Magic
Primary Magic: Requip: Aspect of Protection
Secondary Magic: N/A
Caster or Holder: Holder
Description: A very tenuous type of ReQuip developed about five years ago by Jaleh herself, Aspect of Protection is a rather unique type of Requip in the fact that there..really doesn't seem to be a general theme to what can be put into and pulled from the pocket dimension. Most ReQuip users have to focus around a specific theme. Be it pulling out guns, armor, blades, or whatever. Yet, Jaleh seems to be able to bend this rule, as she can store anything that can protect someone. Be it Armor, Shields, Blades, bits of wall or other types of solid substance,or even guns. Anything that is used for the protection of someone or something can be utilized.
Of course, in the name of keeping a general theme, Jaleh has a very specific pool of items she usually uses: Blades, Armor, and Shields. The Blades are used for self defense. Armor, for self preservation. The interesting part is the Shield though. She seems to be capable of altering the size of any shield stored within her ReQuip's pocket Dimension, enabling her to create literal shield walls without suffering a loss in effectiveness. At her current level of power, she is really only able to ReQuip into one 'set' at a time, all of which tend to include a sword, a shield, and an armor. Some of these sets can notably be missing multiple pieces of this set, and in that scenario, she is capable of pulling the single missing piece from another set. Unfortunately, a major flaw exists in this type of ReQuip. As every item within the pocket dimension is classified as a 'set' she will have to pull the entire set that the piece belongs to to pull the single piece to create a new 'set', sending the rest back immediately after. This offers up some extra versatility, but is heavily draining.
Strengths:
- Elemental Proficiency: Several items within the user's Pocket Dimension have elemental aspects to them, allowing the user to deal elemental damage with certain types of attacks, while the armors can mitigate the effects of specific elements.
- Adaptability: The user is capable of switching out from set to set at near instantaneous speeds, allowing them to adapt to any situation that they might find themselves in.
- Group Protection: Due to the user's enhanced defensive abilities with the armors and shields, they are exceedingly good at defending other people
Weaknesses:
- Slayers: As with any type of Elemental magic, the elemental based weapons that Jaleh is capable of using can fuel the attacks of slayers that match up with their slayer type.
- Size Restriction: The pocket dimension used to store these items is not endless, and can only store a set number of items, meaning that it cannot be used to create an unstoppable arsenal.
- Switch Strain: A Natural downside to Requip magic, switching from armor to armor quickly is very strenuous on the user, causing them to become very heavily nauseous if too many switches are done in quick succession.
- Mix and Match: Due to this particular ReQuip working via 'sets' of weapons, armor, and shields, it is very difficult to mix and match, as one would have to pull the entire set out of the pocket dimension and add a piece to their current 'set', creating an entirely new set before sending the rest of the pieces back, making it obviously very draining to try and mix and match things.
Lineage:
- Musashi's Descent:
Description: Musashi was a legendary swordsman of the east who was also nicknamed the The Heaven and Earth Swordsman because of his spectacular swords attacks and combos that he performs with his two swords. Blessed with speed, lightning fast reflex and unfathomable agility, he was swordsman without match on the battle ground. Eventually, Musashi settled down, found a pretty woman, married her, and had children. Musashi would tell them his great tales of his battles and powers, and the children also wanted to be the exact same way; the end result was that Musashi ended up teaching his children his fighting techniques and trained them ruthlessly to become exactly like him. This became a family tradition, and it's still as good as when Musashi first developed it.
Ability: This ability grants the user great speed and lightning fast reflex. The user's speed is increased by a factor of 50%.
Usage: Speed and lightning fast reflex is passive.
Shield Wall: An ability that Jaleh discovered during her initial attempts to summon a piece of her sets on its own, she is capable of increasing the size of any shield she uses by increments of two (Ie Doubling, Quadrupling, Sextupling, etc.). This allows her to create literal walls out of any shield pulled through her Pocket Dimension, without sacrificing its inherent durability, as it is essentially a minor application of warping space, something inherent to ReQuip already. However, she can only keep up the warped size for three posts before the shield itself reverts back to its original size, causing the ability to go on cooldown for four posts. She is also only capable of keeping the warped size while touching the shields, meaning she must either be holding onto them, or in contact with them in any other way. The maximum possible sizes she can increase her shields by increases as she gains ranks. Her Maximum expansion sizes per rank are as follows:
D-Rank: Double (Two Times Normal Size)
C-Rank: Quadruple (Four Times Normal Size)
B-Rank: Sextuple (Six Times Normal Size
A-Rank: Octuple (Eight Times Normal Size)
S-Rank: Decuple (Ten Times Normal Size)
SS-Rank: Duodecuple (Twelve Times Normal Size)
H-Rank: Quattuordecuple (Fourteen Times Normal Size)
Weapon Cloning: While she cannot pull the weapons from another set of armor for use with her current set effectively, Jaleh is capable of 'creating' a separate version of that weapon within the pocket dimension, pulling it out as a basic, weak ranked weapon. This does not copy the passive OR active abilities of the cloned weapon, and is more geared towards giving her a way to deal with multiple opponents at once. This ability is passive.
- Spells:
Name: Aspect of Fire
Rank: D
Type: Fire, Offensive
Duration: 3 posts
Cooldown: 4 posts
Passive Ability: While worn, the Aspect of Fire set gives Jaleh a 25% resistance to all fire damage.
Active Ability: While the Aspect of Fire set is being worn, Jaleh is capable of coating the blade of the two handed broadsword that the set comes with in fire. This can either be used to apply fire damage to all attacks used by the weapon for three posts, or can be used to launch a large beam of fire from the blade, that travels at just over 20 miles per hour for a range of thirty feet. No matter which version of this ability is used, the ability then goes on a two post cooldown.
Description: When Aspect of Fire is activated, Jaleh is surrounded in a tornado of fire for a few seconds, which then dissipates to reveal the armor and sword that it comes with. At an initial glance, the Aspect of Fire armor would seem to be a very impractical armor choice, as the only covering for the entire chest is a red version of Jaleh's typical tube top, with a red choker that extends downwards from the neck to connect from the top. For covering of her arms, there are two red and gold sleeves that do nothing to cover her shoulders. Covering her hips is what appears to be a metal fauld that also has a loincloth in the middle. She also wears black stockings and red heeled boots. As for the sword, it is a simple two handed broadsword, with a red handle and red detailing across the sword itself.
Strengths:- Fire Resistance: While Aspect of Fire is Equipped, Jaleh is more resistant to Fire.
- Large Attack Range: Due to the size of the weapon, Jaleh's reach is larger than it would normally be.
Weaknesses:- Water Weakness: While Aspect of Fire is Equipped, Jaleh takes 25% more damage from all water based attacks.
- Slow Attacks: Due to the weight of the included weapon, Jaleh's attacks are more easily dodged.
- Scantily Clad: Due to how little this armor actually covers, the Aspect of Fire armor has 5 less HP than a normal Requip Armor of this Rank would.
Name: Aspect of Defense
Rank: D
Type: Defensive
Duration: 3 posts
Cooldown: 4 posts
Passive Ability: While worn Jaleh takes 25% less damage from all physical sources.
Active Ability: At any time during her use of this spell, Jaleh is capable of standing her ground and holding her shield out in front of her, generating a barrier that is five feet tall and five feet wide, and takes on the same curvature as her shield. This barrier can take up to three D-rank hits before it shatters. Once this barrier is broken or dispelled, it goes on a four post cooldown.
Description: When this ReQuip is activated, Jaleh is surrounded on all sides by opaque shields of light for a few moments, which then shatter, revealing her new armor, which is a set of heavy, black plate armor. The Pauldrons seem to be in the shape of very basic crowns, while the breastplate is a combination of metal plates for stability, and leather for flexibility. She also has a pair of gauntlets, one of which has a curved shield firmly attached to it, allowing her to more easily block attacks. For a fauld, she has a combination of metal and fabric which both protect her and cover her flesh, with the black greaves she wears covering her legs. She also gains the use of a regular black mace for offensive purposes.
Strengths:- High Defense: Due to her combination of heavy armor and a shield, Jaleh is much more durable than she would normally be.
Weaknesses:- Heavy Armor: Due to the weight of this armor, Jaleh only gains access to half the boosted speed given to her by her lineage.
- Short Reach: Due to the small size of the weapon she gains with this spell, Jaleh has to get in close to deal any damage with this armor.
Name: Aspect of Electricity
Rank: D
Type: Electricity, Offensive
Duration: 3 posts
Cooldown: 4 posts
Passive Ability: While this armor is Equipped, all allies within a ten foot radius of Jaleh are given a 15% boost to their speed by being in contact with the magical electricity that this armor emanates.
Active Ability: At any point during the use of this spell, Jaleh is capable of holding her sword aloft, and then pointing at an enemy within twenty feet of her. This brings down a bolt of lightning to the area that they are standing in. This bolt does not have any Area of effect capabilities, only striking the ground where the enemy was standing, and then fizzling out. Once this bolt hits anything, the ability immediately goes onto a 4 post cooldown.
Description: When this ReQuip is activated, Jaleh is immediately struck by a bolt of lightning--no matter what weather is actually present--which dissipates almost immediately, revealing her to be wearing this armor, and its associated sword and shield. This armor consists of a metal helmet, with a face covering that can be lifted and closed. For covering of her chest, Jaleh wears a layering of a leather chestpiece, covered by a white corset. The sleeves of this armor are actually rather loose fitting, and the pauldrons of this armor are simple, curving up and around her shoulders with several spikes lining the main curved portion, which also is connected to four different flared plates, which draw in attacks to the center of the pauldron. Her fauld is actually split into two pieces which cover her hips. These pieces are several layered sheets of plate metal, each of which has a single spike, creating a much more protective armor. Her greaves are very basic, and she wears a pair of loose fitting striped pants underneath them. This weapon also comes with a round shield and a basic one handed longsword.
Strengths:- Electricity Resistance: While wearing this armor, Jaleh is more resistant to Electricity
Weaknesses:- Lightning Arc: If any ally that is being buffed by this armor is hit by a water spell, their buff turns into a basic D-rank lightning spell that targets them for D-rank damage, along with arcing back to Jaleh and dealing the same amount of damage to her--while also bypassing the armor's electricity resistance.
- Earth Weakness: While wearing this armor, Jaleh takes 15% extra damage from earth based spells.
Name: Aspect of Healing
Rank: D
Type: Supportive
Duration: 3 posts
Cooldown: 4 Posts
Passive Ability: While wearing this armor, Jaleh regens 10% of her health every post.
Active Ability: At any point while wearing this armor, Jaleh can point her staff at an ally within fifteen feet of her, healing them for 10% of their health. This ability then goes on a 2 post cooldown before it can be used again.
Description: When this ReQuip is activated, Jaleh glows with a heavenly light for a few moments before it dissipates, leaving her wearing a white robe with several red markings going up each sleeve and the hem of the robe itself, along with regular brown boots. She also gains the use of a four foot long staff with two sets of angel wings pointing backwards, with a sapphire set in the top of the staff, the wings of the staff all pointing with the curved portion of the wing at a corner of the sapphire.
Strengths:- Health Regeneration: While wearing this armor, Jaleh regenerates health.
Weaknesses:- Unarmored: As Jaleh is only wearing simple robes and boots, she does not gain damage reduction to any source of damage.
- Unarmed: While she does gain a weapon with this Requip, it is unsuitable for damaging another, only really able to damage people who are FAR weaker than her (I.E. Unnamed NPC's.)
- Fire Resistance: While Aspect of Fire is Equipped, Jaleh is more resistant to Fire.
