Personality:
Harland Crawford, he has seen it all. From wars and skirmishes to peace and serenity. From guilds falling apart to new guild rise to glory, married and divorced. All his endeavors and experience have molded him into the man he is today, most people calling him too old and set in his own ways. A mostly inflexible man who isn't scared to take hard decisions even if that makes him hated among them. Some even would call him bitter and a harsh man, incapable of sensing a other persons emotions.
For instance this shows strongly, when he is talking about that sacrifices have to be made for the greater good or isn't afraid to say that evil has to be put down swiftly and hard. Even though he doesn't easily approve of using massive weaponry to put them down he isn't afraid to use it.
But besides all this he is a good person at heart, just not the most gentle soul. But he cares none the less about other people, he just barely shows it. He is just convinced to protect them you have to go to certain lengths, being a father to two children and a grandfather to five. He knows as anyone other how important those close to you are.

Even though he is strict with his own family, after all the Crawford family is a name with high regards. And as the head of that family he expects that the other family members have to hold that name high as well. So he doesn't easily tolerate family members using the name for granted. As he says, it's a privilege to be a part of the Crawford family.
Outside his family he is mostly strict and stern towards people, and mostly doesn't show much kindness, however he is more relaxed around certain people who he does trust and respect personally and would even let his guard down among them. However to strangers he doesn't give his trust quickly and it is hard to earn his respect from him.

He is not directly the leading type however he does expect that his words are taken seriously. And probably wants other people to do what he says, so let's say he does well in a team if they listen to him. This shows in battle as well, not that he fights a lot. He is an old man and thinks his fighting days are way beyond him. But when in battle it is said that he does go to extreme lengths to achieve his goal and dispose of his enemy. Not afraid to make the hard decisions and sacrifice lives or that of his own. A man that is not scared and barely moves in a battle, as head strong he is normally, in battle he is twice that. A proud and stern man, so in battle he will mostly stay in the same place where he stands.
His magic shows the same head strong attitude as himself, a magic basically based on high defense. And to punish those hard an swiftly. It probably has been molded just as he his through his past experiences.
