As Darius' continuous remarks got more and more on Yona's nerves, he simply smirked in response to her threat, shrugging casually before offering the woman a hand. However, when she took his hand, she deliberately yanked him down on the ground, the mage falling into the stream, his clothes getting soaked, Sovesir Mitne clattering onto the ground beside the stream.
Darius frowned, more than a little annoyed that his clothes were soaking wet, but then grinned as he quipped again, "You know, if you wanted me to take off my clothes, there are easier ways than this."
He flashed a quick grin before unbuttoning his shirt, revealing his lean, muscular frame. His features were accentuated by the glistening water on his chest. Darius knew he looked good, and he loved it. He shook his head, his flowing white hair letting loose before running a hand down his scalp, slicking back his hair.
"Like what you see?" He asked coyly, before wringing his shirt to squeeze the water out of it.
However, the playful banter (Darius' playful banter at least), subsided when he noticed three monsters heading their direction. He quickly slid on his usual button up white shirt, rolling up his sleeves. As the mage noted about the incoming enemies, Yona matter-of-factly stated that she had noticed them earlier. Raising a brow, he irritatingly asked, "Why the hell didn't you tell me about this sooner?"
As Yona conjured up a spell which seemed to conjure rain, the Desierto mage couldn't help but ask, "What is this spell meant to do?"
However, the reply would've had to come quickly since the monsters had already arrived, one hybrid ahead of the other two as it aimed and fire a blast of frost from it's mouth.
"Shit!" He yelped, jumping away last minute, dodging the blast.
What the monster hadn't realised, however, was that it had coated itself in Yona's sticky sap. The monster attempted to swoop in nearer to the ground, and trying to strike Darius, but ended up missing because the sap got into its eyes. The swordsman grinned So that's what it does, Darius said in his mind, before charging at the beast.
The hybrid giant, stood roughly half the size of the elemental construct, and would've been faster than the construct if Yona's spell hadn't affected it.The first hybrid went in for another attack, attempting to punch Darius, but he managed to duck under the beast's arm and thrust Sovesir Mitne into the beast's elbow, allowing the blade to dig in into the flesh, blood squirting out of the wound before Darius twisted the handle of the rapier, further wounding the hybrid. Before it could have the chance to yank away its arm, however, Darius ripped out the blade, causing more blood to squirt out of it's elbow.
The monster, crying out in pain, grasped its damaged elbow; the entire arm seemed to be neutralised because his forearm was limp. Darius grinned, not letting another moment be wasted for this poor sod of a hybrid, and began to cut at the beast. The white-haired mage took advantage of his rapier's low weight to begin to repeatedly jab at the half-dragon: once, twice, three times, then four. The beast was about to let out another roar from its mouth, but Darius knew better and combat rolled to the left side of the monster, and sending two swift jabs into stomach. The sap seemed to have slowed the beast, and none of its attacks were fast enough to strike the nimble Black Sails mage. Blood was oozing from the many wounds that had been inflicted by Darius, and the beast was panting.
"Let me put you out of your misery, mutt." Darius said coldly, before slashing at its chest, then running in for one final stab, impaling the monster and killing it. He pushed the half-dragon, half giant, off of his blade, then looked at Yona.
What he hadn't realised however, is that during his battle, the two hybrid giants, one around 12 feet tall, and the other one 15, were slowly pacing towards the green-haired mage. The sap had slowed them down, but it seemed like Yona was going to need his help.
