU PSYCHO! I WILL SHOW YOU BOTH WHY I SURVIVED THROUGH MY LIFE IN THE PAST!" Erliza put out her hand facing the three in front of her and magical energy built up inside of it as she readied an attack. Cirven could feel that if it was released that even he would not be able to completely stop it but as this happened something happened that the devil did not expect with everything going on.

He had thought Yona would have been too focused on the attack aimed at her from Erliza but the girl sent out a attack on Cirven with her magic, causing bamboo shoots to spear out from the ground near him. He quickly got an idea and started to act as if he was defenseless but the bamboo stopped short of him which caused him to quickly move forward so that it pierced through his torso and legs. He let out a gasp of pain. "Erliza... I..." He spoke out and then went limp on the bamboo shoots and stopped talking. Erliza looked towards the scene and let out a scream of pure shock and then her eyes flipped inside of her head and she fell to the ground, fainted. Cirven heard the scream and the sound of the blue-haired girl's body collapsing onto the ground. He poked an eye up from his fake death scene and looked towards the downed girl. "Did it work..?" He mumbled out as he looked up and saw her. Seeing that his fake death worked he quickly swiped his hands across the bamboo to cut them away from his body. "Good one, Yona! I can say your anger paid off there!" He grinned at her with his mouth and chin bloodied from the attack. He gave her a thumbs up and almost seemed to act like it was completely natural to have spear-like plants skewer through you. "I really didn't know how we would have gotten out of that one but looks like things worked out." His persona had changed to the usual goofball that he was it seemed as he looked spoke. He then pulled out the bamboo that had skewered him through from his body and used his sleeve to wipe at the blood on his face. "I'll need a new uniform but that is the least of our worries right now."

"Cirven!" Alisha's voice called out as she came running up the path to him. She looked as though she had been caught up in some sort of fight. "I'm sorry but I lost tra-" She stopped speaking as she saw Erliza down on the floor unconscious. "I'll just put these cuffs on her, I guess..." Alisha made her way over to the downed woman and put some anti-magic cuffs onto her.

Cirven walked towards the three others who were there and shrugged. He was a bloody mess from being skewered but again acted like it was a regular thing as his body healed it. "Crazy way to join the guild, isn't it? Either way welcome to our little home of crazy and weird." He reached out with his hand. "So where do you want this to go?" He would wait for her to tell him and then place her guild mark there by touching his hand to that area. "Akryn, if you need to talk to me more about why I did what I did I can help you understand it more in depth or we can spar or something.
I know that will help with how annoyed you are at this point but it will help you understand why if needed.
" He looked towards Yona after the response that Akryn would give him. "Sorry about earlier. I might not be the best at teaching people to better themselves at times but I teach in rough ways. What exactly did you need from me? Why do you want to see events from that day and possibly hurt yourself mentally?" He questioned the girl and waited for her response.

Akryn was ready to fight. He felt disrespected, and he felt his mind and personal secrets had been violated. He felt challenged. His best friend had been disrespected as well. Such sins could not be tolerated, they had to be atoned for, someone had to pay, this new woman, she would pay, he would tear her throat out, he would shred her limb from limb before moving on to the others, how dare they treat him so, how dare they insult Akeya, he would kill them, he would kill them all, how dare they

These thoughts raced through Akryns head as his one good eye began shifting between colors, between red and yellow and orange and black and silver, his teeth grinding hard enough to produce a cracking sound as he stepped forward, every part of him intent on murder, before familiar coils wrapped firmly around his frame, and a gentle face met his, whispering soothing words to him that likely would have stopped him even if the coils didn't. He wanted to slaughter them all, he truly did, especially Cirven and this new woman. But the words that came to hm calmed him, and he couldn't tell whether it was more the words, or who they had come from, that had helped to sooth him. He still wanted to kill them, especially this new arrogant bitch. But he didn't want Akeya to be dissppointed in him either, and that thought was much stronger. As the shapechanger left his body and moved to confront the woman personally, Akryn would take a step back, his sword still in hand and a murderous aura still surrounding him, but far more controlled now, his eye fixed on red rather than the chaotic shifting of before. He was ready for this woman to make a move, any move at all, towards Akeya. It would be her last, he swore to himself, for just a moment ignoring Yona and Cirven, his anger becoming a pinpoint of targeting.

Yet it was neither Akryn nor Akeya who put a stop to the brewing trouble, instead the fight being averted by Cirven, using what seemed to be an attack from Yona in order to stun the woman somehow. Perhaps she was skiddish about blood? She was awfully aggressive if that was the case. No, that was unlikely, she seemed the violent type who wouldn't mind blood too much. Still, it had eased the immediate danger, which for now was enough, but Akryns rage was far from sated. As the new woman came and put cuffs on this Erliza character, Cirven offered to Akryn a chance to talk or spar, an offer that Akryn almost couldn't believe. Did he really think it would just smooth over like that? That such rage and distrust could be immediately quelled. Before he could think of an appropriate response Akryns anger flared up once more and he spat on the floor at Cirvens feet, his eye flashing to a brilliant orange color. "Control your stalker bitch. Welcome Akeya to our guild, wont you. And stay the hell out of my head." He responded, sparing a bit of a curous glance to Yona and her obvious pain, before turning sharply on his heel and marching out of the guild, sword still in hand, his other hand clenched into a large fist. It would likely be best for Cirven to avoid the giant for a bit until he had a chance to properly cool off.....

Hmmm... This wasn't going to go as smoothly as Akeya had been hoping. At first it looked like it was going to work, as the aggressive woman was now completely focused on her. She'd just have to keep slowly creating more distance while keeping the woman's attention on her until she could afford to begin her actual retreat. She didn't think this one was particularly fast but even if she wasn't suited for speed a mage at Erliza's level shouldn't be underestimated. It was a careful balancing act, but Akeya was giving herself good odds... but unfortunately she hadn't put enough thought into how Akryn and Yona would act. Of course with the two of them also being threatened they wouldn't just stand there and watch, Akryn because he rarely let himself be immobilized by fear, and Yona because, well... Akeya didn't know the green-haired mage beyond initial impressions but she already had the feeling that she wasn't one to back down. Getting angry at a giant gave the impression that you weren't easily intimidated.

With Yona also aggravating the powerhouse of a woman Akeya took a lower stance, her eyes narrowing and her eyebrows lowering as she tried to think of what to do. Drawing her attention wasn't going to work any more, she was so worked up that she wouldn't respond to any provocations since she was already at the point that she'd attack all of them indiscriminately. Calling out that she'd also be killing Cirven wasn't going to work either: she'd already shown that when she got overly excited even her object of obsession wasn't safe. Should she try to knock the woman out? With how much power she emitted almost unknowingly it'd hurt a lot, but it was safer than letting her unleash whatever she was planning to use... With that kind of magic she'd destroy a large area all at once, and even if Akeya managed to get to safety she doubted she'd be unharmed. If she was going to be hurt in the process either way she might as well try to preserve as many assets as possible.

However then a strange string of events occurred, one that made Akeya blink as she was actually caught off guard. She hadn't expected the plant mage to prioritize Cirven over the one threatening to blow them all up, and she certainly hadn't expected the guild leader to actually get hit, with such deep wounds even. With how focused Akeya had been on the immediate threat she didn't have the opportunity to see that Cirven let it happen on purpose, instead assuming just like Erliza that he had been struck a fatal wound... or at least a wound he hadn't intended to receive. Seeing Erliza's magic dissipate while the woman lost conscious from the shock of her love dying Akeya blinked again, then straightened up and waved her hand to purify the magic in the air around her. Having so much magic get thrown around messed up the background magic that suffused the world.

"It appears to have worked." She answered Cirven's question, looking down at the unconscious woman. "I admit I hadn't thought of that, since I figured if she saw you killed by someone else she'd completely lose control. I'm glad that I was wrong." She admitted her limited perspective, walking back over to Erliza and crouching next to her. "I'd advise prioritizing visiting her above whatever other duties you might have." She told Cirven even as the assistant that Erliza claimed she had beaten up arrived. While she did look as if she had to force her way out of wherever Erliza had put her the dragoness didn't think she looked particularly beaten up. "I'd rather not begin my stay here with someone of this strength hunting me down, so I'd appreciate it if you managed to calm her down before the thought of me as an enemy actually cemented itself in her mind."

Straightening back up she looked at Yona and Akryn. Given how the both of them weren't acting calm or even merely angry it was pretty clear that whatever Cirven had done, it really wasn't very merciful. Well, Akryn wasn't so weak in spirit that a single crushing illusion would be the end of him, and she couldn't alleviate his concerns all the time. Come to think of it, though... When they were in the shadow celestial realm he also had difficulty with facing his fears, so maybe... She suppressed a sigh as she watched Akryn spit at the guild master's feet and then told him to stay out of his head before walking off. She'd have to make sure he was all right later on. If someone like Akryn stayed angry for too long it'd cause a lot of trouble either for himself or the people around him, or both. While Akeya wasn't a very caring person she had managed to create a structure of logic in her mind which made it clear that keeping as many people in a somewhat content state was more beneficial in the long run, at least for as long as she had to deal with society as a whole.

"A more hectic introduction than I had been expecting. Although I think Akryn and the green-haired woman were hurt more by it than I." Indeed, Akeya hadn't really suffered other than being exposed to a dangerous amount of raw magic power and temporarily being put inside an area where she could neither see nor hear. All things considered she'd basically made it out of the encounter unharmed. "As for where to put the mark, I have an idea but for now let's put it in a convenient spot." She held out her right hand, palm upwards, so Cirven could place the guild sign on the palm of her hand. Relatively easily hidden once you knew the trick, but at the same time also easily shown.

"Given the nature of the guild I assume there are several things which you'll have to instruct me about before I can be properly enlisted." She looked over at Erliza's body. "Akryn didn't tell me everything, just enough. For now I'll stay hidden until you've got the time, unless any of it is urgent."

She turned towards Yona, also wanting to address the green-haired woman. "Since you have already seen me I'll introduce myself. I'm Akeya the Shadow Dragon. If everything goes well I'll be joining this company," She indicated the large building they were all still standing in front of. "And I hope we'll be able to cooperate smoothly."

Yona had mostly zoned out after her major expulsion of emotion. She heard Cirven apologize. She had seen him jump into her attack and get skewered. She had seen the young woman fall to the floor, knocking the clean crazy out of her head. But Yona was distracted. Her mind was on her brother and the pit of pain inside of her heart. She had to get out of there. She looked up in a haze, somewhat confused as Akryn moved away, as Akeya made an introduction.

She gave a nod to Akeya, "Sorry about before. Welcome to the guild." She had no real feelings left to show, despite that she tried a smile on for Akeya's sake, and was sure she would bump into all the others later. Doubtlessly, she and Akryn had unfinished business and doubtlessly Akeya would stop him from being an idiot. Yona looked down at her fingers, burned by touching that image of her own brother. She let out a small sigh, unable to meet Cirven's eyes, and headed towards the door. "Excuse me, won't you? We will have to have coffee or tea sometime, but I have to go." The whole reason she had been upset was Cirven refusing to listen to her and now he seemed to want to help. She still wanted that help of course, but she had to rid her head of Sato's image first. There was never any thinking on a busy head. She glanced over her shoulder at Cirven and nodded once to him, a soft gesture devoid of emotion for the moment, "Let's talk later, Cirven." And then, she was gone, walking out the doors.

Everything had seemed to start to calm down now that the situation with Erliza had been solved. Cirven was able to act more like his usual self and apologized to Yona and Akryn, Alisha managed to subdue the unconscious Erliza and was having some men help escort her to a place that was 'safe' for her to be around and the devil was able to officially bring in a woman who he considered a friend within the crazy world they found themselves in. Cirven was not completely surprised that the Djinn or the younger girl acted the way they did after what he did to them but he hoped that they both would be able to understand where he was coming from. They both were on the verge or being major issues in the guild and he needed to show them where their actions could end them up. He disliked having to show that side of him to allies but he knew he had to be a leader in that situation and not a friend.

"They will understand why at some point I guess." He mumbled aloud as he watched them leave. He disregarded the spit that Akryn had spat out as he knew the Djinn a bit better than most and did not take any disrespect from it though most people probably would have. He turned his attention onto the newcomer to the guild. "Sorry about that. So just a simple placement, huh?" Cirven reached out his own right hand over her palm and a light shined between both of their hands for a few seconds. The shining stopped and Cirven removed his hand revealing the insignia that all of the rest of the guild had on some part of their body. "And easy as that. Now did you want me to show you around a bit? Could help you with not getting lost so much or you could just do your own adventure of discovery around here like you are used to..?" He offered to help her out with learning the landscape of the country they were standing in to her but understood if she would decline to travel around alone and learn what she could herself.
