Job Title: Floating Continent: Catheim
Rank: S
Player Requirements: Leila and another mage of equal or higher rank
Job Requirements: At least 20,000 words total
Job Location: Unknown Land
Job Description:
The first push has been made and Leila was able to enter the inner part of the first floating Island along with her crew. But now, there is a new problem aside from the usual hostile environment and wildlife that would love to chew the poor girl more than anything else. At first, it appeared that there were no other properly intelligent species in this place, but strange cat-like creatures appeared out of nowhere and showed signs of organized actions. It seems that they have a tribe nearby and it would be best to get them onto friendly terms rather than waging a war against the locals.
Friendly NPCs:
B-rank: Seras - A basilisk mage who specializes in Communication magic. She can't really fight and has to be escorted to the tribe, as they seem to speak in an unknown tongue and Seras might just be the only one who can act as a translator here.
Enemies:
Weak: Undead Fighter - A reanimated skeleton wielding a shield and sword. They are fairly slow and weak-hitting but can block incoming attacks and do take a fair bit of punishment before they can be defeated.
Normal: Undead Warrior - A reanimated skeleton wielding a two-handed axe or hammer. But they seem to be strong enough to hold in in a single hand and swing it around like mad. While they are weaker than the fighters in terms how much they can take, their attacks hit much harder and they are also a fair bit faster.
Strong: Undead Mage - A reanimated skeleton wielding a staff. They do not attack from up close and will try to create some distance between themselves and their opponent. Unlike the other enemies, their attacks are large scale and much hard to avoid. But they are also a bit of a glass cannon, as they can be usually destroyed even with the weakest of attacks.
Boss: Necromancer's Monolith - A tall block of an unknown black mass that can raise up from the ground. It radiates with vile magic and will enrage nearby undead, making the hit much harder and move faster. When it forms, it will also send out a wave of energy that will bring back already defeated undead. This will happen at the start of every post until the monolith is destroyed. Which is no easy task either, as it is rather sturdy and ignores physical damage. The only way to break these is with magic.
Reward: Artifact(+) rank weapon for each participant
