It was a sunny day in the Neutral Grounds, so Tia was wearing her typical clothing on days like this. She always would cover up her skin, since she would never want to get it touched by the sun. She valued her skin like currency, so she would never want it to be damaged by the sun's violent rays. She was also decked out in purple, since it is her favorite color. A new invention had been sweeping the nation, and everyone seemed to be getting one. This was known as the "iLac," which was a wireless device that can access the "lacrima-net," which supposedly stores information. This intrigued Tia, since she wondered if she could access e-books on this network. Therefore, she had decided to travel to the Neutral Grounds to get one. There was a rumor that they were giving them out for free, so Tia considered this as a great opportunity. She was going there by horse carriage, which was very peaceful for Tia. As they arrived at the border, Tia felt a strange surge go through her body, which seemed to be her magical power go away. She heard that your magic gets "turned off," when you enter, but she thought it was merely just a rumor. The horse carriage came to a complete stop near the beginning of buildings, and Tia hopped out.
Tia began to walk through the city, which was populated with extreme diversity. There was sound everywhere, ranging from music to clanking of tools. It felt weird that there was no magic anywhere due to the town's rules, but it also made Tia feel as though she was equal to everyone here. As she was walking, she came across the factory she was to go to. It had "iLac Studios" imprinted in the building in big letters, which made Tia know she was in the right spot. She walked through the giant doors, and it seemed to be surprisingly peaceful inside. It seemed to be very technologically advanced, but there was simply one reception desk and benches in where she walked inside. She approached the reception table, which was inhabited by a woman in extremely fancy clothing. "Can I get an iLac, ma'am?" Tia asked, twirling her hair. "Sure. Color?" the woman asked, smiling. "Purple, please!" "This was the last purple. You are lucky!" the woman exclaimed, sliding it across the table. Tia stuck it inside her pocket, and walked outside to sit on a bench. She turned it on, and immediately noticed an eBook app pre-installed. Tia rejoiced, and began to download one of her favorite books to re-read. She then began to walk back toward the horse carriages. She stopped into a restaurant to get a glass of apple cider, and put in more information into her new iLac. She was appalled by this type of technology, and was so grateful that she got it for free. After getting her drink, she finally made it back to the carriages and began her ride back home.
