They're powerful beings. ~static~...in the ~static~...hurry! Go back to the Ancient Ruins and save Lexa's Twin!
After your first enemy is beaten, you realize that whoever overpowered Lexa's twin, wasn't exactly an idiot. They left behind much stronger opponents than last time, and now you got to clean them up....
Enemies:
Weak: Circuit Covered Scientist
This guy has circuits all over his body, and is roughly 6ft tall. The rest of his description is up to the player (could be a zombie scientist, be shirtless, look like a normal scientist etc...). He attacks you with a scalpel, and a bone saw, each dealing B rank damage. It takes 3 hits of B rank damage or the equivilant to take him down. His circuits make it so he cannot be killed in 1 hit, and also make it so every other hit the damage is reflected back in the direction it came from, and 5x the speed. Additionally, he is immune to poison, stun, burn, bleed, stat reduction, and all other forms of Crowd Control.
Normal: Mutated Military Brute
Massive, armoured, carrying a giant shotgun in one hand and a massive metal pole with a skull on the top in the other. He takes 5 hits of B rank to go down, and will attack Lexa Grimoire specifically if no-one gets in his way. His special attack is ground slam and full auto. Ground slam causes A rank damage to all within 10 meters of him by slamming his pole on the ground, and full auto makes his shotgun fire all 20 of it's shells at once dealing A rank damage to whoever he's aiming at, and anyone within 5 feet of that person.
Strong: Lexa Grimoire x5
Yes, you read that right. Five Lexa Grimoire's are attacking you. They look the same as Lexa Grimoire did/does and they will attack you relentlessly. It will take 7 hits of B Rank EACH to defeat them all, and they each have access to the following spells:
Teleport - Lexa is able to teleport anywhere within 10 meters 1time every 3 posts
Shadow Burst - Lexa becomes a shadow and disappears, reappearing anywhere within 15 meters 1 time per 4 posts
Heal - Lexa heals herself or 1 target for 10% HP immediately. This can be used 1 time per 5 posts
Blood-Rage - Lexa's circuits glow blood red, and then explode like a blown light bulb. Lexa attacks all enemies for +50% rank damage, as well has can move 30% faster for 2 posts. Lexa cannot use any of her spells for 3 posts after her blood-rage has receded, and this can be done 1 time
After you've defeated these enemies, you enter a room that is filled with massive containers, like the one you found Lexa Grimoire in "Act I: Genesis" except there's hundreds of them and they're all empty. At this point a large man will step out wearing doctor's robes, holding Lexa Grimoire's incapacitated body in one hand. He pulls out a sword and draws a line in the ground in front him, and steps over it. White lines appear around the room, indicating that he created an arena. Also, these white lines mark the walls of the arena that you cannot escape. He doesn't talk, just points his sword at the next person in the posting order and disappears from sight. (fight time)
Boss: Random Doctor Guy?
The guy is a master swordsman, as well as a speed wizard. His skill with a sword is the stuff of legends, able to strike a man twice at the same time with his one sword. He can move up to 90 miles per hour, and stop and turn on a dime. His signature spell is one where he strikes all the players and pets in the arena once each at the same time, dealing 25% HP damage to them all. This can be done once, and he will do it 1 time. It will take 25 hits to defeat this guy.
After defeating the boss, the arena will vanish allowing you to help Lexa. She leads you all to a small room off to the side with a desk in it, and some other lab things that you don't recognize. She picks up a thick folder from the desk, and reaches into a drawer to give your team a special amulet that resembles her considering you all as true friends, calling it the Amulet of Kinship. Lexa gives you all a hug as well, and then teleports away.
Reward:
2x B Rank XP
"Amulet of Kinship"
Effect: Whilst this amulet's power is in effect friendly fire is essentially turned off. This means that no player within its area of effect(which is 45 meters) can hurt a player on their team no matter how hard they try.
A Hug
Access to "Act IV: Revelatio"
- An Explanation:
- Okay, yeah, I know I stuck you into the middle of a chain of jobs you likely have no idea about.. Sorry >.> So I took the time to make a little explanation for crappy quality for ya~
Act I: Genesis
Magical girl Bellaria and Sorano set out to help a certain Lexa Grimoire explore a lab she found. However, turns out that the lab is a transboze's labyrinth and Lexa was possessed by the transboze inside to slowly walk to her death. (If you've watched Madoka Magica, think Bellaria=puella magi and Transboze=witch. BTW, this was solely for Bellaria's plot, not in the job) However, Bellaria suddenly disappears forever in the middle of the job, and Gamon and Tykva miraculously appear and help Sorano and Hoshi save the day. Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. However, the boss is actually an exact twin of Lexa(known as Transboze Lexa in the following job) with almost the exact same abilities. Turns out she was controlling the transboze all along in order to kill Lexa. We save the day, Transboze Lexa runs away, we get reward, The end.
Act II: Adflictio
Dragon slayer Gamon and his exceed Tykva along with our very heroic duo of pure awesomeness here receive a request from Transboze Lexa to help her figure out why she barely knows anything about her past and why she was sent to kill Lexa. The go back to the lab, battle a bunch of people, and meet an odd person named Arianna Grimoire, possible clue? Transboze Lexa thanks them, everyone's happy.
Act III: Paracidium
Sun mage Brennan and the amazing duo are on another Lexa job! Here's an odd request from Transboze Lexa, the est shall be told in the thread below. Whoop.
So yeah, ask me if I confused you too much ^^ If you want all the nitty gritty details, just click the History hyperlink in my sig and find the first two acts in the timeline post.
Sorano blinked twice, looking utterly bewildered. Brown eyes slowly turned upwards. More blinking. A black hole above her head closed just as her eyes focused on it, and her fingers found the odd object that had fallen on her head and was now in her lap. Turning it over in her hands, she frowned as she recognized the item. She had held only a few of these over the past year, and only two "people" if you could call them that, would be able to generate these. A shiny, smooth black surface, tiny wires running across it and throughout it. Bordered with purple lights, the circuit sat there, with Sorano holding it like it was a bomb about to blow up. Oh... great... One of those Lexa Grimoires probably needed help again... Of course, she would need to call Gamon now and go off to help them again in that labyrinth or something.
She slowly pushed herself up, looking around the guild hall. "Oi, Kinzoku-san? Tykva-san?" She yelled into the crowd, straining to be heard over the din. A small tap was felt on her shoulder, and Sorano turned around to see a guild member she saw hanging around with the dragon slayer in question occasionally. "Mm, Sorano-chan, Gamon and Tykva are off on an overnight job right now. They should be back tomorrow," he said good-naturedly, rubbing the top of the younger mage's head. The letter mage frowned slightly, disliking how she was often treated like a young child. It was rather annoying when you were trying to appear professional and mature. "Ah, I see, thank you," she said politely, before looking around for her exceed companion. Catching the gaze of the tabby, Sorano gestured with her head for Hoshi to come over.
"W-what is it, Sorano-chan?" Hoshi stuttered, shivering at the prospect of bad news. "I believe we have a help request from one of the Lexas again," the letter mage responded, glancing down at the circuit. "Mm, let's see... how does this work..." Conjuring a mirror, Sorano reflected the image of the circuit onto it to see if s could note it's energy field more clearly. Suddenly, as soon as light from the circuit hit the mirror, Transboze Lexa's voice rang out loud and clear. Sorano's expression grew more and more thoughtful as the rather erratic message burst through, surprising many people around her. "Come on, Hoshi, let's find someone else to come with us," Sorano said brusquely as soon as the message ended, leaving the area utterly silent for a few seconds. Glancing around the hall, she would attempt to find someone who wasn't completely drunk, had a bearable personality, and was a high enough rank.
Now that would probably be the hardest choice in this whole job.
