Liberate the Slaves!

After the whole crazy veggie demon curse, I decided to do a harder job, just to test my limits.
After staring at Fairy Tail's job request board for a couple of minutes, I ended up on a job which says that slaves are being taken from Fiore to anther land, and they requested mages to save the slaves and capture the boss of the slavery operation. I quickly picked the job and met the client, the client are actually rune knights who found out that the boss of the operation is a mage. I don't know what to feel, either thrilled or scared as I am about to do another fightining related job. But then the rune knights warned me that this quest is only for c rank mages, but if I really want to do it, then they will ask a c rank mage to accompany me.

The distance between Magnolia Town to Hargeon Town isn't that long, It only took me one night to reach there, oh how I was pleased by that as I don't like to sleep in the wilderness that much. Guess I have to buy a tent. The next day, it was hot in Hargeon town.
I was thinking about the quest I was about to do and also the mysterious person I am going to team up with, It is said that he have many friends, I guess that isn't bad at all.

We are dealing to meet each other in the hargeon restaurant,
while waiting for him, i had ordered a drink from the waiter of the restaurant and I had a seat. It felt so good after a long walk. I ordered an orange juice, as I was thirsty.
When my drink arrived, I drank it through a straw and nothing tasted so refreshing as that juice.
Maybe I should order an ice cream, a thought came into my mind, but when I look into my wallet, I rejected that idea instantly.
While I enjoyed the drink, I had watched the scenes in hargeon town through the glass windows,
some mages are doing their weird quests, strong builders were working on something through the whole town, Oh I forgot that this town has been attacked by a sea monster, so the workers have to build the entire town. I wonder how the government of this town could even survive such politics after the attack. The monster must be scary as it destroyed the entire town and it destroyed many lives, either they are still alive or dead
.
I then thought about the job I accepted after seeing the destroyed town.
I have to save slaves from evil person who wants to sell them to people outside of Fiore.
Damn those people, I will never forgive them and I will surely save those slaves, no matter what happen.

While I was drinking my orange juice, I saw a man slightly taller than me entering the restaurant, he has a very long white hair. He wears a black- purple clothing and....
He is covering his eyes with a cloth, how could he even see through it?

Advent got back to Haragon Town "Ah if it isn't magnet town... seems to be my nemesis" he commented to himself, he couldn't help what he called it given that's exactly what it was to him, it called him like a giant magnet because he always found himself back in that place though it still baffled him as to why. When he entered the town couldn't help but turn his head towards the guards who seemed to almost groan at his appearance "Remember the rules Advent" the guard he knew as Edward called Advent grinned scratching his cheek a little "Still upset over a few pigs Edward?" he called over laughing a little, he had no reason to release the pigs of the town again given they seemed more than happy with their new living arrangements "It was more than a 'few' Advent" he said strictly crossing his arms "The damages that came with that stampede" he said rubbing his temples as he remembered how they had to try and explain what happened to the towns mayor but when he had met Advent he found it hard to believe that Advent had been the culprit. "Well if they weren't so unhappy they wouldn't have asked me to free them and thus do such things..." he commented back "So their carers are really to blame, but they're happy now so even if I was to open their gates they'd remain" he finished with a nod of his head. Edward stood still stunned at the young mages logic, he doubted he would ever understand him, but then he doubted the younger male understood himself half the time.

"I'll behave Edward I promise" he called back walking in, out of everywhere in Fiore he had found this was the only place he knew where absolutely everything was and that kind of bothered him, it meant he had been here a few times to many at least for his liking "So I have to meet my new partner in a restaurant?" he scratched his check as he had no idea which one it was as the person who offered the mission just told him the location that it was happening and that he was to help a fledgling mage from Fairy Tail. It wasn't like he was doing much at the time and he did enjoy helping people because it gave him a new learning experience however it also normally meant by the end of the task he wanted to push them down a flight of stairs. He started moving around asking people if they had seen a Fairy Tail mage and was met with mixed responses. He had no idea that they were once a dark guild that recently had been redeemed to be an independent guild.

Eventually he was given the information and headed into the place that he was told the other would be. A grin was on his face as he hummed along happily to the music walking up to the other "You wouldn't happen to be the mage I'm to team with are you?" he asked his voice sounding like he was ready to bounce off the walls. He bowed a little to the other as a hello remembering it was bad manners not to do some sort of welcome "My name is unimportant, you can call me Advent... everyone living does, even some of the dead do" he said his grin ever present before he tapped his head "Zeno, stop thinking with your stomach it's distracting!" he huffed crossing his arms the runes on his left arm easily seen with its slight purple glow.

As the guy with the dark cloth approached Zenith, he hummed while he was walking, he also have a grin like the one of a cheshire cat's on his face, Zenith got a really deep feeling that that guy is his teammate, the one who the rune knights talked about before. Zenith looked closely, and he can see that the guy with the cheshire cat's smile has the same age as him. Maybe that is good, Zenith thought, but then he realized that in front of him is a c rank mage, Zenith was amazed to know that even at the age of 15, you could be a C -Rank mage. Zenith felt inspired and he wanted to be as strong as him.
He then asked Zenith if he were the mage who will be teaming up with him for the quest.
He then quickly said something very peculiar about he being called Advent and the living does so, and so do some of the dead. Zenith thought that he just wants to make a good introduction, but never mind, That was good enough for Zenith.
Is this the guy who have that many friends? Zenith thought for awhile and then he abandoned that thought as he just met him for one second, so he should never judge him before he does anything else.
When he suddenly huffed and crossed his arms, Zenith could see some purple glowing runes over his arms. Zenith has seen the runes before, he tried to remember it but he just can't remember it, then a sudden image came into his mind, the fairy tail guild, the library in the basement, a copy of a page from a dark book, Zenith then remembered something named Requim, or was it Requiem? Zenith thought that it is Requiem, and that name made him remembered a lot of things about that dangerous magic, but as Zenith has a good heart, he could see nothing wrong with him, plus he thinks that Advent is very different from any requiem magic user before, Zenith just know that the guy in front of him is not dangerous.
Zenith then knew why he was saying some of the dead calls him Advent.
Because he is a Requiem Magic user. Zenith once read about that magic, the user have rune's signs on their bodies and the magic have some kind of side effects that makes the user see and hear things that aren't really there.

Zenith then stood up from the and put his hand out and said,
"Oh, hello Advent. Yes I am the mage you are going to team up with. You can call me Zenith, or Zen for short."
His voice shaking slightly as he is very shy with new people that he met.
"Please, have a seat if you'd like to join me."
Zenith asked politely as he was meeting the guy who will help him with his quest.

And Zenith think he is blind because, well, it is pretty obvious.

Advent tilted his head for a moment almost like he was inspecting the person whom he was to be teamed with on the job a knowing smile now littered his face where the grin had been. He had yet to come across someone who recognised him as a requiem user before this person whom seemed the same age as him, here he was impressed it also made him somewhat concerned as his magic was often seen as a dark art and many would class him as a dark mage right off the bat without knowing him for who he was. "You realise that no others who use my type of magic hear the cycles right" his voice showing that he was serious on the point "Though I have got to ask what made you look up forgotten and forbidden magics" he was curious on the matter as there wasn't a lot of information on his kind and the little that was recorded he found out was kept within high containment vaults that were constantly guarded within the halls of the magic council.

"Oh the dead are as real to me as the living... and gods they don't know when to shut up" he sighed taking a seat blinking under his blindfold unsure what the job was he was just told to be at this place and meet a Fairy Tail mage to help them with a task that had been requested of him. Then he heard the others name unable to stop himself from laughing "I know a Zenni, a Ze and now a Zen... one of my mother's is called Zen-Ze.." he just found it amusing how he kept coming across people with similar names "So... I wasn't given any information other than to meet you here, also don't be shy I won't eat you... I'm vegan" he said with a grin just to flinch as he felt his head being swatted his head turning to look to what seemed an empty corner "Hay, that was just uncalled for I was making a friendly joke... he's obviously uncomfortable it's heard in his voice" he pouted while complaining before turning around to Zenith once more.

"Before my blindfold comes into a conversation because you are likely wondering or have a suspicion, I can not see through it, in fact even without it I can't see... so yes I am in fact blind" he said in a matter of fact way, it was normally the very first thing people noticed and asked about so wanted to get it over and done with "I do have my own methods of seeing though limited and my parents help me on rare occasions" he explained covering his mouth as he yawned now allowing the other to take in the information, give him information or ask any questions he might though he listened to his unseen parents who seemed more than a little concerned that someone knew his magic type and a few of them pleading for him to walk away due to what it could mean.

Zenith was then ambushed by questions after questions, Advent asked him if he knew that he is different from any other requiem magic user, and placed Zenith in a corner after asking him why he had looked up a forgotten and forbidden magic, He felt like he is attacked by questions after questions but it is only two questions for god's sake, Zenith then answered truthfully,
"Yh, I believe that you are a little different from other requiem magic users I read about.",
Zenith then tried to answer the second question but he don't know how to explain, so he tried to explain using his messed up mind,
"Well, that one time, when I was in the library of Fairy Tail, I found this piece of paper, a torn piece of paper, what I meant wwas not a torn paper but a paper torn from a book, when I reunited the torn paper with the book,
I found incredible things inside it, and I also read something about Requiem Magic, it was just an accident, I won't go and look for that magic for no reason.".
Then Zenith thought for awhile, how did he know what Zenith is thinking? It isn't even something normal for a requiem magic user, but still, Zenith thought, than he thought again, maybe he is dangerous but Zenith have this feeling, that, he is safe. He cleared his mind and end the topic of his mind with just, 'maybe it is just his special ability that I don't know yet'.

Advent then said something about the undead is real to him and he being a vegan and other weird stuff, but Zenith enjoyed it and he never interfered him, Advent looks very fun to Zenith, he is ok with people being themselves, Zenith thinks that they can be friends forever, and he believed that nothing can stop them on their next job.
Then Advent quickly talked about his blindfold, he said that he is blind and he don't like questioning it, after the statement, Zenith laughed a little, and said,
"Advent, I already know that, don't you think it should be obvious to people plus I will never ask you that question, It is very rude."
Advent doesn't say anything after that, maybe he wants Zenith to give him some information and start to talk, so then Zenith thought for awhile, he decide to start with the job,
"So when do you think we should start? Maybe tomorrow or it could be this evening if you want to,"
Zenith said, asking Advent for a suggestion but then Zenith remembered of something so he quickly say it before Advent could open his mouth.
"Oh, wait! I think we should investigate it now, cause the shipment of the slavery operation could be this morning or maybe even tonight, why of those two different time?
cause the tide is on at that time! you can't sail at noon right? so what do you think? should we go now?"
Zenith explained to Advent briefly, Zenith does seem to have knowledge about everything, maybe he could be the next fairy tactician, who knows?

Advent tilted his head "There is very little written about my magic and all the books are held within high security magic vaults within the magic council" he explain his voice seeming somewhat concerned about his magic being read about "Where did you read about my magic, because unlikely those magic council people allow anyone to read on forbidden magics" he scratched the side of his head as he seemed to start thinking "U.. uh..." his head turned around as he blinked under his blindfold before turning back to Zenith "I'm sorry, it's not an attack or anything..." he muttered, he had been told about how the other looked somewhat uncomfortable and so wanted to apologise. He listened chuckling a little as he had no idea what he was speaking about. It was interesting however to hear people speak about something with limited information "Are all people like that?" he seemingly asked to the side it was clear he was having a conversation but it seemed with the air.

"Yeah, strong stuff... but makes us... dangerous" he said with a happy smile, it was the main reason his magic actually scared him, the smile faded as he realised that he was more dangerous than other requiem users and that was while he was sane. He feared what would happen if he fell to the madness with his magic as it was, it would be bad for absolutely everyone near him given his magic was tarnished even for a requiem user and that was saying something. "Actually, I can move around as if I can see with the blindfold on so it's not as obvious as one may think" he stated covering his mouth as he yawned "You wouldn't be the first person since I came to Fiore and I doubt you'd be the last" it often bugged him when people asked him about his blindfold then asked him to do things, but this time he felt like showing off a little "You stand at 5'4" tall, shortish yet messy aqua hair, you've got two coloured eyes one is Hazel, the other a pale blue, a healthy skin tone..." he began showing that this is why people don't know "your armour is golden at the back you have a long flowing white cloak that has a hood, it's a golden orange in the inside. the fabric of your clothing is cotton, and an azure shade but also have white fabric here and there with aqua neon lines for decoration I expect. The way you style your hair it covers your left eye almost as if your hiding something underneath." he said leaning on the table they where sat at "Don't underestimate or assume on appearance alone" a smile on his face and his tone warm showing it was a friendly piece of advice that he himself had been given.

Advent scratched the side of his head as he heard the very vague information "Investigation?" he seemed absolutely confused as to what he was suppose to be doing "Um... you realise I was only told to meet a mage here for a job, I don't have the faintest idea what your talking about" he said calmly it was clear by the youth's facial expression that he was being honest on the matter. "Evening and morning are when shift changes happen, not to mention they would have cover of the dim light to do terrible things" he explained thinking that was just common sense and if he picked that up on his own he was surprised the other hadn't given his mind wouldn't have to take several diversions to get any information. "And yes you can sail at noon, just high tide is most advantageous but that changes day to day on the changing moon" he explained covering his mouth once more as he yawned.

Advent said something about his magic is forbidden and knowledge about his requiem magic are kept safe by the magic council. Zenith was very shocked by this as there are one book in the fairy tail's library that mentions about the requiem magic, maybe it is old, Zenith thought for awhile.
Suddenly Advent looks very weird and uncomfortable and said that there is nothing such as an attack or anything. Zenith grew very uncomfortable with this guy and started to think if there is any secrets he is hiding, Zenith just keep calm and listened to what he is about to say.

Advent then started to talked about his blindfold again and how he think about what Zenith said earlier. Zenith started to feel very guilty about this as he was afraid if Advent was offended. But suddenly Advent started to describe Zenith's appearance, from the hair, the color of the hair, the way my hair are, the skin, the armor, the cloak, the material of the cloak, the little tiny details about the armor, and even my heterochromia eye, which actually none on this world know about, but thank god he doesn't know anything about what Zenith is hiding beneath the hair that he comb to hid his left eye, not only his pale blue eye and his heterochromia but something else,
something different from the world...
Zenith place aside the thought, but he is still in shock and he was amazed. Zenith was analyzing Advent for one second and then he got a clue, Advent is blind, and most blind mage have special power that some other mages doesn't have. This clue made Zenith threw all of his bad thoughts about Advent, even the thought of he able to read minds, but Zenith now believed in it, that Advent can read minds, and Zenith thinks it is beautiful. He started to feel the connection of friendship between him and Advent. Then Advent said something very warm sounding,
"Don't underestimate or assume on appearance alone"
Zenith started to shed a tear, but only a tear, a happy tear, he swipe his hands over his tear to clean his face again and his emotions,. Nevertheless this, he smiled, his most calm smile appeared on his face, the smile of him which can give warmth to others.

But all of that changed when Zenith knew that Advent doesn't have a clue about the job Advent was assigned on, Zenith started to sigh a little, after hearing what she added to my info about the good time of when a ship can sail, Zenith sighed again and he thought that Advent really dont know what the job is all about. So I started to explain about the job,
"Lately there have been slaver's running an operation to kidnap women to be sold to other countries for a their own profit, they are very evil. This operation must be stopped by us and no other else will help us. The Rune Knights are offering some jewels to whoever that stop the latest shipment of slaves to leave Fiore. First, we must not let any of the slaves be harmed, and the leaders must be made never to be allowed to escape or this slavery thing will happen again. The Bounty is for them Dead or Alive, but the Council prefers them alive and will double the bounty if done so, I prefer keeping the leaders alive." Zenith said that with a little happy feeling and a slight grin across his face, but not showing any teeth. Zenith was also proud of himself to remember every single detail about the job as he said every single detail that
he saw on the job request advertisement.

Advent remained sat where he was, he had no idea what was running through the other's head, everything he had stated was due to information that he was being given by unseen forces and personal experience since he started interacting with people. "Sorry if I made you uncomfortable, wasn't my intention... just wanted to prove just because a person wears something over their eyes doesn't mean they're actually blind. Some people apparently have offensive eye magic that they can't turn off so they wear something over their eyes to protect those around them and prevent damage" he said scratching the side of his head. He had no idea if it was true or not but he had no reason to doubt those who where telling him all this and passing their wisdom to the person whom he had now been told looked around the same age as himself.

"I can't say much on my own magic but I wear a blindfold for another reason other than the fact I am blind, I'm not allowed to go into the reason behind it though" he said with a nervous grin, when he peered a little to keenly at someone he felt guilty and done something to make the playing field fair however that came with quite a few side effects that he would rather not repeat if he could help it. He listened to what the other said taking in all the information that was being given to him "So it wasn't just a rumour then?" he seemed almost in thought as he spoke, he had heard of such a thing in Rose Garden Town but he didn't believe that people would sell other people into slavery, to him such thing was beyond horrible but to hear that is why he was requested to team with the other made the youth sigh his expression showing true sadness on the matter.

"Agreed, they might not be the head of the operation so they could have valuable information that could be used to take the whole thing down" he said with a nod standing but then tilted his head "Just a question where do we start gathering information? I mean it's not like it would be in a tourist lacrima" he said calmly he turned his head for a moment "hm? well that seems like it would make sense" he shrugged looking back to his current partner "The docks might be a good place to start since that is where all the smuggling is happening even if not there at current someone may know something" he explained wondering if the other would agree with that assumption if not they could separate for a little while to cover more ground for information and go to a designated spot at a certain time to trade the information they had found out, either way he wanted this dealt with and quickly.

Advent asked Zenith how should we start, then he said that it would be a good thing to check on the dock, Zenith think that is a wonderful idea, and Zenith had a good feeling about this,"Yh sure, that is a great idea! let us check all the ships, i'll turn into a beetle and find the right ship for you, than we will bust in and free those slaves! or if you have found the right ship just start and use any kind of magic, when i sense magic or i heard a shotgun then i will come there." Zenith can't wait to start the job,he felt very excited about it that he stood up from the table and walk towards the exit with a speed faster than normal walking, "Come on Advent, i'll turn into a small beetle and will check the ships for the slaves, i'll find you when I found the right ship!"

Zenith then turns into a beetle and flew towards the dock, the area was full of people doing their groceries, selling their stuff, people carrying things like crates, barrels, and other stuff related to it, and there are a lot of ships there,, you could never imagine it. Zenith started ship by ship, and he thinks that he should pick big ships that can carry a lot of people first as that would be obvious. Zenith wondered what Advent was doing now, as he left just like that, but he is sure that this plan will work as they cover more area.

The first ship he checks, is a ship that is made out of wood, he flew into the ship through a small whole and checks the entire ship for slaves or clue of slaves, Zenith flies around but nobody noticed him due to him being small and fast. When Zenith was checking the ship, he could find a dormitory where the crew slept, it was large, the kitchen, which smells very good, the captain's cabin,which he found a lot of gold but couldn't take a gold as he have to be honest and stuff, and their storage which filled with veggies, oils, and other stuff but no slave,

so Zenith flew into the next ship and this one isn't made of wood, but metal, solid metal with no holes, so Zenith flew into what seem to be a stair towards the downstairs of the ship and flew around the ship, but this is a hard one, as he have to fly through open doors only, which he have to wait for someone to open it or he have to wait for the corridor to be empty to use his magic and push open the door. After several doors and corridors, Zenith found nothing but documents, metals, crates filled with random stuff, letters, Zenith thought that this must be a delivering ship, once he checked the entire ship he flew through the window and out to the fresh open air, he checks other big ships for any clue of slavery such as whips, handicaps and other stuff related to slavery.

Advent blinked under his blindfold he moved his hand as to stop the other to try and tell him that as a beetle it would still take a long time given the small size; but even before he opened his mouth the other had already changed and flew off "This is gonna be a long job" he stated with a sigh rubbing at his temples for a few minutes before standing and heading towards the docks. It was clear that he wasn't his normal self in regards to what the people of the town had seen of him but that couldn't be helped given what was at stake, to him the slavers were bullies and bullies had to be knocked of their metaphorical high horses to know exactly how it feels to be bullied in the hopes it will make them better people, he also knew that this unfortunately didn't always work but hoped it would at open at least one of their eyes. "Doesn't matter if they change or not, all are judged equally in death" he said with a shrug as he moved quickly to the docks.

Bringing up his blindfold just a little so he could scan as he walked without really being noticed, he hated using his eyes in such a manner but he was spiritually gifted thanks to his past and thought he may as well use it to their advantage but soon realised there was no large spiritual clumps. "So they haven't been transported here yet then" he said scratching his head as he tried to think of the next best thing a smile came across his face as he moved towards the dock master who almost seen worried seeing the white haired youth approach fixing his blindfold "Hi Rufus!" he exclaimed in an over joyed voice making the one known as Rufus a bit more on edge about him, he had only met the other a few times but it seemed like his reputation proceeded him. "Um... hello Advent, how can I help you this afternoon? Please tell me you don't need a ship" he seemed to almost beg the other making Advent laugh a little.

Advent leaned forward a little grinning "Well in fact I do, I need a specific ship... only problem is, is I don't know which ship is the one I'm needing" he seemed happy as he spoke making the other seem confused and left groaning a little at what he was hearing "You need a ship but not sure which..." he repeated "That's not helpful..." he finally added "I know and this is where you come in, you're gonna help me find the ship I need or the spirits of sailors are gonna become vengeful and not by my doing I might add" he explained standing up straight tapping his lip as he was told the dock master seemed confused and scared "I'm sure you've heard of the kidnappings happening around town, well they're decedents of the sailors long since past or at least some of them are... they're being transported by sea some time within the next two days I need information on the ship or this town will not be so friendly" he explained Rufus went as white as a ghost hearing this "They'll attack indiscriminately such is the way of vengeful spirits and they don't care about gender, age or if a woman is with child" his voice showed he himself was scared "I'll get the information for you Advent, you might want to try Tom's Pawn on lavender petal road" he didn't wait for the youth to say anything before he ran off to gain the information needed, Advent nodded sitting waiting for the other to get back to him so they could go to the pawn shop together in hopes for more information.
