How long has it been since she last had breakfast? A proper one at that, and not just some left over snacks from the night before. The elf could not recall. In fact, when was the last time she had a proper meal?
Her recent work has not allowed her to indulge in almost anything she usually liked, including a good healthy meal, even of her own making. When she was cooking, it was for Lucius, Shizuka, Wolfgang, and sometimes Erika, and therefore she was unable to touch any of it. Shizuka was merely a child, and couldn't even eat properly let alone create an entire meal. Erika was a guest, so Astrid didn't normally allow her to help out. Lucius had never learned to cook, and could probably burn a hot pocket given the chance. And Wolfgang, well, he was a cat. None were currently capable of learning, nor did she have time to teach them. It was just another thing to add onto the endless pile of her responsibilities. Paperwork, jobs, taking care of the residents of her house. Her life was just one big job that never ended.
So when she was able to get out of her office or end a mission and take a break from the hell that her life had become, it was special.
Which finally once again, came today.
Having just come back from a scavenging mission from the harsh jungles of Joya Astrid thought of taking a quick break to visit her favorite bakery in Rose Garden, just as a small treat for herself before she dived back into work. Come to think of it, she hadn't been here in a while... In a few months, actually. The last time she was here was the time she found that stray cat in the alleyway... Time really did pass by fast. The thought only brought sorrow to the silvernette, a cruel reminder of her inevitable doom to her family's dreaded curse. But at the same time, it also reminded her why she was doing what she was doing in the first place. Making every second of her life count. The feeling was bitter sweet.
The guild master nestled down more into the purple scarf wrapped around her neck as she walked the streets of Rose Garden, feeling the cold air beginning to nip at her skin. She had almost forgotten how cold it was in Fiore, especially since she had just returned from the humid lands of Joya. In retrospect, she even somewhat missed the warmth of those lands. But at the same time, she certainly did not miss the mosquitoes and sweating under the intense sun. She would take a little bit of a chill over that any day.
It was still a bit awkward, walking about Rose Garden so casually. She knew full well that Black Rose resided here, the first guild she had ever joined... And also the first guild she ever left. The guild itself was no problem, and most of its members were good people. Jiyu, her childhood friend, was an ace there. Not to mention Kaisto was a member too, and even that Hikari girl she had met before. Rather, the guild master was the one the slayer was ever so cautious about. Her mother.
By now Astrid had forgiven the god slayer for all her past mistakes, but the air of awkwardness was still there between them. There was no possible way they could ever really be a true family, at least Astrid knew that. But Izayuki seemed to want to push for it, which just came off as a little too extreme for her. No matter what the tanuki did, she could not replace Violet. In her mind Violet was her true mother, even if she hadn't been there for most of her life. A mother was a mother, no matter how twisted your birth was. It was awkward to think her real mother was the same person who once almost slaughtered you and your brother in a alleyway once. But that was the past. Either way, Astrid did not go out of her way to see Izayuki, and she would rather not run into her at this time. She needed to get her treat and run.
A chime rang, and warmth instantly returned to her body. It had taken a little bit, since because she was so horrible at directions, but she was here, and without running into any familiar faces.
The elf let out a bit of a sigh, as if releasing the pent up tension inside of her.
The smell of baked goods filled her nose, and she could start to feel her mouth water and stomach rumble. She was more hungry than she thought. But well, you were probably starved if you couldn't remember the last time you ate either. She took a moment to warm up near the door before making her way over to the counter, throwing a small pouch of jewels onto it.
She knew exactly what she wanted.
"Bonjour, Monsieur Gâteau" she greeted the familiar grown man behind the counter with a cheery smile. "I'm here for today's blueberry muffin surprise~"
The slim baker smiled back.
"Why good morning, Lady Astrid. It's nice to see you back." Instantly, the man's composure dropped slightly, and his smile grew sheepish. "I'm sorry, but i'm afraid we ran out of those."
Violet eyes constricted upon his words, and the happier aura from before seemed to simply vanish and was replaced with heavy coldness that anyone around the area could feel creep under their skin and squeeze their chest. Astrid's smile no longer seemed cheerful, and instead felt terrifying and uneasy when such a harsh feeling was surround them.
The man noticed this instantly, and began to advance into a cold and nervous sweat. It was obviously not his first time having to deal with this, given his was quite literally shaking in his boots. In fact, Astrid was quite well known for causing quite an outburst when she didn't exactly get what she wanted. And now because she had her heart so set on having this muffin? Well, it wasn't going to be pretty.
"Hm? I'm sorry, i don't think i heard you. Did you say you were out?" The lightness of her voice was just as chilling as the air, and it shot like icy spikes down the man's spine. His eyes darted around the room nervously, trying to find a solution before someone died.
"T-The monsters attacking the nearby villages are halting our business. W-We have no fresh ingredients because they keep destroying our trader's carriages and no one wants to fight them. S-So we can barely make anything anymore." He explained nervously, his voice cracking in some places from the pressure. Reaching under the counter he brought up a tray of freshly baked colorful cupcakes, offering it to the guild master to see if this would satisfy her instead.
"How about a cupcake instead...?"
The tray clattered to the ground as he was picked up by the collar of his shirt and let out a girlish scream. The angered slayer brought him right up to her face, making him stare right into what was now swirling pools of crimson. Her stare, if given the chance, could probably burn a hole right through metal. But now at least, it just made the man want to piss himself.
"CUPCAKES AREN'T FOR BREAKFAST!!" she yelled ferociously, tightening her grip on his collar and narrowing her eyes, bringing him closer so their foreheads would touch. He tried to retract, but found himself unable to.
A deep rumble came from the mage's throat. "Where are they?"
"W-Who?" The man stuttered in such a high voice it almost rivaled an woman opera singer's.
"THE MONSTERS!"
"The Cursed Lands! T-They're in The Cursed Lands!"
Now that she had the information she needed she dropped the shaking baker back down over the counter. A silver light consumed her body, licking off of her like hot flames, and the air around her intensified further. Without warning, she sped off in a flash of bright light. She exited, causing all the windows within the bakery to break as soon as she broke he sound barrier. Random papers, carts, and even people were swept up and off their feet as this bright light flew across street after street like an extreme gush of wind, making a straight beeline for the The Cursed Lands. In fact that's what most people would assume it to be, an extreme burst of wind.
But little did they knew, it was really just a muffin-less Wizard Saint on a quest out for vengeance.

As the white and pink mire wolf's paws quickly hit the ground as it ran, the smell of pumpkin spice muffins filled the air of The Cursed Lands. Behind where Desirée sat on the wolf was an entire rack of these muffins, delicately wrapped and stacked in a basket while also being entirely secured by a flexible rod of rainbow-based light and Jiyu sitting behind her. It was about a month after the starfall occurred, and Rose Garden was entirely repaired from the mishap, looking as normal as it would any other day upon the beach. It was difficult to repair the giant crater that the falling star caused, along with the red blood and deposits of color nearly everywhere. Her solid white house had to be re-painted in its entirety, along with the beach having to be filled with fresh sand once again. It was how the Ace of Diamonds was killed the first time, something that she did not expect ever happening in her life until she reached her older years. She was now immortal due to her transcendence into one of her summons, a Crystal, and now fully fit her title as The Crystal Queen. Her blood changed from an opaque crimson red to that of the skies, an opaque sky-blue with white and gold swirls twirling throughout as the liquid would shift. The insides of her stomach switched as an average human's would look to one with a rainbow glaze on the inner wall, turning anything she would consume into liquid rainbows infused with stardust. She was like a child of the stars, something she never pictured herself as being. The issue was that this was not of consent, and with that, it destroyed some of the things that comforted her the most.
One of these things was her golden hoop of worry stones. This housed her summoning tools and contracts, which was one the first things to go during the starfall after her humanity. She sobbed as she watched the hoop float upward and split into two, causing each crystal worry stone to spin around and crack. One by one, each multi-colored crystal shattered into light and colored reflections, causing her heart to break more and more. She felt her magical power slowly drain in this event, and with that, her new magic was absorbed to take its place. She was now the essence of stardust and Diamond, The Queen of Chrysalis. She was now her own worry stone, entirely filled with worry and fear of the unknown. She learned so much that day, things that changed her life as a whole. She learned that a fifth dragon emerged in Chrysalis, causing all of the Crystals to change from their extremely humanoid forms to that of a more beastly feel, she found out that her hoop would not be able to be repaired for months on end, and she found out that her radiance of a human was gone. She was now of the rainbows and stars, and with that, the human presence in Black Rose fell more and more. She now fit in more with the yokai there in the sense that they were not human, but she was different than all the others there in the sense that she was not animalistic. She stood out, and with that, she was named the Ace of Diamonds. It was a rather fitting name since her Crystal name was also Diamond, and with that, the set of cards was complete for now.
With being hit by a star of The Seventh Aisle came its perks, as she now supported two new magical items on her person. One consisted of a crystal necklace, which allowed her to create adorable teddy bears and ribbons out of thin air. This was the harmless item, while the other was definitely not the case. Her back now supported a large sniper rifle at all times, something she knew she could result to using to protect herself at extremely long ranges as well as short ranges if her magical power began to falter. This is something she could also do with the help of her lifelong companion, Kiwi. Now with her immortality she could live forever with Kiwi and Strawberry, her two bio-luminescent organisms that flew along the sides of her body as she rode through the trees. Pitaya was also immortal, being a descendant of Fenrir and having an origin tracing back to the early days of Vintermyr. She made for a good means of transportation in the sense that she could run very fast, so fast that the muffins behind Desirée were still warm despite purchasing them hours before. She would always forget that she was capable of taking flight now, as well as teleporting across the cosmos to get to any destination she would wish to go to. Her magic was an entirely new concept for her mind to adjust to, but she knew exactly what she was capable of doing when it came to using her magic. She trained ever since the starfall, and with that, her magical power grew more and more. She even considered herself more powerful with this type of magic, being that she was entirely independent during this stage. She could blast around the battlefield alone and knock out waves of enemies if she wished, something she could not do earlier without her golden hoop. She now channeled her magic through her body instead of the golden hoop, something that was useful in the sense of independence. She missed her summoning hoop, but she knew it would be repaired someday in the future.
As the party of five traveled rapidly through the woods of The Cursed Lands, the sun began to rise. She was here to rid the land of monsters and corruption, the first job she was assigned since becoming a guild ace. This was not her first time being here, however, being that she was assigned a similar task months earlier. She had grown so much since then, and with that, change was apparent. Her long and wavy blue hair was now replaced with a stylized version of itself, now being blonde and fitting her status as one with the stars. Her radiance became more apparent as well, her blood filled with light unlike how her human blood once did. She was now open to foreign styles of clothing she was scared to wear at first, which was certainly apparent on this day. She was wearing a beautiful outfit with white, brown, and golden hues, and looked a bit old fashioned in regards to what era it was reminiscent of. She was in a short dress that featured a corset, falling to one third of the thigh at length and featuring her long and white legs. She also had on long and striped socks in a darker color, hitting boots of golden origin and being made of leather. This was a newer outfit added to her collection, being that she designated it for jobs that could possibly heighten her image in the public eye. Her favorite part of this outfit was the hat that hit the top of her head, being very fashionable yet something one would find in an antique store. From the right of the solid surface came a white, faux fur puff, following a golden and orange-amber pin which was representative of a flower.
As her stylized and twisted hair flew behind her shoulders, she realized that she was as close to her destination as one would consider themselves to be; she was where the monsters were the last time she was at this location. It felt as though she was here the day after the fight, except it was much more peaceful in the sense that it was extremely quiet and peaceful on this morning. Desirée commanded Pitaya to stop running where she was situated, and hopped off the side of the mire wolf and pet its fur back to its flattened state. She untied the basket of two dozen pumpkin spice muffins and unwrapped their heat sealing layer of saran-wrap, removing her pumpkin spice latte tucked in the center of these muffins and began to sip it. After she gave Jiyu a small pat on the head to symbolize that they were there, she looked across the area and saw a large rock sitting right next to a large tree that stretched over the clearing, and decided to walk toward it to eat her small breakfast. She went a bit overboard when ordering this muffins, but she knew that her party would be hungry once the job was done. As they all sat on the rock, Pitaya shrunk into her smaller form and sat in Desirée's lap patiently, awaiting her permission to eat a muffin.
Desirée passed each of the animals a pumpkin spice muffin, and they slowly began to nibble on the sides in a fashionable manner. Desirée began to do the same while also sipping her pumpkin spice latte, embracing her inner white bitch before pulling out her rose gold iLac. She slowly scrolled through her Lacrimagram and watched her follower count bounce up by the minutes, hitting nearly 37 million by the time she was done watching. She began to scroll through the pictures that were uploaded by her fellow guild members, slapping a like at the bottom of the page before scrolling to the next. She loved watching her friends upload cute photos of themselves, so much so that she aspired to be like them in a sense. Her Lacrimagram was almost like a blog in a sense, and was very aesthetically pleasing in regards to how she stuck to themes of color. She was in a golden color theme at the moment, which was fitting, so she decided to take a picture of herself in her golden outfit with her pumpkin spice latte. She angled the phone and took the picture, adding a filter and uploading it to her page. She watched as the likes began to flow in, and switched to Mageify. She began to play classical music as she bit into her muffin, savoring all of the bad bitch pumpkin spice flavors that entered her mouth and hit the rainbow glaze of her throat. She felt this turn into liquefied rainbow and all she could do was burp, producing a small haze of rainbow dust and stars that slowly faded away into the air around her. It was like she was smoking rainbows, but it was really just the result of her inner rainbow.
If she were lucky, more allies would show up like they did the last time she was here, but she was confident in facing these monsters by herself with her mentor. With her new magic came a better chance of her to succeed, but she knew that the more there would be here, the merrier. All she had to do was wait for the monsters to approach as they did last time, and she would begin to use her new magic to her advantage. For now all she could do is sit on this large rock and enjoy her white people food, mentally preparing for the unknown to come.

The warm summer days had long faded. Rose Garden was slowly being blanketed by a soft snowfall in the early morning. It was the time of day when thoughts weren’t even stirred by the soft natural sounds of the usual bustling city. It was as if time itself had stopped and for most, it was a time to be grateful for. Most people came to Rose Garden, seeking a life of party and seemingly endless noise, which was what the city was known for at this point. However, its moments like this one were what kept people living here. To enjoy the small little things as the world slowly wakes up. There was a surprising amount of people awake for it being early in the morning but the sound of chatter never escalated louder than a quiet hum. If you found a quiet enough spot, you could easily sit and enjoy simply being the town at this time of year. It was snowing but it was still comfortable weather. The colourful rooftops were now slightly coated with a thin layer of snow, making their vibrant colours somewhat muted as the snow gently fell on the ground. Despite having to wake up early, it was a moment you could always appreciate if you got the chance to see it.
Hikari was basking in the glory of what the world could do naturally. It was an unforgettable sight but, something like this deserved to be captured. Taking her iLac out of the Vault, she would hover it to make sure the shot was balanced and there was no tilting on either side. With a quiet click, the holy mage would grab her iLac and view the photo that she just took. Smiling at how the photo turned out, the holy mage would decide to finally upload something to the Lacrimagram app that she installed who knows how long ago. She didn’t use it much do to not enjoying how the app works, but this is something she’d be content with posting. After waiting for an update, the Rising Star would look at her notifications and all be startled at the 46 unread messages in the top right corner of her app. Hesitantly tapping it, she noticed all of them were from one of her guildmates: Desirée Blooms. That was the idol girl in her guild if her memory didn’t fail her. They have probably spoken once or twice, but why had she sent Hikari close to 50 messages? The holy mage clicked the conversation and she gave a sideways glance to nothing in particular. Had she really been asking Hikari to do a job for close to four months? They saw each other often enough that she could have asked her directly if she wanted to do something. All she had to do was approach her instead of sideways glances or mentioning it subtly. Like, Hikari couldn’t see into her thoughts based on the probably two times they have interacted. But no matter, Hikari was looking forward to doing a job with her but that’ll have to remain a thought until after breakfast.
The real reason Hikari was awake this early in the morning was that it was requested of her, once again, to help with the slaying of monsters in a different area this time, appropriately named ‘The Cursed Lands'… whoever came up with these names needed to be more subtle as to what they named places on Fiore. Sometimes it was just sad. Either way, the Magic Council must have been getting desperate for volunteers if they were going to send Hikari to do this job about two months after announcing that they were recruiting, but sometimes, you just have to suck it up. The holy mage walked into a café and headed to the counter. The cashier, a young male who probably seemed to just wake up, seemed somewhat tired still and Hikari sympathized greatly with him. She’d probably be feeling the same as him this morning should she have stuck to her normal sleeping schedule which was basically stay up until the sun came up again. She smiled at him saying, Hello there! I’d like a cheese croissant and a hot cocoa if you please. The male nodded quietly as he yawned, grabbing a paper bag and a pair of tongs to grab the aforementioned pastry. The sleepy man almost grabbed the wrong one before promptly realizing his mistake and grabbing the cheese croissant. He grabbed a cup and filled with hot cocoa mix whilst adding steaming milk. He stirred patiently while glancing at Hikari, whose eyes were basically looking at the whipped cream cannister in the fridge behind him. Grabbing the can, he would add some decorative flare to the drink by adding some chocolate shavings on top of the drink. Getting her jewels ready, Hikari would open a portal to the Vault, grabbing her wallet and taking a card out. Tapping on the machine to pay, the cashier would be ready to hand her the drink and pastry. After paying Hikari safely deposited the drink, wallet and croissant into the vault, smiling before waving at the man, who was ready to go back to sleep. Have a nice day, sir. Closing the door softly, the holy mage would look at the sky and then back to her clothes. She needed a little more layers if she wanted to fly high today.
Summoning a white beanie with a matching white scarf, the holy mage would zip up her relatively thin jacket, not really wanting to wear a thicker one. As nice as it would be, it just would feel way too constricting and she probably needed to get to the job site fast as the Magic Council told her to expect her partners there surprisingly early. The word ‘partners’ caused the Rising Star’s eyes to roll. Hikari really wanted to figure out what the Magic Council’s process was for picking out job partners. Did they pick names out of a hat or did they do something akin to it because most of the time, Hikari feels like her or her partners on jobs got the short end of the stick. It was either Hikari doing a job with someone who potentially ends up hating her or the partner being so powerful they basically don’t even need her there. But, even so, she still somehow ends up hurting that particular person’s feelings without intending to. Which also causes the other person on the job to literally want to kill her. No. She wasn’t bitter about her last few job partners. But still, going into this moody would cause her to want to hit whoever she meets, whether they are nice or not. So, patting her face to wake up, the holy mage would cast Petasos, causing a golden crest to appear on her back despite the multiple layers. From this, she felt two golden wings unveil themselves with golden feathers appearing as she took a couple of running steps. The strides eventually got longer before the holy mage rose into the sky, wings helping her soar. She opened her iLac through a portal underneath her so that it was at a comfortable height, and she made sure she read the email from the Magic Council once again. The Cursed Lands has been apparently causing disturbance within trader routes and now, transport routes. It had become increasingly more dangerous ever since the last time Hikari had helped clear out monsters. So, this was probably presumably where they came from. Observing her surroundings, she noticed that this part of Rose Garden that she was flying over was still in good shape which probably meant she had a while to go. It was right over the Silver Moon Inn coincidently, which made the holy mage wonder if anyone in her guild potentially signed up to go on this job too. There was no shortage of capable mages from her guild so it should be fine if she saw someone from the guild. She’d be able to interact with some fellow guildmates too so in her books, it was a win-win situation. Her gaze fixated forward once again as she looked at the coordinates the Magic Council had sent her versus her current coordinates. Sighing to herself, the red headed woman knew that this wasn’t going to be a short flight, so she decided to play some music whilst she increased her speed towards the destination.
The area she was going to be fighting in was different to the one she was at before because the last time, the holy mage was responsible for defending an entire city as opposed to a trader’s route. It… didn’t feel like a battle ground at all to be completely honest. It felt like this was somewhere someone might consider going to get married. It was honestly just a gorgeous open space. Her classical music being paused, the holy mage would gently float to the ground with her wings flapping. Sitting down, she wouldn’t dispel the crest but she had the wings burst into feathers that would fade into a soft golden light. The holy mage would look upon the clearing, pulling out her croissant and taking rather miniscule bites. Apparently, the natural sights of nature came more often than one thought. It was more about looking for them. Taking a sip of hot cocoa then standing up, the holy mage would look around before seeing someone she had been in her thoughts earlier this morning. It was Desirée, sitting on a rather large rock with an entire basket of muffins. Based on how many treats she brought and the general kind-hearted nature of the new Ace of Black Rose, she was probably ready to provide treats for those who were on this mission with her. Hikari began her walk over to her guildmate, as the smell of the muffins slowly filled the entire clearing that they were in. Hikari smiled as thoughts invaded her mind. Oh. She was one of those people. The kind that were all about the seasonal goods and never what the celebration was actually about. Hikari smiled to hide her thoughts being just about finished before she officially even met Desirée. Just people like that made her mad and the smell of pumpkin spice from that one particular café the holy mage generally avoided going to. Walking over to her rock, the holy mage would smile at the blonde woman while saying, Planning a feast are we? Hikari would take a sip of her hot cocoa to mask the scent of basic while not dropping her smile. Desirée is probably a nice person. But, just knowing that she was the kind of person to celebrate the holiday like this and literally just load up on seasonal treats made the caster a tiny bit annoyed. But it’s honestly fine. If she said this to her, she might start feeling attacked and take it personally then run away in sadness. Wait. Wrong white person. But, Hikari would finish off her croissant before curtsying, saying, You already know me and I know you, but I’m not really one to skip introductions. My name is Hikari, and I look forward to being your partner on this mission. Hikari would quietly sip her drink, probably five feet apart from Desirée because she didn’t want to catch whatever ailment came over Desirée. In addition to seeing Desirée, behind the ace, Hikari saw the other ace of Black Rose, Jiyu. It was rather interesting seeing her here. The holy mage knew she took jobs but she had never been partnered up with her. However, seeing all these familiar faces, meant that this would a job to look forward too. Hikari had actually never seen Jiyu's magic so this would be a new experience altogether. This should be fun though, seeing what her guildmates were truly capable of. Oh! Hello there Jiyu. I look forward to working with you on this mission as well.

"Hey, Larry... You ever wonder why we're here?" The deep questioning voice of a half mutant dragon giant spoke up as the two stood guard near the edges of Fat Monster Land. The one who had asked the question began to pick in between his sharp and gnarled white fangs with its claws, flicking away whatever kind of leftover food that had managed to stick in between them. The other nearly identical dragon giant which stood next to him gazed off into the distance as it leaned forward onto its long sword, its forked tongue slipping out from its mouth, narrowing big golden orbs in thought. It took him a good minute to think of a response, enough time so the other dragon glanced over in it's direction once the silence set in.
"It’s one of life’s great mysteries isn't it? Why are we here? I mean, are we the product of some cosmic coincidence, or is there really a God watching everything? You know, with a plan for us and stuff. I don’t know, man, but it keeps me up at night." The two looked at each other, a quick moment of silence once again washing over them.
"What the fuck? No, i mean why are we just sitting guard here while the heir gets to boss us around."
Another moment of awkward silence came.
"... Oh, right..."
"Where did all that stuff about God come from?"
"... W-What? Oh, nothing..."
"You wanna talk about it?"
"No."
"You sure?"
"Yeah."
The cold and awkward silence once again came over the two guards, and they simply looked away from each other, staring over the empty fields and resuming their duties of pretty much doing nothing at all but standing and waiting for something to happen.
"ÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀ!!"
A few minutes later, a distant sound caught the attention of one of the guards. It was faint, but a constant. It peaked the interest of the one currently going through an existential crisis, and he narrowed his gaze into the distance to try and spot where it was coming from. he flicked his tongue, tapping the other one on his chest to get his attention.
"Do you hear that?"
"Hear what?" The other questioned, trying to understand what his comrade was drawing attention to.
"ÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀ!!"
"There, right there. Do you hear it?"
After a moment of silence and really concentrating, the other finally heard it. His gold eyes beamed with fidgeted with curiosity.
"Oh, yeah yeah i do."
"ÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀ!!"
"What is it?"
"Dunno. Kinda sounds like screaming? But weird."
"ÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀ!!"
"Sounds like it's getting closer."
"What do we do?"
"ÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀÀ!!"
"Well i guess we should-"
The dragon never got to finish his sentence as a beam of light ran straight into him and knocked him right off his feet. He hit the ground with a mighty slam and skidded a good couple of dozen meters away from his post, causing a decently sized crater in his wake. The initial impact had quite literally knocked the wind out of him, and he was unable to make a move from the combination of surprised, confusion, and sudden weakness that came with the shock. Having closed his eyes out of instinct upon the hit he reopened them once more to see what force was pushing him down. However, he only got to see a quick glimpse of red eyes and silver hair before he was punched right in his jaw. The again. Then again. And again in quick movements one right after the other. The hits landed hard, and almost practically knocked the scales off the creature, as he now had bare spots where the deep green armor-like layer used to be.
"WHERE ARE THEY!? WHERE ARE YOU KEEPING THEM!?" Astrid screamed out, punching him once again in the face.
"Where are what!? Stop- AH!" The dragon growled, feeling another punch connect to his face.
"DON'T PLAY DUMB! WHERE ARE THE MUFFINS!?"
"Get your filthy hands off him, elfling!" The other dragon giant finally stumbled his way over, pointing his spear threateningly close to Astrid's throat, to the point where if she moved just the tiniest bit it would probably break the skin. The slayer ceased her beat down, crimson eyes glaring at the beast from the corner of her vision. The dragon kept his spear there, in case she tried anything. But even despite his threats, the creature still visibly shook, just from the great amount of angry pressure she gave off. This jagged movement made the spear pierce her skin slightly anyway, causing a little bit of silver blood to pool around the sharped end and begin to drip down her neck. "I-I know your kind! You're working with the humans! And if you're not working with us, you're working against us! The humans your species allies with will no longer suppress us!"
With the other dragon already beaten down and mostly unconscious the mage grabbed onto the spear in a single quick motion with equal if not stronger force than his own. The mutant tried to push it forward, only for nothing to give way. Instead Astrid merely pushed it back and out of her neck. Silver blood now coated the head, but was quickly healed upon the elf's flesh, nothing left from her wound other than a few streaks of the glossy liquid. Elf blood, while not being able to heal a person in life energy, was quite well known for sealing up wounds and other physical ailments that could otherwise lead to serious permanent injury if not even death. When a self healing blood could so easily regrow limbs fully in a matter of minutes, it was no surprise such a tiny cut like that was healed within mere seconds.
The dragon fought back, trying to reclaim his spear. But it was no use. Eventually just from the sheer amount of great force the two powers pressed upon it the metal stick gave way, and bent upwards. The mutant blinked in surprise, not having seen a humanoid with such great strength before. But this surprise would only lead to its fall. Throwing the spear to the side with a grumble it was about to grab onto Astrid. But since she was so much faster, she was able to grab onto him first. She grabbed onto his outstretched arm, and dug her nails as firmly as she could into his scales. Once she had gotten a good enough grip she used all of her strength to lift him into the air before slamming him back down onto the hard earth. It choked and sputtered, but in a matter of seconds it once again found itself being brought back into the air and slamming down onto the ground. This continued for a few seconds, this thrashing. She would throw the dragon into the air, and then slam him down again. And again. And again, growing faster with each passing slam. Eventually, once she had gotten her frustrations out, she simply let go, and threw the creature up into the air. Practically unconscious and near death, the bloody and ragged body of the giant fell like a block of condensed metal and hit the ground, causing a large crater in the dirt. Its eyes swirled, and tongue stuck out from its lips. Little to say, it wasn't going to be getting up any time soon.
Astrid placed her hands upon her hips, bending backwards to crack her back before then twisting her head side to side, cracking her neck also. White Dragon's Tantrum. It was a new one she had learned from Sirius not too long ago, and she could see why. It took a lot out of a person. Just from that alone she felt like she needed to take a nap. But not where there was muffins to save.
Come to think of it... She probably should have kept those guys alive so they could tell her where they were. She glanced over her shoulder, seeing them both of the edge of death. Oops, oh well. They probably didn't know anyway, and even if they did they wouldn't tell her. They seemed very intent on keep their secrets. Well then, it seems she would have to go to the bosses and have a talk with them. They were sure to know where the muffins were. Plus, you know, they were the masterminds behind these attacks and the villages would probably appreciate them being stopped... But the most important things were the muffins of course.
The slayer took a moment to rest after the large attack, cracking practically every bone in her body. She stopped suddenly, however, as a familiar scent caught her attention. She lifted her face upwards and sniffed the air... They weren't blueberry, but it was definitely the smell of pumpkin spice muffins. A true white bitch's weakness. It was weak, the scent, which meant it was quite the distance away. But honestly it could be in a volcano for all she cared, she was going to get her muffins. The anger that made been drained from her with the smell seeped back into her system, and like a bloodhound on a rabbit's trail, she sped off in another flash of brilliant light.
It didn't take her long to find the two other mages casually sitting around and talking. Well, actually she didn't know if they were talking or not. Nor did she care. She sensed the two souls, and their energies mingled with the scent of the muffins. Therefore, she was able to locate them quite easily.
With absolutely no regard for any kind of human decency like she normally would the silvernette quite literally crashed into Desirée, the source of said pumpkin spice, and in one simple second attempted to have her pinned to the ground. She stared down at the blonde, no longer angry, but rather a kind of look that rivaled a kid going inside a candy store. Violet orbs shined, and her mouth opened to say one word and one word alone.
"... Muffins?"

DAMN ASS ROCKS MAN //
As she bit into her pumpkin spice muffin, she could feel the soft taste of the white girl food slowly develop her mouth in flavor and texture. The way these muffins were produced were simply divine and were clearly freshly made, resembling little fluffy clouds of beige and orange tones of fall as they created this seasonal treat. Of course, Desirée was one to typically stock up with pumpkin spice before it was to go off the shelves, so much so that she would have an entire refrigerator-freezer combo filled with treats of the sort in order to have anything she would need going throughout the year. From coffee creamers to pumpkin spice muffins, she had it stocked by the day the beautiful and spice-filled assortments of sweets would rid the shelves of every store that was in Rose Garden. However, these treats always tasted the best when they were fresh. The warmth of the muffins along with the fluffy texture made Desirée swoon at the taste, along with her three pets eating the soft muffins upon the same rock they were sitting.
"Hey Strawberry, guess where we are sitting." Kiwi told Strawberry as he floated over toward her, holding his pumpkin spice muffin in hand. "Um... I don't know..? Maybe we... we are on a historical monument?" Strawberry said in a nervous tone, as her eyes began to water. She was a very introverted and nervous bio-luminescent organism, despite how close one would be able to get to her. However, she loved her companions, and vowed to keep her past caretaker's wishes. "We are on a damn ass rock. A gay damn ass rock." Kiwi said to the pink bio-luminescent organism as she gasped, dropping her muffin onto the rock and beginning to glare. "Wa... wa... watch your profanity!" she said as she began to cry, Pitaya soon walking toward her to pick up her muffin and eat it. "I... I don't like it when you say that!" she cried to Kiwi, as he came over and pat her on her forehead. "It was just a joke..." he said to her as she let her tears flow, soon hopping into Desirée and causing a strip around her arm to glow pink. Kiwi soon followed and caused a strip beside it turn green, leaving Desirée and Pitaya sitting on the damn ass rock with only each-other.
Desirée sighed after she watched the two fight and retreat into her body, something only the bio-luminescent organisms were capable of doing. However, this sigh was soon interrupted by a similar yet different version of the music that Desirée was listening to through her iLac reigning down from the sky above, classical music by a different composer. As she looked in-front of herself, it was another guild member of Black Rose. Her name was Hikari, and honestly, Desirée did not know much about her. She did not look that much different than how she looked since the last time they say each-other, besides her Halloween outfit was now consisting of a winter-styled type of clothing. Desirée felt very warm in the clothing she was currently in despite her appearance looking as something she would wear in the spring, as the inside had a thin yet compressed thermal layer used for versatile traveling. "It is nice to see you, Hikari. I assume you have read my texts?" she told the other member of Black Rose, as she stood from the damn ass rock that she was sitting on and picked up the basket of muffins. "I bought extra for those that would be assigned this mission with me. Would you like one? I don't think my pets can eat any more." she told Hikari, as she motioned the basket over to her in case she would want one to eat. Desirée would sit back down and turn toward Hikari, slipping her iLac under her waistband before beginning to speak with Hikari to update her on some important things that the guild may not have been able to hear about.
"As you may have heard or seen about a month ago, a shooting star slammed into the beach of Rose Garden. Its a bit of a strange story, now that I think about it..." she began to tell her as Pitaya curled up in her lap, her hand stroking the soft and white fur that was marked with red-pink markings around multiple places of her coat. "The shooting star killed me, and with that, I lost my human essence and ability to summon Crystals." She said it, and with that, she looked down and sighed. She hated that she was no longer human, she really did. It angered her that she was to live forever, considering she would outlive those that age around her. It angered her that she would live to see the world end. It angered her that she would never be able to be reunited with Lele in the afterlife. Lele Stone, her first guild master. She was her apprentice when she was younger, and assisted her in training before she was famous and a high ranked mage. It was a shame that the angelic summoner was to die, especially at the young age of 27. It all came down to the responsibility of Desirée's father, which made her feel at fault. However, she could not harbor her hard feelings at this moment. It was a rather constant thought, something she wished to not think about when she was with others.
"The magical power built up inside of the star from the places it passed through and came from killed me with enough force to rewire my insides, causing me to transcend with an entirely new type of magic. With that, my summoning hoop was destroyed." she told Hikari as she angled her head downward, slightly ashamed for the event that had occurred. She did not want to be a Crystal, it was an entirely new concept for her that she did not want to accept. She wanted to be human, and she wanted to be able to die. She wanted to be able to reunite with her master in Valhalla, as she was the closest thing she ever had to a mother. The orphan began to shift her feet through the soft dirt that sat among the exterior of the rock that met the ground, causing it to shift around her boots. "Has... anything happened to you since we have spoke last?" she asked her as she suddenly heard the noise of something hitting the dirt in-front of her, and soon she found herself flying through the air.
She was trampled and pinned to the ground, by what appeared to be a wide eyed and semi-drooling monster of white. Who was she and what was she doing here? 'Do I know her from somewhere?' Desirée thought to herself, as she began to scan the face of the violet-eyed woman on top of her with confusion. Was it from a sales commercial? Sorcerers Weekly? A poster? A job flyer? She was entirely unsure what or who this woman was, only knowing that she looked to be very white, almost as white as the queen of all white bitches was; Desirée. "I... um... hello?" she asked the white haired girl with extreme confusion on her face, trying to close her eyes due to the extreme amount of awkwardness she felt in her stomach. Was this awkwardness, or were the muffins just making her gassy? She was unaware, nor could she care, all she was here for was to complete a task which was ridding the land of monsters.
"Muffins...? Muffins! Mu-" Desirée began to say, as her eyes widened in embarrassment. The muffins indeed were causing her to become very gassy, and one of the curses of her magic would begin to come into play in the mere seconds. Around the bottom of her body produced a haze of multi-colored smoke, which smelled like cotton candy and glowed with small flakes of golden stardust inside. Desirée quickly scrambled out from under the white-haired girl, wafted away her fart, re-adjusted her sniper rifle on her back, and quickly jogged over to the basket of pumpkin spice muffins that sat on the rock near Pitaya. The basket had about thirteen muffins inside of it, organized in a beautiful stack and delicately wrapped in silver ribbons and light-pink holders. She walked over to Astrid and held the basket in-front of her, smiling before performing a quick bow. "Sorry about what happened when you knocked me over, my perfume bottle in my back pocket must have activated and sprayed. I am Desirée Blooms, Black Rose's Ace of Diamonds. I assume that you are here to assist us with our mission?" she asked the white-haired girl with a wide smile, as two bright flashes of green and pink light formed around each of her shoulders and erupted into Kiwi and Strawberry. "This is Kiwi, and this is Strawberry. They are my bio-luminescent organisms. As for the white-furred wolf on that rock, that is Pitaya, my mire wolf." she told her, as she looked over at the damn ass rock and saw the wolf asleep, curled up in a small dent inside of the rock formation.
"I picked up some extra muffins before I came here for those who would be assisting me on this quest, so perhaps you would like some? They are pumpkin spice flavo-" Desirée said as she witnessed a sharp blade of ice launch in-between her and the white-haired girl's heads, nearly skimming her nose. She quickly turned and saw that there was a horde of monsters approaching them through the clearing, looking extremely different than the monsters she experienced before in this same location. "They are here. We need to act fast." she said aloud, as Strawberry screamed and hopped into the soul of Pitaya. Pitaya quickly bounced into the air and flew overhead, sitting in a grotto of the tree that stretched above the clearing. Kiwi hopped into the soul of Desirée and caused her aura to glow a bright green, resulting in her taking a deep breath and raising her hand above her.
As she raised her hand above her body, a golden beam of light stretched directly above her and latched onto a thick tree-branch. She then pulled herself quickly toward the branch with this flexible cord of stardust, swinging from it and launching herself in the air at a rapid space. As she launched into the air she quickly withdrew the sniper rifle from her back and zoomed into her sights, quickly locking onto what appeared to be a dragon-based humanoid walking with one similar of the sorts. "Two shots." she thought to herself, as her scope began to glow a bright gold, symbolizing that it was ready to fire. She placed her finger onto the trigger and quickly fired these shots, causing two golden bullets to rain out of the front of the sniper rifle and fly toward a singular dragon guard. Both of these shots hit each of his shoulders, causing him to falter and have small streams of blood gush out of his bullet wounds. She swung her rifle to her back as she flew toward the ground, quickly landing it with a firm hold on her feet and meeting the flat ground of the surrounding terrain with her hands.
She let out a small breath and closed her eyes as her hand began to glow where it met the ground, causing it to glow a range of multi-colored particles as a magical circle formed. She quickly reached her hand into the circle and pulled out a large and thin double-sided sword, that of which was made of crystallized light and reflected many different colors of the rainbow. The two dragon men began to run toward her, and she soon began to run toward them with all of her might with both sides of the blade. As she ran she began to spin the blade around her head, causing the double-sided blade to appear as if it were the blades on a helicopter. She quickly ran toward these dragon-based humanoids with the rapidly spinning blade and sliced into both of their hilts at once, causing them to slowly crack away and spill blood onto the outside. However, as these dragon men were finally in melee range of Desirée, they gaped over her in regards to their height. This resulted in her having to focus on a single enemy at once, while also having to attempt to manage her defense on the other as they tried to punch and kick her with their razor-sharp limbs. As she kept hacking away at a single draconian being, he finally burst into smoke to symbolize that he was defeated, but it was too much to manage at one time. The other dragon-man kicked her in the back and caused her to slam into the ground at full force, her arm beginning to welt up with her Crystal blood.
The dragon man also looked to be weak, therefore Desirée blast back upward and began to swing her blade once again. With every hit, another would be deflected, and it became a full-on battle between blade and fist. As Desirée attacked faster and faster, the dragon guard also increased in speed, and kicked her so hard that she flew nearly 10 meters backwards. As she landed on her feet she let out many quick breaths, and quickly threw the bladed weapon toward the monster. As the weapon flew it twinkled through the sky, and luckily sunk into the body of the dragon-man and caused him to burst into smoke. The weapon also shattered, causing it to produce many different colors of smoke along with the grey that the monster produced, luckily resulting in her being able to retreat from the center of the battlefield. As she made it to the edge she removed a water bottle from her bag and quickly drank from it, satisfying her heavy breaths for the time being.

Hikari’s eyebrow raised slightly when she heard the recent Black Rose ace mention the shooting star that had passed by. How could anyone forget. Hearing about a shooting star was just game changer for Hikari. She had always researched about the phenomena and having the chance to experience one was spectacular. The holy mage had been extra careful about her missions leading up to that week just so that she wasn’t away on a mission when the shooting star passed over Rose Garden. On that night, Hikari had made sure she had made full use of her magic to analyze the sight in all ways she could. The following morning, the horrific news that the shooting star had crashed into a place. The news wasn’t able to report if there were any casualties because they only had figured out recently that it had crashed into the land. But, now knowing that Desireé had been under the meteor as it fell, it was aweing. Something that caused that much wonder in human hearts had ended the life of someone. It was still scary to think that of all people to happen to, it happened to someone the holy mage knew. Hikari felt bad for the new Ace of Diamonds but didn’t know quite how to mention it. She wanted to be there for her but she doesn’t know Desireé well enough to comfort way. Also, Hikari hasn’t died either so she can only empathize how the former human felt. It sounds like a nightmare. Seeing everyone around you age while you remain the same. Nobody wants to die but they probably don’t want to live forever too. It would drive someone insane. When Desireé had asked if anything new happened with her, the holy mage replied, I think whatever I did won’t compare to what you went through. I’m always here if you want to talk okay? Hikari was going to grab the woman’s hand until a white blur had knocked her over and pinned her to the ground. The magical presence of the new person felt… familiar. When the voice spoke, Hikari tried not to scream. It was Astrid. Again.
Somehow, they had been teamed up on this mission. Someone at the Magic Council must be reading the mission reports and want to keep pairing these two up until Hikari actually screamed. Smiling at the new presence, she was going to greet her until she heard her say muffins. Resisting the urge to face palm, Hikari would look at the ground as she thought about it. It would make sense if Astrid was the type of person who indulged in the pumpkin spice craze every season, after all, everything about Astrid screamed white. Her outfit, her shoes, even her hair. It just added up that Astrid was kind of basic. Looking at Desireé panic, she would raise her eyebrows as she saw a cloud of smoke emerge from her as she crawled away from Astrid. Hikari watched as she grabbed the muffin basket and explained that her perfume bottle must have sprayed. But, upon further analysis of her outfit, didn’t have a single pocket on her person. What was that? It probably wouldn’t matter to make questions of this despite how intriguing the conversation might be. Hikari heard the sound of a icicle whizzing by. Summoning a spear, the holy mage took up a fighting stance as her eyes emitted a golden glow. There were enemies approaching and they didn’t seem like complete pushovers. Hikari watched as Desireé fought for a little. So, this is what the shooting star transformed her magic into. It was quite fitting for the idol. Hikari noticed some more enemies up ahead. These ones seemed rather interesting actually. Running over to them, the holy mage noticed that these monsters had the appearances of dragons morphed with humans. Just seeing them made her think about dragon slayers. These dragon giants didn’t hesitate to fight, as all four charged at the holy mage.
Summoning her wings, the holy mage flew up to avoid their charge and watched from the air as they spread their wings in order to fly up to meet her. Usually, the Rising Star fought enemies who couldn’t fly as well, giving her the complete advantage of the air to fight. No matter, despite this shortcoming, she still should have air superiority. Glancing at her spear, the holy mage would stab the fist of one of the dragon giants, who was aiming for a straight shot at her. It was a predictably sad attempt however, as the creature winced in pain as blood rushed out of the wound. Making the spear fade into light, the holy mage would spin as she summoned a whip blade. Slashing at one enemy, the sword would break into fragments allowing the weapon to wrap around the monster’s waist, digging into their pseudo human flesh. The holy mage would pull the creature over as it screeched in pain. The holy mage was aware of the one attempting to sneak up behind her as she tossed the one she was throwing into it. Smirking as she kicked one of them down towards the ground, the holy mage would smile as she tossed an arrow glowing with gold magical energy into the air as she summoned a bow. Catching the arrow would cause it to glow brighter, and aiming towards the sky, the holy mage would pierce through the thin veil of clouds. After a brief moment’s delay, the sky became painted with a shimmering gold colour. The gold glow from Hikari’s eyes had completely transformed her normally reddish-pink eyes to the same colour that the sky now was. Raising her hand, she would dodge an attack from another half-dragon giant as she stabbed it with a sword she summoned. Forcing the sword downward caused the creature to fall as Hikari pointed her raised hand downwards towards the four wounded creatures. Not blinking an eye, weapons would begin to fall around her, stabbing multiple parts of the creatures. The dust build up from this was quite large as it was hard to see for a moment afterwards. The holy mage would use her wings to dissipate the dust in order to make sure that the foes were downed. As it turns out, they didn’t survive the onslaught of weapons. Snapping her fingers, the sky turn blue as the gold colour seemed to form a circle above Hikari. When the circle got small, the arrow began to fall near the holy mage as she opened a portal to the Treasury where it fell in. Flying back over to where Desireé had finished her battle, the holy mage’s eyes would turn from gold back to their normal reddish-pink as she looked at Astrid. It seems fate continually is having us meet again and again. How are you doing, Astrid? She watched as Desireé chugged her water bottle and sat down on the grass once again, not really wondering as to what Astrid might have to say. After all, they saw each other pretty recently anyways.

To anyone who peered close enough at the elf, they could probably notice she was practically drooling at this point. The blonde absolutely reeked of pumpkin spice and muffins, simply amplified by the slayer's keen sense of smell. And to a hungry slayer? Well, she smelled like a buffet. The only thing she was missing at this point was the cherry on top.
The girl's words were meaningless to Astrid. All that mattered at this point, was the food. In fact if she didn't have any restraint at all she would just end up taking a big bite out of her. The woman, on top of everything else, held a slight hint of light to her. And as a light slayer, well, it wasn't hard to understand what their preferred source of food was. It was no Erika fire, but yet again there wasn't a whole lot that could match the sweet scent of that. But it was light nonetheless, and therefore Astrid automatically gained an appetite for it.
Crazed violet eyes gazed down at the fumbling girl with a wide and drooling mouth, and probably would have actually ended up taking a bite of her if another scent did not manage to snap her out of the hungered state. The elf's nose twitched when a multi colored haze rose up and around the two. The sweet and overwhelming scent was intrusive to the light and pumpkin spice scent that Astrid liked. Normally, she would not be against such sweet smells, as the silvernette quite enjoyed to indulge herself in such things quite often. She was no stranger to the power of a sweet tooth. But this particular smell the mist brought was... Maybe a little too much for some. It was sickly, and overall just felt too heavy to breathe in. But she did, accidentally, breathe it in. It stung the back of her nose and throat, causing her to wince back and cough. This allowed for a moment of weakness, allowing Desiree to escape her grasp. It also allowed Astrid to calm down a bit, as her main priority ended up being trying to waft the small away from her area, or at least the area around her face. The guild master sat up and continued to cough, using one hand to cover her mouth and the other to swipe at the air, her eyes closed for protection. After a few moments, thankfully, the heavy air of sickly sweetness subsided, and she was once again able to breathe in normal air.
She removed her hand from her mouth, blinking back open purple optics when a tray of muffins was shoved into her face. The action caused her to retract her head back a bit, having not expected the girl to just straight up give her muffins. But at the same time, it's not like she was against it.
"I... I'm uh..." She was going to introduce herself in turn, but found it hard to do so when the tray of food was so close to her. Her gaze was locked on them as her mind battled what was more important, introducing herself properly, or eating. "I'm Astrid" she was finally able to force out. She need not go further, with any fancy titles or last names. She was used to just saying her first name by now, as she was pretty well known throughout the entire world. How many silver haired elves named Astrid were dragon slayers? Not a lot. Not that she was bragging or anything. In fact she hated seeming as though she expected everyone to know her just because of her titles. But by now everyone in Fiore seemed to know who she was, so it just came to be a natural habit to not over do it on the introductions.
Like a trance she would follow the tray, every little inch Desiree moved Astrid's shining and wide gaze also did. She was also drooling again. Not as badly as before, but anyone could see the weird rainbow-like pool of saliva form at the edge of her lips.
That was at least, before the world ended. Well, maybe that was a bit of an exaggeration. Right at this moment Astrid viewed the tray of delicious muffins as the world. Her world. Nothing else mattered or was more important than them and their inevitable journey into the elf's hungry mouth. So if said muffins were somehow destroyed? So would be her world.
A shaking arm rose from Astrid's side and was about to grab onto one of the pumpkin spice goods, but just as she did an icicle shot in from practically out of nowhere and knocked over the tray. In those few seconds, everything seemed to go in slow motion. The tray was knocked out of Desiree's hand, and the muffins overturned, flipping with it. Astrid's hypnotized state turned into that of true shock and horror, like her entire family was just slaughtered right in front of her. The dragon slayer, hoping she could save them in time, reached out a hand in an attempt to at least catch one. But she was too late. Each one slipped by her fingers, and fell to the ground in a mess of ice and pastry. Astrid stared at the ground with terror in her eyes, mouth wide open in a gasp that had yet to leave her throat. Tears wielded up in wide eyes, and threatened to travel down her face. She sat like this for a few moments as the other two girls fought, staring at the messy mess of muffins with such a frightful look on her face one would think someone had actually just died.
But to Astrid, someone might as well just have.
After a few long moments of being motionless she reached out a hand to the disgusting pile of wet muffin parts and gently caressed them with shaking fingers, within her head going through the five stages of grief all at once. Denial, anger, bargaining, depression and finally acceptance. Well, maybe that was a bit of a lie. She was still angry, even if she did accept their fates. But that was her secret, she was always angry.
They would pay.
They would all pay for their deeds.
Astrid was still next to he pile of mush when Hikari inquired about how she was doing. It wasn't exactly something someone needed to ask at this point. Anyone around her could feel the intense and suffocating aura of anger suddenly shift.
"... How am i?" she darkly repeated the red head's words, raising to her feet. She turned her head slowly to the holy mage, once purple eyes again burning crimson. "I'M FUCKING PISSED!" Raising her arms up she would stomp the ground and let out a silver pulse, cracking in half the rock she was currently standing upon.
Some of the dragons surrounding them stopped their actions, and looked in terror as the rock began to crumble.
"The great rock!" One of them drew attention to it, causing the others to also stop their fighting.
"The great rock has been destroyed!"
"It was them! They destroyed the great rock!"
"No mercy!"
"Kill them! Kill them all"
The dragons roared as one, more and more starting to surround the girls. And these ones seemed even more angry than before...

DAMN ASS ROCKS MAN //
As Desirée breathed slowly on the exterior of the battlefield and chugged her water bottle, all she could think of was what the white haired woman said before she began to fight. Her name of all things, something that dwindled on her memory considering she just fought multiple enemies, still rung a familiar memory in her head. "Astrid, where could that name be from? I sure as hell have heard it before, on multiple occasions." she thought to herself as her mind began to hurt just by thinking too hard, as she was definitely determined to remember. As she began to go deep into thought, which seemingly pissed her off because she was stumped, Kiwi hopped out of her soul onto her shoulder and whispered into her ear. "I remember seeing Astrid, multiple times! Remember, on your old laptop, the day before you joined Black Rose! And at the Candy Corn Gala!" he exclaimed, as her mind quickly remembered the occurrence.
It was a warm summer day outside, and Desirée was sitting on the balcony of a hotel in Rose Garden with her laptop sitting on her lap, while her hands were occupied- one with a bottle of red wine, and the other with the applicator of a lip gloss. Her blue hair was let completely down and was sitting with a beautiful pink flower in her hair, the bottle of red wine being half empty from her drinking it straight out the bottle. As she set the lip gloss down, she began to scroll down the search engine's tab that she had open for a few hours, her mind thinking as to which she wanted to choose. It had been years since Summoner's Stone was destroyed, and with that, Desirée wanted to finally fulfill her guild master's dying wish. She wanted Desirée to achieve many things in her life, such as joining the bigger guilds and perhaps becoming a guild master on her own. This was a dream of Desirée as well, especially the part of following in her master's footsteps to become a guild master, as Lele was her idol. She had a sketchbook of plans for a guild in which she would be the guild master of, but those were only dreams... they would never be able to come true. At least, she didn't think they would be able to at the time, but what was worth giving up a dream? Those were plans, plans that could someday be made, but she did not believe that they would be successful.
On this day Desirée was browsing an article titled "Fiore's Best Legal Guilds: Five Wonders of the World". It was something Desirée was finally researching after her previous guild's disbandment, and something she was longing to do for a very long time. Her summoning hoop sitting on the table with only four contracts, she was by no means powerful, but definitely knew how to work her summoning tools. As she scrolled down the list, the second guild listed was Golden Phoenix, and for the images of the guild masters were two women; the first being a girl named Summer, while the second was a white haired girl that went by the name of Astrid. It was the same girl that had just tackled Desirée for her muffins, one that was also apparently present at the Halloween Gala in which she was also located at. Of course, that was back when her hair was a silver white instead of blonde, so she may have been a bit unrecognizable now- but still similar. The cases of the situation were familiar, as she was hogging out on pumpkin spice festivities there as well, as she was a basic ass bitch. But the thing was that while she was basic, she was not, but her inner white girl seemed to always shine through. Pumpkin Spice was so good in her opinion, almost as good as hotdog water, therefore her mouth began to salivate after just thinking about it- until she began to hear more screaming. Her mind quickly cut back into reality, finding that she was standing unscathed where she was before, with Astrid screaming upon the damn ass gay ass rock that the muffins were situated on prior.
The rock had suddenly broken due to a silver pulse that Astrid had let out in anger, following the dragon-based humanoids to fume in total anger. The rock was called a "great rock" in their minds, something that was extremely confusing for Desirée to understand. As the rock crumbled so did the dragon's sanity, as they appeared extremely angry and looking to fight even more than they already were. Hikari, Astrid, and Desirée were entirely surrounded by these angry beasts, and it looked as though it was going to be a large fight. As Desirée was slightly separated from the rest of the group due to her going into the previous fight first, she could not exactly reunite with them at the current moment as there were dragon people standing between them, so all she could do is hope for the best. She removed her sniper rifle from her back when suddenly she felt her back get pushed with a heavy force, resulting in her body slamming into the ground at full force- stomach to ground.
Kiwi had retreated into Desirée's body in this point, so all she could do is flip over onto her back and try to secure her rifle in her hands that it had fallen out of. It was a Dragon Knight on-top of her, its eyes flaming with anger and its claws holding down one of her hands. "I kill you for destroying great rock! Great rock is great rock! How dare great rock be destroyed by girl group!" he screamed as Desirée punched him in the face, resulting in his eyes to go starry for a few moments. "I'm a bad bitch, you can't kill me!" Desirée screamed as her forehead seemed to produce a keyhole-like space, which began to glow. "Why you punch me! I punch you no-" the dragon knight began to say as the hole was filled with its maximum light, resulting in it to erupt into a large beam of light which developed his body whole. It reigned through the sky with multiple colors, looking like a beacon of rainbows which was as beautiful as it was deadly. Desirée grabbed her sniper rifle and stood back up, her eyes narrowing down to the enemies surrounding her. It appeared as if ten dragon guards were nearing her as well in all directions, their arms interlaced to form a wall to trap her inside, which would not work out well for them. Desirée soon threw her gun in-front of her into the air, resulting in it to begin to levitate and twirl quickly around her body. As it twirled bullets began to fly out of it as quick speeds, causing a barrage to hit all of them and knock them over into a state of unconsciousness.
As she backed away from the ten unconscious dragon guards, it had appeared that a giant horde of them were approaching from the north. Running at full speed toward Desirée, she began to channel her magical power through her mouth while her eyes began to shine a bright range of multi-colored lights, symbolizing the attack was ready. She let out a large whirlwind of rainbows and stardust that traveled through the large horde of dragon-people, which pushed them backward and exerted extreme force onto their skin. Desirée began to hear more and more war chanting from them as they began to run at her once again, but she had an ability in store just for that reason. "We kill blonde bimbo!" "She is bitch!" "I'm hungry!" could all be heard from their large mass, but all Desirée could do was chuckle in response.
"You guys want a damn ass fucken gay damn ass great rock?!!" she screamed at them as they began to scream back, her hand drawing the constellation of Capricorn in-front of her. In result of this a large magical circle formed on-top of her head, which produced a giant rock out of it and into the air above her. The rock began to rotate like a large planet, its runes and signs of astrology booming with light as stars ran down from the bottom around her. Desirée pulled her hand back and caused the rock to follow, it looking as if it were loaded into an invisible slingshot ready to fire. "GO!" she screamed with all of her might, her hand pushing forward through the air. The rock shot from its position toward the group through the sky, its stars and glowing runes twinkling like a large comet. As the rock had flown Desirée heard gasping from the dragons, but all she could do was watch it fly across the sky and land in the middle of their ranks. As she watched she re-adjusted her hat that was slightly tilted on her head, placed her gun back onto her back, and drink the last few gulps from her water bottle stored in her small bag.

The dust was clearing as Hikari's eyes burned with golden light. Her glare was focused on the ground beneath her as she wanted to confirm that she had successfully taken down all the monsters that she was dealing with. Flapping her wings, Hikari would fly down towards the center of the cloud and spread her wings as fast as she could manage, letting out a gust of wind that would clear the immediate area. Upon seeing no remains of the victims, the noble woman looked around, making sure she wasn't about to get ambushed. When nothing happened, Hikari re-sheathed her blade and she turned to see what was happened with Astrid and she saw the giant rock that she had formerly been sitting was now in shambles and the white dragon slayer was furious. It must be so easy to manipulate the Wizard Saint because she really was good at letting her emotions completely blinding her. It made her... harder to interact with because saying stuff that was generally fine for her to say with other people. Sighing, Hikari would gaze at her guild mate to see how she was faring in all this. Upon hearing what Desireé uttered when she was threatened with a dragon knight that was on top of her, Hikari placed a hand to her temple. This was quite a bit of effort for something that had started this morning with Des and Hikari just talking about what had recently in their lives and to think they could go from having a civil conversation to her yelling obscenities just like the one she just said. However, the new Ace of Diamonds, was good at matching the energy of those around her due to being an idol and all so it must be her doing her normal thing. She was entertaining the dragon knights around her. But, when she summoned the rock, Hikari noticed the glint in their eyes as they looked at Desireé with wonder and awe, they looked at her like she was a goddess. Hikari felt a headache come on as she ran through potential situations of what could happen involving these dragon knights and the Ace of Black Rose. She already had hordes of rabid fans the last thing she could bring to the guild hall is feral dragon knights who will be looking for someone who is borderline an alcoholic and still claim that she is their goddess. Hikari let out a rather large sigh as she raised her hand towards the sky.
The clouds in the sky would split as a single strand of gold came from the heavens. Before the thread would reach Hikari's hands, it would begin to form the shape of a ball. After the thread had completely reached her hands, it would glow faintly gold as Hikari grabbed one end of it. She hadn't done anything advanced with Gleipnir, but desperate times for desperate measures. Raising her hand, the ball would slowly begin unraveling itself, revealing the rest of the thread in it's entirety. Getting ready to fly, Hikari would spread out her wings and go as fast as she could around all the dragon knights. She'd wrap it around any thing that she could, whether it be a horn, a wing or even just their leg. Flying up back to the air, Hikari would raise her hand slightly in order to raise up all the dragon knights into the air, dangling like grapes. Hikari would summon a few arrows and shoot them into the sides of all of the dragon knights. That would cause Gleipnir to react and tighten, inflicting more pain onto those who it was wrapped around. It was a vicious cycle really, the more Hikari summoned weapons, the tighter the bind got. However, it'd be easier if someone else finished this in a single shot. Looking at the broken remains of the rock, she would summon a small portal to the Treasury above Astrid, and out from it would drop the pumpkin spice muffin that she threw earlier. Smiling at Astrid, In exchange for that, would you be willing to clean up the rest of this. You just need a single spell to take them all out and we should be done here. I don't want anymore people coming to the guild hall. Especially these dragon knights. Hikari would summon more spears to catch any stragglers should Astrid miss. She also prepared to teleport away in case Astrid underestimated her range and almost catches Hikari in the blast. She doesn't know how the white dragon slayer thinks and this was really a test of trust. To see if the white dragon slayer would try to avoid hitting the noble woman or neglect the fact that she was there altogether.

The army of angry hissing lizards didn't even seem to mind the big giant rock that had toppled and crushed many of their own to death. In fact, to the few that were still alive or at least capable of moving, they seemed infatuated by the overgrown rock.
"Another great rock?"
"It just like last one!"
"Bimbo make great rock!"
The dragons muttered to themselves, awe struck into every single one of their gazes as they peered up at the big structure. To any other species, this would mean nothing. But this certain tribe of lizards had a tendency to... Well... Pretty much start praising anything bigger than them. At one point they had even managed to mistake a dying oak tree as one of their new gods, only to become angered when one day they found it to be cut down and be sold as toilet paper. Enraged that their god had been taken away from them they forged their own plan to kill and take over the humans... Only for that plan to be forgotten and thrown out half way through when they stumbled upon the big rock in cursed lands, and thanks to their small brains and not being able to function without some sort of leader type figure, made it their new god. It just so happened that this route was also the main route for trading supplies. So honestly, the fact they were attacking humans had nothing really to do with the fact they hated humans and was mostly because they didn't want to bother looking for a new king if any of them crushed the rock.
But now, there seemed to be a human capable of creating these deities of stone.
The dragons turned from the giant rock to Desiree, ceasing their fight.
"Blonde bimbo creator of great rocks!"
"Bimbo god!"
"Hail bimbo!"
"Hail blonde bimbo!" the dragons cried, dropping to their knees and bowing down to their new chosen god of worship.
Meanwhile...
"WHAT THE FUCK IS UP, ROCK?! NO. WHAT DID YOU SAY!? WHAT THE FUCK DUDE?! STEP THE FUCK UP DAMN ASS GAY ASS ROCK!" Astrid, while all of this was happening, decided it would be best if she continued to smash the old great rock into... great pebbles. Mostly to piss off the lizards, not that they much cared anymore as Desiree could make as many as they want. But since they liked the rock so much it was equal exchange for ruining her muffins. If they could ruin her precious, she would ruin their's. While Hikari and Desiree were off doing their own things the guild master had spent most of the time breaking the entire rock until it was nothing but dust. Punch after punch. Kick after kick. Her magic shone and shot off with each hit until this great rock was done for.
The elf breathed heavily as the dust settled and the deed was done, nothing but grainy remains surrounded her area. A strange sort of sinister smile curved onto her mouth, feeling accomplished by smashing their god into the ground. In fact it had mostly managed to settle her burning anger, which was always a win. Killed two birds with one stone... Or thousands of them now, she guessed.
While she was catching her breath the slayer managed to sense a portal open above her. With her quick reflexes, she was able to catch what fell out. A single pumpkin spice muffin. Purple eyes shone brightly, looking up to the one who had given her such a precious offering. The familiar red head. After their kind of awkward meeting last time, it was rather nice to see the lady didn't completely dislike her just because she was a little more sensitive than most. It had been a lingering fear since their time in the forest, but it seems as though it may have just been her mind playing games with her.
"Deal."
The elf smirked, using one hand to place the top of the muffin into her mouth while using the other to form a small light ball within. Hikari had managed to gather up the dragons while they were distracted, so now was a good time to finish them off so she could go back to her regular pastry-filled life. The small ball of light grew slightly bigger with each passing second before Astrid stopped it, removing her hand from under it and giving it a small flick. The ball shot off in a straight line towards the group of dragons, taking advantage of a small hole that had been left in between a few of them to travel to the center. A few seconds of silence followed, before the sphere exploded within the ball of monsters and pushed them all outward. As well as taking a big hit of light damage, the dragons would be knocked unconscious by the blast. And if not the blast itself, then at least the force of falling from so high up and landing upon the hard ground. The humanoid dragons flew apart, scattering across the ground in heaps of limp and damaged bodies. All the meanwhile, Astrid would gleefully nom her muffin, as if mass destruction wasn't happening all around her.
She got her muffin. It was pretty much all she cared about, having a one track mind and all.

Desirée Blooms
After Desirée had thrown the damn ass fucking gay damn ass rock, she noticed that it had crushed and injured most of the approaching dragons, resulting in them to stare at her in awe. She listened to them as they began to worship her like a goddess, her eyes beginning to switch to a sky blue color with golden stardust on the inside. "Okay.." she said aloud as she wiped the sweat that had gathered on her forehead because of the amount of pressure exerted onto said damn ass rock, dabbing her glove on her head as she watched them get knocked out due to Astrid's attack. She was used to being idolized by people due to being an idol, therefore it was not too strange for this to occur, but rocks? Sure, Desirée was a Crystal, but still, it was a bit different. By now, Pitaya and Strawberry had returned to Desirée's side, the mire wolf turning into its larger form and preparing for a steady ride.
"Hey Desirée, I saved my pumpkin spice latte for you after the battle! Would... would you want it?" Strawberry asked Desirée as she held up her cup, placing it in her hand while Pitaya smiled. "You did amazing in the battle, master." Pitaya told Desirée as she rubbed up against her leg, her soft fur wiping up some of the blood that was caused because of the job. "So, as they are all passed out... I guess I have a plan?" the Ace of Diamonds thought to herself as she reached into her purse, grabbing a sticky note-pad and a pen out of it and proceeding to write. "As you say I am your Goddess now, I believe that you would wish to come and serve your dearest master. My address is 71802 Komorebi Street, located in Rose Garden. I have a large backyard, therefore you can stay there. Just don't go in the house please." she wrote on the yellow sticky-note and proceeded to walk over to the nearest dragon-guard on the ground, sticking it onto his forehead before mounting Pitaya.
Walking over to Astrid's direction on Pitaya's back, she removed her iLac from her purse and proceeded to open her Lacrimagram. "Thank you for helping with the mission! It was really nice to meet you, your magic is absolutely beautiful. This is my Lacrimagram account, if you ever want to get in touch. I hope we can meet again sometime!" Desirée told Astrid as she showed her the account, her pop music beginning to play quietly as the page stayed on her screen. Pitaya, opening a portal to Rose Garden a hundred feet away with her eyes, rubbed her head on the side of Desirée's body signalling that the way home was ready to go. "Thank you again!" she exclaimed to both Hikari and Astrid, as Pitaya faced the portal in-front of her and began to pick up her pace directly toward the portal. Strawberry and Kiwi both hopped into Desirée's soul at once, causing half of her body to glow green and the other half pink, radiating a beautiful glow. Pitaya began to run at full speed and jumped into the portal, and the scenery changed drastically from the open field to that of her large backyard. She anticipated the dragon folk to show up in the next few hours, but all she wanted to do was nap after that battle.
"Well, that was an interesting day." she thought to herself as she hopped off of Pitaya's back, letting her hair down and proceeding to walk inside and fixing herself a nice glass of fireball.

Hikari watched as Astrid enjoyed her muffin, frowning somewhat because she didn't understand what all the range was about this pumpkin spice craze. It smells overwhelming, and yet at the same time, it tastes bland and boring. It was a rather basic flavour. Somehow managing to be more basic than even the simplest flavour vanilla. It was a craze that the noble woman just couldn't understand and here was Desireé who made an entire basket of muffins that were this flavour and the White Dragon Slayer that Hikari somewhat disliked, desperate enough for one to break a rock into pieces of dust. It was kind of sad how much people liked it. Hikari rolled her eyes, and her gaze caught the ball of light that was forming in the other hand of the Wizard Saint. Tightening her grip on Gleipnir, the thread would move the dragon knights into a formation such that there was now a small opening in the center. If the elf was smart enough to view the tactic that Hikari was implying, she'd aim for the pocket. And based on the trajectory, that's exactly what she was doing. It was good that she could rely on the slayer every now and then, however, when Hikari looked at the blast that was caused by the ball, and how it was pushing the dragon knights out. The red headed mage dropped Gleipnir and flew out of the blast radius. The guildmaster of Golden Phoenix usually forgot how powerful her attacks were and she was rather stressed out as the orb could have injured her quite severely but it's been a long day to be completely honest. It was still the morning. So, Hikari was ready to sit down and call it a day after dealing with these mages.
Hikari rubbed her forehead as she watched Desireé put a sticky note onto the pile of knocked dragon knights. The holy mage groaned when she heard the idol plug her Lacrimagram to the White Dragon Slayer as well. This was rather irritating. The day wasn't even half way done with and Hikari was ready to scream into a pillow. Being with Astrid already makes things stressful and with the added stress of Desireé, this was over and done with. Sighing to herself, Hikari would wave to Astrid and Desireé, silently flying away back to Rose Garden. Normally, the holy mage wasn't one to drink. But today, whiskey was sounding rather nice.
