Job Description:
Many know the tales of the great bird of fire with a song that could tame dragons. Not many know that these same birds come in elemental variants, just like Dragons. Journey to the the planet Shinku in the Wakusei Portals and scour the dark land. When you come to what appears to be a shrine with a fist sized sphere colored grey and shining like a gem, you'll know you've arrived.
From under the ground, a 15 yard long (tip to tail) bird will rise on the other side of the shrine, spreading its' 30 yard windspan to cast a shadow that shimmers brilliantly. The bird itself gives off a type of ghostly aura. Your battle begins here. The Phoenix is Soul, Fire, and Air Element, therefore is naturally weak to Light, Dark, and Water attacks. It's abilities include, but are not limited to:
• Perform a breath attack of its' own element
• Absorb its' own element of magic through their feathers
• Use a wind attack that's partially its' own element
• Summon smaller elemental versions of itself
• Making it rain its' own element
• Become immune to magic completely regardless of rank for 1 post (once)
The Phoenix takes 25 hits of B Rank damage to take down. It's magic cannot be consumed by first, or second generation, or hybrid slayers but can be consumed by third generation slayers. When defeated, the bird won't actually die but rather bow to you before erupting into smoke. You may now approach the gem on the pedestal and take it. Upon touching the gem, you're given a vision of a pedestal with four orbs; Ice Blue, Crimson, Grey, and Black. You're also given a vision of the location of all four orbs, even though you already got one.
Ice Blue: A planet covered in snow.
Crimson: A world where the sky bleeds.
Grey: A place where magic reigns supreme.
Black: A land of oddities.

Samira watched the fight from where she stood, useless as the battle took to the air. It seemed to be going smoothly as Jing Wei offered support with her basic attacks and staying out of the way as Kaori handled the phoenix. The Lava Hawk Samira had the pleasure of meeting before on another mission had even made an appearance. How he managed to follow through a portal to another world without her knowing was anyone's guess. A sort of magic was likely involved and she was sure to make a mental note telling herself to ask. The final attack had soon been made, its power likely coming from the missing piece of the sword that had landed on the ground near her for she saw nothing else to explain the explosion of white energy. The legendary creature hit the mountain, shaking it and causing Samira to lose her balance with the result of her falling over backwards onto her butt. "Ow," she groaned softly and then watched with horror as the force of the impact cause what was remaining of the ancient platform to collapse into mere rubble. An eyetwitch occurred right before just giving up and allowing herself to fall all the way down so that she was lying on her back. An arm was lifted to cover her eyes as she pouted at the loss of knowledge the shrine likely contained. Why did there have to be such destruction around priceless antiquities?
'Great bird admits defeat. Bow to honor good battle.'
Samira was still pouting and did not see much point in bowing in return when she didn't even do anything but stand there.
'You act like child. Show respect. Jing Wei, you bow.'
The winged teen spirit was descending from her place in the air and came to a hover near Kaori and Ikuchi. She barely noticed what else had been going on and even Skadi's mental words as a scroll appeared and opened up, creating a rather long trail of celestial paper that went ahead of her and over the mountain top. Jing Wei held the top of the list and as she looked at it her eyes widened and she let out a high pitched scream. "Oh, no! Just being here for a few minutes has put me so far behind schedule! Look at all of these contracts! I thought we had limitations to prevent these sort of things! Ahhh!"
'You show disrespect. If I were bird, I feed you to offspring.'
"Fine, fine. Don't get your panties in a bunch. Jeez." The long trail of paper poofed out of existence before Jing Wei allowed her feet to touch the ground. She then began to kneel down with her hands forward so low that her forehead nearly touched the surface of the mountain ground. The spirit held this position for a few seconds before giving her wings a flap to give her the momentum needed to push her up off of the ground and hover once more. "There. Happy? Now can I get back to work? We all can't sit around and watch The Misadventures of Samira and...whoever the hell she and that thing are," Jing Wei spoke, pointing at Kaori and the Dragonhound. She had no idea who they were and while she could have easily read Samira's mind to get clarification she just didn't care enough to. Jing Wei was a busy spirit, who did not have the time to really care for those sort of details.
'Be more happy if you do your side of deal.'
Jing Wei rolled her eyes and groaned in annoyance. "For the last time, Skadi! I cannot give you an army of men just so you can beat them all to a bloody pulp and hope one of them survives! Be normal and go on a date like everyone else! What would you do if more than one ended up surviving?"
'They fight to death with me as prize.' Skadi then paused for a moment before adding with no shame at all in her voice, 'Or I get reverse harem. Makes no difference.
Jing Wei slapped her forehead with another groan. "Pick something else for our deal, please!"
Samira had made her approach as the conversation was going on and before it could go much further she raised her hand in the shape of a fist and coughed into it, slightly embarrassed that Jing Wei's part of the conversation could clearly be heard. "Moving on..." She then felt her sleeve being tugged and was soon led to the destroyed pillar. "It is destroyed." Speaking the obvious was a trait she normally took that may or may not of had a tendency to annoy others. Her tone was one of utter disappointment though as she was still mourning the loss. Then, as Kaori kneeled down, another ability belonging to the masked ninja begun to reveal itself. An energy pulse spread and with it ten men donning strange ceremonial robes stood around the pillar that was less ancient looking than when they had seen it. The sky was also different, indicating further that they were witnessing a time before Shinku had become the phantom world for the dark and wicked. When the vision ended, the pillar of their time had been miraculously restored. Samira blinked silently, and then blinked again just to make sure she was really seeing what she thought she was. "How did you?" She begun to question but stopped herself. Then Samira became someone slightly outside of her normal character. A high pitched squeal of happiness erupted from within her and if Kaori had not walked away she likely would of been hugged before Samira knew what she was doing. She started moving around all over the shrine, frantically taking notes before something happened to destroy it again.
Jing Wei was still there, now circling the area in her hover state while going through the programs on an iLac that had poofed into existence. Alarms were sounding off as messages and calls were coming from it and after a certain point Samira began to notice. She had forgotten she even had the device and it seemed her spirit had taken advantage of that fact and took it for her own personal use. Samira walked over and promptly grabbed it from Jing Wei's hands. "Thank you." With iLac in hand Samira went back to her work and started taking pictures of everything.
"Hey! I need that! I have important calls coming!" Jing Wei's cheeks puffed in anger and she stomped her feet even though she was in the air rather than standing on the ground. There would be no getting it back as her summoner ignored her, and the longer she stayed and demanded its return the more backed up on work she would be. "Fine keep it, but I expect you to take messages for me!" She then left in a puff of magical particles.
With the iLac she was moving at a quicker pace and was soon satisfied enough that she left the shrine and walked over to where Kaori and the dragonhound sat. "I am finished. The next portal should lead us to Kyoka. It is not as dangerous as this one due to being a world that is dedicated to healing and magic. Our magic abilities will be greater while we are there. As for the Phoenix, it is known as Soulsmoke, but that is all the information I have on it at this moment."
