Wanted! Hydro-Arsonist! (Samira/Lucius, Job)

With the fire being used as a light source, Samira was able to search a bit easier for the large keyring that held her keys. Her eyes soon spotted the golden accessory, the metal glistening in the firelight. Her pale hands reached for and grabbed onto her set of keys just as the fire went out to create darkness within the tunnels once more. The summoner stood once more with her lower attire now drenched from having been in the shallow water during her search. Her fingers moved around the set of keys to get a feel for each shape until she reached the specific one she desired. “Open, gate of the Avatar, Goddess of Night! Nox!” The same spirit summon routine was performed with this time a more fancy looking spirit answering the call. The four candles upon her candlestick emitted a light white glow, creating an efficient light source for the rest of their travels. The spirit herself said nothing and only gave a small curtsy towards the pair of mages. Standing fully, Nox turned and began to lead the way through the tunnel and expected for them to follow.

Samira followed her spirit until they came into a larger room filled with deeper water and a few platforms floating within the flowing liquid. On the middle platform stood a woman equipped with a special magic infused flamethrower. They had found the supposed Hydro-Arsonist. Naturally the best course of action was to just fight the criminal but it wasn't exactly always the smoothest. The summoner disliked having to result to fighting and wasting energy. "I do not suppose we can just convince you to turn yourself in?"

The woman on the platform barked a laugh, not believing the words she was hearing were serious. "You really are dumb if you think that's happening. I plan to finish you like I did the others!" With a maniacal flow of laughter escaping the enemy woman, she aimed another large bust of flame in the direction of the spirit and mage duo.

The tunnel had grown dark again after the flame eventually went out, but it seems that Samira was able to find her set of keys and heard her summoning words, in which the sewers lit up again from the light of her spirits candles, an interesting appearance and he liked the color of purple. After the spirit gave a curtsy to the mage duo, he made his opinion and said "I think I like this spirit the most out of all the spirits you've shown so far, at least she has manners." he was making a reference to Kali who he thought was arrogant. Anyway, they continued on to find the Hydro-Arsonist, to which they came to a larger room. Deeper waters and higher platforms and on one of them, the Hydro-Arsonist. He was sad that they couldn't come to a peaceful resolution as Lucius doesn't like to fight unless he needs to, but this person is a wanted criminal, it was doubtful she'd come so quietly.

She wasted no time either, as another large burst of fire was sent towards the duo. Lucius got in-front and said "Gravity Push!" aiming his hand at the fire and an outlet of gravity was sent towards the fire, it managed to clash but it looked like the fire was a continuous stream and started to combat against the gravity. Lucius looked around and saw the deep waters, the only way they could possibly avoid this attack for certain was to jump into the water. "Hope you don't mind getting wet, it might be the only way to dodge this attack!" Lucius's gravity wouldn't hold against the fire very long at this point, so he wasted no time running towards the deep water and jumping in, he's hoping that Samira would do the same thing, or do something to get her out of range of the large fire.

"So be it," Samira replied as she too quickly made her way for the deeper water. That moment was not the time to consider the consequences of taking a swim in water that was hardly hygienic. As the celestial summoner jumped from the edge she landed in the body of water with a loud splash. Nox followed and even within the water her candles still remained lit. The light of the fire from the arsonist's attack disappeared, leaving an opening for Samira to poke her head from beneath the surface of the water and take a breath of air. A move of her own had to be made and soon, but with Nox already out to provide a small light source that meant she would have to attempt a second spirit summoning. That had many risks and was not something she enjoyed experiencing due to the great strain.

As Samira floated in the water she began to feel the temperature of the liquid rising. Right. The town guard did say something about scolding water marks upon the bodies they had taken from the sewers. She had thought that merely meant the unfortunate souls ran into the elementals, but it was more likely the woman was the source of their creation to begin with. That meant she could raise the temperature of the water with ease. "Get out of the water!" Samira shouted as she made for the edge and pulled herself up just as the water began to boil. Nox was well ahead of her summoner, having come to the possibility of the water being a trap as soon as the fire attack had ended.

'Summon me.'

Samira paused when she heard the voice of her spirit within her mind. It sounded like Agni, but with his carefree and joking personality removed. His second personality was in charge and was a demanding one that she could not control. "No. There is water everywhere. This is not your battlefield."

'I only need the platform that wench is standing on. Release me from this plane of existence so that I may destroy her.'

Samira bit her lip. Kali was not going to answer anymore calls and Serqet was still recovering. Chaac would only cause them all to drown and Cernunnos needed time for his spell. Agni was the only one left of her offensive spirits. She would have to risk it. As soon as she had hold of the key she held it out and called upon the fire spirit. “Open, gate of the Avatar, God of Fire! Agni!” Upon one of the platforms the portal appeared and with it also appeared a two headed man made of flame and solid lava. As soon as the portal opened Samira felt drained. She fell to her knees with her hands on the ground and as both spirits remained on the field she could feel more of her energy leave her. They needed to hurry and finish the battle. Nox remained at her side, continuing to provide light and to guard her summoner from attacks while her summoner was in a weakened condition.

The more destructive side of Agni was in no mood for a long playful battle either. He only wanted to see the woman criminal burn. She let lose another wave of fire in his direction thinking he was as weak as her elementals. He leapt through the flames and onto her platform, taking some damage in the process. Angry at the fact she was now sharing her safety platform she threw a punch at the spirit to try and knock him off, but she recoiled in pain the moment her skin made impact on his heated body. "Your flames are beautiful, but they are no celestial flames," he grabbed onto her shoulder and held her in place as a spurt of white purified flames erupted from his body. The enemy screamed in agony and was soon silenced as Agni pushed her off the platform and into the still boiling water.

Unfortunately, the battle was still not over. The woman swam to another edge on the far side of the room and pulled herself up. She was heavily burned and her flamethrower was lost somewhere within the water. "You will regret that!" A potion bottle was pulled from her pockets and soon she had drank its contents. Near instantly some of her wounds were disappearing and it was only a matter of time before the regenerative properties restored her to full fighting condition.

Lucius felt the boiling water as he was late to realize what the callout meant from Samira, he just barely managed to get out on time but felt some burns on his body, none too serious though. Lucius threw off his purple robe and boots, as he is now only wearing his long black pants. They were fully wet and to him it felt like they would've just weighed him down, it seemed the Arsonist noticed this and said "Oh my, you got some muscles." he ignored the comment, he planned a good combo on the Hydro-Arsonist which should take her out by surprise. It seemed that Samira's fire spirit was taking her on pretty well, and could see that the Arsonist took a good hit, until she drank some sort of potion which then some of her burns and injuries disappeared. "That's problematic." he thought, she could have more of these potions and it wouldn't matter how much damage Lucius and Samira did to her... unless... "No." Lucius thought about using a very special spell that requires the sage spirit to physically appear to help Lucius cast it, but it appears the sage spirit beat him to the punch. "This woman is a threat, sure. But we only use that spell for last-resorts, it's dangerous to use it and you know it."

Shame, but he can't argue with the old sage. Lucius had a combo planned anyway to continue attacking the woman, he aimed his hand at the Arsonists leg and says "Gravity Pull!" the gravity casted from Lucius's hands then reaches the Arsonists leg, pulling it and then forces her off balance, which she has trouble getting back her balance. While she's stunned, Lucius takes advantage and prepares a debris ball and launches it against her, saying "Gravity Ball!" in which it crashes against her and the debris falls apart. He could tell she somewhat took a hit, but she shook it off and said "Nevermind! you're an annoying pest, begone!" and a fireball was launched straight for Lucius, he started to think about how he'd get out of this one.

Rolling damage dice since apparently one has to be rolled to see if the boss lives or dies. May the odds be ever in her favor. *tosses dice*

Luckily for Lucius he would not have to save himself. As the gravity mage made his attacks, Samira requested for Nox to lend a hand for she did not need guarding. Agni and Lucius had the attention of the Hydro-Arsonist, and as long as they did not let her pause for a second then she herself would be fine and safe from attacks. The night spirit quickly made her way over, moving gracefully even during the heat of battle. As the fireball made its way towards him, Nox grabbed onto his shoulder from behind and pulled him back while she switched places to stand in front of him with her back turned towards the arsonist. She wrapped her arms around Lucius in a protective hug as the fireball made impact and caused her to take the full amount of damage that was meant for him. Nox still remained standing, injured and weakened and her clothes now smoking as the attack burned a great deal of the back of her dress. She was not a weak spirit even if her abilities were for support and therefore she could tolerate at least one attack from the opponent. With the attack gone, the night spirit let Lucius go from her hug and she went back to being passive, standing there quietly as she held the large candlestick to provide light.

Agni had jumped from the platform and onto the dry edge of the room where the arsonist was preparing another attack for Lucius and the weakened spirit that stood in her way. There were too many enemies now and they were all scattered around the room. She needed to get out of there! Steam flew up into the air as the fire spirit landed on a small puddle of water. It damaged him slightly but as long as he didn't take a swim or get caught up in one of her water attacks he was fine. Not like he was going to give her a chance anyway. He did not follow a code of chivalry and as such he also did not care his opponent was a woman. Agni tackled the arsonist and begun to hit her repeatedly with his molten fists. If not for Samira forcibly sending him away back to the celestial realm he would of ended up killing the woman.

The Hydro-Arsonist remained on the ground, unconscious and likely not waking up anytime soon. That did not mean they had the luxury of time to stand around though.

Lucius was saved by the night spirit who covered him, as she took the full blast from the fireball. Lucius gave his thanks to her, and soon realized that the fight was over as the Hydro-Arsonist was knocked out. "And you thought of using that meteor spell, calculate your opponents better next time. Moron." it was a harsh judgement, but one he has to take into consideration, when a couple of hits weren't working on the Arsonist, Lucius thought of using the most risky spell in his arsenal. It was unwise of him and as the sage said, should look more closely and be more observant towards future opponents. Lucius jumped up on the following platforms to check on the Arsonist, she was still breathing but the injuries she has are brutal. Lucius believes that she won't last very long if she's not taken to a medical professional or to the authorities.

He carried the arsonist's arm over his head, but slowly and gently. He didn't want to worsen her injuries anymore then needed. He jumped over back to where the entrance of the room was, ready to head out and waited for Samira to be ready.

The two mages of Lamia Scale made it back to the sewer opening they had used to enter the tunnels before all the chaos started. The spirit Nox remained to light the way but she turned into a collection of purple particles that faded within the air the moment they reached the exit. Samira called out to the town guard that had been nearby and within moments they had climbed down the ladder, cuffed the unconscious criminal, and took her out and away. With a wave of relief washing over her, Samira climbed up the ladder as well and made her own exit from the sewer tunnels. Hargeon Town would be safe for the moment, but if another mage decided to cause trouble down in the sewers again she was going to send someone else to do it for her. No more tunnel travel for her.

With the mission accomplished it was back to the guild halls of Lamia Scale.
