Re: iLac [Solo]
The Neutral Grounds are a safe haven for those without magic or those who no longer wish to use magic. So naturally, for a mage, travelling to the Neutral Grounds would feel very... weird. Hikari looked at the city, wondering how exactly it functions without the use of magic. If all magic is disabled within the city, how do you lose the ability to cast magic? Hikari thought about this as her boat traveled to the city appearing on the horizon. Since Hikari is afraid of boats, she is leaning against a wall huddled into a ball. I understand that they want me to have an iLac, but why couldn't they just mail it to me! This boat is really creaky, the boat might hit something and sink! What if this is my last day on Earthland! I really need to get to the Neutral Grounds... Hikari put her head down as she sighed, watching the city in the horizon slowly grow larger as the boat crossed the calm sea.
When they dock, Hikari steps onto the dock and immediately feels that all of her magic abilities have been suppressed. That... hit me like a truck, my word... Hikari puts her hand on her head, feeling a pain in her head for a moment. Then, it quickly subsides. Hikari sighs and thinks to herself, I need to get my iLac then immediately leave these Grounds. Hikari considers what she said, looks at the boat, then back at the city before saying out loud. This is worse than the boat so... where is the iLac distribution centre? Hikari spends about an hour trying to find the iLac store before she realizes that there was a sign that told her where to go.
The iLac store is buzzing with people, mages and non-mages. Even if lacrimas aren't allowed, they seemed to make an exception with this one because everyone in this city has been using one at this point. Children, who have no business talking with strangers and being on the lacrima-net. Hikari walks into the store and goes to the Smart Tavern at the back of the store, where people help those with iLacs. One of the people working there asks, Hello! How may I help you today? Hikari smiles at the saleman and pulls out the letter sent to her from the iLac company. I was invited by your company to receive a complimentary iLac. The salesman scans the letter and smiles, Ah yes! We have your's ready to go! Is there a specific colour you would like? Hikari ponders the question for a moment for saying Royal Blue please.
The salesman reaches under the counter and has a blank iLac in his hand. He plugs it into the desk in front of him and it becomes the exact shade of blue Hikari wanted. She looks on in wonder as the salesman places the iLac in a box and then into a bag. He holds it out to Hikari who graciously accepts. She thanks him for giving her the iLac and she exits the store.
Hikari, who is reluctantly back on the deathtrap known as a boat, looks at her iLac and turns it on, where it lights up and projects the settings and set up. Hikari begins this process and doesn't really finish until the boat is at the dock. Was this really worth it. Hikari wasn't expecting an answer but the iLac said, I don't know maybe? and displayed a shrugging face ( ¯\_(ツ)_/¯). Hikari giggled at the face and thought about how useful her new gadget could be.
