Hello, this is TAK for those who don't know, and I've noticed a lot of suggestions going on about jobs, magic council etc. and the outcry for a bit of a change. I figured instead of replying to every topic here, I am going to assume people reading this thread have read the other recent ones or been involved in them. The main point I have seen within them is mostly that people feel the plots are stagnant or limited due to the job system or lack of NPC's etc.
I won't lie, it's difficult for me right now to do too much about it as I have loads of schoolwork from my college summer classes, however, I do want to try and show I'm paying attention. The main point I will get to which is pretty brief, I don't feel we need too many major changes to the systems or additions, however, I want to try and see if these ideas I was coming up with seems pretty good by the communities standards. I guess they could be considered compromises? I just like to think of them as alternate solutions.
Please forgive me for typos or anything, I'm really tired but wanted to get this out while it was in my head. While I know what most of the feedback might be, these were ways I was thinking of proposing to adjust the current systems, but not totally breaking the familiarity of them if that makes sense. Anyway go nuts.

- jobs: So with jobs, people say they are too restrictive and hard to do, while many times I've simply seen people try for high rewards that are a little extreme, I can understand the plot side. The names of the enemies and such and the locations, so what if instead, we have jobs with generic people with no name that was a simple task. Walk a dog, stop a bank robbery, kill a vampire, etc. Rephrase jobs to have less of a 'static" idea to them and more of a fluid one, that way no one is really doing the same job but people still have a structure, and that would cut out any middle man of applying for a job if there was already one around unless someone WANTED to make it a character job with named enemies. I think it could work, would take a lot of work and not be implemented soon, but I feel it would be a good step in testing the waters.
- Positions: So positions seem to be desired a bit more than I expected. it's like a symbol of status that is needed, really if someone is stronger than another but a lower rank who even cares, it's about the characters development anyway. But speaking of this, it is a bit sad that people from indi guilds can't really go for that goal, while half the fun is being able to do both sides of the spectrum to a degree, perhaps a positioning system could be cool, but it would have to be something along the lines of mercenary titles. If it was done, the implementation would be like the other two, just with a different flavor, fleshed out and real. Like people know about them but don't feel negative or positive about them. I've been trying to think of titles that work in a way that rivals the other two, but maybe someone else has them. Also having to do events and stuff, they could be cut out but if we did... well I won't lie most apps I have seen that were denied were due to not really selling why the character should get it, just doing actions isn't enough interaction and focus go a long way. Perhaps that's a bit harsh but, IDK I feel being a bit harsh makes the positions a bit special you know?
- magic council: the main reason we haven't done it, is because of the worry of people playing characters on the magic council from getting power hungry and trying to declare X dark or banning a certain type of magic. it's the main concern,t hat and if we did NPC's running them and consistently. I feel the staff have a lot to work with between IRL and apps, along with wanting to have fun as well and RP. Now that isn't to say it is a bad idea to try and impliment the magic council at all, they are cool and fluffy, but would everyone be happy with just more of a description of them perhaps for the time being and then maybe a fleshed out system comes in later? Would that be alright for now? I just feel we need to focus on one thing at a time and maybe job adjustment or positions could come first.
