    Finally!!! [Intro] 3374da01836d91ce4e95c6416f9401ac

A smile formed across Vincent's pale lips when he noticed the castle cold stone walls. He pulled his cloak closer to his body, hoping that he would find warmth within the castle he pushed forward. When he was a little boy, growing up within the regions of Eastmarch, he would have never saw snow fall like this or experience such freezing cold weather. To say that he was out of his element would be a understatement, and he was currently having a hard time adapting to the cold weather. "I am almost there" he muttered under his breath, watching the cold air condense the moisture within his breath into tiny droplets of liquid water and ice. If his familiar was here, the crow would have been perched on his shoulder, and he would have been mentally cursing him out for Vincent taking him into such a cold climate.

But since Vincent did not know theses people well, he decided to leave the crow familiar behind. So no doubt right now Ainur would be perched next to a fire enjoying the warmth, lucky little buzzard. Sometimes Vincent wished that he could simply dominate the creatures mind and live life as a crow: life would be so much easier than.

One of the million snowflakes fell onto Vincent's porcelain mask and down onto his shoulder, where it collected into the mounds of snow that he was tracking through. If only he could be one of those divine creatures from his realm, those that could take to the skies in the form of dragons or great eagles, that would make traveling so much easier. But no he had to be a mortal, someone who could not change his shape to take to the skies, someone who was weak and pathetic. His eyes started to flare with anger, and he clenched his fist. If Ainur was here he would know the right words to calm Vincent down, but the stupid bird decided to be lazy and sleep next to a fire and stay warm. "You know Ainur, if I get into this guild I am going to make you fly here" he grumbled to himself, great he was now talking to himself.

Vincent turned around to admire the snow tracks they made, and decided that it was time to stop his grumbling. Eventually after what seemed to be hours of walking through the snow, Vincent finally arrived at the front of the fortress. For a moment he wondered if he should actually join this evil guild: furthermore, he wondered if they would let him in.  Granted he would do anything in order to recreate his coven and avenge the death of his mother, his mother. The thought of her threatened to bring tears, but he managed to replace sadness with anger and open the door to the devil's den. He would not let his family down. Vincent couldn't help but feel a sense of fear rush through him, and he wondered what twisted creature shall greet him first.  With a note of hesitation Vincent alone entered into the cold fortress, past the doors and into the castle itself.

It was in the early afternoon that Ahote dared to leave the comfort of his room. As usual, he had been doing various tasks and studies for the past several hours. Days had passed since the boy had last slept, and the bed in which he would slumber remained untouched by either his fleshed or metal fingers. However, his activeness was nothing out of the ordinary. He was an oddity, a young workaholic who fixated himself on many trifles in order to keep his mind occupied.

However, any boy at this age could not find an absolute delight in studies and literature alone. It was not the texts in his room that sustained him, as much as it fueled him, but the aimless wandering, cooking, cleaning, talking, and thinking that occurred in between. From time to time over a span of hours, he would exit his room and into the dimly lit halls of the Basilisk fortress, always greeted by its familiar dusty air and chilly temperatures.

Up until recently, he alone would lurk about these corridors. He alone would think, sleep, drink, eat. Or, at least as far as he knew. But with the sudden introduction of Katherine and absences of a various many others, the feeling of isolation no longer seemed so prevalent.

Dressed in a short sleeved, black shirt and beige shorts, Ahote strolled down the corridors of Basilisk Fang and into the tavern, which contained the kitchen and the closest thing to a living room, and was also the space nearest to the entrance of the fortress. By his side, or at least trailing behind, was his acquaintance, Katherine. Earlier, he felt his stomach twist and turn, hungry for some sort of nutrition. But frankly, he was far too comfortable to move from his desk, and so he remained idle. But hours passing, it seemed as if hunger drove him away from his studies and down the halls together with his crimson haired friend. Really, she was required to come along and he hadn't planned on fixing a meal for them both to share, but for himself. The company was appreciated.

Stepping into the space, Ahote noticed an abnormal difference in temperatures between the tavern and the area by the entrance. A chilliness that anyone who homed themselves on this snow covered rock could recognize. With raised brows, the raven haired youth felt more surprised that the stranger, if a stranger, would waltz into their grounds in silence. But only an investigation could tell. Quietly, the boy came to a halt, peering wearily at the wall that separated the tavern and the large, heavy doors leading to everlasting winter of Mt. Hakobe, "Stop. It appears we will have to make a detour to greet whomever just walked in. Regardless, keep your guard up, Katherine. he ordered before resuming his pace, which he knew Katherine would as well.

Quickly, the pair would find the light of Mt. Hakobe's clouded skies shine into the darkness of their fortress, and at the tip of the light cast stood a black haired masked man. Ahote crossed his arms over his chest, topaz hues examining the stranger, "And who might you be? I do hope you know where you are, for your own sake and my convenience." he questioned.

    Another comes...

Up until this point, Katherine had spent most of her time napping or helping Ahote with various things. The mage had gotten over their feud for the most part and had calmed down significantly, not much bothered anymore that she was stuck with the Basilisks. The boy had finally decided to leave his work and get something to eat, which she was thankful for. She knew it was just for him and she wasn't hungry anyway, so she followed at his side to the tavern, eager to just go for a walk. As soon as they crossed the threshold, however, the temperature change hit her like a fist to her stomach. She'd gotten used to it being warm and toasty, but then it was chilled with the biting winds of the mountains outside the fortress walls. Her navy sweater wasn't enough to keep out the cold and she shivered.

He stopped suddenly, so she did the same. He mentioned having to take a detour, that there was a visitor. "Keep your guard up." He said. She would sure try her best to, but the cold wouldn't make it very easy. They walked out to the heavy doors of the fortress then and the mage's knees buckled a little. It was just as freezing as she had remembered and it made her weak just to be near it. The chances of her getting into trouble for such an action later were pretty high, but to keep herself somewhat warm, she huddled herself at Ahote's back. His body heat was just barely enough, but it would work until they closed the doors or she could get back to the fireplace. She felt his voice rumble through his back then. There was someone there, someone he didn't know and that mildly frightened her. From where she stood she could see their shadows cast across the stone floor. Hers, his and another.

She took a risk and looked over Ahote's shoulder. There stood a masked man, dark and about as mysterious to her and she had been to Ahote when they'd first met. "Um...How often do you get visitors here?" She whispered into his ear.

    Vincent Valkorion

    Finally!!! [Intro] 3374da01836d91ce4e95c6416f9401ac

It wasn't his first time exploring a castle. When he was little Vincent would often travel with his mother to the various ancient fortresses from the first struggle of his realm, and help he discover lost treasures and whatnot. This would be however his first time exploring a castle in this unknown world and furthermore, it would be his first time exploring a castle with human or mostly human inhabitents. The fortresses within his world was usually filled with the undead or other foul creatures created by Mitatron: the evil god in his realm. But that was during the times Vincent wouldn't be forced to study somesort of arcane text that held many secrets of the dark arts. Ah, those where the good times doing nothing but reading ancient books, having people waiting on you hand and foot, and simply being rich and free.

Of course now those days are gone, no thanks to those twisted witch hunters. Luckily his mother managed to muster up the rest of her magic, and send him to this divine forsaking world they known as Fiorie. That memory of his mother literally burning up due to the amount of magical energy raised; it haunts him. Vincent can't even go to sleep or close his eyes without having that scene play-out in his head all over again, it was a constant reminder that he needed revenge on the people who wronged him. Which was the reason he was here.

Turning his attention to what seemed to be the main hall or living-room of the castle. Vincent was trying to figure out what he should do. He didn't want to make such a loud scene and alarm everyone of his presences, which would also know doubt piss people off. Should he have sent letter by mail? At this moment he was somewhat confused and simply standing in front of the entrances, letting the cold wind from the everlasting winter, into the castle: maybe he should shut the door? It was the best course of action to shows some manners and close the door, as to not freeze everyone within the castle and pee them off. So Vincent turned his attention to the large wooden reinforced doors, and then use his weight to push the doors shut.

Then he heard someone's voice and for some reason felt a moment of panic. He wasn't as powerful as he was in his realm and he was sure that anyone within this guild could dispose of him quickly, and would do so without any hesitation. "Relax I mean you no harm" he murmured softly under his breath: he placed on a slick but bratty smile. Which was hidden underneath his mask. He turned around to see a rather cute boy with black hair, and dressed pair of beige shorts and a black short sleeve shirt. Noticing someone behind the boy Vincent knew that he was ultimately screwed if a fight is to break out. So he decided to play thing's safe.

"My name is Vincent Valkorion, the last survivor of the Valkhorion coven." He introduced himself with a note of pride. "Now I think it is only fair that you introduce yourself and ah your friend to me, it would only be fair" he paused for a moment, and reached over to take off his mask and clip it to his belt. Reveling his crimson red eyes and pleasant facial features: as well as his slick smile. "Then we can get to the important stuff, like why I am here, what you are going to do to me" he yawned like a child. "That stuff"

Post by Ahote 28th December 2017, 10:48 am

Ahote remained idle when the stranger would respond to his demanding requests with a cheeky tone. Far too friendly did he act with the residents of the fortress. Although, Ahote was no stranger to this tone of his. In the time he had spent at the Basilisk Fortress, anyone would eventually get their fair share of cheekiness or arrogance, or perhaps even disrespect. Though, these behaviors were far more prevalent when Sol and Aguya were present, which seemed to be far from the case after noticing the fortress's calmness and the inactivity in his castle.

Ahote raised his metal arm to his raven threads, pushing them back behind his ears to create a clearer view of the man in front of him. He was taller than him, for sure, but most people were anyway. He had long, messy black hair, as he already observed earlier. His body figure, however, remained a mystery as it had been submerged under several layers of clothing. It was the little details the boy had took into consideration for his own security. As far as the man went, he didn't seemed to appear to be a hazard, but his lax attitude could also be a symbol of his comfort in a tense situation. He could prove to be otherwise, though Ahote had doubted that possibility.

The man had finally introduced himself as Vincent Valkorion, a lovely name that rolled off the tongue nicely. Following that statement did he claim that he was the last survivor the Valkhorion Coven, a place, group, or person that Ahote could not recall ever knowing, and therefore attached no significance to. Though, it did peak his interest. What happened to this coven and what did this Vincent character do to survive? All questions to ask much later.

Ahote raised his brows at Vincent's confidence, truly a remarkable characteristic to have in such a very intense, heavy guild. There were only three possibilities when it came to this man's reason for his arrival: joining Basilisk Fang, seeking conference with Famine, or a hopelessly curious traveler. It seemed the third option was far less likely than the first two.

The youth's topaz hues rolled over to his shoulder, which supported the weight of the chilled Katherine who spoke as if this scenario was a qualm, "Quite often, as of late. Most visitors wish to join Famine's cause. . . observe." he whispered back.

Finally, Ahote had returned his attention to the wandering Vincent with his still-raised brows, "Fair it would be if I did such a thing for you, and under normal circumstances,
I would've. But having an uninvited guest here before us, our names are irrelevant until you detail your purpose in being here."
Ahote retorted, arms returning to their crossed position against his chest, "For now, you can identify me as the present authority figure and his colleague. Now, speak."

    Observe

The strange man shut the guild doors and she began to warm up again, the cold air that had seeped in disapating into the rest of the fortress. The mage separated herself from the boy, no longer needing his warmth, and crossed her arms. Katherine tilted her chin forward and her ponytail swished with the movement as she listened quietly to the exchange happening before her. The man's name was Vincent and he seemed friendly enough, but there was something about him that put her off. She couldn't quite place it...

Ahote spoke and crossed his own arms, so she dropped hers to her sides. I don't really think you would have been fair at all... She thought, looking at him out of the corner of her functioning eye with a slight frown before returning her attention to Vincent. More fell from the boy's mouth and she scoffed quietly. "Colleague my ass..." She mumbled and laughed to herself when he ordered the man to speak. She was sure she could have said something to him herself, but she didn't feel like provoking any possible misfortune on her part, so she remained quiet by the boy's side.

    Vincent Valkorion

    Finally!!! [Intro] 3374da01836d91ce4e95c6416f9401ac

Vincent's crimson hues for a moment flared like fire, before quickly returning to their dull bland state. For a moment he wondered if theses two mages in front of him was the best that this guild had to offer, but that thought quickly disappeared. He didn't know who this little fellow in front of him was, and he didn't know who his companion was. From the tone of his voice Vincent would have made a educated guess that this person was either protected by someone powerful or that he himself was powerful in some way or form. Though he decided that now wouldn't be the best time to take action on such speculations, after all he was still a little tired from his journey. And with out his dear sweet familiar Ainur here, he felt even more weakened and vulnerable. Those crimson hues turned his attention to the girl that was behind him indeed the odds are not in his favor, but he quietly wondered why she was hiding behind him.

Taking notice in the metal arm, Vincent couldn't help but find it fascinating. In his realm technology both arcane and mundane was limited, so seeing someone with a metal arm was rather interesting and new to the Sorcerer. He made mental note to question the other male before him how he got the arm, and what happened to his old arm. Currently he didn't have the right to ask such a personal question, but he would ask him when they get to know each other a little better. If that was to happen. Once again he turned his attention to the figure hanging off the male's shoulder, and he couldn't help but wonder if they are a thing. 'Ewww' he thought to himself. Relationships are one thing that Vincent was not allowed to do, unless it was to gain power, besides that it was considered a weakness. A big no, no for him.

He once again turned his attention to the girl that glancing over his shoulder, her quietness was starting to worry him. Could there have been a trapped placed around him or are they preparing to attack him, nonetheless he continued his confident demeanor. "Say, why aren't you talking?" he questioned bluntly before placing his attention on the male. "Why am i here? Why are all members of this guild here? I think you know the answer to that. I wont answer anymore questions until you two reveal who yourselves are, then I will tell you everything you need to know about me" he placed on his charming smile again, and folded his arms over his chest. "But I will say this I am here to help the guild, that is if the guild can help me"

Ahote felt the weight lift from his back as Katherine would remove herself and stand independently. She was almost abnormally sensitive to the chilly weather, as it was only the mountain winds that blew into the comfort of the fortress, also rivaling the heat being released by the fireplace. He took note of that and resolved to provide her with extra sheets when she would be able to dorm by herself.

The boy peered over to Katherine upon making her hushed comment, rolling his eyes with a weak smile, "Hush." he mumbled, nudging her in the shoulder. It was amusing, this interaction between them, both understanding that she was not a colleague, but something much less than. It was was a rather dark exchange of jabs between the two, but he appreciated them nonetheless.

Ahote's gaze returned to Vincent, who had a notable presence, and frowned in his comment on Katherine's silence. The boy suppressed the urge to retaliate and remained silent as he continued on, detailing his purpose in being here. It came to no surprise that Vincent would respond arrogantly, Ahote already understanding it must take a rather arrogant person to walk into private property and have such demands.

Softly, Ahote sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose in feeling the man's comments wear him down into a state of absolute jadedness. "Listen, mister Valkorion," he pointed to the two large doors behind their guest, "you may leave now. I shouldn't have to explain this for obvious reasons, but we are not obligated to disclose any sensitive information like that until you clearly state your purpose in being here. . . what you said was more of a riddle than it was a statement." the boy would scoff. Although his words were rather harsh, his tone was soft and tired. He was far beyond getting angry and was more thinking of how to get rid of a weird trespasser.

"If you're here to join the guild, I think you must understand that you don't speak to the residents here as if they are stupid. Now, if you will please leave. . ." Ahote stepped forward, closer to the door in order to indicate that he should start moving, "Here, we value respect and cooperation. If you have none of those things,
you are not welcomed here, my friend."

    Laughable

At Ahote's jab to her shoulder she grunted in contempt. As for Vincent's questioning of her silence, she figured she might as well have some fun with her forced muteness. Glancing at the boy next to her beforehand, she waved her hand at Vincent to grab his attention. Then, in the most ridiculous manner she could muster, she gestured to Ahote, crossed her arms in an 'X' in front of her, and made a zipping motion over her lips. She finished her miming with a shrug and a roll of her eyes. All of this she hoped would convey that the boy wasn't allowing her to speak with him by any means. Katherine tried not to laugh at her own joke and covered her mouth with her hand as she looked up at Ahote with her good eye. She really did hope he'd seen it, both of them actually. For how low her status was she felt the need to spice things up a little, but this might have been at the expense of her own comfort.

The woman had seen Ahote angry before, but this type was a lot different. For all that he might be miffed about he stayed unsettlingly calm. He was asking Vincent to leave, and he was right; they really weren't at any obligation to release their private information, but the way she saw it, neither was Vincent. It seemed to her that they were stuck in a kind of rut here.Men... she scoffed to herself, and put herself forward and sat herself cross-legged on the stone floor of the entrance hall between the two of them. If she couldn't speak, she could at least act as a buffer. Katherine glanced back at Ahote with a small smile and wriggled in her place to get more comfortable. For all she knew she could be there for hours. Returning her gaze to Vincent, she folded her hands in her lap and sat straight, raising her eyebrows at him.

There was a point when Ahote said two things that set her off.

She burst out laughing. The kind where you have to clutch your stomach because it hurts. She couldn't help but break her streak of silence.

"Oh my God! You're hilarious! Don't speak to the residents here as if they are stupid, you say. Kid, you treat me like a dog on the daily, you're no better than you're mother on that one. Here, we value respect and cooperation. Really? That feels like a lie to me. I don't even have my own bed! I'm not going to even mention all of the things you've done since you brought me here. That's just... Mm." She puts her fist to her lips and shuts her eyes."Anyway, that's besides the point. Both of you are being ridiculous. Introduce yourselves properly, shake hands and have a civil conversation like real men would." She tosses her hair over her shoulder then and stares at Ahote. "You know, I would love a glass of wine right now, but I'm not allowed to leave your sight. Stop stressing me out." With a rolling of her shoulders, she sits back in her original position and crosses her arms over her chest. "You may continue."

Die A Hero, Or Live Long Enough To See Yourself Become The Villain

Sapphires gleamed in the darkness hanging against the ceiling behind the mysterious guest and something shifted behind those shadows which encompassed the ceiling, the banisters, and corners.

Like a spider, the dark form made a quick descent. Both a signature dark hood and its wearers brunette braid swept reaching down towards the floor; obedient to the will of gravity. Her fingers kneaded up around of inky blackness which seemed to encase all the high walls, the ceiling, of the dusty and crumbling fort. She’d bent them around like ropes. Famine's palms soon released from the somehow tangible shadow and her form whirled to the ground several feet from her; the balls of her feet swept to the icy and grit floor with the frailness of a flickering candle, crouching only slightly with the landing as if the earth she hit was delicate as an eggshell. A seasoned assassin, She always had a knack for invisible footsteps and unanticipated entrances.

Lifting from the ground she knelt to keep balance she retained the rest of her height now standing to the side of the new mage in Her, Ahote, and Katherine’s presence. She turned to look at the two, silently popping her hood back on top of her head. There was no question. Famine's heard every word from her perch.

She had little problems with how her boy had handled the situation thus far. He was cautious. He knew the pain Famine had faced in this guild by expecting the best from a person.

“You're the hilarious one I find, puppy. Ahote has a right to be cautious in this place. How do we know shaking a strangers hand won’t somehow burn his other one off.” Famine stepped past the newcomer, a hand tapping his shoulder soft and as though apologetically and asking for his patience as she tended to her acquaintance. “Respect is something we gain from our peers through dedication to this guild and undivided allegiance and formally not being a pain in the ass. Ignorance is not a right to you yet along with respect.”

A cruel look and a pause came from Famine before her attention shifted back to the proper subject. The mage that had come out of the cold.

“Though... I hope you will have a better time coming to grasp this concept.” She stepped away from her son and his company, "Your name is Vincent Valkorion. This is my guild. I’ll answer your questions if you….most truly wish to devote your life to our cause. If I find otherwise I’ll have to take care of you somehow else. She quipped to the guest with a soft smirk and a sharpness in her eyes like daggers.

    Vincent Valkorion

    Finally!!! [Intro] 3374da01836d91ce4e95c6416f9401ac

Vincent had a rather bad knack for causing trouble and mischief. It was probably something that he has obtained from years of being a spoiled and rotten little brat. Before he was forced into this realm Vincent would take join in causing mischief among his coven members, something which would often get him into trouble with his mother. Sadly those days are gone now, something which he missed greatly. Usually he wouldn't be this taunting and cocky, his crow often served as his voice of reason, calming him down when he entered into this phase of insanity. He wouldn't be this insane and well chaotic if it wasn't for the blasted book, the secrets of his magic, and the source of his art. Which was currently tucked away in a secure location.

Glancing over the male's shoulder he noticed that the girl was making gestures with her hands. First she crossed her arms over each other like a 'X' and then made a zipping gesture with her mouth, it didn't take Vincent long to understand what she was talking about. "Ah I see" he muttered to himself, and then shifted his attention to the male in front of him. He knew that by now he should probably stop with his toying around and get to the more important stuff, "Fine fine we will have it your way then, now I wish to~" He was fixing to end the little argument before the girl spoke up, and he starred at her with the most confused expression ever. 'Why was she laughing' he thought to himself, did he say something funny? Does he have something in his hair? What was happening.

When he caught on to what she was saying Vincent couldn't help but give a devilish smirk. For some reason he found this entire thing to be rather amusing, but then again it was time to end the laughing and chit chat. "Forgive me for my arrogance I have a problem you see, my familiar serves as my consciousness most of the time. And well you see" he paused for a moment when he noticed a shadow drop from the ceiling, like a spider dropping down to the ground. His breath hitched for a moment, and a distant memory found its way back to the surfaces. A memory in which his mother conjured a spider demon from the Dark Lands and attempted to bend it to his will, Vincent touched the bridge of his noise: where a small scar laid.

The fire within his crimson hues seemed to quickly disappear and for a moment he stood, frozen, and speechless. That was until he felt someone tap on his shoulder, which caused him to jump three feet in the air. "Forgive me madam" he muttered when he managed to find his voice. "My name is Vincent Valkorion and I seek to make a deal with the person known as lady Famine" he whispered underneath his breath, any signs of the cocky boy disappeared. The women behind of her reminded him of a creature from his realm, one of the Dark Celestial. "Forgive me if I sound rude madam but you remind me of someone......" he murmured softly before turning his attention to the boy and girl. "Ah I see. Anyway. Since I have delivered you my name, and goal my I get yours..........." he questioned softly.

Ahote was tired. Very tired. At what point would it be understandable for him to burst in the response of impudent girl and an arrogant wannabe? There were times he's even considered physical punishment. But the feeling of flesh against flesh, bone against bone, although full of adrenaline and thrill in the moment, felt upsetting afterwards. The boy decided not to succumb to any violent tendencies induced by his own frustrations and qualms.

As expected, his mother was quick to arrive to the scene, if she hadn't already been present the entire time. She was perhaps one of the sneakier members in the fortress, lurking more than the actually lurkers, hearing, listening, watching. It was both a creepy and equally terrifying thought that he had grown used to. But he felt neither, having nothing to hide from his caregiver. If anything, he wanted to spend more time with her. But having been guildmaster, she never seemed to have time for him like the ideal family. The boy never minded, as he'd rather have some of her time than none at all.

In seeing in mother, he briefly forgot what unadulterated contempt he felt for Katherine and her snide remarks. His posture remained calm and relax, but his topaz orbs flared with rage and malice, Treat her like a dog on the daily? Mention all the things I've done since she's been here? Stressing her out? This ungrateful. . . noisy. . . stuck-up bitch. I've been nothing but kind to her. . . given her a roof over her head, cooked for her, let her sleep in my bed until I can find her her own. . . and this is how I am repaid? I'm sick of it. . . sick of it. . . sick of it. . . sick of it. . . He thought to himself, fuming silently, until finally he felt himself no longer able to resist leaving the situation.

Smiling, he rose his head only to quickly dip it in greeting to Famine, "It seems you have everything under control here, I think I'll head back to my room then." Ahote would then turn and begin to walk before abruptly coming to a soft halt, peering back over his shoulder, "Vincent, was it? See you later. Or not. Guess it depends on what happens here next. Good luck." he spoke softly, returning back to his pace and ambling back down the corridor without so much a look to Katherine. She'd follow, maybe she wouldn't. He didn't care. He simply wanted to go back to reading.

    Remorse
Catching the eye of Famine as she dropped down, Katherine felt a sudden hole open up in her gut, sucking up her insides until there would eventually be nothing left but the shell of a stupid, stupid woman. She was even too upset to retort when the snake called her puppy. It didn't bother her as much as she liked to act that it did, but right now all she was focused on was Ahote. The boy was fuming, she could tell, and all she wished for then and there was to rewind and swallow her words before she could speak them. Maybe she'd gotten a little too into the moment and said too much. Actually, there was no maybe about it. She'd just screwed herself hardcore. Her heart pounded in her chest so hard she thought it might break throught her ribcage and fall to the floor at Famine's feet for her to crush. With a thick gulp she stepped back toward Ahote and away from Vincent and Satan herself.

As the regret filled mage turned back to the boy, he was already making his leave, having already said his bitter goodbyes. She panicked and caught up to him as quickly as she could. Grabbing his arm, she tried to stop him but he pulled away and ignored her all together. She'd really done it this time. "I'm sorry! I'm sorry, I don't know what came over me. I didn't mean all of it, I am grateful I swear!" He didn't acknowledge her in the slightest and kept walking, so she could only do the same with a terrible fear sending shivers down her spine.

Die A Hero, Or Live Long Enough To See Yourself Become The Villain

A gentle chuckle passed her pursed lips “That’s me. They call me Famine.” The mage grinned with a smile that glinted mischievously with the same malevolence of a bone saw. “You want to serve this guild? It does seem that you've come to the right place.” She muttered in that gentle hiss of hers, moving to scope around him like a predator may pace its prey. She looked him over, how he stood, where is eyes set, his demeanor and had yet to find anything that intimidated her--- but Famine was not underwhelmed either. This was good. “Finally, Someone comes into this guild that I could work with.” She purred a little to herself, but loud enough for Vincent to make out the words. Famine slowly stepped out of her pacing and made a line for the steps in the back of the Guildhall, stepping back so that her eyes stayed on their newest guest. “Come with me… We will get you situated.” Famine smirked, turning finally, one heel after the other going up the steps.

They’d go up to her office, and be civil about their recruitment, something so many who misbehaved missed out on. The meeting was an opportunity to impress the guild master and guarantee a mage a time to climb the ranks of Basilisk fang much more quickly. She’d evaluate him, look into his origins wherever she could, test his magic, discover his strengths, weaknesses and end the time they had together with the tattoo that’d make him the guild’s property for a lifetime.

(OOC: I’m taking a bit of a hiatus so this will be my last post I'm sorry if I lack words/details, you can post one last time if you want but I’ve chosen to be brief in regards to his exchange with Famine. The important part is that she thinks he is behaved enough and has allowed him in the guild with little troubles)
