Re: CHEMICAL REACTIONS Δ solo, job
The teenager pushed open the shop door with a gentle hand, it moved with slight hesitation, creaking ensued. Upon being pushed far enough a little gold painted now rusted bell clanged to let everybody know of another's arrival. Though she saw no purpose for the little instrument as the creaking of the door seemed to warn the store-goers just fine. But the Nov wasn't here to critic the noises made at the entrance, but for a job posted on the outside window that she saw as she was passing by. Requesting people to make new potions, the pay would be one thousand jewels, which she knew to be the currency of this planet. Before she could properly call out a greeting, a large man with salt and pepper hair, dressed up in a messy apron and pair of pants and t-shirt shirt that didn't appear to fit his figure the best.
"Greetings young sir, see the flyer outside and come in to help this old man?" The burly man asked in a equally as hefty and joyful tone of voice. Delta thought he looked like a more muscular, less hairy, Saint Nicholas. Right as she was going to respond he laughed and patted her on the back with a harsh thud, shoving her forward slightly, though she caught herself. He just continued talking and walking, not even noticing he almost made her fall over, just as much as he didn't notice she was a girl and not a boy, not that it really mattered to the brunette. She had much more important things to worry about then if people got her gender right or not.
"I'm glad your here, not much people have been coming around, and I've been losing business." The man said pushing his way through a doorway, the Vessel rolled her brown eyes muttering "I wonder why" sarcastically, under her breath. Which of course, the man didn't hear over the sound of him telling her his whole life story."Well here is where you'll be working young man, all you need is right here, all set up and labelled by your's truly" He said, rather proud of himself, though she didn't understand why because it was horribly sorted, and she was pretty sure most, if not all, of the bottles and containers were mislabeled. How was his business still around if he was this much of a mess? The scientist sighed, cracking her knuckles and stretching, preparing herself for having to not only make a potion, but to fix this whole set up so it was to her liking.
As she rearranged things, switching the labels and pouring out the useless things like pickle juice and a smoothie and other things that were in some of the beakers, the man was jabbering away. Sitting in a chair, his hairy hands moving around to help explain his stories such as "You know this business has been in my family for generations" and some really weird stories like one about some fish flying around and destroying his shop. So at this point, the Nov had it with him, she preferred silence when she worked, and she was having none of it. When she attempted to wear her headphones to block out the sound, he just pulled them from her head to get her attention.
So finally she created a potion and handed it to the man "Drink up" she said, shoving a cup up into his face "What's this?" he asked as he drank it."Anesthesia, to knock you out so I can actually get some work done" Delta said bluntly, watching his confused expression turn sleepy, then proceeding to watch him collapse to the floor. "Finally, some peace and quiet" she said with a sigh of relief, and she started mixing some potions that would benefit the business, probably for a day before he ruined it again. She labeled all the ones she made 'invisibility', 'flight', 'speed', 'strength', and things of the sort. She then grabbed the one thousand jewels kept within a pouch on the heavy man's hip, and then left, not wanting to have to deal with the man anymore.
