It was hard to make Astrid utterly furious. Even if she may be agitated easily she wasn't one to simply allow her anger to overtake her completely in a short amount of time. It may eventually lead there, but those instances were few and far between. At least they were normally. However, as time went on the slayer was having more and more trouble controlling her raging temper. First, it had started when she overworked herself back in her early life as a guild ace. The mountain of work that was required of such a position was quick to overwhelm her and take her attention away from the hobbies that were otherwise controlling her emotions. Then, she was appointed guild master, and the work seemed to double. However, at the time Summer had also gained the position along side her, and it actually lifted quite a lot from her shoulders. But it would not last for long, as gaining the title of wizard saint, the realization of her slow death, and Summer disappearing would soon lead the woman to drown in work. Magic Council requests left and right, guild paper work flooding in every day of the week, the thought of her life ending slowly eating away at the back of her mind. It would be no surprise to anyone that during this time Astrid had fallen into a state of depression, may she acknowledge it or not. The first spark of intriguing and wonder that had come with the life of a working mage two years ago managed to slowly dwindle out into nothing but a large ball of frustration and irritation in the girl. People tried to help. Erika had forced her on a vacation, and Kaisto... Well, 'Caelum' now allowed her to use her as a punching bag during their last fight. But nothing seemed to work. Nothing could rekindle the same fire of passion she had way back when. She was snuffed out, watered down.
The only thing she had left that could bring any sort of joy, was her friends and family.

... But of course life had a way of kicking someone while they're down.

It began that morning with cooking, an activity she had to do a lot with the hungry mouths currently all living in her house. Shizuka, Lucius, Wolfgang. They could not feed themselves, either being too young or disabled somehow, and therefore the elf normally cooked for them.
The radio had been on, more so for the weather more than anything. It was always good to know the weather after all, especially if she was going to end up going on a job somehow. Dressing appropriately could make or break an entire quest. But while double tasking, Astrid had almost missed the sudden and terrifying news that would shake her and Lucius to their very cores.
She could have sworn she heard the man over the crackling speakers right. But the more she tried to recall what he said, the harder she found to listen. A slaughter, he said? Peace Village was...
The rhythmic sound of her chopping came to a halt, and violet eyes stared off at the wall in front of her, suddenly seeming numb to all of her surroundings.
Among the name of casualties, one stuck out the most.
    Eustis Foss. Her grandfather.

One thing lead to another, and the slayer had seemed to blank out, even more so than usual. She did not even finish making the breakfast for her house residents. Even if she wanted to, right now, she had too much going on in her mind to concentrate on finishing. Instead, she dropped everything and exited the house in a blast of silver light.
They could never leave her alone, could they? It was as if traumatizing her back when she was first just starting this new life wasn't enough. It's like they had to take everything from her, it's like she had to take everything from her.
The elf had given her too many chances, and now she was paying for it. She should have just killed her back in that alleyway, back when she had the chance. Both her and that blasted guild would pay.
They would pay for crossing her.
Soon finding herself at Rose Garden the wizard saint approached the outside of the Silver Moon Inn casually, dressed in her enchanted cloak so she would not bring too much attention to herself despite underneath holding so much anguish and rage that the people around her couldn't help but at least glance in her direction. If they did, burning crimson eyes would simply glare in their direction from under the hood, causing them to become so frightened they would turn right around and walk the other way. It was a busy day at the in, from at least what she could see. It looked to be filled to the brim with people and the streets were littered, most likely due to the holiday season. Normally? Astrid would never dream of doing such a thing, otherwise being a pacifist and all. Even then, there were too many people around here, and therefore she had a much higher rate for casualties. But with so much rage, she was blinded, and did not care for them. Black Rose needed to pay. That was all. Nothing else mattered at this very moment.
Raising a slim arm up a silver circle formed around the outside of her hand before a beam of light blasted from it straight through the hall of the inn in a clean cut. The structure shook and crumbled under the power of such a mighty blast, causing the surrounding people who were not hit to begin running away in case another attack happened. Which they did. Astrid continued to fire at the inn, each one causing a massive, burning hole. By now Rose Garden, which had once been bustling with happy civilians, was suddenly eerie and quiet, nothing but the sound of crumbling structure and distant screams to fill it. At least, until the enraged slayer finally spoke.
"YOU COWARDS!" she yelled darkly, firing yet again another laser into the building. By now her hood had fallen off, allowing for her angered features to become visible. "YOU'LL ALL PAY FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE!"

WC: Let's finally get this war started, yo!

    Outfit: Here
    Notes: xXx

    Spoiler:

Sakura's day so far had gone rather well, much more than the doll had planned it go for the most part. Her mother began to get into the theme of trying to either stitch together or go out and buy just the outfits made for the porcelain doll's that some shops had hand made for the occasion.
Her most recent success story had been most of the outfit that she'd been dressed in was one that was hand stitched by her mother with the design drawn by the tiny one herself. Since she had little time to devote anywhere, she started putting her mind to paper and creating drawings of outfits that she had come up with. Whether they be for herself or someone else differed entirely, she wasn't really worried about it per say. It took her mind off of things and gave her something to look forward to each day, so while she had that she wanted to focus on that for a little while. What most excited her was to show them off to the friends she had in Black Rose and get some peer reviewing on her designs. While she had her mother and the vast number of mermaids at her disposal, she wanted to branch out so she didn't feel as though they were being summoned specifically to be judges.

The fully dressed doll made her way towards the guild hall in a little bit of a hurried pace. In hand was her sketch book, to which had been nearly half the very size of the doll herself. "Miss Sakura, wouldn't you like me to hold that for you?" A mermaid had asked, slightly in tow and just floating along in the air as if nothing had been wrong. "It's fine Annette." She replied with little to it.It hadn't been like she was stressing herself by holding it with all of the doll might she had, but she had come to the decision she would try to do as much for herself now that she'd gotten herself the motivation to do so.

As the tiny summoner rounded the corner to head to the inn, she had stopped for a moment.
She looked down the street at the odd cloaked figure standing there facing the facility/guild hall and just remaining still. It had reminded her of how hesitant at first she had been in wanting to join, but honestly she was then nearly as blind to the way magic guilds worked as she was now.
"Could that be someone who wants to join and is conflicted?" She muttered, looking on from the distance for only a moment longer. Soon, the little doll began to walk closer to the strange figure and the pair paused once their hand raised. A magic circle formed and a burst of light pierced the inn, collapsing it on top of others. Her eyes widened in shock as the place was destroyed, but not dealt with yet. Another series of blasts in the same place finally decimated the inn in its entirety, leaving the doll whom witnessed it all in a frozen state of shock. It had been the voice of the mage whom snapped her back, looking on to the scene as she declared vengence. "Hey!" The doll blurted out loudly,
unaware of the reason behind her actions, but fearlessly jumping in regardless. "What did this guild do to you to make you do this?" She asked, pushing tiny steps slightly closer every passing couple seconds.

The assassin stood in the doorway of the kitchen, well in front of it, not being able to stand in it without bending over due to his impossible height. His sister was making food for him and the two other and very annoying people that lived in the guildmaster's residence. He didn't really have an appetite, like usual, but he couldn't really say no to his sister. Plus, he didn't want to add to her stress with the fact that he didn't often eat. So he was in the kitchen, but he couldn't stand sitting next to the other two, they were unbearably annoying. His arms were crossed, his walking stick hanging off one of his long arms. Crimson eyes were closed, its not like they were of any use to him open, being blind and all. He listened to the radio, for no other reason but to try and block out any other irritating sound. His sister usually had it on for the weather, which he supposed was important to her or anybody that left the house more then he did. Which was rarely, so he didn't particularly care for it, but it was better then listening to the nine year old and the lisp-y exceed.
The radioman was speaking the news, which normally didn't pique his interest in the slightest. This time it did, some town had a slaughter, murders were always fun to hear about, made him happy that other people were trying to thin the human population. Yes, he is a human, but he also hates all humans, so hearing that they were dying was always enjoyable for the nineteen year old. But he just processed where, where all the deaths, where this massacre took place. Peace Village, his eyes opened and he dropped his arms to his sides, he didn't particularly care for anybody there, or at least he didn't think he did. His first thought was to look after Astrid, and comfort her since people in her home town were killed. Though I suppose Peace Village was his home town too, but as you could've gathered, he couldn't care less. She's always been pretty sensitive to death, even if she didn't really know the person. But then he heard a familiar name, Eustis Foss, his adoptive grandfather. The man that took him in and gave him a home to begin with, though he met Astrid first and was more attached to her. It didn't mean he didn't have any attachment for the man that clothed, fed and housed him. He wasn't as nearly close to the elder man as his adoptive sister, but still close enough, close enough to be furious.
Before he could even finished blinking, his sister, her presence, had completely vanished. He knew she was fast but he was surprised at how fast she could go. Without even noticing, she'd gotten so much more stronger then him, and so much more independent. Though, she has probably always been stronger then him, it was hard to tell, especially when you don't know how to properly judge yourself due to having intense amount of self-hatred. His self-deprecating and reminiscent thoughts were easily blocked by anger. His black aura flooded from him, not nearly as intimidating as his sister's deadly terrifying aura, but still scary. If it could be seen it would be visualized as a large swarm of pitch black butterflies. The assassin ran from the house, though it was going to take him longer to get there then his sister, it wasn't going to take to long due to having teleportation spell and incredible speed for being human.
Once he arrived his sister had already done her damage, and wasn't stopping anytime soon. Even in his rage he knew enough to keep his distance away from his elder sibling when she was angry like this, he learned that a long time ago. He'd enter the scene invisible and unnoticeable to anybody around, walking through the shadows soundlessly. He'd shoot everybody's shadow that he could sense, aiming as best as he could with his enhanced hearing and knowledge of what direction the shadow would be facing. Avoiding his sister, he'd send out a damaging pulse across the ground, doing damage to anybody nearby. He then proceeded to shoot anybody that he heard around, of course, completely silent. Not making a big scene like his sister, but hiding in the shadows where nobody could see or hear or even sense him due to his spell. He heard someone, and unfamiliar voice, try and talk to his sister, as if trying to calm her down, as if trying to reason with her. Which was just idiotic and probably going to get them killed, but he really didn't care. The more dead the better. The more that payed for killing his grandfater the better.

Post by Kiru 1st January 2018, 6:29 pm

    Kiru’s time had run short.

For the longest time she had been in the confines of her own guild hall, drowning in her own endless stream of duties that required her attention. The recent activity had spiked significantly, with many new members joining in the guild every month. It was her duty to keep tabs on all of them, for a time at least. However, she found even that simple task becoming increasingly difficult with the sheer amount of financial operations that needed her attention. And today didn’t seem like it was going to be any different… At least she had lots of time, right? Didn’t seem like anything was going to happen anyways. She may as well use the time she had to get all of the trivial tasks out of the way so her focus could be 100% diverted to the tasks that actually NEEDED it.

That had been the plan anyways…

Something was off. Kiru’s senses picked up on it before anyone else in the room it seemed. Her ears twitched slightly and for once her eyes were taken off her page. The demon slayer’s eyes grew sharp as she observed the guildhall for a second. It felt as if someone fairly powerful nearby was- And that’s when it happened. In a flash of brilliant white, the window and wood surrounding it shattered as a beam of magic pierced through! Utterly destroying whatever it touched before hitting the back of the room! Before anyone could even register the event, another appeared! And just like that the guild hall was being bombarded by magic power of an unknown assailant! Kiru knew she had no time to waste questioning her current reality, and the girl’s combat mode quickly kicked in. She abandoned her table to its doom as she quickly rolled out of the way from another shot, papers exploding everywhere from the impact. People were now screaming and running for their lives… Many not being so lucky. Kiru could only watch in horror as members of both her guild, and innocent civilians were being butchered before her! The demon slayer’s aura rose, but it seemed too late for her to stop whatever was coming. The roof began to shake and Kiru noticed two younger members on the ground covered in dust shake in fear as their demise shook above them! The girl launched herself forwards, standing in front of them and holding both her arms upwards. “OCEAN DEMON BARRIER!”

Through the rumble, a voice was heard. One that seemed familiar. Kiru’s breath was heavy as she held up a massive amount of debri, but to her luck the two she aimed to save were still alive. “Get out of here, now!” She ordered. The two did not hesitate and quickly got to their feet. The power Kiru felt behind this attack… It was strong. Stronger than hers. And it was no longer alone. Someone else had joined the fray, and Kiru found this out too late. Too focused on the white haired mage’s power she didn’t even sense the darkness that followed, and soon she found herself taking a direct hit of the shadow magic! She grunted in pain as her hold weakened and the barrier of water broke, the wood toppeling on her.

Now this was not a state the demon slayer usually found herself in. Never had anyone been able to surprise her this much. However, that no longer mattered. She knew they were there now, and she knew they were not friendly. They put her guild members and innocents to death. All for something that Kiru could not figure out. That wasn’t going to stop her though. She lay hidden from view underneath a sea of broken wood, before her fist slammed against the stone ground. Her aura growing as the sky darkened with rain clouds. Nobody could get away with this. The silence was broken by a young mage behind the two attackers, but Kiru had yet to register her as her only focus was on those two… She knew her voice now, even if they had ever met briefly. Astrid Foss. Former guildmeber of Black Rose, now guildmaster of Golden Phoenix. She had just declared an act of war, and Kiru was prepared to bring the tidal wave…

An explosion of white water shattered the wood and pierced the sky as a brilliant shining liquid rose through the air! Rain began to pour now, and as soon as the dust and mist cleared, the demon slayer stood atop her destroyed guild hall with a burning rage to match Astrid’s. She stared the two down. It was clear now that the attack that had taken Kiru off guard had been caused by Lucius.. One of Astrid’s companions. Her clothes tattered, Kiru’s fists glowed with white magic as the rain began to get heavier. If it was war they wanted, Kiru wasn’t going to wait for Izuyaki to give them what they came for.

“You openly attack our guild, and kill off our members over what?!” Kiru screamed “Your sins are unforgivable…” She gritted. And with that, Kiru’s palm slammed against the shattered wood. The two wizards would then find massive white geysers of scalding hot water magic exploding from the ground coming straight towards them. Hot enough to sear flesh on contact….

Izayuki Hyoujin ♦ Black Rose ♦ H Rank

The noise coming from outside alerted not only a number of curious Black Rose guild members, but also the master of the inn herself. Her keen ears detected a very familiar voice shouting outside, followed by loud crashes as magic collided with their guildhall-- the small inn and restaurant settled humbly in Rose Garden.

“Everyone out of the guildhall! If you need, escape down to the Library,” Izayuki ordered, standing up from her seat at a table. A piece of wood from above landed on her red velvet cake. What a waste.
At least, the Library would be safe, and had many exits to various regions of Rose Garden, including passages to outside the city.

Fearlessly rushing out of Silver Moon Inn as some of the structure began to collapse, Izayuki narrowed her crimson eyes at the white dragon slayer, the guildmaster of Golden Phoenix, her own daughter, Astrid.

The question had already been asked by Kiru and Sakura, and the oreo Ace had already initiated an attack towards the dragon slayer. While Astrid was distracted with dealing with Kiru, Izayuki would beginning forming her own ‘attack’. Surely Astrid was smart enough to block or dodge the scalding white water, and if she was not, she would pay the price.

Just in case she avoided it, the Bakedanuki prepared another attack to be launched towards her; a harmless one that would hurt her in no way. All the shadowy green orb of light could do was revert Astrid to a form she could have been more accustomed to- that of a young eastern raccoon dog. Izayuki at least wanted it to confuse Astrid if it worked; she doubted that her daughter was used to using magic in a four legged form, and at least this might help her get to a point of being able to tell the curious and enraged guildmembers what exactly was going on.

“You have a lot of explaining to do,” Izayuki murmured darkly, her expression no longer playful like it usually was, but grim and solemn. She slowly walked towards the Guildmaster of Golden Phoenix, skirting Kiru’s geysers of water.

The guild continued to crumble under her wrath. Wood disintegrated into nothing from the holy beams of light. Bricks fell and tore apart what she was unable to reach. Dust and other debris filled the air of the falling building, contaminating it and making it somewhat hard to see if one was bothered by that kind of stuff.
At this point most people had evacuated the area, as to not get caught up in the guild master's angered rampage. Though a few people still remained. If she wasn't able to tell by their shouts and cries, then merely from her ability to read souls. A few were injured, but far from dead. While most, were from the guild members themselves.
After a few more rounds of shots Astrid ceased her fire and took a quick pause to see what their reactions would be, either them fighting back or begging for mercy. Though she would have liked the second one, she doubted they would just straight up surrender like that. No. Cold blooded killers were never that easy. They would not go down without a fight. Which for once, Astrid wouldn't mind.
The voice of a small blonde girl broke the slayer's concentration, and all focus was put strictly on her. Crimson optics narrowed darkly. The elf did not know if this woman was apart of the guild, she did not recognize her as a member from the time she resided in Black Rose. But given that she gave off the energy of a mage, it was safe to assume so. She adjusted her hand so it was pointed towards the doll and allowed to flicker with the same silver energy as before, once again preparing her blast attack. However, just before she could launch it Kiru's shout caught her attention and tore it away from the blonde to the demon slayer. Her arm grew dull, until the light faded away from it.
She turned towards the ace, recalling the familiar face from the multiple times they had bumped into one another.
"My sins?!" she questioned, taken aback by her statement, almost in shock. Were they denying the damage they had caused? Were they idiotic enough to act like they had done nothing wrong? Even the magic council would probably know at this point. There was no getting away from the literal mass murder they had just accomplished... And they were acting like nothing was wrong?
The woman's fists curled in anger, her crimson eyes flashing somehow with even more rage than before. "How dare you!"
Seeing the massive geysers coming right for both her and Lucius she reacted, summoning a light blue scythe to her grasp. Getting a firm grip she would spin the handle in a clockwise fashion and force the water back, cutting the white water so quickly with the blade that it had no chance of hitting her. In other words, she was blocking the attack by attacking the water itself.
After blocking the scolding hot water, having sensed the whizzing ball of light out of the corner of her vision just in time, Astrid diverted her gaze to the attack and used her quickened reflexes to cut the ball in half. Little so say, her training with Sirius was paying off, may that be good or bad for this entire situation depending on which side you were on. She was no longer that small timid girl all those years ago that the tanuki had tore apart in that alleyway. No. She was so much more powerful, and so much more unforgiving.
The ball made contact with the sharpened edge, which split it neatly in two. Each half of the sphere flew past the girl, managing to miss her just by a few inches and continue on their own steady path backwards.
A fiery red gaze turned towards the other guild master, a deep scowl firmly etched onto her dark expression.
"I need not explain anything, you bastard" she spat, the harsh name call coming off almost as a foreign word from someone who rarely if at all used that type of language.
"If anyone you are the ones who need to explain yourselves. Though that does not mean i will take it as a reason to not slaughter everyone last of you. There is no reason that exists to kill so many innocent lives!" she growled, a blue aura consuming her body like hot flames. The flames flickered off of her body and grew outwards slowly across the ground, soon enough covering the entire area, though they would not be effected by the pouring rain, as these were no ordinary fires. It was hell fire. A fire so great that not even water could quench them.
She began to tremble and growl under her breath, wincing back as a great pain consumed her mind. The amount of anger she had was beginning to be too much for her body to handle. Every part of her mind burned and pounded, like a giant hammer was being brought down upon it every second. To try and ease the pain she forced her face into her hands, shaking her head. But it was no use. It just grew bigger, and harder to ignore, until she snapped.
"You can all burn in hell!"
Her fists glowed a silver light. In one swift movement, she would rush at the tanuki with a scream and attempt to land a powerful punch on the female.

Post by Lilium 14th January 2018, 12:08 pm

The sound of carnage was one that was unfamiliar to the noble woman. One moment, she had been perfectly content with laying in the normal hustle that was caused by the inn, however the next all that she heard was ringing. There was a beam of light that had almost cut through the girl. Anything in it's path was destroyed. Hikari started to breath heavily as she tried to move in her panicked state. What could have possibly happened such that she almost died first thing in the morning. It wasn't even noon and the world was trying to kill her. Looking around, the holy mage would summon on her normal attire when heading out to battle and grab her sword. Creating an astral projection, she would toss it in the general direction of the downstairs area of the Silver Moon Inn. If it was still there. A lot of the inn was damaged and a lot of people were in danger of dying. Hikari rushed over to the wounded as she tried to see through all the smoke in the air. Her magic began to heal those around her who were in the most desperate situations as she saw certain things through the smoke and she noticed that the traces of magic that were all present were very familiar. The shadows that were attacking innocent bystanders felt like the presence of a person she had done a job with recently and who despised her being. The power of Kiru's and Izayuki's presence as a whole and... Astrid.

The one responsible for this was the dragon slayer herself. Hikari tried to stop herself from glaring but the action just came out naturally. She was ready to form a bow and summon as many arrows as she possibly could but decided against it for now. She noticed how livid Astrid seemed and knew one thing: this was beyond Hikari's power. The white dragon slayer was acting at full strength, as demonstrated when she effortlessly sliced Kiru's water magic and Izayuki's polymorphing ability. Hikari focused what she could offer to quell the anger of the enraged elf as she summoned the mark of Petasos on her back. Radiant white wings emerged from the holy mage as she flew above Izayuki. Placing a three layered shield in front of her guild master as she heard Astrid approach her with a silver fist. The shield was all Hikari could provide as it could still manage to be broken by Astrid's full out punch but at least the holy mage could try to lessen the impact it would have on the Black Rose Guildmaster. Hikari also put most of her magic energy into amplifying the Caduceus aura she had passively going on. It should slightly weaken the punch as well but not by much do to the difference in magic between Hikari and Astrid. This was all that Hikari hoped to do and prayed that it would help her Guildmaster stay in this fight, long enough to end it that is.

    Lucius Foss Golden Phoenix B-Rank
    I   c r e a t e d   a   m o n s t e r   a   h e l l   w i t h i n   m y   h e a d

Lucius felt the dust, from the building that was crumbling around them, make a nice thin layer across his currently invisible figure. His pale skin turning a gray brown color from it all, though he didn't mind the dust, he didn't really appreciate the occasional piece of rubble that would attempt to crush him or the little pebbles that were flicked at him. Small annoyances really, but all the more things to fuel his anger. It was nothing like his elder sister, who was just a deadly force of nature itself, but it was still a force to be reckoned with. He still kept a safe distance away from Astrid, a yard or two behind her at least. Being the petty and sick twisted man that he was, he backed away from the heat of the battle. Making his way around through the shadows to the cowering patrons, the helpless people who didn't have bravery or magic or a guild member to defend them. Pulling the sheath from his sword, of which was disguised within his walking stick, and swiftly stabbed a person cowering in the fetal position, though the neck. Their death would be in a matter of minutes, but to them it would feel like hours, drowning, choking on their own blood.
One of the worse parts of this is, that these poor people, frightened for their lives, were dying very painful deaths and they couldn't even see the cause of it. So they would just die, confused and in pain, leaving unfinished business and happy feelings behind. With senses as sharp as his silver blade, he could pin point exactly where the weaklings were. His genius brain, in a matter of seconds, knew just how to reach them without being found, and how give them a painful death. Painful deaths he ensued with either gunshot or sword include: piercing the lungs, grazing the heart, a ton of stabs or bullets or both through their entire body, etc. etc. I could go on for a little while, but I won't. So in no time at all, while the Golden Phoenix Guildmaster was dealing with the mages of Black Rose, he'd killed all of the citizens that got stuck within the collapsing building. It really helped out with the sound, it quieted it down quite a bit, with all the sobbing and screaming from the patrons gone.
Suddenly, a familiar aura appeared, something that brought up something he'd never admit to, fear. The Black Rose Guildmaster had arrived, she appeared to have been there for a little while, but his emotions and thoughts of killing the innocents blocked it out. Hoping that it wasn't true, but it was unmistakable, his grudge from the torture she gave to himself, but more important his sister. He couldn't possibly let that slide, but he couldn't let himself get lost in his emotions anymore, he didn't need to give his sister anymore grief by getting himself killed. So he stayed to the shadows, where he would be safe, supposedly. He stood back behind his sister, every pain stricken word that escaped her lips pierced at his heart. Lucius hated to hear her in pain, so enraged, in irrational ways he started to blame himself. But he forced it onto blaming them, he couldn't blame himself, it wasn't his fault. It was this dreadful bakedanuki's fault, her and her stupid guild's fault. For being a legal guild, them massacring the majority, if not all of Peace Village, was a rather dark thing to do.
Then a rather unexpected thing happened, something that was very much an inconvenience for the assassin. At extreme speeds he couldn't properly process, his sister sliced an attack from tanuki in half, and of course with his luck, it hit him directly in the chest. The boy stumbled backwards, expecting pain, but there wasn't any. What was that? It couldn't have been a stroke of luck, it wasn't possible for him, though it was only half of whatever that spell was. It had to have some other effect, but what? All these questions and thoughts went through his brain in a second. They were answered when he felt his body start to change, forcefully morph him into something else against his will.
The tall young man fell onto his hands and knees, all over his body, black fur started to grow at rapid speeds, replacing his clothes. His hands and feet into paws, face into a muzzle, teeth sharper, his whole anatomy changing into something. Sometime during the transformation his invisibility spell had faded, but nobody would really notice him within all this chaos unless they were looking right at him. Lucius stood on his now four legs, a long tail whipped about from his backside. Of course, with his luck, he got turned into a panther accidentally by the person he hated the most.

Izayuki Hyoujin ♦ Black Rose ♦ H Rank
` ` we're dancers, and i've picked petals looking for answers

Izayuki frowned at the ‘explanation’ of the silver-haired mage. Something definitely was wrong, and from what the Bakedanuki could gather in the few split seconds to pass, Astrid believed that Black Rose was at fault for something. Hearing the last sentence, she had accused them of taking innocent lives… innocent lives?

It was something that was against the rules of her guild. They were to follow the laws of the land, unless circumstances greatly changed. And circumstances certainly had not. There was no convincing Astrid of their innocence, nor prying more information out of her. Izayuki remembered her last encounter with the angered soul, who would barely listen to anything. Despite that, the guild master decided to at least try, if she could. Her present goal was to prevent anymore casualties and destruction within the town of Rose Garden, which housed the guild of roses.

    “Astrid, please wai--”

Her voice was cut off by a piercing pain. Hikari had tried to create a shield to protect the guild master, but it failed to withstand the anger behind the mighty attack of the slayer.

Astrid had landed a blow right in the gut of the Bakedanuki, who let out an agonized whimper upon receiving the full force of the attack. There was something else too… a feeling of dying, but not of her own passing. However, there was some life leaving her, in some shape or form.

Crimson eyes widened as she slowly began to realize what was happening.
“Surely you have realized it by now? The two extra souls within you, not counting the ones involved in your sorcery. The children of you and that human.”
Kemuira’s words came back to the Bakedanuki, but far too late. The deed had already been done, at the hands of the very one who had been unborn. The soul vanished just like that, and Izayuki felt tears running down her eyes as the life of that child left her body.

“H-how could you!?” Izayuki shouted, summoning magical energy to her, which channeled towards her mouth. At close range, she would release the harsh attack at Astrid, at least in an attempt to freeze her and keep her in place so they could talk. The tears running down the Bakedanuki’s face suddenly ran icy cold, preceding the spell to come. “Glacier God Bellow!”

Righteous anger began to course through the veins of the soon to-be-mother. It was an anger unlike any she had experienced, which matched the anger of the daughter before her in a way. Even if the truth was in stone, that Astrid had taken her own life in a way, she was not about to just leave and get away unpunished.

The barrier proved to be useless in the end, as the emotions of pure fury and spite, and the raw power behind her strike, it caused the barrier to be shattered. The problem with using barriers with as much effort as Hikari did was that when you place all your magic into the strength of the barrier and it gets destroyed, you feel the impact as well. The holy mage covered her mouth as she felt some blood get on her hand. If that's how much it hurt when she only felt a fraction of the impact, how much did it hurt Izayuki? Wiping the blood away, the holy mage would turn over to gaze at her guild master. She winced as she saw the tears running down the tanuki's face. Something serious must have happened to provoke such powerful emotions within her. Hikari almost panicked when she heard the rage in her guild master's voice. It really was rare to see the Wizard Saint like this. The noble woman barely got out of the way of the icy blast of magic. Just being near where it was sent chills down to her bone. Hikari shuddered as she looked at her guild master, wondering what on Earthland had happened. However, this was a fight that was beyond the holy mage's power level. Nevertheless, she could assist her guild master in all ways that she was capable of.

Hikari flew above behind Izayuki and a javelin would form in her hands. Throwing the javelin into the earth, a giant ethereal tree would form, glowing in a golden light with golden leaves beginning to swirl around in the area. This should empower the tanuki in the ways that she needs it. Summoning a harp, the holy mage would play a chord, summoning arrows behind her. Pointing towards Astrid, arrows would begin quickly flying at the silver haired woman. As they flew, Hikari summoned a grimoire and reading it, runes slowly covering the area. At this point, Hikari's focus was empowering her guild master as much as possible. This was clearly a battle of life and death at this point, and Hikari wasn't sure when it'd end. This was the least she could do to help defend her guild though, and she wasn't going to give up without putting in all the effort that she could.
