- Job Information:
Rank: D
Player Requirements: 1x Any rank of mage, no limit to how many can participate. 500 words per person. 5 rolls per person involved. Boss counts a 2 strong.
Job Requirements: Explore the shoreline and find out what is going on.
Job Location: Any shoreline in Earthland. (Islands, port towns, etc.)
Job Description: Word of strange occurrences on the shoreline has reached your ears. Any number of people are willing to pay to find out was going on, but just plain curiousity may also be the reason for one to go and find out what is going on.
Enemies:
All enemies appear dead at first, as HUNDREDS of aquatic wildlife are on the shore for some reason. Nothing is wrong with them besides that they are out of the water. Attempts to put them back in the water will result in them beaching themselves again and attacking anyway.
Weak:
Dying Fish x5; A large fish(your choice on what it is) is out of the water, aggressively attacking anything near it out of fear. Takes any 1 hit of damage to kill, due to how weak it is. They deal no damage and are a minor inconvenience.
Normal:
Dying Shark x2; A shark of some kind begins flailing about nearby. They're teeth are a threat, dealing 1.5 D ranks of spell damage if they bite you. They take 3 D ranks of spell damage to take down.
Strong:
Whale x1; A whale has beached itself as well, flailing in the same frustration as the others. A hit from this mighty beast, whether by tail, mouth, or fin, will deal 2 D ranks of spell damage to the poor sap struck. They take a whopping 10 D ranks to put out of their misery. Make sure to push the dead body into the water, else they will explode and cause trouble for those that have to run clean-up of the shoreline!
Boss:
N/A
Reward:
Normal D rank exp
2k jewels to each person involved. (Total jewels from those interested in the information on what was going on.)

Asteris felt that there was something fishy going on. He had taken a request, and by 'taken a request' he meant 'swooped in on a job board again, picked out an interesting job again, returned the board by dropping it at a safe height again', that called for the investigation of some strange happenings across the shores of various islands. Asteris was curious what the job meant by strange happenings and decided that it was probably worth a small looking into.
The fact that he was harboring an appetite for fish at the moment had nothing to do with his choice.
Several hours later at a small island in the east of Fiore, Asteris began his investigation. Dragons rarely did any investigation, most of them fought each other over territory and belongings. There were very few smart dragons like Asteris but he was one of the rare few that ventured away like he did. He passed and circled over the island a few times looking for anything strange. When he found nothing out of the ordinary, except a larger and average coconut that was hastily enjoyed, he left and moved on to the next island.
That quickly became his routine. Circle an island from above while searching for anything strange, any thing interesting he stops for, if he finds nothing after half an hour he moves on to the next island. In the next two hours he found a bottle with a message in it, a shiny rainbow sea shell, old coins that he quickly pocketed in his pocket scales, and a starfish that stuck to his left leg that he decided no to take off just yet. It was in his fifth island that he found something strange.
"...What's this?" He stared at the seashore of the fifth island. He knew that sometimes aquatic creatures would was ashore, but never had he seen several different aquatic animals wash ashore in such quantity.
He carefully landed on the beach, feeling the sand shift slightly under his weight. He could see fishes, sharks, and a lone whale, lying on the sun warmed sands. Asteris assumed that they were dead due to them not reacting to his presence. Quietly he picked up a fish and threw it back into the water. He was surprised to see that the fish he had thrown into the water leaped right out of it and flailed wildly on the sands.
As if on an unheard signal, all the creatures that Asteris had thought to be dead began to thrash and flail.
"What is going on here?" Asteris was perplexed with the sudden turn of events.
The sea creatures continued to flail about for two minutes before Asteris had decided he had seen enough. "Aura Dragon's Domain!" He fired a beam from his mouth into the skies, disappearing behind the clouds. Then several beams of magic fired down from the heavens, engulfing all the struggling creatures. The fishes died, apparent from their sudden lack of movement, but the sharks and the lone whale kept struggling. The two more waves of Aura Dragon's Domain fired down before stopping altogether.
Still perplexed, Asteris moved to the side and fired his Aura Ray, pushing all the sharks and the whale further and further into the water. The sharks ceased their movement but the whale stood strong, barely hurt by his magic.
"Reaper" A hooded shadow with a large scythe appeared next to Asteris, floating just above the sand. "Help me deal with this."
The Reaper looked between Asteris and the whale before tilting it's head as if to say 'Are you serious?'. It's body moved, as if it were sighing, before lifting it's scythe up and starting to hit the Whale. Asteris followed his Reaper and began to punch it back into the water until it succumbed to it's injuries.
"Well...glad that's over with...I still don't know what's going on..." Asteris muttered to himself as he flew away from the island as the whale exploded in the water.
