Job Description: Discovered by seeing a notice on the board: I’m an herbalist in Beanstalk Village and I had heard reports about a unique plant never before seen in Fiore. However it would seem that the plants sting anyone who touch it. Those who have touched it ended up in the hospital for a day or two. Nothing serious, but I’d like you to go remove them for the people’s protection. I would however, like a sample.

Once you return to the herbalist with at least one weed she thanks you and gives you the jewel

Ezekiel walked down the road, recently his guild had recently taken a shining to the research of a particular herbalist in the Beanstalk village. The herbalist says that he has discovered some new plant unique and never before seen in all of Fiore. Ezekiel, being the newest recruit unable to show his true power yet, was sent on the job to collect these weeds as samples for the herbalist and give the samples to him. The walk there was quiet and long, the woods seemed eerier than Ezekiel expected as he walked along. Upon arrival at the Beanstalk Village, he walked to the herbalist's house to get the info on the plants.

“Not much is known about them aside from that they have some sort of poison or magical properties that are injuring whoever touches them. On this paper I have written down the locations of the seven weeds I know about, please remove them but make sure to bring me a sample, the samples the better but I need at least one, thanks.” “Yeah, bring you a sample and get rid of the rest got it.” Ezekiel said as he left the house, the paper showed a well drawn sketch of the village and the surrounding area. On the map there was seven purple dots, most likely the locations of the weeds. Ezekiel walked to the nearest dot on the map. When he arrived at the dot he was standing in front of a small house, in front of the house was a small garden Ezekiel looked around the garden and found the purple weed it was a small one, Ezekiel ripped the weed up with his gloved hand, the plant stung through Ezekiel's hand. “Gotta be more careful next time, still this job is gonna be easy with weeds this small” Ezekiel thought as he put the weed in a jar.

Ezekiel continued to the next plant, a slightly larger one about the size of his hand, he pulled his flute from its pouch on his belt, he then played a long low note followed by a rapid set of high notes. A ghostly arm floated out of the flute end, slithering like a snake being charmed by a snake charmer. The arm flew into a flurry of punches on the weed, shaking the plant and the ground around it. Then he swung the flute at the plant, up rooting it. A few steps away was a set of two much larger plants, growing up to his knees. Ezekiel played another tune on his flute, this one fiery and fast paced getting louder by the second. One of the plants was engulfed in ghostly crimson flames wilting but still alive, while that plant burnt Ezekiel delivered three strikes to the base of the other plant killing it but getting stung once. Ezekiel walked back over to the other big one and smashed it twice with the flute, wilted leaves unable to touch his skin.

“4 down 3 to go.” Ezekiel thought as he walked to the next group, this group had three of the plants, one tiny one and two medium sized ones. Ezekiel played his flute yet again, not wanting to risk touching the plants. He held his flute as he stuck each of the plants at their bases, low enough that the leaves wouldn't touch him, putting the plants into the jar he set off to the herbalist's house.

He returned to the herbalist's house, handed the man the jar of less then perfect samples, grabbed the payment, said his farewells, and left to return to the guild hall.
